- これらの 敎えがあってから 八日ほどして， イエス は， ペテロ と ヨハネ と ヤコブ とを 連れて， 祈るために， 山に 登られた．
- 祈っておられると， 御顔の 樣子が 變わり， 御衣は 白く 光り 輝いた．
- しかも， ふたりの 人が イエス と 話し 合っているではないか． それは モ ― セ と エリヤ であって，
- 榮光のうちに 現われて， イエス が エルサレム で 遂げようとしておられるご 最期についていっしょに 話していたのである．
- ペテロ と 仲間たちは， 眠くてたまらなかったが， はっきり 目がさめると， イエス の 榮光と， イエス といっしょに 立っているふたりの 人を 見た．

- And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray.
- And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.
- And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias:
- Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.
- But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him.

- それから， ふたりが イエス と 別れようとしたとき， ペテロ が イエス に 言った． 「先生． ここにいることは， すばらしいことです． 私たちが 三つの 幕屋を 造ります． あなたのために 一つ， モ ― セ のために 一つ， エリヤ のために 一つ． 」 ペテロ は 何を 言うべきかを 知らなかったのである．
- 彼がこう 言っているうちに， 雲がわき 起こってその 人¿をおおった． 彼らが 雲に 包まれると， 弟子たちは 恐ろしくなった．
- すると 雲の 中から， 「これは， わたしの 愛する 子， わたしの 選んだ 者である． 彼の 言うことを 聞きなさい． 」と 言う 聲がした．
- この 聲がしたとき， そこに 見えたのは イエス だけであった． 彼らは 沈默を 守り， その 當時は， 自分たちの 見たこのことをいっさい， だれにも 話さなかった．
- 次の 日， 一行が 山から 降りて 來ると， 大ぜいの 人の 群れが イエス を 迎えた．

- And it came to pass, as they departed from him, Peter said unto Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias: not knowing what he said.
- While he thus spake, there came a cloud, and overshadowed them: and they feared as they entered into the cloud.
- And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
- And when the voice was past, Jesus was found alone. And they kept it close, and told no man in those days any of those things which they had seen.
- And it came to pass, that on the next day, when they were come down from the hill, much people met him.

- すると， 群衆の 中から， ひとりの 人が 叫んで 言った． 「先生． お 願いです． 息子を 見てやってください． ひとり 息子です．
- ご 覽ください． 靈がこの 子に 取りつきますと， 突然叫び 出すのです． そしてひきつけさせてあわを 吹かせ， かき 裂いて， なかなか 離れようとしません．
- お 弟子たちに， この 靈を 追い 出してくださるようお 願いしたのですが， お 弟子たちにはできませんでした． 」
- イエス は 答えて 言われた． 「ああ， 不信仰な， 曲がった 今の 世だ． いつまで， あなたがたといっしょにいて， あなたがたにがまんしていなければならないのでしょう． あなたの 子をここに 連れて 來なさい． 」
- その 子が 近づいて 來る 間にも， 惡靈は 彼を 打ち 倒して， 激しくひきつけさせてしまった． それで， イエス は 汚れた 靈をしかって， その 子をいやし， 父親に 渡された．

- And, behold, a man of the company cried out, saying, Master, I beseech thee, look upon my son: for he is mine only child.
- And, lo, a spirit taketh him, and he suddenly crieth out; and it teareth him that he foameth again, and bruising him hardly departeth from him.
- And I besought thy disciples to cast him out; and they could not.
- And Jesus answering said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you, and suffer you? Bring thy son hither.
- And as he was yet a coming, the devil threw him down, and tare him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father.

- 人¿はみな， 神のご 威光に 驚嘆した． イエス のなさったすべてのことに， 人¿がみな 驚いていると， イエス は 弟子たちにこう 言われた．
- 「このことばを， しっかりと 耳に 入れておきなさい． 人の 子は， いまに 人¿の 手に 渡されます． 」
- しかし， 弟子たちは， このみことばが 理解できなかった． このみことばの 意味は， わからないように， 彼らから 隱されていたのである． また 彼らは， このみことばについて イエス に 尋ねるのを 恐れた．
- さて， 弟子たちの 間に， 自分たちの 中で， だれが 一番偉いかという 議論が 持ち 上がった．
- しかし イエス は， 彼らの 心の 中の 考えを 知っておられて， ひとりの 子どもの 手を 取り， 自分のそばに 立たせ，

- And they were all amazed at the mighty power of God. But while they wondered every one at all things which Jesus did, he said unto his disciples,
- Let these sayings sink down into your ears: for the Son of man shall be delivered into the hands of men.
- But they understood not this saying, and it was hid from them, that they perceived it not: and they feared to ask him of that saying.
- Then there arose a reasoning among them, which of them should be greatest.
- And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a child, and set him by him,

- 彼らに 言われた． 「だれでも， このような 子どもを， わたしの 名のゆえに 受け 入れる 者は， わたしを 受け 入れる 者です． また， わたしを 受け 入れる 者は， わたしを 遣わされた 方を 受け 入れる 者です． あなたがたすべての 中で 一番小さい 者が 一番偉いのです． 」
- ヨハネ が 答えて 言った． 「先生． 私たちは， 先生の 名を 唱えて 惡靈を 追い 出している 者を 見ましたが， やめさせました． 私たちの 仲間ではないので， やめさせたのです． 」
- しかし イエス は， 彼に 言われた． 「やめさせることはありません． あなたがたに 反對しない 者は， あなたがたの 味方です． 」

- And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.
- And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us.
- And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.
