- 小さい 者たちよ． 今は 終わりの 時です． あなたがたが 反 キリスト の 來ることを 聞いていたとおり， 今や 多くの 反 キリスト が 現われています． それによって， 今が 終わりの 時であることがわかります．
- 彼らは 私たちの 中から 出て 行きましたが， もともと 私たちの 仲間ではなかったのです． もし 私たちの 仲間であったのなら， 私たちといっしょにとどまっていたことでしょう． しかし， そうなったのは， 彼らがみな 私たちの 仲間でなかったことが 明らかにされるためなのです．
- あなたがたには 聖なる 方からの 注ぎの 油があるので， だれでも 知識を 持っています．
- このように 書いて 來たのは， あなたがたが 眞理を 知らないからではなく， 眞理を 知っているからであり， また， 僞りはすべて 眞理から 出てはいないからです．
- 僞り 者とは， イエス が キリスト であることを 否定する 者でなくてだれでしょう． 御父と 御子を 否認する 者， それが 反 キリスト です．

- Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
- They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
- But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.
- I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
- Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

- だれでも 御子を 否認する 者は， 御父を 持たず， 御子を 告白する 者は， 御父をも 持っているのです．
- あなたがたは， 初めから 聞いたことを， 自分たちのうちにとどまらせなさい． もし 初めから 聞いたことがとどまっているなら， あなたがたも 御子および 御父のうちにとどまるのです．
- それが キリスト ご 自身の 私たちにお 與えになった 約束であって， 永遠のいのちです．
- 私は， あなたがたを 惑わそうとする 人たちについて 以上のことを 書いて 來ました．
- あなたがたのばあいは， キリスト から 受けた 注ぎの 油があなたがたのうちにとどまっています． それで， だれからも 敎えを 受ける 必要がありません． 彼の 油がすべてのことについてあなたがたを 敎えるように， ··その 敎えは 眞理であって 僞りではありません． ··また， その 油があなたがたに 敎えたとおりに， あなたがたは キリスト のうちにとどまるのです．

- Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
- Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
- And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.
- These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.
- But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

- もしあなたがたが， 神は 正しい 方であると 知っているなら， 義を 行なう 者がみな 神から 生まれたこともわかるはずです．
