	사무엘하 12:1-13:39 밧세바 사건에 대하여 나단의 책망과 경고를 들은 다윗은 즉시로 죄를 자백하고 회개했다. 하나님께서는 이 사건으로 인해 다윗의 집안에 재난이 끊이지 않으리라는 경고의 말씀을 하시고, 밧세바의 아이의 생명을 거둬 가셨다. 그 말씀대로 다윗의 장자 암논이 누이 다말을 강제 추행하고 내어 버리는 사건이 일어났다. 이 일을 알게 된 다말의 친오라비 압살롬은 암논을 보복 살해했다.

	나단의 책망과 다윗의 회개(12:1-12:31)

主がナタンをダビデのところに遣わされたので，彼はダビデのところに來て言った．「ある町にふたりの人がいました．ひとりは富んでいる人，ひとりは貧しい人でした．

富んでいる人には，非常に多くの羊と牛の群れがいますが，

貧しい人は，自分で買って來て育てた一頭の小さな雌の子羊のほかは，何も持っていませんでした．子羊は彼とその子どもたちといっしょに暮らし，彼と同じ食物を食べ，同じ杯から飮み，彼のふところでやすみ，まるで彼の娘のようでした．

あるとき，富んでいる人のところにひとりの旅人が來ました．彼は自分のところに來た旅人のために自分の羊や牛の群れから取って調理するのを惜しみ，貧しい人の雌の子羊を取り上げて，自分のところに來た人のために調理しました．」

すると，ダビデは，その男に對して激しい怒りを燃やし，ナタンに言った．「主は生きておられる．そんなことをした男は死刑だ．

And the LORD sent Nathan unto David. And he came unto him, and said unto him, There were two men in one city; the one rich, and the other poor.

The rich man had exceeding many flocks and herds:

But the poor man had nothing, save one little ewe lamb, which he had bought and nourished up: and it grew up together with him, and with his children; it did eat of his own meat, and drank of his own cup, and lay in his bosom, and was unto him as a daughter.

And there came a traveller unto the rich man, and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd, to dress for the wayfaring man that was come unto him; but took the poor man's lamb, and dressed it for the man that was come to him.

And David's anger was greatly kindled against the man; and he said to Nathan, As the LORD liveth, the man that hath done this thing shall surely die:

その男は，あわれみの心もなく，そんなことをしたのだから，その雌の子羊を四倍にして償わなければならない．」

ナタンはダビデに言った．「あなたがその男です．イスラエルの神，主はこう仰せられる．『わたしはあなたに油をそそいで，イスラエルの王とし，サウルの手からあなたを救い出した．

さらに，あなたの主人の家を與え，あなたの主人の妻たちをあなたのふところに渡し，イスラエルとユダの家も與えた．それでも少ないというのなら，わたしはあなたにもっと多くのものを增し加えたであろう．

それなのに，どうしてあなたは主のことばをさげすみ，わたしの目の前に惡を行なったのか．あなたはヘテ人ウリヤを劍で打ち，その妻を自分の妻にした．あなたが彼をアモン人の劍で切り殺したのだ．

今や劍は，いつまでもあなたの家から離れない．あなたがわたしをさげすみ，ヘテ人ウリヤの妻を取り，自分の妻にしたからである．』

And he shall restore the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing, and because he had no pity.

And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul;

And I gave thee thy master's house, and thy master's wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too little, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things.

Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.

Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife.

主はこう仰せられる．『聞け．わたしはあなたの家の中から，あなたの上にわざわいを引き起こす．あなたの妻たちをあなたの目の前で取り上げ，あなたの友に與えよう．その人は，白¿公然と，あなたの妻たちと寢るようになる．

あなたは隱れて，それをしたが，わたしはイスラエル全部の前で，太陽の前で，このことを行なおう．』」

ダビデはナタンに言った．「私は主に對して罪を犯した．」ナタンはダビデに言った．「主もまた，あなたの罪を見過ごしてくださった．あなたは死なない．

しかし，あなたはこのことによって，主の敵に大いに侮りの心を起こさせたので，あなたに生まれる子は必ず死ぬ．」

こうしてナタンは自分の家へ戾った．主は，ウリヤの妻がダビデに産んだ子を打たれたので，その子は病氣になった．

Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.

For thou didst it secretly: but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.

And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die.

Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die.

And Nathan departed unto his house. And the LORD struck the child that Uriah's wife bare unto David, and it was very sick.

ダビデはその子のために神に願い求め，斷食をして，引きこもり，一晩中，地に伏していた．

彼の家の長老たちは彼のそばに立って，彼を地から起こそうとしたが，ダビデは起きようともせず，彼らといっしょに食事を取ろうともしなかった．

七日目に子どもは死んだが，ダビデの家來たちは，その子が死んだことをダビデに告げるのを恐れた．「王はあの子が生きている時，われわれが話しても，言うことを聞かなかった．どうしてあの子が死んだことを王に言えようか．王は何か惡い事をされるかもしれない．」と彼らが思ったからである．

しかしダビデは，家來たちがひそひそ話し合っているのを見て，子どもが死んだことを悟った．それでダビデは家來たちに言った．「子どもは死んだのか．」彼らは言った．「なくなられました．」

するとダビデは地から起き上がり，からだを洗って身に油を塗り，着物を着替えて，主の宮にはいり，禮拜をしてから，自分の家へ歸った．そして食事の用意をさせて，食事をとった．

David therefore besought God for the child; and David fasted, and went in, and lay all night upon the earth.

And the elders of his house arose, and went to him, to raise him up from the earth: but he would not, neither did he eat bread with them.

And it came to pass on the seventh day, that the child died. And the servants of David feared to tell him that the child was dead: for they said, Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spake unto him, and he would not hearken unto our voice: how will he then vex himself, if we tell him that the child is dead?

But when David saw that his servants whispered, David perceived that the child was dead: therefore David said unto his servants, Is the child dead? And they said, He is dead.

Then David arose from the earth, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his apparel, and came into the house of the LORD, and worshipped: then he came to his own house; and when he required, they set bread before him, and he did eat.

すると家來たちが彼に言った．「あなたのなさったこのことは，いったいどういうことですか．お子さまが生きておられる時は斷食をして泣かれたのに，お子さまがなくなられると，起き上がり，食事をなさるとは．」

ダビデは言った．「子どもがまだ生きている時に私が斷食をして泣いたのは，もしかすると，主が私をあわれみ，子どもが生きるかもしれない，と思ったからだ．

しかし今，子どもは死んでしまった．私はなぜ，斷食をしなければならないのか．あの子をもう一度，呼び戾せるであろうか．私はあの子のところに行くだろうが，あの子は私のところに戾っては來ない．」

ダビデは妻バテ · シェバを慰め，彼女のところにはいり，彼女と寢た．彼女が男の子を産んだとき，彼はその名をソロモンと名づけた．主はその子を愛されたので，

預言者ナタンを遣わして，主のために，その名をエディデヤと名づけさせた．

Then said his servants unto him, What thing is this that thou hast done? thou didst fast and weep for the child, while it was alive; but when the child was dead, thou didst rise and eat bread.

And he said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept: for I said, Who can tell whether GOD will be gracious to me, that the child may live?

But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.

And David comforted Bathsheba his wife, and went in unto her, and lay with her: and she bare a son, and he called his name Solomon: and the LORD loved him.

And he sent by the hand of Nathan the prophet; and he called his name Jedidiah, because of the LORD.

さて，ヨアブはアモン人のラバと戰い，この王の町を攻め取った．

And Joab fought against Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and took the royal city.

And Joab sent messengers to David, and said, I have fought against Rabbah, and have taken the city of waters.

Now therefore gather the rest of the people together, and encamp against the city, and take it: lest I take the city, and it be called after my name.

And David gathered all the people together, and went to Rabbah, and fought against it, and took it.

And he took their king's crown from off his head, the weight whereof was a talent of gold with the precious stones: and it was set on David's head. And he brought forth the spoil of the city in great abundance.

彼はその町の人¿を連れてきて，石のこぎりや，鐵のつるはし，鐵の斧を使う仕事につかせ，れんが作りの仕事をさせた．ダビデはアモン人のすべての町¿に對して，このようにした．こうして，ダビデと民のすべてはエルサレムに歸った．

And he brought forth the people that were therein, and put them under saws, and under harrows of iron, and under axes of iron, and made them pass through the brick-kiln: and thus did he unto all the cities of the children of Ammon. So David and all the people returned unto Jerusalem.

	암논과 다말(13:1-13:19)

その後のことである．ダビデの子アブシャロムに，タマルという名の美しい妹がいたが，ダビデの子アムノンは彼女を戀していた．

アムノンは，妹タマルのために，苦しんで，わずらうようになった．というのは，彼女が處女であって，アムノンには，彼女に何かするということはとてもできないと思われたからである．

アムノンには，ダビデの兄弟シムアの子でヨナダブという名の友人がいた．ヨナダブは非常に惡賢い男であった．

彼はアムノンに言った．「王子さま．あなたは，なぜ，朝ごとにやつれていくのか，そのわけを話してくれませんか．」アムノンは彼に言った．「私は，兄弟アブシャロムの妹タマルを愛している．」

And it came to pass after this, that Absalom the son of David had a fair sister, whose name was Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loved her.

And Amnon was so vexed, that he fell sick for his sister Tamar; for she was a virgin; and Amnon thought it hard for him to do anything to her.

But Amnon had a friend, whose name was Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David's brother: and Jonadab was a very subtil man.

And he said unto him, Why art thou, being the king's son, lean from day to day? wilt thou not tell me? And Amnon said unto him, I love Tamar, my brother Absalom's sister.

And Jonadab said unto him, Lay thee down on thy bed, and make thyself sick: and when thy father cometh to see thee, say unto him, I pray thee, let my sister Tamar come, and give me meat, and dress the meat in my sight, that I may see it, and eat it at her hand.

そこでアムノンは床につき，假病を使った．王が見舞いに來ると，アムノンは王に言った．「どうか，妹のタマルをよこし，目の前で二つの甘いパンを作らせてください．私は彼女の手から食べたいのです．」

そこでダビデは，タマルの家に人をやって言った．「兄さんのアムノンの家に行って，病人食を作ってあげなさい．」

それでタマルが兄アムノンの家に行ったところ，彼は床についていた．彼女は粉を取って，それをこね，彼の目の前で甘いパンを作って，それを燒いた．

彼女は平なべを取り，彼の前に甘いパンを出したが，彼は食べようとしなかった．アムノンが，「みな，ここから出て行け．」と言ったので，みなアムノンのところから出て行った．

So Amnon lay down, and made himself sick: and when the king was come to see him, Amnon said unto the king, I pray thee, let Tamar my sister come, and make me a couple of cakes in my sight, that I may eat at her hand.

Then David sent home to Tamar, saying, Go now to thy brother Amnon's house, and dress him meat.

So Tamar went to her brother Amnon's house; and he was laid down. And she took flour, and kneaded it, and made cakes in his sight, and did bake the cakes.

And she took a pan, and poured them out before him; but he refused to eat. And Amnon said, Have out all men from me. And they went out every man from him.

And Amnon said unto Tamar, Bring the meat into the chamber, that I may eat of thine hand. And Tamar took the cakes which she had made, and brought them into the chamber to Amnon her brother.

彼女が食べさせようとして，彼に近づくと，彼は彼女をつかまえて言った．「妹よ．さあ，私と寢ておくれ．」

And when she had brought them unto him to eat, he took hold of her, and said unto her, Come lie with me, my sister.

And she answered him, Nay, my brother, do not force me; for no such thing ought to be done in Israel: do not thou this folly.

And I, whither shall I cause my shame to go? and as for thee, thou shalt be as one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, I pray thee, speak unto the king; for he will not withhold me from thee.

Howbeit he would not hearken unto her voice: but, being stronger than she, forced her, and lay with her.

Then Amnon hated her exceedingly; so that the hatred wherewith he hated her was greater than the love wherewith he had loved her. And Amnon said unto her, Arise, be gone.

彼女は言った．「それはなりません．私を追い出すなど，あなたが私にしたあのことより，なおいっそう，惡いことです．」しかし，彼は彼女の言うことを聞こうともせず，

召使の若い者を呼んで言った．「この女をここから外に追い出して，戶をしめてくれ．」

And she said unto him, There is no cause: this evil in sending me away is greater than the other that thou didst unto me. But he would not hearken unto her.

Then he called his servant that ministered unto him, and said, Put now this woman out from me, and bolt the door after her.

And she had a garment of divers colours upon her: for with such robes were the king's daughters that were virgins apparelled. Then his servant brought her out, and bolted the door after her.

And Tamar put ashes on her head, and rent her garment of divers colours that was on her, and laid her hand on her head, and went on crying.

	압살롬의 보복(13:20-13:39)

彼女の兄アブシャロムは彼女に言った．「おまえの兄アムノンが，おまえといっしょにいたのか．だが妹よ．今は默っていなさい．あれはおまえの兄なのだ．あのことで心配しなくてもよい．」それでタマルは，兄アブシャロムの家で，ひとりわびしく暮らしていた．

ダビデ王は，事の一部始終を聞いて激しく怒った．

アブシャロムは，アムノンにこのことが良いとも惡いとも何も言わなかった．アブシャロムは，アムノンが妹タマルをはずかしめたことで，彼を憎んでいたからである．

それから滿二年たって，アブシャロムがエフライムの近くのバアル · ハツォルで羊の毛の刈り取りの祝いをしたとき，アブシャロムは王の息子たち全部を招くことにした．

アブシャロムは王のもとに行って言った．「このたび，このしもべが羊の毛の刈り取りの祝いをすることになりました．どうか，王も，あなたの家來たちも，このしもべといっしょにおいでください．」

And Absalom her brother said unto her, Hath Amnon thy brother been with thee? but hold now thy peace, my sister: he is thy brother; regard not this thing. So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalom's house.

But when king David heard of all these things, he was very wroth.

And Absalom spake unto his brother Amnon neither good nor bad: for Absalom hated Amnon, because he had forced his sister Tamar.

And it came to pass after two full years, that Absalom had sheepshearers in Baalhazor, which is beside Ephraim: and Absalom invited all the king's sons.

And Absalom came to the king, and said, Behold now, thy servant hath sheepshearers; let the king, I beseech thee, and his servants go with thy servant.

すると王はアブシャロムに言った．「いや，わが子よ．われわれ全部が行くのは良くない．あなたの重荷になってはいけないから．」アブシャロムは，しきりに勸めたが，ダビデは行きたがらず，ただ彼に祝福を與えた．

それでアブシャロムは言った．「それなら，どうか，私の兄弟アムノンを私どもといっしょに行かせてください．」王は彼に言った．「なぜ，彼があなたといっしょに行かなければならないのか．」

しかし，アブシャロムが，しきりに勸めたので，王はアムノンと王の息子たち全部を彼といっしょに行かせた．

アブシャロムは自分に仕える若い者たちに命じて言った．「よく注意して，アムノンが醉って上きげんになったとき，私が『アムノンを打て．』と言ったら，彼を殺せ．恐れてはならない．この私が命じるのではないか．强くあれ．力ある者となれ．」

アブシャロムの若い者たちが，アブシャロムの命じたとおりにアムノンにしたので，王の息子たちはみな立ち上がって，おのおの自分の ¿馬に乘って逃げた．

And the king said to Absalom, Nay, my son, let us not all now go, lest we be chargeable unto thee. And he pressed him: howbeit he would not go, but blessed him.

Then said Absalom, If not, I pray thee, let my brother Amnon go with us. And the king said unto him, Why should he go with thee?

But Absalom pressed him, that he let Amnon and all the king's sons go with him.

Now Absalom had commanded his servants, saying, Mark ye now when Amnon's heart is merry with wine, and when I say unto you, Smite Amnon; then kill him, fear not: have not I commanded you? be courageous, and be valiant.

And the servants of Absalom did unto Amnon as Absalom had commanded. Then all the king's sons arose, and every man gat him up upon his mule, and fled.

彼らがまだ道の途中にいたとき，ダビデのところに次のような知らせが着いた．「アブシャロムは王の子たちを全部殺しました．殘された方はひとりもありません．」

そこで王は立ち上がり，着物を裂き，地に伏した．かたわらに立っていた家來たちもみな，着物を裂いた．

しかしダビデの兄弟シムアの子ヨナダブは，證言をして言った．「王さま．彼らが王の子である若者たちを全部殺したとお思いなさいませんように．アムノンだけが死んだのです．それはアブシャロムの命令によるので，アムノンが妹のタマルをはずかしめた日から，胸に持っていたことです．

今，王さま．王子たち全部が殺された，という知らせを心に留めないでください．アムノンだけが死んだのです．」

一方，アブシャロムは逃げた．見張りの若者が目を上げて見ると，見よ，彼のうしろの山沿いの道から大ぜいの人¿がやって來るところであった．

And it came to pass, while they were in the way, that tidings came to David, saying, Absalom hath slain all the king's sons, and there is not one of them left.

Then the king arose, and tare his garments, and lay on the earth; and all his servants stood by with their clothes rent.

And Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David's brother, answered and said, Let not my lord suppose that they have slain all the young men the king's sons; for Amnon only is dead: for by the appointment of Absalom this hath been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar.

Now therefore let not my lord the king take the thing to his heart, to think that all the king's sons are dead: for Amnon only is dead.

But Absalom fled. And the young man that kept the watch lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came much people by the way of the hill side behind him.

ヨナダブは王に言った．「ご覽ください．王子たちが來られます．このしもべが申し上げたとおりになりました．」

彼が語り終えたとき，そこに王子たちが來て，聲をあげて泣いた．王もその家來たちもみな，非常に激しく泣いた．

アブシャロムは，ゲシュルの王アミフデの子タルマイのところに逃げた．ダビデは，いつまでもアムノンの死を嘆き悲しんでいた．

アブシャロムは，ゲシュルに逃げて行き，三年の間そこにいた．

ダビデ王はアブシャロムに會いに出ることはやめた．アムノンが死んだので，アムノンのために悔やんでいたからである．

And Jonadab said unto the king, Behold, the king's sons come: as thy servant said, so it is.

And it came to pass, as soon as he had made an end of speaking, that, behold, the king's sons came, and lifted up their voice and wept: and the king also and all his servants wept very sore.

But Absalom fled, and went to Talmai, the son of Ammihud, king of Geshur. And David mourned for his son every day.

So Absalom fled, and went to Geshur, and was there three years.

And the soul of king David longed to go forth unto Absalom: for he was comforted concerning Amnon, seeing he was dead.
