- こういうわけで， 私たちは， 主を 恐れることを 知っているので， 人¿を 說得しようとするのです． 私たちのことは， 神の 御前に 明らかです． しかし， あなたがたの 良心にも 明らかになることが， 私の 望みです．
- 私たちはまたも 自分自身をあなたがたに 推薦しようとするのではありません． ただ， 私たちのことを 誇る 機會をあなたがたに 與えて， 心においてではなく， うわべのことで 誇る 人たちに 答えることができるようにさせたいのです．
- もし 私たちが 氣が 狂っているとすれば， それはただ 神のためであり， もし 正氣であるとすれば， それはただあなたがたのためです．
- というのは， キリスト の 愛が 私たちを 取り 圍んでいるからです． 私たちはこう 考えました． ひとりの 人がすべての 人のために 死んだ 以上， すべての 人が 死んだのです．
- また， キリスト がすべての 人のために 死なれたのは， 生きている 人¿が， もはや 自分のためにではなく， 自分のために 死んでよみがえった 方のために 生きるためなのです．

- Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we persuade men, but we are made manifest to God; and I hope that we are made manifest also in your consciences.
- We are not again commending ourselves to you but are giving you an occasion to be proud of us, so that you will have an answer for those who take pride in appearance and not in heart.

- だれでも キリスト のうちにあるなら， その 人は 新しく 造られた 者です． 古いものは 過ぎ 去って， 見よ， すべてが 新しくなりました．
- これらのことはすべて， 神から 出ているのです． 神は， キリスト によって， 私たちをご 自分と 和解させ， また 和解の 務めを 私たちに 與えてくださいました．
- すなわち， 神は， キリスト にあって， この 世をご 自分と 和解させ， 違反行爲の 責めを 人¿に 負わせないで， 和解のことばを 私たちにゆだねられたのです．
- こういうわけで， 私たちは キリスト の 使節なのです． ちょうど 神が 私たちを 通して 懇願しておられるようです． 私たちは， キリスト に 代わって， あなたがたに 願います． 神の 和解を 受け 入れなさい．

- Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer.

- Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
