사도행전 22:22-23:11

 바울의 변론을 듣고 더욱 완악해진 유대인들은 그를 죽이려 했지만, 위기에 처한 바울은 자신의 로마 시민권을 이용해 위기에서 모면하였다. 또한 공회로 넘겨진 바울은 산헤드린 공회 앞에서 변론한 후 투옥되었다.
  
  로마 시민권 주장(22:22-22:30)    
 
  1. 人¿は， 彼の 話をここまで 聞いていたが， このとき 聲を 張り 上げて， 「こんな 男は， 地上から 除いてしまえ． 生かしておくべきではない． 」と 言った．
  2. そして， 人¿がわめき 立て， 着物を 放り 投げ， ちりを 空中にまき 散らすので，
  3. 千人隊長は パウロ を 兵營の 中に 引き 入れるように 命じ， 人¿がなぜこのように パウロ に 向かって 叫ぶのかを 知ろうとして， 彼をむち 打って 取り 調べるようにと 言った．
  4. 彼らがむちを 當てるために パウロ を 縛ったとき， パウロ はそばに 立っている 百人隊長に 言った． 「ロ ― マ 市民である 者を， 裁判にもかけずに， むち 打ってよいのですか． 」
  5. これを 聞いた 百人隊長は， 千人隊長のところに 行って 報告し， 「どうなさいますか． あの 人は ロ ― マ 人です． 」と 言った．
  1. They listened to him up to this statement, and then they raised their voices and said, "Away with such a fellow from the earth, for he should not be allowed to live!"
  2. And as they were crying out and throwing off their cloaks and tossing dust into the air,
  3. the commander ordered him to be brought into the barracks, stating that he should be examined by scourging so that he might find out the reason why they were shouting against him that way.
  4. But when they stretched him out with thongs, Paul said to the centurion who was standing by, "Is it lawful for you to scourge a man who is a Roman and uncondemned?"
  5. When the centurion heard this, he went to the commander and told him, saying, "What are you about to do? For this man is a Roman."
  1. 千人隊長は パウロ のところに 來て， 「あなたは ロ ― マ 市民なのか， 私に 言ってくれ． 」と 言った． パウロ は「そうです． 」と 言った．
  2. すると， 千人隊長は， 「私はたくさんの 金を 出して， この 市民權を 買ったのだ． 」と 言った． そこで パウロ は， 「私は 生まれながらの 市民です． 」と 言った．
  3. このため， パウロ を 取り 調べようとしていた 者たちは， すぐに パウロ から 身を 引いた． また 千人隊長も， パウロ が ロ ― マ 市民だとわかると， 彼を 鎖につないでいたので， 恐れた．
  4. その 翌日， 千人隊長は， パウロ がなぜ ユダヤ 人に 告訴されたのかを 確かめたいと 思って， パウロ の 鎖を 解いてやり， 祭司長たちと 全議會の 召集を 命じ， パウロ を 連れて 行って， 彼らの 前に 立たせた．
  1. The commander came and said to him, "Tell me, are you a Roman?" And he said, "Yes."
  2. The commander answered, "I acquired this citizenship with a large sum of money." And Paul said, "But I was actually born a citizen."
  3. Therefore those who were about to examine him immediately let go of him; and the commander also was afraid when he found out that he was a Roman, and because he had put him in chains.
  4. But on the next day, wishing to know for certain why he had been accused by the Jews, he released him and ordered the chief priests and all the Council to assemble, and brought Paul down and set him before them.
 
  공회에서의 변론(23:1-23:11)    
 
  1. パウロ は 議會を 見つめて， こう 言った． 「兄弟たちよ． 私は 今日まで， 全くきよい 良心をもって， 神の 前に 生活して 來ました． 」
  2. すると 大祭司 アナニヤ は， パウロ のそばに 立っている 者たちに， 彼の 口を 打てと 命じた．
  3. その 時， パウロ は アナニヤ に 向かってこう 言った． 「ああ， 白く 塗った 壁． 神があなたを 打たれる． あなたは， 律法に 從って 私をさばく 座に 着きながら， 律法にそむいて， 私を 打てと 命じるのですか． 」
  4. するとそばに 立っている 者たちが， 「あなたは 神の 大祭司をののしるのか． 」と 言ったので，
  5. パウロ が 言った． 「兄弟たち． 私は 彼が 大祭司だとは 知らなかった． 確かに， 『あなたの 民の 指導者を 惡く 言ってはいけない． 』と 書いてあります． 」
  1. Paul, looking intently at the Council, said, "Brethren, I have lived my life with a perfectly good conscience before God up to this day."
  2. The high priest Ananias commanded those standing beside him to strike him on the mouth.
  3. Then Paul said to him, "God is going to strike you, you whitewashed wall! Do you sit to try me according to the Law, and in violation of the Law order me to be struck?"
  4. But the bystanders said, "Do you revile God's high priest?"
  5. And Paul said, "I was not aware, brethren, that he was high priest; for it is written, 'YOU SHALL NOT SPEAK EVIL OF A RULER OF YOUR PEOPLE.'"
  1. しかし， パウロ は， 彼らの 一部が サドカイ 人で， 一部が パリサイ 人であるのを 見て 取って， 議會の 中でこう 叫んだ． 「兄弟たち． 私は パリサイ 人であり， パリサイ 人の 子です． 私は 死者の 復活という 望みのことで， さばきを 受けているのです． 」
  2. 彼がこう 言うと， パリサイ 人と サドカイ 人との 間に 意見の 衝突が 起こり， 議會は 二つに 割れた．
  3. サドカイ 人は， 復活はなく， 御使いも 靈もないと 言い， パリサイ 人は， どちらもあると 言っていたからである．
  4. ¿ぎがいよいよ 大きくなり， パリサイ 派のある 律法學者たちが 立ち 上がって 激しく 論じて， 「私たちは， この 人に 何の 惡い 点も 見いださない． もしかしたら， 靈か 御使いかが， 彼に 語りかけたのかも 知れない． 」と 言った．
  5. 論爭がますます 激しくなったので， 千人隊長は， パウロ が 彼らに 引き 裂かれてしまうのではないかと 心配し， 兵隊に， 下に 降りて 行って， パウロ を 彼らの 中から 力ずくで 引き 出し， 兵營に 連れて 來るように 命じた．
  1. But perceiving that one group were Sadducees and the other Pharisees, Paul began crying out in the Council, "Brethren, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees; I am on trial for the hope and resurrection of the dead!"
  2. As he said this, there occurred a dissension between the Pharisees and Sadducees, and the assembly was divided.
  3. For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, nor an angel, nor a spirit, but the Pharisees acknowledge them all.
  4. And there occurred a great uproar; and some of the scribes of the Pharisaic party stood up and began to argue heatedly, saying, "We find nothing wrong with this man; suppose a spirit or an angel has spoken to him?"
  5. And as a great dissension was developing, the commander was afraid Paul would be torn to pieces by them and ordered the troops to go down and take him away from them by force, and bring him into the barracks.
  1. その 夜， 主が パウロ のそばに 立って， 「勇氣を 出しなさい． あなたは， エルサレム でわたしのことをあかししたように， ロ ― マ でもあかしをしなければならない． 」と 言われた．
  1. But on the night immediately following, the Lord stood at his side and said, "Take courage; for as you have solemnly witnessed to My cause at Jerusalem, so you must witness at Rome also."
 
  사두개인( 23:6)  영적 존재에 대한 믿음과 부활, 그리고 예정론에 대한 교리를 부인하면서 오직 기록된 말씀만을 인정하는 유대교의 한 분파
