사사기

  본서는 여호수아 이후 왕정 수립 이전까지의 과도기적인 역사를 다루고 있으며, 하나님만이 이스라엘의 궁극적인 사사요, 구원자이심을 보여 주고 있다. 이스라엘은 군사적으로 가나안을 정복했지만, 가나안 문화와 종교의 영향으로 타락의 길로 들어서게 되었고 이에 대한 하나님의 징계로 이방 민족의 압제에 시달리는 혼란의 시기를 지냈다.

  본서는 사사 시대 이스라엘의 반복되는 역사적 상황을 묘사하고 있다. 이스라엘의 타락과 그로 말미암은 이방 국가로부터의 압제와 종살이, 이스라엘의 각성과 회개를 통해 하나님께서 사사를 세워 구원하시는 사건이 반복되고 있으며, 영적 타락으로 인한 이스라엘의 도덕적, 사회적 타락상을 기록함으로써 왕정의 필요성을 제기하고 있다.

 

 

사사기 1:1-2:23

 여호수아 사후, 미정복 지역을 정복하기 위해 유다 지파는 시므온과 연합하여 전쟁을 수행했고 여기서 옷니엘이 큰 활약을 했다. 나머지 지파들도 정복 활동에 나섰으나 대부분 실패하고 가나안 족속들과 타협하여 함께 살면서 그들의 우상을 섬겼다. 이러한 때에 하나님의 사자가 보김에 나타나 이스라엘의 불순종을 책망하며 그들이 쫓아내지 못한 자들로 말미암아 고통당하게 될 것이라고 경고하였다.
  
  계속되는 정복(1:1-1:36)    
 
  1. さて， ヨシュア の 死後， イスラエル 人は 主に 伺って 言った． 「だれが 私たちのために 最初に 上って 行って， カナン 人と 戰わなければならないでしょうか． 」
  2. すると， 主は 仰せられた． 「ユダ が 上って 行かなければならない． 見よ． わたしは， その 地を 彼の 手に 渡した． 」
  3. そこで， ユダ は 自分の 兄弟 シメオン に 言った． 「私に 割り 當てられた 地に 私といっしょに 上ってください． カナン 人と 戰うのです． 私も， あなたに 割り 當てられた 地にあなたといっしょに 行きます． 」そこで シメオン は 彼といっしょに 行った．
  4. ユダ が 上って 行ったとき， 主は カナン 人と ペリジ 人を 彼らの 手に 渡されたので， 彼らは ベゼク で 一万人を 打った．
  5. 彼らは ベゼク で アドニ · ベゼク に 出會ったとき， 彼と 戰って カナン 人と ペリジ 人を 打った．
  1. Now it came about after the death of Joshua that the sons of Israel inquired of the LORD, saying, "Who shall go up first for us against the Canaanites, to fight against them?"
  2. The LORD said, "Judah shall go up; behold, I have given the land into his hand."
  3. Then Judah said to Simeon his brother, "Come up with me into the territory allotted me, that we may fight against the Canaanites; and I in turn will go with you into the territory allotted you." So Simeon went with him.
  4. Judah went up, and the LORD gave the Canaanites and the Perizzites into their hands, and they defeated ten thousand men at Bezek.
  5. They found Adoni-bezek in Bezek and fought against him, and they defeated the Canaanites and the Perizzites.
  1. ところが， アドニ · ベゼク が 逃げたので， 彼らはあとを 追って 彼を 捕え， その 手足の 親指を 切り 取った．

  1. But Adoni-bezek fled; and they pursued him and caught him and cut off his thumbs and big toes.
  2. Adoni-bezek said, "Seventy kings with their thumbs and their big toes cut off used to gather up scraps under my table; as I have done, so God has repaid me." So they brought him to Jerusalem and he died there.
  3. Then the sons of Judah fought against Jerusalem and captured it and struck it with the edge of the sword and set the city on fire.
  4. Afterward the sons of Judah went down to fight against the Canaanites living in the hill country and in the Negev and in the lowland.
  5. So Judah went against the Canaanites who lived in Hebron (now the name of Hebron formerly was Kiriath-arba); and they struck Sheshai and Ahiman and Talmai.
  1. ユダ はそこから 進んで デビル の 住民を 攻めた． デビル の 名は 以前は キルヤテ · セフェル であった．
  2. そのとき カレブ は 言った． 「キルヤテ · セフェル を 打って， これを 取る 者には， 私の 娘 アクサ を 妻として 與えよう． 」
  3. ケナズ の 子で， カレブ の 弟 オテニエル がそれを 取ったので， カレブ は 娘 アクサ を 彼に 妻として 與えた．

  1. Then from there he went against the inhabitants of Debir (now the name of Debir formerly was Kiriath-sepher).
  2. And Caleb said, "The one who attacks Kiriath-sepher and captures it, I will even give him my daughter Achsah for a wife."
  3. Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother, captured it; so he gave him his daughter Achsah for a wife.
  4. Then it came about when she came to him, that she persuaded him to ask her father for a field. Then she alighted from her donkey, and Caleb said to her, "What do you want?"
  5. She said to him, "Give me a blessing, since you have given me the land of the Negev, give me also springs of water." So Caleb gave her the upper springs and the lower springs.
  1. モ ― セ の 義兄弟である ケニ 人の 子孫は， ユダ 族といっしょに， なつめやしの 町から アラデ の 南にある ユダ の 荒野に 上って 行って， 民とともに 住んだ．
  2. ユダ は 兄弟 シメオン といっしょに 行って， ツェファテ に 住んでいた カナン 人を 打ち， それを 聖絶し， その 町に ホルマ という 名をつけた．
  3. ついで， ユダ は ガザ とその 地域， アシュケロン とその 地域， エクロン とその 地域を 攻め 取った．

  1. The descendants of the Kenite, Moses' father-in-law, went up from the city of palms with the sons of Judah, to the wilderness of Judah which is in the south of Arad; and they went and lived with the people.
  2. Then Judah went with Simeon his brother, and they struck the Canaanites living in Zephath, and utterly destroyed it. So the name of the city was called Hormah.
  3. And Judah took Gaza with its territory and Ashkelon with its territory and Ekron with its territory.
  4. Now the LORD was with Judah, and they took possession of the hill country; but they could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley because they had iron chariots.
  5. Then they gave Hebron to Caleb, as Moses had promised; and he drove out from there the three sons of Anak.
  1. ベニヤミン 族は エルサレム に 住んでいた エブス 人を 追い 拂わなかったので， エブス 人は 今日まで ベニヤミン 族といっしょに エルサレム に 住んでいる．
  2. ヨセフ の 一族もまた， ベテル に 上って 行った． 主は 彼らとともにおられた．

  5. 彼が 町の 出入口を 敎えたので， 彼らは 劍の 刃でこの 町を 打った． しかし， その 者とその 氏族の 者全部は 自由にしてやった．
  1. But the sons of Benjamin did not drive out the Jebusites who lived in Jerusalem; so the Jebusites have lived with the sons of Benjamin in Jerusalem to this day.
  2. Likewise the house of Joseph went up against Bethel, and the LORD was with them.
  3. The house of Joseph spied out Bethel (now the name of the city was formerly Luz).
  4. The spies saw a man coming out of the city and they said to him, "Please show us the entrance to the city and we will treat you kindly."
  5. So he showed them the entrance to the city, and they struck the city with the edge of the sword, but they let the man and all his family go free.
  1. そこで， その 者は ヘテ 人の 地に 行って， 一つの 町を 建て， その 名を ルズ と 呼んだ． これが 今日までその 名である．
  2. マナセ は ベテ · シェアン とそれに 屬する 村落， タナク とそれに 屬する 村落， ドル の 住民とそれに 屬する 村落， イブレアム の 住民とそれに 屬する 村落， メギド の 住民とそれに 屬する 村落は 占領しなかった． それで， カナン 人はその 土地に 住みとおした．
  3. イスラエル は， 强くなってから， カナン 人を 苦役に 服させたが， 彼らを 追い 拂ってしまうことはなかった．

  1. The man went into the land of the Hittites and built a city and named it Luz which is its name to this day.
  2. But Manasseh did not take possession of Beth-shean and its villages, or Taanach and its villages, or the inhabitants of Dor and its villages, or the inhabitants of Ibleam and its villages, or the inhabitants of Megiddo and its villages; so the Canaanites persisted in living in that land.
  3. It came about when Israel became strong, that they put the Canaanites to forced labor, but they did not drive them out completely.
  4. Ephraim did not drive out the Canaanites who were living in Gezer; so the Canaanites lived in Gezer among them.
  5. Zebulun did not drive out the inhabitants of Kitron, or the inhabitants of Nahalol; so the Canaanites lived among them and became subject to forced labor.
  1. アシェル は アコ の 住民や， シドン の 住民や， また マハレブ ， アクジブ ， ヘルバ ， アフェク ， レホブ の 住民を 追い 拂わなかった．
  2. そして， アシェル 人は， その 土地に 住む カナン 人の 中に 住みついた． 彼らを 追い 拂わなかったからである．

  1. Asher did not drive out the inhabitants of Acco, or the inhabitants of Sidon, or of Ahlab, or of Achzib, or of Helbah, or of Aphik, or of Rehob.
  2. So the Asherites lived among the Canaanites, the inhabitants of the land; for they did not drive them out.
  3. Naphtali did not drive out the inhabitants of Beth-shemesh, or the inhabitants of Beth-anath, but lived among the Canaanites, the inhabitants of the land; and the inhabitants of Beth-shemesh and Beth-anath became forced labor for them.
  4. Then the Amorites forced the sons of Dan into the hill country, for they did not allow them to come down to the valley;
  5. yet the Amorites persisted in living in Mount Heres, in Aijalon and in Shaalbim; but when the power of the house of Joseph grew strong, they became forced labor.
  1. エモリ 人の 國境は アクラビム の 坂から， セラ を 經て， 上のほうに 及んだ．
  1. The border of the Amorites ran from the ascent of Akrabbim, from Sela and upward.
 
  이스라엘의 타락(2:1-2:23)    
 
  1. さて， 主の 使いが ギルガル から ボキム に 上って 來て 言った． 「わたしはあなたがたを エジプト から 上らせて， あなたがたの 先祖に 誓った 地に 連れて 來て 言った． 『わたしはあなたがたとの 契約を 決して 破らない．
  2. あなたがたはこの 地の 住民と 契約を 結んではならない． 彼らの 祭壇を 取りこわさなければならない． 』ところが， あなたがたはわたしの 聲に 聞き 從わなかった． なぜこのようなことをしたのか．
  3. それゆえわたしは 言う． 『わたしはあなたがたの 前から 彼らを 追い 出さない． 彼らはあなたがたの 敵となり， 彼らの 神¿はあなたがたにとってわなとなる． 』」
  4. 主の 使いがこれらのことばを イスラエル 人全體に 語ったとき， 民は 聲をあげて 泣いた．
  5. それで， その 場所の 名を ボキム と 呼んだ． 彼らはその 場所で 主にいけにえをささげた．
  1. Now the angel of the LORD came up from Gilgal to Bochim And he said, "I brought you up out of Egypt and led you into the land which I have sworn to your fathers; and I said, 'I will never break My covenant with you,
  2. and as for you, you shall make no covenant with the inhabitants of this land; you shall tear down their altars.' But you have not obeyed Me; what is this you have done?
  3. "Therefore I also said, 'I will not drive them out before you; but they will become as thorns in your sides and their gods will be a snare to you.'"
  4. When the angel of the LORD spoke these words to all the sons of Israel, the people lifted up their voices and wept.
  5. So they named that place Bochim; and there they sacrificed to the LORD.
  1. ヨシュア が 民を 送り 出したので， イスラエル 人はそれぞれ 地を 自分の 相續地として 占領するために 出て 行った．
  2. 民は， ヨシュア の 生きている 間， また， ヨシュア のあとまで 生き 殘って 主が イスラエル に 行なわれたすべての 大きなわざを 見た 長老たちの 生きている 間， 主に 仕えた．
  3. 主のしもべ， ヌン の 子 ヨシュア は 百十歲で 死んだ．
  4. 人¿は 彼を， エフライム の 山地， ガアシュ 山の 北にある 彼の 相續の 地境 ティムナテ · ヘレス に 葬った．
  5. その 同世代の 者もみな， その 先祖のもとに 集められたが， 彼らのあとに， 主を 知らず， また， 主が イスラエル のためにされたわざも 知らないほかの 世代が 起こった．
  1. When Joshua had dismissed the people, the sons of Israel went each to his inheritance to possess the land.
  2. The people served the LORD all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders who survived Joshua, who had seen all the great work of the LORD which He had done for Israel.
  3. Then Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the LORD, died at the age of one hundred and ten.
  4. And they buried him in the territory of his inheritance in Timnath-heres, in the hill country of Ephraim, north of Mount Gaash.
  5. All that generation also were gathered to their fathers; and there arose another generation after them who did not know the LORD, nor yet the work which He had done for Israel.
  1. それで， イスラエル 人は 主の 目の 前に 惡を 行ない， バアル に 仕えた．
  2. 彼らは， エジプト の 地から 自分たちを 連れ 出した 父祖の 神， 主を 捨てて， ほかの 神¿， 彼らの 回りにいる 國¿の 民の 神¿に 從い， それらを 拜み， 主を 怒らせた．
  3. 彼らが 主を 捨てて， バアル と アシュタロテ に 仕えたので，
  4. 主の 怒りが イスラエル に 向かって 燃え 上がり， 主は 彼らを 略奪者の 手に 渡して， 彼らを 略奪させた． 主は 回りの 敵の 手に 彼らを 賣り 渡した． それで， 彼らはもはや， 敵の 前に 立ち 向かうことができなかった．

  1. Then the sons of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD and served the Baals,
  2. and they forsook the LORD, the God of their fathers, who had brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods from among the gods of the peoples who were around them, and bowed themselves down to them; thus they provoked the LORD to anger.
  3. So they forsook the LORD and served Baal and the Ashtaroth.
  4. The anger of the LORD burned against Israel, and He gave them into the hands of plunderers who plundered them; and He sold them into the hands of their enemies around them, so that they could no longer stand before their enemies.
  5. Wherever they went, the hand of the LORD was against them for evil, as the LORD had spoken and as the LORD had sworn to them, so that they were severely distressed.
  1. そのとき， 主はさばきつかさを 起こして， 彼らを 略奪する 者の 手から 救われた．
  2. ところが， 彼らはそのさばきつかさにも 聞き 從わず， ほかの 神¿を 慕って 淫行を 行ない， それを 拜み， 彼らの 先祖たちが 主の 命令に 聞き 從って 步んだ 道から， またたくまにそれて， 先祖たちのようには 行なわなかった．
  3. 主が 彼らのためにさばきつかさを 起こされる 場合は， 主はさばきつかさとともにおられ， そのさばきつかさの 生きている 間は， 敵の 手から 彼らを 救われた． これは， 壓迫し， 苦しめる 者のために 彼らがうめいたので， 主があわれまれたからである．
  4. しかし， さばきつかさが 死ぬと， 彼らはいつも 逆戾りして， 先祖たちよりも， いっそう 墮落して， ほかの 神¿に 從い， それに 仕え， それを 拜んだ． 彼らはその 行ないや， 頑迷な 生き 方を 捨てなかった．
  5. それで， 主の 怒りが イスラエル に 向かって 燃え 上がった． 主は 仰せられた． 「この 民は， わたしが 彼らの 先祖たちに 命じたわたしの 契約を 破り， わたしの 聲に 聞き 從わなかったから，
  1. Then the LORD raised up judges who delivered them from the hands of those who plundered them.
  2. Yet they did not listen to their judges, for they played the harlot after other gods and bowed themselves down to them. They turned aside quickly from the way in which their fathers had walked in obeying the commandments of the LORD; they did not do as their fathers.
  3. When the LORD raised up judges for them, the LORD was with the judge and delivered them from the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge; for the LORD was moved to pity by their groaning because of those who oppressed and afflicted them.
  4. But it came about when the judge died, that they would turn back and act more corruptly than their fathers, in following other gods to serve them and bow down to them; they did not abandon their practices or their stubborn ways.
  5. So the anger of the LORD burned against Israel, and He said, "Because this nation has transgressed My covenant which I commanded their fathers and has not listened to My voice,
  1. わたしもまた， ヨシュア が 死んだとき 殘していた 國民を， 彼らの 前から 一つも 追い 拂わない．
  2. 彼らの 先祖たちが 主の 道を 守って 步んだように， 彼らもそれを 守って 步むかどうか， これらの 國民によって イスラエル を 試みるためである． 」
  3. こうして， 主はこれらの 國民をただちに 追い 出さないで， 殘しておき， ヨシュア の 手に 渡されなかったのである．
  1. I also will no longer drive out before them any of the nations which Joshua left when he died,
  2. in order to test Israel by them, whether they will keep the way of the LORD to walk in it as their fathers did, or not."
  3. So the LORD allowed those nations to remain, not driving them out quickly; and He did not give them into the hand of Joshua.
 
  사사(士師, 2:16)  원어적 의미는 ‘재판관’이며, 왕이 없는 부족 사회의 정치적, 군사적 지도자를 의미함  
  패괴(悖乖, 2:19)  부패하여 타락함
