- もしある 人が 悲しみのもとになったとすれば， その 人は， 私を 悲しませたというよりも， ある 程度 ··というのは 言い 過ぎにならないためですが， ··あなたがた 全部を 悲しませたのです．
- その 人にとっては， すでに 多數の 人から 受けたあの 處罰で 十分ですから，
- あなたがたは， むしろ， その 人を 赦し， 慰めてあげなさい． そうしないと， その 人はあまりにも 深い 悲しみに 押しつぶされてしまうかもしれません．
- そこで 私は， その 人に 對する 愛を 確認することを， あなたがたに 勸めます．
- 私が 手紙を 書いたのは， あなたがたがすべてのことにおいて 從順であるかどうかをためすためであったのです．

- But if any have caused grief, he hath not grieved me, but in part: that I may not overcharge you all.
- Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was inflicted of many.
- So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow.

- これは， 私たちが サタン に 欺かれないためです． 私たちは サタン の 策略を 知らないわけではありません．
- 私が， キリスト の 福音のために トロアス に 行ったとき， 主は 私のために 門を 開いてくださいましたが，
- 兄弟 テトス に 會えなかったので， 心に 安らぎがなく， そこの 人¿に 別れを 告げて， マケドニヤ へ 向かいました．
- しかし， 神に 感謝します． 神はいつでも， 私たちを 導いて キリスト による 勝利の 行列に 加え， 至る 所で 私たちを 通して， キリスト を 知る 知識のかおりを 放ってくださいます．

- 私たちは， 救われる 人¿の 中でも， 滅びる 人¿の 中でも， 神の 前にかぐわしい キリスト のかおりなのです．
- ある 人たちにとっては， 死から 出て 死に 至らせるかおりであり， ある 人たちにとっては， いのちから 出ていのちに 至らせるかおりです． このような 務めにふさわしい 者は， いったいだれでしょう．
- 私たちは， 多くの 人のように， 神のことばに 混ぜ 物をして 賣るようなことはせず， 眞心から， また 神によって， 神の 御前で キリスト にあって 語るのです．

- For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:
- To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?
- For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.
