	느헤미야 10:1-11:36 이스라엘 백성들은 하나님의 모든 계명을 지켜 충성할 것을 맹세하는 표시로 인을 치는 일에 동참하였다. 백성의 지도자들은 예루살렘 성에 머물렀으며, 그 남은 백성은 제비를 뽑아 십분의 일은 성에 거하고 나머지는 다른 성읍에 거하였다.

	언약의 맹세(10:1-10:39)

印を押した者は次のとおりである．ハカルヤの子の總督ネヘミヤ，およびゼデキヤ，

セラヤ，アザルヤ，エレミヤ，

パシュフル，アマルヤ，マルキヤ，

ハトシュ，シェバヌヤ，マルク，

ハリム，メレモテ，オバデヤ，

Now on the sealed document were the names of: Nehemiah the governor, the son of Hacaliah, and Zedekiah,

Seraiah, Azariah, Jeremiah,

Pashhur, Amariah, Malchijah,

Hattush, Shebaniah, Malluch,

Harim, Meremoth, Obadiah,

ダニエル，ギネトン，バルク，

メシュラム，アビヤ，ミヤミン，

マアズヤ，ビルガイ，シェマヤ．以上は祭司たちであった．

次にレビ人たちでは，アザヌヤの子ヨシュア，ヘナダデの子らのうちのビヌイ，カデミエル，

および，彼らの親類シェバヌヤ，ホディヤ，ケリタ，ペラヤ，ハナン，

Daniel, Ginnethon, Baruch,

Meshullam, Abijah, Mijamin,

Maaziah, Bilgai, Shemaiah. These were the priests.

And the Levites: Jeshua the son of Azaniah, Binnui of the sons of Henadad, Kadmiel;

also their brothers Shebaniah, Hodiah, Kelita, Pelaiah, Hanan,

The leaders of the people: Parosh, Pahath-moab, Elam, Zattu, Bani,

Bunni, Azgad, Bebai,

Meshezabel, Zadok, Jaddua,

このほかの民，祭司，レビ人，門衛，歌うたい，宮に仕えるしもべたち，また，國¿の民と緣を絶って神の律法についた者全員，その妻，息子，娘たち，すべて理解できるまでになった者は，

彼らの親類のすぐれた人¿にたより，神のしもべモ ― セを通して與えられた神の律法に從って步み，私たちの主，主のすべての命令，その定めとおきてを守り行なうための，のろいと誓いとに加わった．

すなわち，私たちの娘をこの地の民たちにとつがせず，また，彼らの娘を私たちの息子にめとらない．

Ahiah, Hanan, Anan,

Malluch, Harim, Baanah.

Now the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, the temple servants and all those who had separated themselves from the peoples of the lands to the law of God, their wives, their sons and their daughters, all those who had knowledge and understanding,

are joining with their kinsmen, their nobles, and are taking on themselves a curse and an oath to walk in God's law, which was given through Moses, God's servant, and to keep and to observe all the commandments of GOD our Lord, and His ordinances and His statutes;

and that we will not give our daughters to the peoples of the land or take their daughters for our sons.

たとい，この地の民たちが安息日に，品物，すなわち，いろいろな穀物を賣りに持って來ても，私たちは安息日や聖日には彼らから買わない．また，私たちは七年目には土地を休ませ，すべての負債を取り立てない．

私たちは，私たちの神の宮の禮拜のために，每年シェケルの三分の一をささげるとの命令を自分たちで定めた．

これは， ¿べ供えるパンと，常供の穀物のささげ物，また常供の全燒のいけにえ，また，安息日，新月の祭り，例祭のいけにえ，聖なるささげ物，また，イスラエルの ·いをなす罪のためのいけにえ，さらに，私たちの神の宮のすべての用途のためであった．

また私たち，祭司とレビ人と民とは，律法にしるされているとおり，私たちの神，主の，祭壇の上で燃やすたきぎのささげ物についてのくじを引き，每年，定まった時に，私たちの父祖の家ごとに，それを私たちの神の宮に携えて來ることに決めた．

また，私たちの土地の初なりと，あらゆる木の初なりの果實とをみな，每年，主の宮に携えて來ることに決めた．

As for the peoples of the land who bring wares or any grain on the sabbath day to sell, we will not buy from them on the sabbath or a holy day; and we will forego the crops the seventh year and the exaction of every debt.

We also placed ourselves under obligation to contribute yearly one third of a shekel for the service of the house of our God:

for the showbread, for the continual grain offering, for the continual burnt offering, the sabbaths, the new moon, for the appointed times, for the holy things and for the sin offerings to make atonement for Israel, and all the work of the house of our God.

Likewise we cast lots for the supply of wood among the priests, the Levites and the people so that they might bring it to the house of our God, according to our fathers' households, at fixed times annually, to burn on the altar of the LORD our God, as it is written in the law;

and that they might bring the first fruits of our ground and the first fruits of all the fruit of every tree to the house of the LORD annually,

また，律法にしるされているとおり，私たちの子どもと家畜の初子，および，私たちの牛や羊の初子を，私たちの神の宮に，私たちの神の宮で仕えている祭司たちのところに携えて來ることに決めた．

また，私たちの初物の麥粉と，私たちの奉納物，およびあらゆる木の果實，新しいぶどう酒と油を，祭司たちのところに，私たちの神の宮の部屋に携えて來ることにした．また，私たちの土地の十分の一はレビ人たちのものとした．レビ人が，彼ら自身で私たちの農耕するすべての町から，その十分の一を集めることにした．

レビ人が十分の一を集めるとき，アロンの子孫である祭司が，そのレビ人とともにいなければならない．レビ人はその十分の一の十分の一を，私たちの神の宮へ携え上り，寶物倉の部屋に納めなければならない．

この部屋に，イスラエル人とレビ人たちは，穀物や，新しいぶどう酒や油の奉納物を携えて來るようになっているからである．そこには聖所の器具があり，また，當番の祭司や門衛や歌うたいもいる．こうして私たちは，私たちの神の宮をなおざりにしないのである．

and bring to the house of our God the firstborn of our sons and of our cattle, and the firstborn of our herds and our flocks as it is written in the law, for the priests who are ministering in the house of our God.

We will also bring the first of our dough, our contributions, the fruit of every tree, the new wine and the oil to the priests at the chambers of the house of our God, and the tithe of our ground to the Levites, for the Levites are they who receive the tithes in all the rural towns.

The priest, the son of Aaron, shall be with the Levites when the Levites receive tithes, and the Levites shall bring up the tenth of the tithes to the house of our God, to the chambers of the storehouse.

For the sons of Israel and the sons of Levi shall bring the contribution of the grain, the new wine and the oil to the chambers; there are the utensils of the sanctuary, the priests who are ministering, the gatekeepers and the singers Thus we will not neglect the house of our God.

	예루살렘의 거주자들(11:1-11:36)

民のつかさたちはエルサレムに住んでいたが，ほかの民は，くじを引いて，十人のうちからひとりずつ，聖なる都エルサレムに來て住むようにし，あとの九人をほかの町¿に住まわせた．

すると民は，自分から進んでエルサレムに住もうとする人¿をみな，祝福した．

エルサレムに住んだこの州のかしらたちは次のとおりである．ユダの町¿には，イスラエル人，祭司，レビ人，宮に仕えるしもべたち，ソロモンのしもべたちの子孫が，それぞれ，自分たちの町¿の自分の所有地に住んだ．

ユダ族とベニヤミン族のうちのある者は，エルサレムに住んだ．すなわち，ユダ族では，ウジヤの子アタヤであった．このウジヤはゼカリヤの子，順次さかのぼって，アマルヤの子，シェファテヤの子，マハラルエルの子．マハラルエルはペレツの子孫のひとりである．

次にバルクの子マアセヤであった．このバルクはコル · ホゼの子，順次さかのぼって，ハザヤの子，アダヤの子，エホヤリブの子，ゼカリヤの子．ゼカリヤはシェラ人の子孫である．

Now the leaders of the people lived in Jerusalem, but the rest of the people cast lots to bring one out of ten to live in Jerusalem, the holy city, while nine-tenths remained in the other cities.

And the people blessed all the men who volunteered to live in Jerusalem.

Now these are the heads of the provinces who lived in Jerusalem, but in the cities of Judah each lived on his own property in their cities--the Israelites, the priests, the Levites, the temple servants and the descendants of Solomon's servants.

Some of the sons of Judah and some of the sons of Benjamin lived in Jerusalem. From the sons of Judah: Athaiah the son of Uzziah, the son of Zechariah, the son of Amariah, the son of Shephatiah, the son of Mahalalel, of the sons of Perez;

and Maaseiah the son of Baruch, the son of Col-hozeh, the son of Hazaiah, the son of Adaiah, the son of Joiarib, the son of Zechariah, the son of the Shilonite.

エルサレムに住んだペレツの子孫は合計四百六十八名の勇士であった．

ベニヤミン族では次のとおりである．メシュラムの子サル．このメシュラムはヨエデの子，順次さかのぼって，ペダヤの子，コラヤの子，マアセヤの子，イティエルの子，エシャヤの子である．

彼の次には，ガバイとサライで，九百二十八名．

ジクリの子ヨエルが彼らの監督者であり，セヌアの子ユダが，彼の副監督者としてこの町を治めた．

All the sons of Perez who lived in Jerusalem were 468 able men.

Now these are the sons of Benjamin: Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Joed, the son of Pedaiah, the son of Kolaiah, the son of Maaseiah, the son of Ithiel, the son of Jeshaiah;

and after him Gabbai and Sallai, 928.

Joel the son of Zichri was their overseer, and Judah the son of Hassenuah was second in command of the city.

From the priests: Jedaiah the son of Joiarib, Jachin,

神の宮のつかさセラヤであった．このセラヤはヒルキヤの子，順次さかのぼって，メシュラムの子，ツァドクの子，メラヨテの子，アヒトブの子である．

なお，宮の務めをする彼らの同族で，八百二十二名．また，エロハムの子アダヤがいた．このエロハムはぺラルヤの子，順次さかのぼって，アムツィの子，ゼカリヤの子，パシュフルの子，マルキヤの子である．

アダヤの同族で一族のかしらたちは二百四十二名．また，アザルエルの子アマシュサイがいた．このアザルエルはアフザイの子，順次さかのぼって，メシレモテの子，イメルの子である．

彼らの同族の勇士たちは百二十八名．彼らの監督者はハゲドリムの子ザブディエルであった．

レビ人のうちでは，ハシュブの子シェマヤ．このハシュブはアズリカムの子，順次さかのぼって，ハシャブヤの子，ブニの子である．

Seraiah the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, the leader of the house of God,

and their kinsmen who performed the work of the temple, 822; and Adaiah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pelaliah, the son of Amzi, the son of Zechariah, the son of Pashhur, the son of Malchijah,

and his kinsmen, heads of fathers' households, 242; and Amashsai the son of Azarel, the son of Ahzai, the son of Meshillemoth, the son of Immer,

and their brothers, valiant warriors, 128. And their overseer was Zabdiel, the son of Haggedolim.

Now from the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Bunni;

また，レビ人のかしらのシャベタイとエホザバデは，神の宮の外の仕事を監督していた．

また，ミカの子マタヌヤがいた．ミカはアサフの子のザブディの子である．マタヌヤは，祈りのために感謝の歌を始める指揮者，バクブクヤはその兄弟たちの副指揮者であった．またシャムアの子アブダがいた．シャムアは，エドトンの子のガラルの子である．

聖なる都にいるレビ人は合計二百八十四名であった．

門の見張りをする門衛では，アクブとタルモン，および，彼らの同族百七十二名であった．

そのほかのイスラエル人，祭司，レビ人たちは，ユダのすべての町¿で，それぞれ自分のゆずりの地にいた．

and Shabbethai and Jozabad, from the leaders of the Levites, who were in charge of the outside work of the house of God;

and Mattaniah the son of Mica, the son of Zabdi, the son of Asaph, who was the leader in beginning the thanksgiving at prayer, and Bakbukiah, the second among his brethren; and Abda the son of Shammua, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun.

All the Levites in the holy city were 284.

Also the gatekeepers, Akkub, Talmon and their brethren who kept watch at the gates, were 172.

The rest of Israel, of the priests and of the Levites, were in all the cities of Judah, each on his own inheritance.

宮に仕えるしもべたちはオフェルに住み，ツィハとギシュパは宮に仕えるしもべたちを監督していた．

エルサレムにいるレビ人の監督者はバニの子ウジであった．バニはハシャブヤの子，ハシャブヤはマタヌヤの子，マタヌヤはミカの子である．ウジはアサフの子孫の歌うたいのひとりで，神の宮の禮拜を指導していた．

彼らについては王の命令があり，歌うたいたちには日課が定められていた．

またユダの子ゼラフの子孫のひとりで，メシェザブエルの子ペタヘヤは，王に代わって民に關するすべての事がらを取り扱った．

ユダの子孫のある者は，自分の畑に近い村¿に住んだ．すなわち，キルヤテ · アルバとそれに屬する村落，ディボンとそれに屬する村落，エカブツェエルとその村¿，

But the temple servants were living in Ophel, and Ziha and Gishpa were in charge of the temple servants.

Now the overseer of the Levites in Jerusalem was Uzzi the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Mica, from the sons of Asaph, who were the singers for the service of the house of God.

For there was a commandment from the king concerning them and a firm regulation for the song leaders day by day.

Pethahiah the son of Meshezabel, of the sons of Zerah the son of Judah, was the king's representative in all matters concerning the people.

Now as for the villages with their fields, some of the sons of Judah lived in Kiriath-arba and its towns, in Dibon and its towns, and in Jekabzeel and its villages,

ヨシュア，モラダ，ベテ · ペレテ，

ハツァル · シュアル，およびベエル · シェバとそれに屬する村落，

ツィケラグ，およびメコナとそれに屬する村落，

エン · リモン，ツォルア，ヤルムテ，

ザノアハ，アドラムとその村¿，ラキシュとその農地，アゼカとそれに屬する村落．こうして，彼らはベエル · シェバとヒノムの谷の間に住みついた．

and in Jeshua, in Moladah and Beth-pelet,

and in Hazar-shual, in Beersheba and its towns,

and in Ziklag, in Meconah and in its towns,

and in En-rimmon, in Zorah and in Jarmuth,

Zanoah, Adullam, and their villages, Lachish and its fields, Azekah and its towns. So they encamped from Beersheba as far as the valley of Hinnom.

ベニヤミンの子孫は，ゲバから，ミクマス，アヤ，およびベテルとそれに屬する村落，

アナトテ，ノブ，アナネヤ，

ハツォル，ラマ，ギタイム，

ハディデ，ツェボイム，ネバラテ，

ロデとオノ，および職人の谷に住んだ．

The sons of Benjamin also lived from Geba onward, at Michmash and Aija, at Bethel and its towns,

at Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah,

Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim,

Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat,

Lod and Ono, the valley of craftsmen.

レビ人のうち，ユダにいたある組はベニヤミンに加わった．

From the Levites, some divisions in Judah belonged to Benjamin.
