- ですから， すべて 他人をさばく 人よ． あなたに 弁解の 余地はありません． あなたは， 他人をさばくことによって， 自分自身を 罪に 定めています． さばくあなたが， それと 同じことを 行なっているからです．
- 私たちは， そのようなことを 行なっている 人¿に 下る 神のさばきが 正しいことを 知っています．
- そのようなことをしている 人¿をさばきながら， 自分で 同じことをしている 人よ． あなたは， 自分は 神のさばきを 免れるのだとでも 思っているのですか．
- それとも， 神の 慈愛があなたを 悔い 改めに 導くことも 知らないで， その 豊かな 慈愛と 忍耐と 寬容とを 輕んじているのですか．
- ところが， あなたは， かたくなさと 悔い 改めのない 心のゆえに， 御怒りの 日， すなわち， 神の 正しいさばきの 現われる 日の 御怒りを 自分のために 積み 上げているのです．

- Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
- But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.
- And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?
- Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
- But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

- 神は， ひとりひとりに， その 人の 行ないに 從って 報いをお 與えになります．
- 忍耐をもって 善を 行ない， 榮光と 譽れと 不滅のものとを 求める 者には， 永遠のいのちを 與え，
- 黨派心を 持ち， 眞理に 從わないで 不義に 從う 者には， 怒りと 憤りを 下されるのです．
- 患難と 苦惱とは， ユダヤ 人をはじめ ギリシヤ 人にも， 惡を 行なうすべての 者の 上に 下り，
- 榮光と 譽れと 平和は， ユダヤ 人をはじめ ギリシヤ 人にも， 善を 行なうすべての 者の 上にあります．

- Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
- To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
- But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
- Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
- But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:

- 神にはえこひいきなどはないからです．
- 律法なしに 罪を 犯した 者はすべて， 律法なしに 滅び， 律法の 下にあって 罪を 犯した 者はすべて， 律法によってさばかれます．
- それは， 律法を 聞く 者が 神の 前に 正しいのではなく， 律法を 行なう 者が 正しいと 認められるからです．
- ··律法を 持たない 異邦人が， 生まれつきのままで 律法の 命じる 行ないをするばあいは， 律法を 持たなくても， 自分自身が 自分に 對する 律法なのです．
- 彼らはこのようにして， 律法の 命じる 行ないが 彼らの 心に 書かれていることを 示しています． 彼らの 良心もいっしょになってあかしし， また， 彼らの 思いは 互いに 責め 合ったり， また， 弁明し 合ったりしています． ··

- For there is no respect of persons with God.
- For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
- (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
- For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
- Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)
