- 貧しくても， 誠實に 步む 者は， 富んでいても， 曲がった 道を 步む 者にまさる．
- おしえを 守る 者は 分別のある 子， 放蕩者と 交わる 者は， その 父に 恥ずかしい 思いをさせる．
- 利息や 高利によって 財産をふやす 者は， 寄る ベ のない 者たちに 惠む 者のためにそれをたくわえる．
- 耳をそむけて 敎えを 聞かない 者は， その 者の 祈りさえ 忌みきらわれる．

- Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich.
- Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son: but he that is a companion of riotous men shameth his father.
- He that by usury and unjust gain increaseth his substance, he shall gather it for him that will pity the poor.
- He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.
