- イエス はこの 話を 終えると， ガリラヤ を 去って， ヨルダン の 向こうにある ユダヤ 地方に 行かれた．
- すると， 大ぜいの 群衆がついて 來たので， そこで 彼らをおいやしになった．
- パリサイ 人たちがみもとにやって 來て， イエス を 試みて， こう 言った． 「何か 理由があれば， 妻を 離別することは 律法にかなっているでしょうか． 」
- イエス は 答えて 言われた． 「創造者は， 初めから 人を 男と 女に 造って，
- 『それゆえ， 人はその 父と 母を 離れて， その 妻と 結ばれ， ふたりの 者が 一心同體になるのだ． 』と 言われたのです． それを， あなたがたは 讀んだことがないのですか．

- When Jesus had finished these words, He departed from Galilee and came into the region of Judea beyond the Jordan;
- and large crowds followed Him, and He healed them there.
- Some Pharisees came to Jesus, testing Him and asking, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any reason at all?"
- And He answered and said, "Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning MADE THEM MALE AND FEMALE,
- and said, 'FOR THIS REASON A MAN SHALL LEAVE HIS FATHER AND MOTHER AND BE JOINED TO HIS WIFE, AND THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH'?

- それで， もはやふたりではなく， ひとりなのです． こういうわけで， 人は， 神が 結び 合わせたものを 引き 離してはなりません． 」
- 彼らは イエス に 言った． 「では， モ ― セ はなぜ， 離婚狀を 渡して 妻を 離別せよ， と 命じたのですか． 」
- イエス は 彼らに 言われた． 「モ ― セ は， あなたがたの 心がかたくななので， その 妻を 離別することをあなたがたに 許したのです． しかし， 初めからそうだったのではありません．
- まことに， あなたがたに 告げます． だれでも， 不貞のためでなくて， その 妻を 離別し， 別の 女を 妻にする 者は 姦淫を 犯すのです． 」
- 弟子たちは イエス に 言った． 「もし 妻に 對する 夫の 立場がそんなものなら， 結婚しないほうがましです． 」

- "So they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate."
- They said to Him, "Why then did Moses command to GIVE HER A CERTIFICATE OF DIVORCE AND SEND her AWAY?"
- He said to them, "Because of your hardness of heart Moses permitted you to divorce your wives; but from the beginning it has not been this way.
- "And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery."
- The disciples said to Him, "If the relationship of the man with his wife is like this, it is better not to marry."

- しかし， イエス は 言われた． 「そのことばは， だれでも 受け 入れることができるわけではありません． ただ， それが 許されている 者だけができるのです．
- というのは， 母の 胎內から， そのように 生まれついた 獨身者がいます． また， 人から 獨身者にさせられた 者もいます． また， 天の 御國のために， 自分から 獨身者になった 者もいるからです． それができる 者はそれを 受け 入れなさい． 」
- そのとき， イエス に 手を 置いて 祈っていただくために， 子どもたちが 連れて 來られた． ところが， 弟子たちは 彼らをしかった．
- しかし， イエス は 言われた． 「子どもたちを 許してやりなさい． 邪魔をしないでわたしのところに 來させなさい． 天の 御國はこのような 者たちの 國なのです． 」
- そして， 手を 彼らの 上に 置いてから， そこを 去って 行かれた．

- But He said to them, "Not all men can accept this statement, but only those to whom it has been given.
- "For there are eunuchs who were born that way from their mother's womb; and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men; and there are also eunuchs who made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. He who is able to accept this, let him accept it."
- Then some children were brought to Him so that He might lay His hands on them and pray; and the disciples rebuked them.
- But Jesus said, "Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."
- After laying His hands on them, He departed from there.
