- こうして 彼らは 湖の 向こう 岸， ゲラサ 人の 地に 着いた．
- イエス が 舟から 上がられると， すぐに， 汚れた 靈につかれた 人が 墓場から 出て 來て， イエス を 迎えた．
- この 人は 墓場に 住みついており， もはやだれも， 鎖をもってしても， 彼をつないでおくことができなかった．
- 彼はたびたび 足かせや 鎖でつながれたが， 鎖を 引きちぎり， 足かせも ¿いてしまったからで， だれにも 彼を 押えるだけの 力がなかったのである．
- それで 彼は， 夜¿となく， 墓場や 山で 叫び 續け， 石で 自分のからだを 傷つけていた．

- They came to the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gerasenes.
- When He got out of the boat, immediately a man from the tombs with an unclean spirit met Him,
- and he had his dwelling among the tombs. And no one was able to bind him anymore, even with a chain;
- because he had often been bound with shackles and chains, and the chains had been torn apart by him and the shackles broken in pieces, and no one was strong enough to subdue him.
- Constantly, night and day, he was screaming among the tombs and in the mountains, and gashing himself with stones.

- 彼は イエス を 遠くから 見つけ， 驅け 寄って 來て イエス を 拜し，
- 大聲で 叫んで 言った． 「いと 高き 神の 子， イエス さま． いったい 私に 何をしようというのですか． 神の 御名によってお 願いします． どうか 私を 苦しめないでください． 」
- それは， イエス が， 「汚れた 靈よ． この 人から 出て 行け． 」と 言われたからである．
- それで， 「おまえの 名は 何か． 」とお 尋ねになると， 「私の 名は レギオン です． 私たちは 大ぜいですから． 」と 言った．
- そして， 自分たちをこの 地方から 追い 出さないでくださいと 懇願した．

- Seeing Jesus from a distance, he ran up and bowed down before Him;
- and shouting with a loud voice, he said, "What business do we have with each other, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God, do not torment me!"
- For He had been saying to him, "Come out of the man, you unclean spirit!"
- And He was asking him, "What is your name?" And he said to Him, "My name is Legion; for we are many."
- And he began to implore Him earnestly not to send them out of the country.

- ところで， そこの 山腹に， 豚の 大群が 飼ってあった．
- 彼らは イエス に 願って 言った． 「私たちを 豚の 中に 送って， 彼らに 乘り 移らせてください． 」
- イエス がそれを 許されたので， 汚れた 靈どもは 出て 行って， 豚に 乘り 移った． すると， 二千匹ほどの 豚の 群れが， 險しいがけを 驅け 降り， 湖へなだれ 落ちて， 湖におぼれてしまった．
- 豚を 飼っていた 者たちは 逃げ 出して， 町や 村¿でこの 事を 告げ 知らせた． 人¿は 何事が 起こったのかと 見にやって 來た．
- そして， イエス のところに 來て， 惡靈につかれていた 人， すなわち レギオン を 宿していた 人が， 着物を 着て， 正氣に 返ってすわっているのを 見て， 恐ろしくなった．

- Now there was a large herd of swine feeding nearby on the mountain.
- The demons implored Him, saying, "Send us into the swine so that we may enter them."
- Jesus gave them permission. And coming out, the unclean spirits entered the swine; and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea, about two thousand of them; and they were drowned in the sea.
- Their herdsmen ran away and reported it in the city and in the country. And the people came to see what it was that had happened.
- They came to Jesus and observed the man who had been demon-possessed sitting down, clothed and in his right mind, the very man who had had the "legion"; and they became frightened.

- 見ていた 人たちが， 惡靈につかれていた 人に 起こったことや， 豚のことを， つぶさに 彼らに 話して 聞かせた．
- すると， 彼らは イエス に， この 地方から 離れてくださるよう 願った．
- それで イエス が 舟に 乘ろうとされると， 惡靈につかれていた 人が， お 供をしたいと イエス に 願った．
- しかし， お 許しにならないで， 彼にこう 言われた． 「あなたの 家， あなたの 家族のところに 歸り， 主があなたに， どんなに 大きなことをしてくださったか， どんなにあわれんでくださったかを， 知らせなさい． 」
- そこで， 彼は 立ち 去り， イエス が 自分にどんなに 大きなことをしてくださったかを， デカポリス の 地方で 言い 廣め 始めた． 人¿はみな 驚いた．

- Those who had seen it described to them how it had happened to the demon-possessed man, and all about the swine.
- And they began to implore Him to leave their region.
- As He was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed was imploring Him that he might accompany Him.
- And He did not let him, but He said to him, "Go home to your people and report to them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He had mercy on you."
- And he went away and began to proclaim in Decapolis what great things Jesus had done for him; and everyone was amazed.

- イエス が 舟でまた 向こう 岸へ 渡られると， 大ぜいの 人の 群れがみもとに 集まった． イエス は 岸べにとどまっておられた．
- すると， 會堂管理者のひとりで ヤイロ という 者が 來て， イエス を 見て， その 足もとにひれ 伏し，
- いっしょうけんめい 願ってこう 言った． 「私の 小さい 娘が 死にかけています． どうか， おいでくださって， 娘の 上に 御手を 置いてやってください． 娘が 直って， 助かるようにしてください． 」
- そこで， イエス は 彼といっしょに 出かけられたが， 多くの 群衆が イエス について 來て， イエス に 押し 迫った．
- ところで， 十二年の 間長血をわずらっている 女がいた．

- When Jesus had crossed over again in the boat to the other side, a large crowd gathered around Him; and so He stayed by the seashore.
- One of the synagogue officials named Jairus came up, and on seeing Him, fell at His feet
- and implored Him earnestly, saying, "My little daughter is at the point of death; please come and lay Your hands on her, so that she will get well and live."
- And He went off with him; and a large crowd was following Him and pressing in on Him.
- A woman who had had a hemorrhage for twelve years,

- この 女は 多くの 醫者からひどいめに 會わされて， 自分の 持ち 物をみな 使い 果たしてしまったが， 何のかいもなく， かえって 惡くなる 一方であった．
- 彼女は， イエス のことを 耳にして， 群衆の 中に 紛れ ¿み， うしろから， イエス の 着物にさわった．
- 「お 着物にさわることでもできれば， きっと 直る． 」と 考えていたからである．
- すると， すぐに， 血の 源がかれて， ひどい 痛みが 直ったことを， からだに 感じた．
- イエス も， すぐに， 自分のうちから 力が 外に 出て 行ったことに 氣づいて， 群衆の 中を 振り 向いて， 「だれがわたしの 着物にさわったのですか． 」と 言われた．

- and had endured much at the hands of many physicians, and had spent all that she had and was not helped at all, but rather had grown worse--
- after hearing about Jesus, she came up in the crowd behind Him and touched His cloak.
- For she thought, "If I just touch His garments, I will get well."
- Immediately the flow of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of her affliction.
- Immediately Jesus, perceiving in Himself that the power proceeding from Him had gone forth, turned around in the crowd and said, "Who touched My garments?"

- そこで 弟子たちは イエス に 言った． 「群衆があなたに 押し 迫っているのをご 覽になっていて， それでも『だれがわたしにさわったのか． 』とおっしゃるのですか． 」
- イエス は， それをした 人を 知ろうとして， 見回しておられた．
- 女は 恐れおののき， 自分の 身に 起こった 事を 知り， イエス の 前に 出てひれ 伏し， イエス に 眞實を 余すところなく 打ち 明けた．
- そこで， イエス は 彼女にこう 言われた． 「娘よ． あなたの 信仰があなたを 直したのです． 安心して 歸りなさい． 病氣にかからず， すこやかでいなさい． 」

- And His disciples said to Him, "You see the crowd pressing in on You, and You say, 'Who touched Me?'"
- And He looked around to see the woman who had done this.
- But the woman fearing and trembling, aware of what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth.
- And He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace and be healed of your affliction."
