- 幸いなことよ． 惡者のはかりごとに 步まず， 罪人の 道に 立たず， あざける 者の 座に 着かなかった， その 人．
- まことに， その 人は 主のおしえを 喜びとし， ¿も 夜もそのおしえを 口ずさむ．
- その 人は， 水路のそばに 植わった 木のようだ． 時が 來ると 實がなり， その 葉は 枯れない． その 人は， 何をしても 榮える．
- 惡者は， それとは 違い， まさしく， 風が 吹き 飛ばすもみがらのようだ．
- それゆえ， 惡者は， さばきの 中に 立ちおおせず， 罪人は， 正しい 者のつどいに 立てない．

- How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!
- But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night.
- He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.
- The wicked are not so, But they are like chaff which the wind drives away.
- Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
