	로마서 3:9-3:31 바울은 모든 인간은 하나님 앞에 죄인임을 밝히면서, 죄인된 인간이 구원받을 수 있는 길은 오직 예수 그리스도를 믿는 믿음뿐이라고 강조하였다.

	전인류의 죄(3:9-3:18)

では，どうなのでしょう．私たちは他の者にまさっているのでしょうか．決してそうではありません．私たちは前に，ユダヤ人もギリシヤ人も，すべての人が罪の下にあると責めたのです．

それは，次のように書いてあるとおりです．「義人はいない．ひとりもいない．

悟りのある人はいない．神を求める人はいない．

すべての人が迷い出て，みな，ともに無益な者となった．善を行なう人はいない．ひとりもいない．」

「彼らののどは，開いた墓であり，彼らはその舌で欺く．」「彼らのくちびるの下には，まむしの毒があり，」

What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:

「彼らの口は，のろいと苦さで滿ちている．」

「彼らの足は血を流すのに速く，

彼らの道には破壞と悲慘がある．

また，彼らは平和の道を知らない．」

「彼らの目の前には，神に對する恐れがない．」

Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:

Their feet are swift to shed blood:

Destruction and misery are in their ways:

And the way of peace have they not known:

There is no fear of God before their eyes.

	믿음으로 의롭게 됨(3:19-3:31)

さて，私たちは，律法の言うことはみな，律法の下にある人¿に對して言われていることを知っています．それは，すべての口がふさがれて，全世界が神のさばきに服するためです．

なぜなら，律法を行なうことによっては，だれひとり神の前に義と認められないからです．律法によっては，かえって罪の意識が生じるのです．

しかし，今は，律法とは別に，しかも律法と預言者によってあかしされて，神の義が示されました．

すなわち，イエス · キリストを信じる信仰による神の義であって，それはすべての信じる人に與えられ，何の差別もありません．

すべての人は，罪を犯したので，神からの榮譽を受けることができず，

Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

ただ，神の惠みにより，キリスト · イエスによる ·いのゆえに，價なしに義と認められるのです．

神は，キリスト · イエスを，その血による，また信仰による，なだめの供え物として，公にお示しになりました．それは，ご自身の義を現わすためです．というのは，今までに犯されて來た罪を神の忍耐をもって見のがして來られたからです．

それは，今の時にご自身の義を現わすためであり，こうして神ご自身が義であり，また，イエスを信じる者を義とお認めになるためなのです．

それでは，私たちの誇りはどこにあるのでしょうか．それはすでに取り除かれました．どういう原理によってでしょうか．行ないの原理によってでしょうか．そうではなく，信仰の原理によってです．

人が義と認められるのは，律法の行ないによるのではなく，信仰によるというのが，私たちの考えです．

Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

それとも，神はユダヤ人だけの神でしょうか．異邦人にとっても神ではないのでしょうか．確かに神は，異邦人にとっても，神です．

神が唯一ならばそうです．この神は，割禮のある者を信仰によって義と認めてくださるとともに，割禮のない者をも，信仰によって義と認めてくださるのです．

それでは，私たちは信仰によって律法を無效にすることになるのでしょうか．絶對にそんなことはありません．かえって，律法を確立することになるのです．

Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:

Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.

Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
