- そのころ， イエス は， 安息日に 麥畑を 通られた． 弟子たちはひもじくなったので， 穗を 摘んで 食べ 始めた．
- すると， パリサイ 人たちがそれを 見つけて， イエス に 言った． 「ご 覽なさい． あなたの 弟子たちが， 安息日にしてはならないことをしています． 」
- しかし， イエス は 言われた． 「ダビデ とその 連れの 者たちが， ひもじかったときに， ダビデ が 何をしたか， 讀まなかったのですか．
- 神の 家にはいって， 祭司のほかは 自分も 供の 者たちも 食べてはならない 供えの パン を 食べました．
- また， 安息日に 宮にいる 祭司たちは 安息日の 神聖を 冒しても 罪にならないということを， 律法で 讀んだことはないのですか．

- At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath, and His disciples became hungry and began to pick the heads of grain and eat.
- But when the Pharisees saw this, they said to Him, "Look, Your disciples do what is not lawful to do on a Sabbath."
- But He said to them, "Have you not read what David did when he became hungry, he and his companions,
- how he entered the house of God, and they ate the consecrated bread, which was not lawful for him to eat nor for those with him, but for the priests alone?
- "Or have you not read in the Law, that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple break the Sabbath and are innocent?

- あなたがたに 言いますが， ここに 宮より 大きな 者がいるのです．
- 『わたしはあわれみは 好むが， いけにえは 好まない． 』ということがどういう 意味かを 知っていたら， あなたがたは， 罪のない 者たちを 罪に 定めはしなかったでしょう．
- 人の 子は 安息日の 主です． 」
- イエス はそこを 去って， 會堂にはいられた．
- そこに 片手のなえた 人がいた． そこで， 彼らは イエス に 質問して， 「安息日にいやすことは 正しいことでしょうか． 」と 言った． これは イエス を 訴えるためであった．

- "But I say to you that something greater than the temple is here.
- "But if you had known what this means, 'I DESIRE COMPASSION, AND NOT A SACRIFICE,' you would not have condemned the innocent.
- "For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath."
- Departing from there, He went into their synagogue.
- And a man was there whose hand was withered. And they questioned Jesus, asking, "Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?"--so that they might accuse Him.

- イエス は 彼らに 言われた． 「あなたがたのうち， だれかが 一匹の 羊を 持っていて， もしその 羊が 安息日に 穴に 落ちたら， それを 引き 上げてやらないでしょうか．
- 人間は 羊より， はるかに 値うちのあるものでしょう． それなら， 安息日に 良いことをすることは， 正しいのです． 」
- それから， イエス はその 人に， 「手を 伸ばしなさい． 」と 言われた． 彼が 手を 伸ばすと， 手は 直って， もう 一方の 手と 同じようになった．
- パリサイ 人は 出て 行って， どのようにして イエス を 滅ぼそうかと 相談した．
- イエス はそれを 知って， そこを 立ち 去られた． すると 多くの 人がついて 來たので， 彼らをみないやし，

- And He said to them, "What man is there among you who has a sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will he not take hold of it and lift it out?
- "How much more valuable then is a man than a sheep! So then, it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath."
- Then He said to the man, "Stretch out your hand!" He stretched it out, and it was restored to normal, like the other.
- But the Pharisees went out and conspired against Him, as to how they might destroy Him.
- But Jesus, aware of this, withdrew from there. Many followed Him, and He healed them all,

- そして， ご 自分のことを 人¿に 知らせないようにと， 彼らを 戒められた．
- これは， 預言者 イザヤ を 通して 言われた 事が 成就するためであった．
- 「これぞ， わたしの 選んだわたしのしもべ， わたしの 心の 喜ぶわたしの 愛する 者． わたしは 彼の 上にわたしの 靈を 置き， 彼は 異邦人に 公義を 宣べる．
- 爭うこともなく， 叫ぶこともせず， 大路でその 聲を 聞く 者もない．
- 彼はいたんだ 葦を 折ることもなく， くすぶる 燈心を 消すこともない， 公義を 勝利に 導くまでは．

- and warned them not to tell who He was.
- This was to fulfill what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet:
- "BEHOLD, MY SERVANT WHOM I HAVE CHOSEN; MY BELOVED IN WHOM MY SOUL is WELL-PLEASED; I WILL PUT MY SPIRIT UPON HIM, AND HE SHALL PROCLAIM JUSTICE TO THE GENTILES.
- "HE WILL NOT QUARREL, NOR CRY OUT; NOR WILL ANYONE HEAR HIS VOICE IN THE STREETS.
- "A BATTERED REED HE WILL NOT BREAK OFF, AND A SMOLDERING WICK HE WILL NOT PUT OUT, UNTIL HE LEADS JUSTICE TO VICTORY.

- 異邦人は 彼の 名に 望みをかける． 」

- "AND IN HIS NAME THE GENTILES WILL HOPE."
