- サウロ は， ステパノ を 殺すことに 贊成していた． その 日， エルサレム の 敎會に 對する 激しい 迫害が 起こり， 使徒たち 以外の 者はみな， ユダヤ と サマリヤ の 諸地方に 散らされた．
- 敬 ·な 人たちは ステパノ を 葬り， 彼のために 非常に 悲しんだ．
- サウロ は 敎會を 荒らし， 家¿にはいって， 男も 女も 引きずり 出し， 次¿に 牢に 入れた．
- 他方， 散らされた 人たちは， みことばを 宣べながら， 巡り 步いた．
- ピリポ は サマリヤ の 町に 下って 行き， 人¿に キリスト を 宣べ 傳えた．

- And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.
- And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him.
- As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.
- Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word.
- Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them.

- 群衆は ピリポ の 話を 聞き， その 行なっていたしるしを 見て， みなそろって， 彼の 語ることに 耳を 傾けた．
- 汚れた 靈につかれた 多くの 人たちからは， その 靈が 大聲で 叫んで 出て 行くし， 大ぜいの 中風の 者や 足のきかない 者は 直ったからである．
- それでその 町に 大きな 喜びが 起こった．
- ところが， この 町に シモン という 人がいた． 彼は 以前からこの 町で 魔術を 行なって， サマリヤ の 人¿を 驚かし， 自分は 偉大な 者だと 話していた．
- 小さな 者から 大きな 者に 至るまで， あらゆる 人¿が 彼に 關心を 抱き， 「この 人こそ， 大能と 呼ばれる， 神の 力だ． 」と 言っていた．

- And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.
- For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed.
- And there was great joy in that city.
- But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one:
- To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God.

- 人¿が 彼に 關心を 抱いたのは， 長い 間， その 魔術に 驚かされていたからである．
- しかし， ピリポ が 神の 國と イエス · キリスト の 御名について 宣べるのを 信じた 彼らは， 男も 女も バプテスマ を 受けた．
- シモン 自身も 信じて， バプテスマ を 受け， いつも ピリポ についていた． そして， しるしとすばらしい 奇蹟が 行なわれるのを 見て， 驚いていた．
- さて， エルサレム にいる 使徒たちは， サマリヤ の 人¿が 神のことばを 受け 入れたと 聞いて， ペテロ と ヨハネ を 彼らのところへ 遣わした．
- ふたりは 下って 行って， 人¿が 聖靈を 受けるように 祈った．

- And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries.
- But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
- Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.
- Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:
- Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:

- 彼らは 主 イエス の 御名によって バプテスマ を 受けていただけで， 聖靈がまだだれにも 下っておられなかったからである．
- ふたりが 彼らの 上に 手を 置くと， 彼らは 聖靈を 受けた．
- 使徒たちが 手を 置くと 聖靈が 與えられるのを 見た シモン は， 使徒たちのところに 金を 持って 來て，
- 「私が 手を 置いた 者がだれでも 聖靈を 受けられるように， この 權威を 私にも 下さい． 」と 言った．
- ペテロ は 彼に 向かって 言った． 「あなたの 金は， あなたとともに 滅びるがよい． あなたは 金で 神の 賜物を 手に 入れようと 思っているからです．

- (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
- Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.
- And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,
- Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.
- But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.

- あなたは， このことについては 何の 關係もないし， それにあずかることもできません． あなたの 心が 神の 前に 正しくないからです．
- だから， この 惡事を 悔い 改めて， 主に 祈りなさい． あるいは， 心に 抱いた 思いが 赦されるかもしれません．
- あなたはまだ 苦い 膽汁と 不義のきずなの 中にいることが， 私にはよくわかっています． 」
- シモン は 答えて 言った． 「あなたがたの 言われた 事が 何も 私に 起こらないように， 私のために 主に 祈ってください． 」
- このようにして， 使徒たちはおごそかにあかしをし， また 主のことばを 語って 後， エルサレム への 歸途につき， サマリヤ 人の 多くの 村でも 福音を 宣べ 傳えた．

- Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God.
- Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.
- For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.
- Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the LORD for me, that none of these things which ye have spoken come upon me.
- And they, when they had testified and preached the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans.
