- 知惠のある 者のおしえはいのちの 泉， これによって， 死のわなをのがれることができる．

- Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But desire fulfilled is a tree of life.

- The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life, To turn aside from the snares of death.

- すべて 利口な 者は 知識によって 行動し， 愚かな 者は 自分の 愚かさを 言い 廣める．
- 惡い 使者はわざわいに 陷り， 忠實な 使者は 人をいやす．
- 貧乏と 恥とは 訓戒を 無視する 者に 來る． しかし 叱責を 大事にする 者はほめられる．
- 望みがかなえられるのはここちよい． 愚かな 者は 惡から 離れることを 忌みきらう．
