	욥기 34:1-36:33 엘리후는 의롭다고 주장하는 욥을 악인에 비유하면서, 욥이 하나님을 거역하는 말을 많이 한다고 하였다. 그리고 하나님의 공의와 공평하심을 들어 욥을 비난하면서, 고난 가운데서 하나님께 불평하지 말라고 권고하였다.

	엘리후의 변론(34:1-36:33)

エリフは續けて言った．

知惠のある人¿よ．私の言い分を聞け．知識のある人¿よ．私に耳を傾けよ．

口が食物の味を知るように，耳はことばを聞き分ける．

さあ，私たちは一つの定めを選び取り，私たちの間で何が良いことであるかを見分けよう．

ヨブはかつてこう言った．「私は正しい．神が私の正義を取り去った．

Furthermore Elihu answered and said,

Hear my words, O ye wise men; and give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge.

For the ear trieth words, as the mouth tasteth meat.

Let us choose to us judgment: let us know among ourselves what is good.

For Job hath said, I am righteous: and God hath taken away my judgment.

私は自分の正義に反して，まやかしを言えようか．私はそむきの罪を犯していないが，私の矢傷は直らない．」

ヨブのような人がほかにあろうか．彼はあざけりを水のようにのみ，

不法を行なう者どもとよく交わり，惡人たちとともに步んだ．

彼は言った．「神と親しんでも，それは人の役に立たない．」

だから，あなたがた分別のある人¿よ．私に聞け．神が惡を行なうなど，全能者が不正をするなど，絶對にそういうことはない．

Should I lie against my right? my wound is incurable without transgression.

What man is like Job, who drinketh up scorning like water?

Which goeth in company with the workers of iniquity, and walketh with wicked men.

For he hath said, It profiteth a man nothing that he should delight himself with God.

Therefore hearken unto me ye men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.

神は，人の行ないをその身に報い，人に，それぞれ自分の道を見つけるようにされる．

神は決して惡を行なわない．全能者は公義を曲げない．

だれが，この地を神にゆだねたのか．だれが，全世界を神に任せたのか．

もし，神がご自分だけに心を留め，その靈と息をご自分に集められたら，

すべての肉なるものは共に息絶え，人はちりに歸る．

For the work of a man shall he render unto him, and cause every man to find according to his ways.

Yea, surely God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert judgment.

Who hath given him a charge over the earth? or who hath disposed the whole world?

If he set his heart upon man, if he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath;

All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust.

あなたに悟りがあるなら，これを聞け．私の話す聲に耳を傾けよ．

いったい，公義を憎む者が治めることができようか．正しく力ある方を，あなたは罪に定めることができようか．

人が王に向かって，「よこしまな者．」と言い，高貴な人に向かって，「惡者．」と言えるだろうか．

この方は首長たちを，えこひいきせず，貧民よりも上流の人を重んじることはない．なぜなら，彼らはみな，神の御手のわざだから．

彼らはまたたくまに，それも眞夜中に死に，民は震えて過ぎ去る．强い者たちも人の手によらないで取り去られる．

If now thou hast understanding, hear this: hearken to the voice of my words.

Shall even he that hateth right govern? and wilt thou condemn him that is most just?

Is it fit to say to a king, Thou art wicked? and to princes, Ye are ungodly?

How much less to him that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands.

In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight, and pass away: and the mighty shall be taken away without hand.

神の御目が人の道の上にあり，その步みをすべて見ているからだ．

不法を行なう者どもが身を隱せるような，やみもなく，暗黑もない．

人がさばきのときに神のみもとに出るのに，神は人について，そのほか何も定めておられないからだ．

神は力ある者を取り調べることなく打ち滅ぼし，これに代えて他の者を立てられる．

神は彼らのしたことを知っておられるので，夜，彼らをくつがえされる．こうして彼らは ¿かれる．

For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings.

There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.

For he will not lay upon man more than right; that he should enter into judgment with God.

He shall break in pieces mighty men without number, and set others in their stead.

Therefore he knoweth their works, and he overturneth them in the night, so that they are destroyed.

神は，人¿の見ているところで，彼らを，惡者として打たれる．

それは，彼らが神にそむいて從わず，神のすべての道に心を留めなかったからである．

こうして彼らは寄るべのない者の叫びを神の耳に入れるようにし，神は惱める者の叫びを聞き入れられる．

神が默っておられるとき，だれが神をとがめえよう．神が御顔を隱されるとき，だれが神を認めえよう．一つの國民にも，ひとりの人にも同樣だ．

神を敬わない人間が治めないために，民をわなにかける者がいなくなるために．

He striketh them as wicked men in the open sight of others;

Because they turned back from him, and would not consider any of his ways:

So that they cause the cry of the poor to come unto him, and he heareth the cry of the afflicted.

When he giveth quietness, who then can make trouble? and when he hideth his face, who then can behold him? whether it be done against a nation, or against a man only:

That the hypocrite reign not, lest the people be ensnared.

神に向かってだれが言ったのか．「私は懲らしめを受けました．私はもう罪を犯しません．

私の見ないことをあなたが私に敎えてください．私が不正をしたのでしたら，もういたしません．」と．

あなたが反對するからといって，神はあなたの願うとおりに報復なさるだろうか．私ではなく，あなたが選ぶがよい．あなたの知っていることを言うがよい．

分別のある人¿や，私に聞く，知惠のある人は私に言う．

「ヨブは知識がなくて語る．彼のことばには思慮がない．」と．

Surely it is meet to be said unto God, I have borne chastisement, I will not offend any more:

That which I see not teach thou me: if I have done iniquity, I will do no more.

Should it be according to thy mind? he will recompense it, whether thou refuse, or whether thou choose; and not I: therefore speak what thou knowest.

Let men of understanding tell me, and let a wise man hearken unto me.

Job hath spoken without knowledge, and his words were without wisdom.

どうか，ヨブが最後までためされるように．彼は不法者のように言い返しをするから．

彼は，自分の罪にそむきの罪を加え，私たちの間で手を打ち鳴らし，神に對してことば數を多くする．

My desire is that Job may be tried unto the end because of his answers for wicked men.

For he addeth rebellion unto his sin, he clappeth his hands among us, and multiplieth his words against God.

エリフはさらに續けて言った．

あなたはこのことを正義によると思うのか．「私の義は神からだ．」とでも言うのか．

あなたは言っている．「何があなたの役に立つのでしょうか．私が罪を犯さないと，どんな利益がありましょうか．」と．

Elihu spake moreover, and said,

Thinkest thou this to be right, that thou saidst, My righteousness is more than God's?

For thou saidst, What advantage will it be unto thee? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?

I will answer thee, and thy companions with thee.

Look unto the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds which are higher than thou.

あなたが罪を犯しても，神に對して何ができよう．あなたのそむきの罪が多くても，あなたは神に何をなしえようか．

あなたが正しくても，あなたは神に何を與ええようか．神は，あなたの手から何を受けられるだろうか．

あなたの惡は，ただ，あなたのような人間に，あなたの正しさは，ただ，人の子に，かかわりを持つだけだ．

人¿は，多くのしいたげのために泣き叫び，力ある者の腕のために助けを叫び求める．

しかし，だれも問わない．「私の造り主である神はどこにおられるか．夜には，ほめ歌を與え，

If thou sinnest, what doest thou against him? or if thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto him?

If thou be righteous, what givest thou him? or what receiveth he of thine hand?

Thy wickedness may hurt a man as thou art; and thy righteousness may profit the son of man.

By reason of the multitude of oppressions they make the oppressed to cry: they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty.

But none saith, Where is God my maker, who giveth songs in the night;

地の ¿よりも，むしろ，私たちに敎え，空の鳥よりも，むしろ，私たちに知惠を授けてくださる方は．」と．

そこでは，彼らが泣き叫んでも答えはない．惡人がおごり高ぶっているからだ．

神は決してむなしい叫びを聞き入れず，全能者はこれに心を留めない．

Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven?

There they cry, but none giveth answer, because of the pride of evil men.

Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.

Although thou sayest thou shalt not see him, yet judgment is before him; therefore trust thou in him.

But now, because it is not so, he hath visited in his anger; yet he knoweth it not in great extremity:

ヨブはいたずらに口を大きく開き，知識もなく，自分の言い分を述べたてる．

Therefore doth Job open his mouth in vain; he multiplieth words without knowledge.

エリフはさらに續けて言った．

しばらく待て．あなたに示そう．まだ，神のために言い分があるからだ．

私は遠くから私の意見を持って來て，私の造り主に義を返そう．

確かに私の言い分は僞りではない．完全な知識を持つ方があなたのそばにいるからだ．

見よ．神は强い．だが，だれをもさげすまない．その理解の力は强い．

Elihu also proceeded, and said,

Suffer me a little, and I will shew thee that I have yet to speak on God's behalf.

I will fetch my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.

For truly my words shall not be false: he that is perfect in knowledge is with thee.

Behold, God is mighty, and despiseth not any: he is mighty in strength and wisdom.

神は惡者を生かしてはおかず，しいたげられている者には權利を與えられる．

神は，正しい者から目を離さず，彼らを王たちとともに王座に着け，永遠に座に着かせて，高められる．

もし，彼らが鎖で縛られ，惱みのなわに捕えられると，

そのとき，神は，彼らのしたことを彼らに告げ，彼らがおごり高ぶったそむきの罪を告げる．

神は彼らの耳を開いて戒め，惡から立ち返るように命じる．

He preserveth not the life of the wicked: but giveth right to the poor.

He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: but with kings are they on the throne; yea, he doth establish them for ever, and they are exalted.

And if they be bound in fetters, and be holden in cords of affliction;

Then he sheweth them their work, and their transgressions that they have exceeded.

He openeth also their ear to discipline, and commandeth that they return from iniquity.

もし彼らが聞き入れて仕えるなら，彼らはその日¿をしあわせのうちに全うし，その年¿を樂しく過ごす．

しかし，もし聞き入れなければ，彼らは槍によって滅び，知識を持たないで息絶える．

心で神を敬わない者は，怒りをたくわえ，神が彼らを縛るとき，彼らは助けを求めて叫ばない．

彼らのたましいは若くして死に，そのいのちは腐れている．

神は惱んでいる者をその惱みの中で助け出し，そのしいたげの中で彼らの耳を開かれる．

If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.

But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge.

But the hypocrites in heart heap up wrath: they cry not when he bindeth them.

They die in youth, and their life is among the unclean.

He delivereth the poor in his affliction, and openeth their ears in oppression.

まことに，神はあなたを苦しみの中から誘い出し，束縛のない廣い所に導き，あなたの食卓には，あぶらぎった食物が備えられる．

しかし，あなたには惡者の受けるさばきが滿ちている．それでさばきと公義があなたをつかまえる．

だから，あなたは憤って，懲らしめに誘い ¿まれないようにせよ．身代金が多いからといって，あなたはそれに惑わされないようにせよ．

あなたの叫びが ¿べたてられても，力の限りが盡くされても，それが役に立つだろうか．

國¿の民が取り去られる夜をあえぎ求めてはならない．

Even so would he have removed thee out of the strait into a broad place, where there is no straitness; and that which should be set on thy table should be full of fatness.

But thou hast fulfilled the judgment of the wicked: judgment and justice take hold on thee.

Because there is wrath, beware lest he take thee away with his stroke: then a great ransom cannot deliver thee.

Will he esteem thy riches? no, not gold, nor all the forces of strength.

Desire not the night, when people are cut off in their place.

惡に向かわないように注意せよ．あなたは惱みよりも，これを選んだのだから．

見よ．神は力にすぐれておられる．神のような敎師が，だれかいようか．

だれが，神にその道を指圖したのか．だれが，「あなたは不正をした．」と言ったのか．

人¿がほめ歌った神のみわざを覺えて贊美せよ．

すべての人がこれを見，人が遠くからこれをながめる．

Take heed, regard not iniquity: for this hast thou chosen rather than affliction.

Behold, God exalteth by his power: who teacheth like him?

Who hath enjoined him his way? or who can say, Thou hast wrought iniquity?

Remember that thou magnify his work, which men behold.

Every man may see it; man may behold it afar off.

見よ．神はいと高く，私たちには知ることができない．その年の數も測り知ることができない．

神は水のしずくを引き上げ，それが神の霧となって雨をしたたらせる．

雨雲がこれを降らせ，人の上に豊かに注ぐ．

いったい，だれが雲の廣がりと，その幕屋のとどろきとを悟りえよう．

見よ．神はご自分の光をその上にまき散らし，また，海の底をおおう．

Behold, God is great, and we know him not, neither can the number of his years be searched out.

For he maketh small the drops of water: they pour down rain according to the vapour thereof:

Which the clouds do drop and distil upon man abundantly.

Also can any understand the spreadings of the clouds, or the noise of his tabernacle?

Behold, he spreadeth his light upon it, and covereth the bottom of the sea.

神はこれらによって民をさばき，食物を豊かに與える．

神はいなずまを兩手に包み，これに命じて的を打たせる．

その雷鳴は，神について告げ，家畜もまた，その起こることを告げる．

For by them judgeth he the people; he giveth meat in abundance.

With clouds he covereth the light; and commandeth it not to shine by the cloud that cometh betwixt.

The noise thereof sheweth concerning it, the cattle also concerning the vapour.
