- 主は 川を 荒野に， 水のわき 上がる 所を 潤いのない 地に，
- 肥沃な 地を 不毛の 地に 變えられる． その 住民の 惡のために．
- 主は 荒野を 水のある 澤に， 砂漠の 地を 水のわき 上がる 所に 變え，
- そこに 飢えた 者を 住まわせる． 彼らは 住むべき 町を 堅く 建て，
- 畑に 種を 蒔き， ぶどう 畑を 作り， 豊かな 實りを 得る．

- He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground;
- A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
- He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into watersprings.
- And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation;
- And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.

- 主が 祝福されると， 彼らは 大いにふえ， 主はその 家畜を 減らされない．
- 彼らが， しいたげとわざわいと 悲しみによって， 數が 減り， またうなだれるとき，
- 主は 君主たちをさげすみ， 道なき 荒れ 地に 彼らをさまよわせる．
- しかし， 貧しい 者を 惱みから 高く 上げ， その 一族を 羊の 群れのようにされる．
- 直ぐな 人はそれを 見て 喜び， 不正な 者はすべてその 口を 閉じる．

- He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.
- Again, they are minished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow.
- He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way.
- Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh him families like a flock.
- The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.

- 知惠のある 者はだれか． その 者はこれらのことに 心を 留め， 主の 惠みを 悟れ．
|
- Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.
