- ですから， 聖靈が 言われるとおりです． 「きょう， もし 御聲を 聞くならば，
- 荒野での 試みの 日に 御怒りを 引き 起こしたときのように， 心をかたくなにしてはならない．
- あなたがたの 先祖たちは， そこでわたしを 試みて 證據を 求め， 四十年の 間， わたしのわざを 見た．
- だから， わたしはその 時代を 憤って 言った． 彼らは 常に 心が 迷い， わたしの 道を 悟らなかった．
- わたしは， 怒りをもって 誓ったように， 決して 彼らをわたしの 安息にはいらせない． 」

- Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,
- Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
- When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.
- Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
- So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)

- 兄弟たち． あなたがたの 中では， だれも 惡い 不信仰の 心になって 生ける 神から 離れる 者がないように 氣をつけなさい．
- 「きょう． 」と 言われている 間に， 日¿互いに 勵まし 合って， だれも 罪に 惑わされてかたくなにならないようにしなさい．
- もし 最初の 確信を 終わりまでしっかり 保ちさえすれば， 私たちは， キリスト にあずかる 者となるのです．
- 「きょう， もし 御聲を 聞くならば， 御怒りを 引き 起こしたときのように， 心をかたくなにしてはならない． 」と 言われているからです．
- 聞いていながら， 御怒りを 引き 起こしたのはだれでしたか． モ ― セ に 率いられて エジプト を 出た 人¿の 全部ではありませんか．

- Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
- But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
- For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
- While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
- For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.

- 神は 四十年の 間だれを 怒っておられたのですか． 罪を 犯した 人¿， しかばねを 荒野にさらした， あの 人たちをではありませんか．
- また， わたしの 安息にはいらせないと 神が 誓われたのは， ほかでもない， 從おうとしなかった 人たちのことではありませんか．
- それゆえ， 彼らが 安息にはいれなかったのは， 不信仰のためであったことがわかります．

- But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?
- And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
- So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
