사사기 3:1-4:24

 이스라엘에서 전쟁을 알지 못하는 세대가 일어나 하나님 앞에 악을 행하자, 하나님께서 그들을 외적의 손에 붙이셨다. 백성들이 범죄할 때마다 하나님께서는 메소보다미아, 모압, 블레셋을 통해 그들을 치셨고, 이에 백성들이 하나님께 부르짖자 옷니엘과 에훗과 삼갈을 사사로 세워 그들을 구원하셨다. 그러나 그 후에도 백성들은 다시 타락하여 가나안의 압제를 받게 되었다. 이 때 드보라가 사사가 되어 이스라엘을 가나안의 압제에서 구원하였다.
  
  옷니엘과 에훗(3:1-3:31)    
 
  1. カナン での 戰いを 少しも 知らないすべての イスラエル を 試みるために， 主が 殘しておかれた 國民は 次のとおり．
  2. ··これはただ イスラエル の 次の 世代の 者， これまで 戰いを 知らない 者たちに， 戰いを 敎え， 知らせるためである． ··
  3. すなわち， ペリシテ 人の 五人の 領主と， すべての カナン 人と， シドン 人と， バアル · ヘルモン 山から レボ · ハマテ までの レバノン 山に 住んでいた ヒビ 人とであった．
  4. これは， 主が モ ― セ を 通して 先祖たちに 命じた 命令に， イスラエル が 聞き 從うかどうか， これらの 者によって イスラエル を 試み， そして 知るためであった．
  5. イスラエル 人は， カナン 人， ヘテ 人， エモリ 人， ペリジ 人， ヒビ 人， エブス 人の 間に 住んで，
  1. Now these are the nations which the LORD left, to test Israel by them (that is, all who had not experienced any of the wars of Canaan;
  2. only in order that the generations of the sons of Israel might be taught war, those who had not experienced it formerly).
  3. These nations are: the five lords of the Philistines and all the Canaanites and the Sidonians and the Hivites who lived in Mount Lebanon, from Mount Baal-hermon as far as Lebo-hamath.
  4. They were for testing Israel, to find out if they would obey the commandments of the LORD, which He had commanded their fathers through Moses.
  5. The sons of Israel lived among the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites;
  1. 彼らの 娘たちを 自分たちの 妻にめとり， また 自分たちの 娘を 彼らの 息子たちに 與え， 彼らの 神¿に 仕えた．

  1. and they took their daughters for themselves as wives, and gave their own daughters to their sons, and served their gods.
  2. The sons of Israel did what was evil in the sight of the LORD, and forgot the LORD their God and served the Baals and the Asheroth.
  3. Then the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, so that He sold them into the hands of Cushan-rishathaim king of Mesopotamia; and the sons of Israel served Cushan-rishathaim eight years.
  4. When the sons of Israel cried to the LORD, the LORD raised up a deliverer for the sons of Israel to deliver them, Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother.
  5. The Spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he judged Israel. When he went out to war, the LORD gave Cushan-rishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand, so that he prevailed over Cushan-rishathaim.
  1. こうして， この 國は 四十年の 間， 穩やかであった． その 後， ケナズ の 子 オテニエル は 死んだ．

  2. Now the sons of Israel again did evil in the sight of the LORD So the LORD strengthened Eglon the king of Moab against Israel, because they had done evil in the sight of the LORD.
  3. And he gathered to himself the sons of Ammon and Amalek; and he went and defeated Israel, and they possessed the city of the palm trees.
  4. The sons of Israel served Eglon the king of Moab eighteen years.
  5. But when the sons of Israel cried to the LORD, the LORD raised up a deliverer for them, Ehud the son of Gera, the Benjamite, a left-handed man. And the sons of Israel sent tribute by him to Eglon the king of Moab.
  1. エフデ は 長さ 一 キュビト の， 一振りのもろ 刃の 劍を 作り， それを 着物の 下の 右ももの 上の 帶にはさんだ．

  1. Ehud made himself a sword which had two edges, a cubit in length, and he bound it on his right thigh under his cloak.
  2. He presented the tribute to Eglon king of Moab. Now Eglon was a very fat man.
  3. It came about when he had finished presenting the tribute, that he sent away the people who had carried the tribute.
  4. But he himself turned back from the idols which were at Gilgal, and said, "I have a secret message for you, O king." And he said, "Keep silence." And all who attended him left him.
  5. Ehud came to him while he was sitting alone in his cool roof chamber. And Ehud said, "I have a message from God for you." And he arose from his seat.
  1. このとき， エフデ は 左手を 伸ばして， 右ももから 劍を 取り 出し， 王の 腹を 刺した．
  2. 柄も 刃も， 共にはいってしまった． 彼が 劍を 王の 腹から 拔かなかったので， 脂肪が 刃をふさいでしまった． エフデ は 窓から 出て，
  3. 廊下へ 出て 行き， 王のいる 屋上の 部屋の 戶を 閉じ， かんぬきで 締めた．
  4. 彼が 出て 行くと， 王のしもべたちがやって 來た． そして 見ると， 屋上の 部屋にかんぬきがかけられていたので， 彼らは， 「王はきっと ¿み 部屋で 用をたしておられるのだろう． 」と 思った．
  5. それで， しもべたちはいつまでも 待っていたが， 王が 屋上の 部屋の 戶をいっこうにあけないので， かぎを 取ってあけると， なんと， 彼らの 主人は 床の 上に 倒れて 死んでいた．
  1. Ehud stretched out his left hand, took the sword from his right thigh and thrust it into his belly.
  2. The handle also went in after the blade, and the fat closed over the blade, for he did not draw the sword out of his belly; and the refuse came out.
  3. Then Ehud went out into the vestibule and shut the doors of the roof chamber behind him, and locked them.
  4. When he had gone out, his servants came and looked, and behold, the doors of the roof chamber were locked; and they said, "He is only relieving himself in the cool room."
  5. They waited until they became anxious; but behold, he did not open the doors of the roof chamber. Therefore they took the key and opened them, and behold, their master had fallen to the floor dead.
  1. エフデ はしもべたちが 手間取っている 間にのがれて， 石切り 場の 所を 通り 過ぎ， セイラ にのがれた．
  2. エフデ は 行って， エフライム の 山地で 角笛を 吹き 鳴らした． すると， イスラエル 人は 彼といっしょに 山地から 下って 行き， 彼はその 先頭に 立った．
  3. エフデ は 彼らに 言った． 「私を 追って 來なさい． 主はあなたがたの 敵 モアブ 人をあなたがたの 手に 渡された． 」それで， 彼らは エフデ のあとについて 下って 行き， モアブ への ヨルダン 川の 渡し 場を 攻め 取って， ひとりも 渡らせなかった．
  4. このとき 彼らは 約一万人の モアブ 人を 打った． 彼らはみなたくましい， 力ある 者たちであったが， ひとりも 助からなかった．
  5. このようにして， モアブ はその 日 イスラエル によって 征服され， この 國は 八十年の 間， 穩やかであった．
  1. Now Ehud escaped while they were delaying, and he passed by the idols and escaped to Seirah.
  2. It came about when he had arrived, that he blew the trumpet in the hill country of Ephraim; and the sons of Israel went down with him from the hill country, and he was in front of them.
  3. He said to them, "Pursue them, for the LORD has given your enemies the Moabites into your hands." So they went down after him and seized the fords of the Jordan opposite Moab, and did not allow anyone to cross.
  4. They struck down at that time about ten thousand Moabites, all robust and valiant men; and no one escaped.
  5. So Moab was subdued that day under the hand of Israel. And the land was undisturbed for eighty years.
  1. エフデ のあとに アナテ の 子 シャムガル が 起こり， 牛の 突き 棒で ペリシテ 人六百人を 打った． 彼もまた イスラエル を 救った．
  1. After him came Shamgar the son of Anath, who struck down six hundred Philistines with an oxgoad; and he also saved Israel.
 
  드보라와 바락(4:1-4:24)    
 
  1. その 後， イスラエル 人はまた， 主の 目の 前に 惡を 行なった． エフデ は 死んでいた．

  2. And the LORD sold them into the hand of Jabin king of Canaan, who reigned in Hazor; and the commander of his army was Sisera, who lived in Harosheth-hagoyim.
  3. The sons of Israel cried to the LORD; for he had nine hundred iron chariots, and he oppressed the sons of Israel severely for twenty years.
  4. Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, was judging Israel at that time.
  5. She used to sit under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim; and the sons of Israel came up to her for judgment.
  1. あるとき， デボラ は 使いを 送って， ナフタリ の ケデシュ から アビノアム の 子 バラク を 呼び 寄せ， 彼に 言った． 「イスラエル の 神， 主はこう 命じられたではありませんか． 『タボル 山に 進軍せよ． ナフタリ 族と ゼブルン 族のうちから 一万人を 取れ．
  2. わたしは ヤビン の 將軍 シセラ とその 戰車と 大軍とを キション 川のあなたのところに 引き 寄せ， 彼をあなたの 手に 渡す． 』」

  5. バラク は ゼブルン と ナフタリ を ケデシュ に 呼び 集め， 一万人を 引き 連れて 上った． デボラ も 彼といっしょに 上った．
  1. Now she sent and summoned Barak the son of Abinoam from Kedesh-naphtali, and said to him, "Behold, the LORD, the God of Israel, has commanded, 'Go and march to Mount Tabor, and take with you ten thousand men from the sons of Naphtali and from the sons of Zebulun.
  2. 'I will draw out to you Sisera, the commander of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his many troops to the river Kishon, and I will give him into your hand.'"
  3. Then Barak said to her, "If you will go with me, then I will go; but if you will not go with me, I will not go."
  4. She said, "I will surely go with you; nevertheless, the honor shall not be yours on the journey that you are about to take, for the LORD will sell Sisera into the hands of a woman." Then Deborah arose and went with Barak to Kedesh.
  5. Barak called Zebulun and Naphtali together to Kedesh, and ten thousand men went up with him; Deborah also went up with him.
  1. ケニ 人へ ベル は， モ ― セ の 義兄弟 ホバブ の 子孫の カイン から 離れて， ケデシュ の 近くの ツァアナニム の ¿の 木のそばで 天幕を 張っていた．

  1. Now Heber the Kenite had separated himself from the Kenites, from the sons of Hobab the father-in-law of Moses, and had pitched his tent as far away as the oak in Zaanannim, which is near Kedesh.
  2. Then they told Sisera that Barak the son of Abinoam had gone up to Mount Tabor.
  3. Sisera called together all his chariots, nine hundred iron chariots, and all the people who were with him, from Harosheth-hagoyim to the river Kishon.
  4. Deborah said to Barak, "Arise! For this is the day in which the LORD has given Sisera into your hands; behold, the LORD has gone out before you." So Barak went down from Mount Tabor with ten thousand men following him.
  5. The LORD routed Sisera and all his chariots and all his army with the edge of the sword before Barak; and Sisera alighted from his chariot and fled away on foot.
  1. バラク は 戰車と 陣營を ハロシェテ · ハゴイム に 追いつめた． こうして， シセラ の 陣營の 者はみな 劍の 刃に 倒れ， 殘された 者はひとりもいなかった．

  5. シセラ はまた 彼女に 言った． 「天幕の 入口に 立っていてください． もしだれかが 來て， 『ここにだれかいないか． 』とあなたに 尋ねたら， 『いない． 』と 言ってください． 」
  1. But Barak pursued the chariots and the army as far as Harosheth-hagoyim, and all the army of Sisera fell by the edge of the sword; not even one was left.
  2. Now Sisera fled away on foot to the tent of Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite, for there was peace between Jabin the king of Hazor and the house of Heber the Kenite.
  3. Jael went out to meet Sisera, and said to him, "Turn aside, my master, turn aside to me! Do not be afraid." And he turned aside to her into the tent, and she covered him with a rug.
  4. He said to her, "Please give me a little water to drink, for I am thirsty." So she opened a bottle of milk and gave him a drink; then she covered him.
  5. He said to her, "Stand in the doorway of the tent, and it shall be if anyone comes and inquires of you, and says, 'Is there anyone here?' that you shall say, 'No.'"
  1. だが， ヘベル の 妻 ヤエル は 天幕の 鐵のくいを 取ると， 手に 槌を 持ってそっと 彼のところへ 近づき， 彼のこめかみに 鐵のくいを 打ち ¿んで 地に 刺し 通した． 彼は 疲れていたので， 熟睡していた． こうして 彼は 死んだ．
  2. ちょうどその 時， バラク が シセラ を 追って 來たので， ヤエル は 彼を 迎えに 出て， 言った． 「さあ， あなたの 搜している 人をお 見せしましょう． 」彼が ヤエル のところに 來ると， そこに， シセラ は 倒れて 死んでおり， そのこめかみには 鐵のくいが 刺さっていた．

  1. But Jael, Heber's wife, took a tent peg and seized a hammer in her hand, and went secretly to him and drove the peg into his temple, and it went through into the ground; for he was sound asleep and exhausted. So he died.
  2. And behold, as Barak pursued Sisera, Jael came out to meet him and said to him, "Come, and I will show you the man whom you are seeking." And he entered with her, and behold Sisera was lying dead with the tent peg in his temple.
  3. So God subdued on that day Jabin the king of Canaan before the sons of Israel.
  4. The hand of the sons of Israel pressed heavier and heavier upon Jabin the king of Canaan, until they had destroyed Jabin the king of Canaan.
