민수기 16:12-17:13

 고라와 다단, 아비람, 온, 그리고 250명의 지도자들이 당을 지어 출애굽 자체를 악평하고 가나안 입성의 실패에 대한 책임을 모세와 아론에게 전가하며 반역을 일으켰다. 이에 하나님께서는 그들을 준엄하게 심판하셨다. 그리고 아론의 마른 지팡이에 싹이 나는 기적을 행하심으로써 아론의 제사장직의 정당성을 확증하셨다.
  
  고라 일당의 반역(16:12-16:50)    
 
  1. Then Moses sent a summons to Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab; but they said, "We will not come up.
  2. "Is it not enough that you have brought us up out of a land flowing with milk and honey to have us die in the wilderness, but you would also lord it over us?
  3. "Indeed, you have not brought us into a land flowing with milk and honey, nor have you given us an inheritance of fields and vineyards Would you put out the eyes of these men? We will not come up!"
  4. Then Moses became very angry and said to the LORD, "Do not regard their offering! I have not taken a single donkey from them, nor have I done harm to any of them."
  5. Moses said to Korah, "You and all your company be present before the LORD tomorrow, both you and they along with Aaron.
  1. 모세가 엘리압의 아들 다단과 아비람을 부르러 보내었더니 그들이 가로되 우리는 올라가지 않겠노라
  2. 네가 우리를 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 땅에서 이끌어 내어 광야에서 죽이려 함이 어찌 작은 일이기에 오히려 스스로 우리 위에 왕이 되려 하느냐
  3. 이뿐 아니라 네가 우리를 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 땅으로 인도하여 들이지도 아니하고 밭도 포도원도 우리에게 기업으로 주지 아니하니 네가 이 사람들의 눈을 빼려느냐 우리는 올라가지 아니하겠노라
  4. 모세가 심히 노하여 여호와께 여짜오되 주는 그들의 예물을 돌아보지 마옵소서 나는 그들의 한 나귀도 취하지 아니하였고 그들의 한 사람도 해하지 아니하였나이다 하고
  5. 이에 고라에게 이르되 너와 너의 온 무리는 아론과 함께 내일 여호와 앞으로 나아오되
  1. "Each of you take his firepan and put incense on it, and each of you bring his censer before the LORD, two hundred and fifty firepans; also you and Aaron shall each bring his firepan."
  2. So they each took his own censer and put fire on it, and laid incense on it; and they stood at the doorway of the tent of meeting, with Moses and Aaron.
  3. Thus Korah assembled all the congregation against them at the doorway of the tent of meeting. And the glory of the LORD appeared to all the congregation.
  4. Then the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying,
  5. "Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them instantly."
  1. 너희는 각기 향로를 잡고 그 위에 향을 두고 각 사람이 그 향로를 여호와 앞으로 가져오라 향로는 모두 이백 오십이라 너와 아론도 각각 향로를 가지고 올찌니라
  2. 그들이 각기 향로를 취하여 불을 담고 향을 그 위에 두고 모세와 아론으로 더불어 회막문에 서니라
  3. 고라가 온 회중을 회막문에 모아 놓고 그 두 사람을 대적하려 하매 여호와의 영광이 온 회중에게 나타나시니라
  4. 여호와께서 모세와 아론에게 일러 가라사대
  5. 너희는 이 회중에게서 떠나라 내가 순식간에 그들을 멸하려 하노라
  1. But they fell on their faces and said, "O God, God of the spirits of all flesh, when one man sins, will You be angry with the entire congregation?"
  2. Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
  3. "Speak to the congregation, saying, 'Get back from around the dwellings of Korah, Dathan and Abiram.'"
  4. Then Moses arose and went to Dathan and Abiram, with the elders of Israel following him,
  5. and he spoke to the congregation, saying, "Depart now from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing that belongs to them, or you will be swept away in all their sin."
  1. 그 두 사람이 엎드려 가로되 하나님이여 모든 육체의 생명의 하나님이여 한 사람이 범죄하였거늘 온 회중에게 진노하시나이까
  2. 여호와께서 모세에게 일러 가라사대
  3. 회중에게 명하여 이르기를 너희는 고라와 다단과 아비람의 장막 사면에서 떠나라 하라
  4. 모세가 일어나 다단과 아비람에게로 가니 이스라엘 장로들이 좇았더라
  5. 모세가 회중에게 일러 가로되 이 악인들의 장막에서 떠나고 그들의 물건은 아무 것도 만지지 말라 그들의 모든 죄중에서 너희도 멸망할까 두려워 하노라 하매
  1. So they got back from around the dwellings of Korah, Dathan and Abiram; and Dathan and Abiram came out and stood at the doorway of their tents, along with their wives and their sons and their little ones.
  2. Moses said, "By this you shall know that the LORD has sent me to do all these deeds; for this is not my doing.
  3. "If these men die the death of all men or if they suffer the fate of all men, then the LORD has not sent me.
  4. "But if the LORD brings about an entirely new thing and the ground opens its mouth and swallows them up with all that is theirs, and they descend alive into Sheol, then you will understand that these men have spurned the LORD."
  5. As he finished speaking all these words, the ground that was under them split open;
  1. 무리가 고라와 다단과 아비람의 장막 사면을 떠나고 다단과 아비람은 그 처자와 유아들과 함께 나와서 자기 장막문에 선지라
  2. 모세가 가로되 여호와께서 나를 보내사 이 모든 일을 행케 하신 것이요 나의 임의로 함이 아닌줄을 이 일로 인하여 알리라
  3. 곧 이 사람들의 죽음이 모든 사람과 일반이요 그들의 당하는 벌이 모든 사람의 당하는 벌과 일반이면 여호와께서 나를 보내심이 아니어니와
  4. 만일 여호와께서 새 일을 행하사 땅으로 입을 열어 이 사람들과 그들의 모든 소속을 삼켜 산채로 음부에 빠지게 하시면 이 사람들이 과연 여호와를 멸시한 것인줄을 너희가 알리라
  5. 이 모든 말을 마치는 동시에 그들의 밑의 땅이 갈라지니라
  1. and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, and their households, and all the men who belonged to Korah with their possessions.
  2. So they and all that belonged to them went down alive to Sheol; and the earth closed over them, and they perished from the midst of the assembly.
  3. All Israel who were around them fled at their outcry, for they said, "The earth may swallow us up!"
  4. Fire also came forth from the LORD and consumed the two hundred and fifty men who were offering the incense.
  5. Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
  1. 땅이 그 입을 열어 그들과 그 가족과 고라에게 속한 모든 사람과 그 물건을 삼키매
  2. 그들과 그 모든 소속이 산채로 음부에 빠지며 땅이 그 위에 합하니 그들이 총회 중에서 망하니라
  3. 그 주위에 있는 온 이스라엘이 그들의 부르짖음을 듣고 도망하며 가로되 땅이 우리도 삼킬까 두렵다 하였고
  4. 여호와께로서 불이 나와서 분향하는 이백 오십인을 소멸하였더라
  5. 여호와께서 모세에게 일러 가라사대
  1. "Say to Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, that he shall take up the censers out of the midst of the blaze, for they are holy; and you scatter the burning coals abroad.
  2. "As for the censers of these men who have sinned at the cost of their lives, let them be made into hammered sheets for a plating of the altar, since they did present them before the LORD and they are holy; and they shall be for a sign to the sons of Israel."
  3. So Eleazar the priest took the bronze censers which the men who were burned had offered, and they hammered them out as a plating for the altar,
  4. as a reminder to the sons of Israel that no layman who is not of the descendants of Aaron should come near to burn incense before the LORD; so that he will not become like Korah and his company--just as the LORD had spoken to him through Moses.
  5. But on the next day all the congregation of the sons of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron, saying, "You are the ones who have caused the death of the LORD'S people."
  1. 너는 제사장 아론의 아들 엘르아살을 명하여 붙는 불 가운데서 향로를 취하여다가 그 불을 타처에 쏟으라 그 향로는 거룩함이니라
  2. 사람들은 범죄하여 그 생명을 스스로 해하였거니와 그들이 향로를 여호와 앞에 드렸으므로 그 향로가 거룩하게 되었나니 그 향로를 쳐서 제단을 싸는 편철을 만들라 이스라엘 자손에게 표가 되리라 하신지라
  3. 제사장 엘르아살이 불탄 자들의 드렸던 놋 향로를 취하여 쳐서 제단을 싸서
  4. 이스라엘 자손의 기념물이 되게 하였으니 이는 아론 자손이 아닌 외인은 여호와 앞에 분향하러 가까이 오지 못하게 함이며 또 고라와 그 무리와 같이 되지 않게 하기 위함이라 여호와께서 모세로 그에게 명하신대로 하였더라
  5. 이튿날 이스라엘 자손의 온 회중이 모세와 아론을 원망하여 가로되 너희가 여호와의 백성을 죽였도다 하고
  1. It came about, however, when the congregation had assembled against Moses and Aaron, that they turned toward the tent of meeting, and behold, the cloud covered it and the glory of the LORD appeared.
  2. Then Moses and Aaron came to the front of the tent of meeting,
  3. and the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
  4. "Get away from among this congregation, that I may consume them instantly." Then they fell on their faces.
  5. Moses said to Aaron, "Take your censer and put in it fire from the altar, and lay incense on it; then bring it quickly to the congregation and make atonement for them, for wrath has gone forth from the LORD, the plague has begun!"
  1. 회중이 모여 모세와 아론을 칠 때에 회막을 바라본즉 구름이 회막을 덮었고 여호와의 영광이 나타났더라
  2. 모세와 아론이 회막 앞에 이르매
  3. 여호와께서 모세에게 일러 가라사대
  4. 너희는 이 회중에게서 떠나라 내가 순식간에 그들을 멸하려 하노라 하시매 그 두 사람이 엎드리니라
  5. 이에 모세가 아론에게 이르되 너는 향로를 취하고 단의 불을 그것에 담고 그 위에 향을 두어가지고 급히 회중에게로 가서 그들을 위하여 속죄하라 여호와께서 진노하셨으므로 염병이 시작되었음이니라
  1. Then Aaron took it as Moses had spoken, and ran into the midst of the assembly, for behold, the plague had begun among the people. So he put on the incense and made atonement for the people.
  2. He took his stand between the dead and the living, so that the plague was checked.
  3. But those who died by the plague were 14,700, besides those who died on account of Korah.
  4. Then Aaron returned to Moses at the doorway of the tent of meeting, for the plague had been checked.
  1. 아론이 모세의 명을 좇아 향로를 가지고 회중에게로 달려 간즉 백성 중에 염병이 시작되었는지라 이에 백성을 위하여 속죄하고
  2. 죽은 자와 산 자 사이에 섰을 때에 염병이 그치니라
  3. 고라의 일로 죽은 자 외에 염병에 죽은 자가 일만 사천 칠백명이었더라
  4. 염병이 그치매 아론이 회막문 모세에게로 돌아오니라
 
  아론의 싹난 지팡이(17:1-17:13)    
 
  1. Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
  2. "Speak to the sons of Israel, and get from them a rod for each father's household: twelve rods, from all their leaders according to their fathers' households. You shall write each name on his rod,
  3. and write Aaron's name on the rod of Levi; for there is one rod for the head of each of their fathers' households.
  4. "You shall then deposit them in the tent of meeting in front of the testimony, where I meet with you.
  5. "It will come about that the rod of the man whom I choose will sprout. Thus I will lessen from upon Myself the grumblings of the sons of Israel, who are grumbling against you."
  1. 여호와께서 모세에게 일러 가라사대
  2. 너는 이스라엘 자손에게 고하여 그들 중에서 각 종족을 따라 지팡이 하나씩 취하되 곧 그들의 종족대로 그 모든 족장에게서 지팡이 열 둘을 취하고 그 사람들의 이름을 각각 그 지팡이에 쓰되
  3. 레위의 지팡이에는 아론의 이름을 쓰라 이는 그들의 종족의 각 두령이 지팡이 하나씩 있어야 할 것임이니라
  4. 그 지팡이를 회막 안에서 내가 너희와 만나는 곳인 증거궤 앞에 두라
  5. 내가 택한 자의 지팡이에는 싹이 나리니 이것으로 이스라엘 자손이 너희를 대하여 원망하는 말을 내 앞에서 그치게 하리라
  1. Moses therefore spoke to the sons of Israel, and all their leaders gave him a rod apiece, for each leader according to their fathers' households, twelve rods, with the rod of Aaron among their rods.
  2. So Moses deposited the rods before the LORD in the tent of the testimony.
  3. Now on the next day Moses went into the tent of the testimony; and behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi had sprouted and put forth buds and produced blossoms, and it bore ripe almonds.
  4. Moses then brought out all the rods from the presence of the LORD to all the sons of Israel; and they looked, and each man took his rod.
  5. But the LORD said to Moses, "Put back the rod of Aaron before the testimony to be kept as a sign against the rebels, that you may put an end to their grumblings against Me, so that they will not die."
  1. 모세가 이스라엘 자손에게 고하매 그 족장들이 각기 종족대로 지팡이 하나씩 그에게 주었으니 그 지팡이 합이 열 둘이라 그 중에 아론의 지팡이가 있었더라
  2. 모세가 그 지팡이들을 증거의 장막 안 여호와 앞에 두었더라
  3. 이튿날 모세가 증거의 장막에 들어가 본즉 레위 집을 위하여 낸 아론의 지팡이에 움이 돋고 순이 나고 꽃이 피어서 살구 열매가 열렸더라
  4. 모세가 그 지팡이 전부를 여호와 앞에서 이스라엘 모든 자손에게로 취하여 내매 그들이 보고 각각 자기 지팡이를 취하였더라
  5. 여호와께서 또 모세에게 이르시되 아론의 지팡이는 증거궤 앞으로 도로 가져다가 거기 간직하여 패역한 자에 대한 표징이 되게 하여 그들로 내게 대한 원망을 그치고 죽지 않게 할찌니라
  1. Thus Moses did; just as the LORD had commanded him, so he did.
  2. Then the sons of Israel spoke to Moses, saying, "Behold, we perish, we are dying, we are all dying!
  3. "Everyone who comes near, who comes near to the tabernacle of the LORD, must die. Are we to perish completely?"
  1. 모세가 곧 그 같이 하되 여호와께서 자기에게 명하신대로 하였더라
  2. 이스라엘 자손이 모세에게 말하여 가로되 보소서 우리는 죽게 되었나이다 망하게 되었나이다 다 망하게 되었나이다
  3. 가까이 나아가는 자 곧 여호와의 성막에 가까이 나아가는 자마다 다 죽사오니 우리가 다 망하여야 하리이까
