- そして 人¿に 言われた． 「どんな ·欲にも 注意して， よく 警戒しなさい． なぜなら， いくら 豊かな 人でも， その 人のいのちは 財産にあるのではないからです． 」
- それから 人¿にたとえを 話された． 「ある 金持ちの 畑が 豊作であった．
- そこで 彼は， 心の 中でこう 言いながら 考えた． 『どうしよう． 作物をたくわえておく 場所がない． 』

- And one of the company said unto him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me.
- And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you?
- And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
- And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:
- And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?

- そして 言った． 『こうしよう． あの 倉を 取りこわして， もっと 大きいのを 建て， 穀物や 財産はみなそこにしまっておこう．
- そして， 自分のたましいにこう 言おう． 「たましいよ． これから 先何年分もいっぱい 物がためられた． さあ， 安心して， 食べて， 飮んで， 樂しめ． 」』

- 自分のためにたくわえても， 神の 前に 富まない 者はこのとおりです． 」
- それから 弟子たちに 言われた． 「だから， わたしはあなたがたに 言います． いのちのことで 何を 食べようかと 心配したり， からだのことで 何を 着ようかと 心配したりするのはやめなさい．

- And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.
- And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.
- But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
- So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
- And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.

- いのちは 食べ 物よりたいせつであり， からだは 着物よりたいせつだからです．
- 烏のことを 考えてみなさい． 蒔きもせず， 刈り 入れもせず， 納屋も 倉もありません． けれども， 神が 彼らを 養っていてくださいます． あなたがたは， 鳥よりも， はるかにすぐれたものです．
- あなたがたのうちのだれが， 心配したからといって， 自分のいのちを 少しでも 延ばすことができますか．
- こんな 小さなことさえできないで， なぜほかのことまで 心配するのですか．
- ゆりの 花のことを 考えてみなさい． どうして 育つのか． 紡ぎもせず， 織りもしないのです． しかし， わたしはあなたがたに 言います． 榮華を 窮めた ソロモン でさえ， このような 花の 一つほどにも 着飾ってはいませんでした．

- The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.
- Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
- And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?
- If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?
- Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

- これらはみな， この 世の 異邦人たちが 切に 求めているものです． しかし， あなたがたの 父は， それがあなたがたにも 必要であることを 知っておられます．
- 何はともあれ， あなたがたは， 神の 國を 求めなさい． そうすれば， これらの 物は， それに 加えて 與えられます．
- 小さな 群れよ． 恐れることはありません． あなたがたの 父である 神は， 喜んであなたがたに 御國をお 與えになるからです．

- If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?
- And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.
- For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
- But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.
- Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

- 持ち 物を 賣って， 施しをしなさい． 自分のために， 古くならない 財布を 作り， 朽ちることのない 寶を 天に 積み 上げなさい． そこには， 盜人も 近寄らず， しみもいためることがありません．
- あなたがたの 寶のあるところに， あなたがたの 心もあるからです．

- Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.
- For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
