	신명기 22:1-23:25 모세는 이웃에 대한 사랑을 강조하며 곤경에 빠진 형제를 보고 그냥 지나치지 말고 돌아볼 것을 가르쳤다. 모든 종류의 혼합주의를 금했으며, 신앙과 생활의 순결성을 중요시했고, 성 범죄를 강력하게 처벌할 것을 규정했다. 그리고 하나님의 총회에서 제외되는 자들에 대해 규정하고, 인간의 기본적인 생존권 보호를 강조했다.

	유실물·성 도덕 규례(22:1-22:30)

あなたの同族の者の牛または羊が迷っているのを見て，知らぬふりをしていてはならない．あなたの同族の者のところへそれを必ず連れ戾さなければならない．

もし同族の者が近くの者でなく，あなたはその人を知らないなら，それを自分の家に連れて來て，同族の者が搜している間，あなたのところに置いて，それを彼に返しなさい．

彼のろばについても同じようにしなければならない．彼の着物についても同じようにしなければならない．すべてあなたの同族の者がなくしたものを，あなたが見つけたなら，同じようにしなければならない．知らぬふりをしていることはできない．

あなたの同族の者のろば，または牛が道で倒れているのを見て，知らぬふりをしていてはならない．必ず，その者を助けて，それを起こさなければならない．

女は男の衣裝を身に着けてはならない．また男は女の着物を着てはならない．すべてこのようなことをする者を，あなたの神，主は忌みきらわれる．

Thou shalt not see thy brother's ox or his sheep go astray, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt in any case bring them again unto thy brother.

And if thy brother be not nigh unto thee, or if thou know him not, then thou shalt bring it unto thine own house, and it shall be with thee until thy brother seek after it, and thou shalt restore it to him again.

In like manner shalt thou do with his ass; and so shalt thou do with his raiment; and with all lost thing of thy brother's, which he hath lost, and thou hast found, shalt thou do likewise: thou mayest not hide thyself.

Thou shalt not see thy brother's ass or his ox fall down by the way, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt surely help him to lift them up again.

The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.

たまたまあなたが道で，木の上，または地面に鳥の巢を見つけ，それにひなか卵がはいっていて，母鳥がひなまたは卵を抱いているなら，その母鳥を子といっしょに取ってはならない．

必ず母鳥を去らせて，子を取らなければならない．それは，あなたがしあわせになり，長く生きるためである．

新しい家を建てるときは，屋上に手すりをつけなさい．万一，だれかがそこから落ちても，あなたの家は血の罪を負うことがないために．

ぶどう畑に二種類の種を蒔いてはならない．あなたが蒔いた種，ぶどう畑の收穫が，みな汚れたものとならないために．

牛とろばとを組にして耕してはならない．

If a bird's nest chance to be before thee in the way in any tree, or on the ground, whether they be young ones, or eggs, and the dam sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the dam with the young:

But thou shalt in any wise let the dam go, and take the young to thee; that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days.

When thou buildest a new house, then thou shalt make a battlement for thy roof, that thou bring not blood upon thine house, if any man fall from thence.

Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds: lest the fruit of thy seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of thy vineyard, be defiled.

Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together.

羊毛と亞麻絲とを混ぜて織った着物を着てはならない．

身にまとう着物の四隅に，ふさを作らなければならない．

もし，人が妻をめとり，彼女のところにはいり，彼女をきらい，

口實を構え，惡口を言いふらし，「私はこの女をめとって，近づいたが，處女のしるしを見なかった．」と言う場合，

Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of woollen and linen together.

Thou shalt make thee fringes upon the four quarters of thy vesture, wherewith thou coverest thyself.

If any man take a wife, and go in unto her, and hate her,

And give occasions of speech against her, and bring up an evil name upon her, and say, I took this woman, and when I came to her, I found her not a maid:

Then shall the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsel's virginity unto the elders of the city in the gate:

その女の父は長老たちに，「私は娘をこの人に，妻として與えましたが，この人は娘をきらいました．

ご覽ください．彼は口實を構えて，『あなたの娘に處女のしるしを見なかった．』と言いました．しかし，これが私の娘の處女のしるしです．」と言い，町の長老たちの前にその着物をひろげなさい．

その町の長老たちは，この男を捕えて，むち打ちにし，

銀百シェケルの罰金を科し，これをその女の父に與えなければならない．彼がイスラエルのひとりの處女の惡口を言いふらしたからである．彼女はその男の妻としてとどまり，その男は一生，その女を離緣することはできない．

And the damsel's father shall say unto the elders, I gave my daughter unto this man to wife, and he hateth her;

And, lo, he hath given occasions of speech against her, saying, I found not thy daughter a maid; and yet these are the tokens of my daughter's virginity. And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.

And the elders of that city shall take that man and chastise him;

And they shall amerce him in an hundred shekels of silver, and give them unto the father of the damsel, because he hath brought up an evil name upon a virgin of Israel: and she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his days.

But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel:

その女を父の家の入口のところに連れ出し，その女の町の人¿は石で彼女を打たなければならない．彼女は死ななければならない．その女は父の家で淫行をして，イスラエルの中で恥辱になる事をしたからである．あなたがたのうちから惡を除き去りなさい．

夫のある女と寢ている男が見つかった場合は，その女と寢ていた男もその女も，ふたりとも死ななければならない．あなたはイスラエルのうちから惡を除き去りなさい．

ある人と婚約中の處女の女がおり，他の男が町で彼女を見かけて，これといっしょに寢た場合は，

あなたがたは，そのふたりをその町の門のところに連れ出し，石で彼らを打たなければならない．彼らは死ななければならない．これはその女が町の中におりながら叫ばなかったからであり，その男は隣人の妻をはずかしめたからである．あなたがたのうちから惡を除き去りなさい．

Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father's house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you.

If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel.

If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her;

Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour's wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.

But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die.

その女には何もしてはならない．その女には死刑に當たる罪はない．この場合は，ある人が隣人に襲いかかりいのちを奪ったのと同じである．

この男が野で彼女を見かけ，婚約中のその女が叫んだが，救う者がいなかったからである．

もしある男が，まだ婚約していない處女の女を見かけ，捕えてこれといっしょに寢て，ふたりが見つけられた場合，

女と寢たその男は，この女の父に銀五十シェケルを渡さなければならない．彼女は彼の妻となる．彼は彼女をはずかしめたのであるから，彼は一生，この女を離緣することはできない．

だれも自分の父の妻をめとり，自分の父の恥をさらしてはならない．

But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter:

For he found her in the field, and the betrothed damsel cried, and there was none to save her.

If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;

Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.

A man shall not take his father's wife, nor discover his father's skirt.

He that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD.

A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD.

An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the LORD for ever:

Because they met you not with bread and with water in the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt; and because they hired against thee Balaam the son of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.

Nevertheless the LORD thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the LORD thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the LORD thy God loved thee.

あなたは一生，彼らのために決して平安も，しあわせも求めてはならない．

エドム人を忌みきらってはならない．あなたの親類だからである．エジプト人を忌みきらってはならない．あなたはその國で，在留異國人であったからである．

彼らに生まれた子どもたちは，三代目には，主の集會にはいることができる．

Thou shalt not seek their peace nor their prosperity all thy days for ever.

Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite; for he is thy brother: thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian; because thou wast a stranger in his land.

The children that are begotten of them shall enter into the congregation of the LORD in their third generation.

When the host goeth forth against thine enemies, then keep thee from every wicked thing.

If there be among you any man, that is not clean by reason of uncleanness that chanceth him by night, then shall he go abroad out of the camp, he shall not come within the camp:

夕暮れ近くになったら，水を浴び，日¿後，陣營の中に戾ることができる．

また，陣營の外に一つの場所を設け，そこへ出て行って用をたすようにしなければならない．

武器とともに小さなくわを持ち，外でかがむときは，それで穴を掘り，用をたしてから，排泄物をおおわなければならない．

あなたの神，主が，あなたを救い出し，敵をあなたに渡すために，あなたの陣營の中を步まれるからである．あなたの陣營はきよい．主が，あなたの中で，醜いものを見て，あなたから離れ去ることのないようにしなければならない．

主人のもとからあなたのところに逃げて來た奴隷を，その主人に引き渡してはならない．

But it shall be, when evening cometh on, he shall wash himself with water: and when the sun is down, he shall come into the camp again.

Thou shalt have a place also without the camp, whither thou shalt go forth abroad:

And thou shalt have a paddle upon thy weapon; and it shall be, when thou wilt ease thyself abroad, thou shalt dig therewith, and shalt turn back and cover that which cometh from thee:

For the LORD thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee.

Thou shalt not deliver unto his master the servant which is escaped from his master unto thee:

あなたがたのうちに，あなたの町圍みのうちのどこでも彼の好むままに選んだ場所に，あなたとともに住まわせなければならない．彼をしいたげてはならない．

イスラエルの女子は神殿娼婦になってはならない．イスラエルの男子は神殿男娼になってはならない．

どんな誓願のためでも，遊女のもうけや犬のかせぎをあなたの神，主の家に持って行ってはならない．これはどちらも，あなたの神，主の忌みきらわれるものである．

金錢の利息であれ，食物の利息であれ，すべて利息をつけて貸すことのできるものの利息を，あなたの同胞から取ってはならない．

外國人から利息を取ってもよいが，あなたの同胞からは利息を取ってはならない．それは，あなたが，はいって行って，所有しようとしている地で，あなたの神，主が，あなたの手のわざのすべてを祝福されるためである．

He shall dwell with thee, even among you, in that place which he shall choose in one of thy gates, where it liketh him best: thou shalt not oppress him.

There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.

Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of the LORD thy God for any vow: for even both these are abomination unto the LORD thy God.

Thou shalt not lend upon usury to thy brother; usury of money, usury of victuals, usury of any thing that is lent upon usury:

Unto a stranger thou mayest lend upon usury; but unto thy brother thou shalt not lend upon usury: that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all that thou settest thine hand to in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

あなたの神，主に誓願をするとき，それを遲れずに果たさなければならない．あなたの神，主は，必ずあなたにそれを求め，あなたの罪とされるからである．

もし誓願をやめるなら，罪にはならない．

あなたのくちびるから出たことを守り，あなたの口で約束して，自分から進んであなたの神，主に誓願したとおりに行なわなければならない．

隣人のぶどう畑にはいったとき，あなたは思う存分，滿ち足りるまでぶどうを食べてもよいが，あなたのかごに入れてはならない．

隣人の麥畑の中にはいったとき，あなたは穗を手で摘んでもよい．しかし，隣人の麥畑でかまを使ってはならない．

When thou shalt vow a vow unto the LORD thy God, thou shalt not slack to pay it: for the LORD thy God will surely require it of thee; and it would be sin in thee.

But if thou shalt forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in thee.

That which is gone out of thy lips thou shalt keep and perform; even a freewill offering, according as thou hast vowed unto the LORD thy God, which thou hast promised with thy mouth.

When thou comest into thy neighbour's vineyard, then thou mayest eat grapes thy fill at thine own pleasure; but thou shalt not put any in thy vessel.

When thou comest into the standing corn of thy neighbour, then thou mayest pluck the ears with thine hand; but thou shalt not move a sickle unto thy neighbour's standing corn.
