- イエス はまた 彼らに 言われた． 「わたしは 去って 行きます． あなたがたはわたしを 搜すけれども， 自分の 罪の 中で 死にます． わたしが 行く 所に， あなたがたは 來ることができません． 」
- そこで， ユダヤ 人たちは 言った． 「あの 人は『わたしが 行く 所に， あなたがたは 來ることができない． 』と 言うが， 自殺するつもりなのか． 」
- それで イエス は 彼らに 言われた． 「あなたがたが 來たのは 下からであり， わたしが 來たのは 上からです． あなたがたはこの 世の 者であり， わたしはこの 世の 者ではありません．
- それでわたしは， あなたがたが 自分の 罪の 中で 死ぬと， あなたがたに 言ったのです． もしあなたがたが， わたしのことを 信じなければ， あなたがたは 自分の 罪の 中で 死ぬのです． 」
- そこで， 彼らは イエス に 言った． 「あなたはだれですか． 」 イエス は 言われた． 「それは 初めからわたしがあなたがたに 話そうとしていることです．

- Then He said again to them, "I go away, and you will seek Me, and will die in your sin; where I am going, you cannot come."
- So the Jews were saying, "Surely He will not kill Himself, will He, since He says, 'Where I am going, you cannot come'?"
- And He was saying to them, "You are from below, I am from above; you are of this world, I am not of this world.
- "Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins."
- So they were saying to Him, "Who are You?" Jesus said to them, "What have I been saying to you from the beginning?

- わたしには， あなたがたについて 言うべきこと， さばくべきことがたくさんあります． しかし， わたしを 遣わした 方は 眞實であって， わたしはその 方から 聞いたことをそのまま 世に 告げるのです． 」
- 彼らは， イエス が 父のことを 語っておられたことを 悟らなかった．
- イエス は 言われた． 「あなたがたが 人の 子を 上げてしまうと， その 時， あなたがたは， わたしが 何であるか， また， わたしがわたし 自身からは 何事もせず， ただ 父がわたしに 敎えられたとおりに， これらのことを 話していることを， 知るようになります．
- わたしを 遣わした 方はわたしとともにおられます． わたしをひとり 殘されることはありません． わたしがいつも， そのみこころにかなうことを 行なうからです． 」
- イエス がこれらのことを 話しておられると， 多くの 者が イエス を 信じた．

- "I have many things to speak and to judge concerning you, but He who sent Me is true; and the things which I heard from Him, these I speak to the world."
- They did not realize that He had been speaking to them about the Father.
- So Jesus said, "When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and I do nothing on My own initiative, but I speak these things as the Father taught Me.
- "And He who sent Me is with Me; He has not left Me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to Him."
- As He spoke these things, many came to believe in Him.
