- というのは， 不義をもって 眞理をはばんでいる 人¿のあらゆる 不敬 ·と 不正に 對して， 神の 怒りが 天から 啓示されているからです．
- なぜなら， 神について 知りうることは， 彼らに 明らかであるからです． それは 神が 明らかにされたのです．
- 神の， 目に 見えない 本性， すなわち 神の 永遠の 力と 神性は， 世界の 創造された 時からこのかた， 被造物によって 知られ， はっきりと 認められるのであって， 彼らに 弁解の 余地はないのです．
- というのは， 彼らは， 神を 知っていながら， その 神を 神としてあがめず， 感謝もせず， かえってその 思いはむなしくなり， その 無知な 心は 暗くなったからです．
- 彼らは， 自分では 知者であると 言いながら， 愚かな 者となり，

- For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
- Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
- For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
- Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
- Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

- 不滅の 神の 御榮えを， 滅ぶべき 人間や， 鳥， ¿， はうもののかたちに 似た 物と 代えてしまいました．
- それゆえ， 神は， 彼らをその 心の 欲望のままに 汚れに 引き 渡され， そのために 彼らは， 互いにそのからだをはずかしめるようになりました．
- それは， 彼らが 神の 眞理を 僞りと 取り 代え， 造り 主の 代わりに 造られた 物を 拜み， これに 仕えたからです． 造り 主こそ， とこしえにほめたたえられる 方です． ア ― メン ．
- こういうわけで， 神は 彼らを 恥ずべき 情欲に 引き 渡されました． すなわち， 女は 自然の 用を 不自然なものに 代え，
- 同じように， 男も， 女の 自然な 用を 捨てて 男どうしで 情欲に 燃え， 男が 男と 恥ずべきことを 行なうようになり， こうしてその 誤りに 對する 當然の 報いを 自分の 身に 受けているのです．

- And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
- Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
- Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
- For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
- And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

- また， 彼らが 神を 知ろうとしたがらないので， 神は 彼らを 良くない 思いに 引き 渡され， そのため 彼らは， してはならないことをするようになりました．
- 彼らは， あらゆる 不義と 惡とむさぼりと 惡意とに 滿ちた 者， ねたみと 殺意と 爭いと 欺きと 惡だくみとでいっぱいになった 者， 陰口を 言う 者，
- そしる 者， 神を 憎む 者， 人を 人と 思わぬ 者， 高ぶる 者， 大言壯語する 者， 惡事をたくらむ 者， 親に 逆らう 者，
- わきまえのない 者， 約束を 破る 者， 情け 知らずの 者， 慈愛のない 者です．
- 彼らは， そのようなことを 行なえば， 死罪に 當たるという 神の 定めを 知っていながら， それを 行なっているだけでなく， それを 行なう 者に 心から 同意しているのです．

- And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
- Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
- Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
- Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
- Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
