열왕기하 20:1-21:26

 히스기야는 불치병을 기도로 치료받고 생명을 15년 연장받는 기적을 체험하였지만, 바벨론 사절단 앞에서 자신의 부귀 영화를 자랑하는 교만한 행위를 나타냄으로써 이사야 선지자를 통해 유다 왕국의 멸망을 예고받았다. 히스기야의 뒤를 이은 므낫세와 아몬은 거듭된 하나님의 심판의 경고에도 불구하고 우상 숭배와 사악한 통치를 행하여 유다 멸망의 결정적인 원인을 제공하였다.
  
  히스기야의 생명 연장과 실수(20:1-20:21)    
 
  1. そのころ， ヒゼキヤ は 病氣になって 死にかかっていた． そこへ， アモツ の 子， 預言者 イザヤ が 來て， 彼に 言った． 「主はこう 仰せられます． 『あなたの 家を 整理せよ． あなたは 死ぬ． 直らない． 』」
  2. そこで ヒゼキヤ は 顔を 壁に 向けて， 主に 祈って， 言った．
  3. 「ああ， 主よ． どうか 思い 出してください． 私が， まことを 盡くし， 全き 心をもって， あなたの 御前に 步み， あなたがよいと 見られることを 行なってきたことを． 」こうして， ヒゼキヤ は 大聲で 泣いた．
  4. イザヤ がまだ 中庭を 出ないうちに， 次のような 主のことばが 彼にあった．
  5. 「引き 返して， わたしの 民の 君主 ヒゼキヤ に 告げよ． あなたの 父 ダビデ の 神， 主は， こう 仰せられる． 『わたしはあなたの 祈りを 聞いた． あなたの 淚も 見た． 見よ． わたしはあなたをいやす． 三日目には， あなたは 主の 宮に 上る．
  1. In those days Hezekiah became mortally ill And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him and said to him, "Thus says the LORD, 'Set your house in order, for you shall die and not live.'"
  2. Then he turned his face to the wall and prayed to the LORD, saying,
  3. "Remember now, O LORD, I beseech You, how I have walked before You in truth and with a whole heart and have done what is good in Your sight " And Hezekiah wept bitterly.
  4. Before Isaiah had gone out of the middle court, the word of the LORD came to him, saying,
  5. "Return and say to Hezekiah the leader of My people, 'Thus says the LORD, the God of your father David, "I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; behold, I will heal you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the LORD.
  1. わたしは， あなたの 壽命にもう 十五年を 加えよう． わたしは アッシリヤ の 王の 手から， あなたとこの 町を 救い 出し， わたしのために， また， わたしのしもべ ダビデ のためにこの 町を 守る． 』」
  2. イザヤ が， 「干しいちじくをひとかたまり， 持って 來なさい． 」と 命じたので， 人¿はそれを 持って 來て， 腫物に 當てた． すると， 彼は 直った．
  3. ヒゼキヤ は イザヤ に 言った． 「主が 私をいやしてくださり， 私が 三日目に 主の 宮に 上れるしるしは 何ですか． 」
  4. イザヤ は 言った． 「これがあなたへの 主からのしるしです． 主は 約束されたことを 成就されます． 影が 十度進むか， 十度戾るかです． 」
  5. ヒゼキヤ は 答えた． 「影が 十度伸びるのは 容易なことです． むしろ， 影が 十度あとに 戾るようにしてください． 」
  1. "I will add fifteen years to your life, and I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for My own sake and for My servant David's sake."'"
  2. Then Isaiah said, "Take a cake of figs." And they took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered.
  3. Now Hezekiah said to Isaiah, "What will be the sign that the LORD will heal me, and that I shall go up to the house of the LORD the third day?"
  4. Isaiah said, "This shall be the sign to you from the LORD, that the LORD will do the thing that He has spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten steps or go back ten steps?"
  5. So Hezekiah answered, "It is easy for the shadow to decline ten steps; no, but let the shadow turn backward ten steps."
  1. 預言者 イザヤ が 主に 祈ると， 主は アハズ の 日時計におりた 日時計の 影を 十度あとに 戾された．
  2. そのころ， バルアダン の 子， バビロン の 王 メロダク · バルアダン は， 使者を 遣わし， 手紙と 贈り 物を ヒゼキヤ に 屆けた． ヒゼキヤ が 病氣だったことを 聞いていたからである．

  1. Isaiah the prophet cried to the LORD, and He brought the shadow on the stairway back ten steps by which it had gone down on the stairway of Ahaz.
  2. At that time Berodach-baladan a son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present to Hezekiah, for he heard that Hezekiah had been sick.
  3. Hezekiah listened to them, and showed them all his treasure house, the silver and the gold and the spices and the precious oil and the house of his armor and all that was found in his treasuries. There was nothing in his house nor in all his dominion that Hezekiah did not show them.
  4. Then Isaiah the prophet came to King Hezekiah and said to him, "What did these men say, and from where have they come to you?" And Hezekiah said, "They have come from a far country, from Babylon."
  5. He said, "What have they seen in your house?" So Hezekiah answered, "They have seen all that is in my house; there is nothing among my treasuries that I have not shown them."
  1. すると， イザヤ は ヒゼキヤ に 言った． 「主のことばを 聞きなさい．
  2. 見よ． あなたの 家にある 物， あなたの 先祖たちが 今日まで， たくわえてきた 物がすべて， バビロン へ 運び 去られる 日が 來ている． 何一つ 殘されまい， と 主は 仰せられます．
  3. また， あなたの 生む， あなた 自身の 息子たちのうち， 捕えられて バビロン の 王の 宮殿で 宦官となる 者があろう． 」
  4. ヒゼキヤ は イザヤ に 言った． 「あなたが 告げてくれた 主のことばはありがたい． 」彼は， 自分が 生きている 間は， 平和で 安全ではなかろうか， と 思ったからである．
  5. ヒゼキヤ のその 他の 業績， 彼のすべての 功績， 彼が 貯水池と 水道を 造り， 町に 水を 引いたこと， それは ユダ の 王たちの 年代記の 書にしるされているではないか．
  1. Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, "Hear the word of the LORD.
  2. 'Behold, the days are coming when all that is in your house, and all that your fathers have laid up in store to this day will be carried to Babylon; nothing shall be left,' says the LORD.
  3. 'Some of your sons who shall issue from you, whom you will beget, will be taken away; and they will become officials in the palace of the king of Babylon.'"
  4. Then Hezekiah said to Isaiah, "The word of the LORD which you have spoken is good." For he thought, "Is it not so, if there will be peace and truth in my days?"
  5. Now the rest of the acts of Hezekiah and all his might, and how he made the pool and the conduit and brought water into the city, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
  1. こうして， ヒゼキヤ は 彼の 先祖たちとともに 眠り， その 子 マナセ が 代わって 王となった．
  1. So Hezekiah slept with his fathers, and Manasseh his son became king in his place.

  1. Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Hephzibah.
  2. He did evil in the sight of the LORD, according to the abominations of the nations whom the LORD dispossessed before the sons of Israel.
  3. For he rebuilt the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he erected altars for Baal and made an Asherah, as Ahab king of Israel had done, and worshiped all the host of heaven and served them.
  4. He built altars in the house of the LORD, of which the LORD had said, "In Jerusalem I will put My name."
  5. For he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD.
  1. また， 自分の 子どもに 火の 中をくぐらせ， 卜占をし， まじないをし， 靈媒や 口寄せをして， 主の 目の 前に 惡を 行ない， 主の 怒りを 引き 起こした．
  2. さらに 彼は， 自分が 造った アシェラ の 彫像を 宮に 安置した． 主はかつてこの 宮について， ダビデ とその 子 ソロモン に 言われた． 「わたしは， この 宮に， そしてわたしが イスラエル の 全部族の 中から 選んだ エルサレム に， わたしの 名をとこしえに 置く．

  1. He made his son pass through the fire, practiced witchcraft and used divination, and dealt with mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the sight of the LORD provoking Him to anger.
  2. Then he set the carved image of Asherah that he had made, in the house of which the LORD said to David and to his son Solomon, "In this house and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen from all the tribes of Israel, I will put My name forever.
  3. "And I will not make the feet of Israel wander anymore from the land which I gave their fathers, if only they will observe to do according to all that I have commanded them, and according to all the law that My servant Moses commanded them."
  4. But they did not listen, and Manasseh seduced them to do evil more than the nations whom the LORD destroyed before the sons of Israel.
  5. Now the LORD spoke through His servants the prophets, saying,
  1. 「ユダ の 王 マナセ は， これらの 忌みきらうべきことを， 彼以前にいた エモリ 人が 行なったすべてのことよりもさらに 惡いことを 行ない， その 偶像で ユダ にまで 罪を 犯させた．
  2. それゆえ， イスラエル の 神， 主は， こう 仰せられる． 見よ． わたしは エルサレム と ユダ にわざわいをもたらす． だれでもそれを 聞く 者は， 二つの 耳が 鳴るであろう．
  3. わたしは， サマリヤ に 使った 測りなわと， アハブ の 家に 使ったおもりとを エルサレム の 上に 伸ばし， 人が 皿をぬぐい， それをぬぐって 伏せるように， わたしは エルサレム をぬぐい 去ろう．
  4. わたしは， わたしのものである 民の 殘りの 者を 捨て 去り， 彼らを 敵の 手に 渡す． 彼らはそのすべての 敵のえじきとなり， 奪い 取られる．
  5. それは， 彼らの 先祖が エジプト を 出た 日から 今日まで， わたしの 目の 前に 惡を 行ない， わたしの 怒りを 引き 起こしたからである． 」
  1. "Because Manasseh king of Judah has done these abominations, having done wickedly more than all the Amorites did who were before him, and has also made Judah sin with his idols;
  2. therefore thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, 'Behold, I am bringing such calamity on Jerusalem and Judah, that whoever hears of it, both his ears will tingle.
  3. 'I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria and the plummet of the house of Ahab, and I will wipe Jerusalem as one wipes a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down.
  4. 'I will abandon the remnant of My inheritance and deliver them into the hand of their enemies, and they will become as plunder and spoil to all their enemies;
  5. because they have done evil in My sight, and have been provoking Me to anger since the day their fathers came from Egypt, even to this day.'"
  1. マナセ は， ユダ に 罪を 犯させ， 主の 目の 前に 惡を 行なわせて， 罪を 犯したばかりでなく， 罪のない 者の 血まで 多量に 流し， それが エルサレム の 隅¿に 滿ちるほどであった．
  2. マナセ のその 他の 業績， 彼の 行なったすべての 事， および 彼の 犯した 罪， それは ユダ の 王たちの 年代記の 書にしるされているではないか．
  3. マナセ は 彼の 先祖たちとともに 眠り， その 家の 園， ウザ の 園に 葬られた． 彼の 子 アモン が 代わって 王となった．
  4. アモン は 二十二歲で 王となり， エルサレム で 二年間， 王であった． 彼の 母の 名は メシュレメテ といい， ヨテバ の 出の ハルツ の 娘であった．

  1. Moreover, Manasseh shed very much innocent blood until he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another; besides his sin with which he made Judah sin, in doing evil in the sight of the LORD.
  2. Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh and all that he did and his sin which he committed, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
  3. And Manasseh slept with his fathers and was buried in the garden of his own house, in the garden of Uzza, and Amon his son became king in his place.
  4. Amon was twenty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned two years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Meshullemeth the daughter of Haruz of Jotbah.
  5. He did evil in the sight of the LORD, as Manasseh his father had done.
  1. 彼は， 父の 步んだすべての 道に 步み， 父が 仕えた 偶像に 仕え， それらを 拜み，
  2. 彼の 父祖の 神， 主を 捨てて， 主の 道に 步もうとはしなかった．
  3. アモン の 家來たちは 彼に 謀反を 起こし， その 宮殿の 中でこの 王を 殺した．
  4. しかし， 民衆は アモン 王に 謀反を 起こした 者をみな 打ち 殺した． 民衆は アモン の 子 ヨシヤ を 代わりに 王とした．
  5. アモン の 行なったその 他の 業績， それは ユダ の 王たちの 年代記の 書にしるされているではないか．
  1. For he walked in all the way that his father had walked, and served the idols that his father had served and worshiped them.
  2. So he forsook the LORD, the God of his fathers, and did not walk in the way of the LORD.
  3. The servants of Amon conspired against him and killed the king in his own house.
  4. Then the people of the land killed all those who had conspired against King Amon, and the people of the land made Josiah his son king in his place.
  5. Now the rest of the acts of Amon which he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
  1. 人¿は 彼を ウザ の 園にある 彼の 墓に 葬った． 彼の 子 ヨシヤ が 代わって 王となった．
  1. He was buried in his grave in the garden of Uzza, and Josiah his son became king in his place.
