신명기 24:1-26:11

 모세는 일상 생활과 관련된 여러 가지 율법들을 제시하면서, 특별히 가난한 자들에 대한 배려를 잊지 말 것을 권고했다. 그리고 범법자에 대한 처벌은 경중을 따져 적절히 시행할 것과, 상거래에 있어 정당한 저울 추를 사용할 것과, 아말렉을 도말할 것을 명령했다. 또한 가나안 정착 후 땅의 첫 소산물을 하나님께 드리며 신앙을 고백하라고 명했다.
  
  가정사에 대한 규례(24:1-24:22)    
 
  1. "When a man takes a wife and marries her, and it happens that she finds no favor in his eyes because he has found some indecency in her, and he writes her a certificate of divorce and puts it in her hand and sends her out from his house,
  2. and she leaves his house and goes and becomes another man's wife,
  3. and if the latter husband turns against her and writes her a certificate of divorce and puts it in her hand and sends her out of his house, or if the latter husband dies who took her to be his wife,
  4. then her former husband who sent her away is not allowed to take her again to be his wife, since she has been defiled; for that is an abomination before the LORD, and you shall not bring sin on the land which the LORD your God gives you as an inheritance.
  5. "When a man takes a new wife, he shall not go out with the army nor be charged with any duty; he shall be free at home one year and shall give happiness to his wife whom he has taken.
  1. 사람이 아내를 취하여 데려온 후에 수치되는 일이 그에게 있음을 발견하고 그를 기뻐하지 아니하거든 이혼 증서를 써서 그 손에 주고 그를 자기 집에서 내어 보낼 것이요
  2. 그 여자는 그 집에서 나가서 다른 사람의 아내가 되려니와
  3. 그 후부도 그를 미워하여 이혼 증서를 써서 그 손에 주고 그를 자기 집에서 내어 보내었거나 혹시 그를 아내로 취한 후부가 죽었다 하자
  4. 그 여자가 이미 몸을 더럽혔은즉 그를 내어 보낸 전부가 그를 다시 아내로 취하지 말찌니 이 일은 여호와 앞에 가증한 것이라 네 하나님 여호와께서 네게 기업으로 주시는 땅으로 너는 범죄케 하지 말찌니라
  5. 사람이 새로이 아내를 취하였거든 그를 군대로 내어 보내지 말 것이요 무슨 직무든지 그에게 맡기지 말것이며 그는 일년 동안 집에 한가히 거하여 그 취한 아내를 즐겁게 할찌니라
  1. "No one shall take a handmill or an upper millstone in pledge, for he would be taking a life in pledge.
  2. "If a man is caught kidnapping any of his countrymen of the sons of Israel, and he deals with him violently or sells him, then that thief shall die; so you shall purge the evil from among you.
  3. "Be careful against an infection of leprosy, that you diligently observe and do according to all that the Levitical priests teach you; as I have commanded them, so you shall be careful to do.
  4. "Remember what the LORD your God did to Miriam on the way as you came out of Egypt.
  5. "When you make your neighbor a loan of any sort, you shall not enter his house to take his pledge.
  1. 사람이 맷돌의 전부나 그 위짝만이나 전집하지 말찌니 이는 그 생명을 전집함이니라
  2. 사람이 자기 형제 곧 이스라엘 자손 중 한 사람을 후려다가 그를 부리거나 판 것이 발견되거든 그 후린 자를 죽일찌니 이같이 하여 너의 중에 악을 제할찌니라
  3. 너는 문둥병에 대하여 삼가서 레위 사람 제사장들이 너희에게 가르치는 대로 네가 힘써 다 행하되 곧 내가 그들에게 명한대로 너희는 주의하여 행하라
  4. 너희가 애굽에서 나오는 길에서 네 하나님 여호와께서 미리암에게 행하신 일을 기억할찌니라
  5. 무릇 네 이웃에게 꾸어줄 때에 네가 그 집에 들어가서 전집물을 취하지 말고
  1. "You shall remain outside, and the man to whom you make the loan shall bring the pledge out to you.
  2. "If he is a poor man, you shall not sleep with his pledge.
  3. "When the sun goes down you shall surely return the pledge to him, that he may sleep in his cloak and bless you; and it will be righteousness for you before the LORD your God.
  4. "You shall not oppress a hired servant who is poor and needy, whether he is one of your countrymen or one of your aliens who is in your land in your towns.
  5. "You shall give him his wages on his day before the sun sets, for he is poor and sets his heart on it; so that he will not cry against you to the LORD and it become sin in you.
  1. 너는 밖에 섰고 네게 꾸는 자가 전집물을 가지고 나와서 네게 줄 것이며
  2. 그가 가난한 자여든 너는 그의 전집물을 가지고 자지 말고
  3. 해 질 때에 그 전집물을 반드시 그에게 돌릴 것이라 그리하면 그가 그 옷을 입고 자며 너를 위하여 축복하리니 그 일이 네 하나님 여호와 앞에서 네 의로움이 되리라
  4. 곤궁하고 빈한한 품군은 너의 형제든지 네 땅 성문 안에 우거하는 객이든지 그를 학대하지 말며
  5. 그 품삯을 당일에 주고 해진 후까지 끌지 말라 이는 그가 빈궁하므로 마음에 품삯을 사모함이라 두렵건대 그가 너를 여호와께 호소하면 죄가 네게로 돌아갈까 하노라
  1. "Fathers shall not be put to death for their sons, nor shall sons be put to death for their fathers; everyone shall be put to death for his own sin.
  2. "You shall not pervert the justice due an alien or an orphan, nor take a widow's garment in pledge.
  3. "But you shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt, and that the LORD your God redeemed you from there; therefore I am commanding you to do this thing.
  4. "When you reap your harvest in your field and have forgotten a sheaf in the field, you shall not go back to get it; it shall be for the alien, for the orphan, and for the widow, in order that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.
  5. "When you beat your olive tree, you shall not go over the boughs again; it shall be for the alien, for the orphan, and for the widow.
  1. 아비는 그 자식들을 인하여 죽임을 당치 않을 것이요 자식들은 그 아비를 인하여 죽임을 당치 않을 것이라 각 사람은 자기 죄에 죽임을 당할 것이니라
  2. 너는 객이나 고아의 송사를 억울하게 말며 과부의 옷을 전집하지 말라
  3. 너는 애굽에서 종이 되었던 일과 네 하나님 여호와께서 너를 거기서 속량하신 것을 기억하라 이러므로 내가 네게 이 일을 행하라 명하노라
  4. 네가 밭에서 곡식을 벨 때에 그 한 뭇을 밭에 잊어버렸거든 다시 가서 취하지 말고 객과 고아와 과부를 위하여 버려두라 그리하면 네 하나님 여호와께서 네 손으로 하는 범사에 복을 내리시리라
  5. 네가 네 감람나무를 떤 후에 그 가지를 다시 살피지 말고 그 남은 것은 객과 고아와 과부를 위하여 버려두며
  1. "When you gather the grapes of your vineyard, you shall not go over it again; it shall be for the alien, for the orphan, and for the widow.
  2. "You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt; therefore I am commanding you to do this thing.
  1. 네가 네 포도원의 포도를 딴 후에 그 남은 것을 다시 따지 말고 객과 고아와 과부를 위하여 버려두라
  2. 너는 애굽 땅에서 종 되었던 것을 기억하라 이러므로 내가 네게 이 일을 행하라 명하노라
 
  인간 관계에 대한 규례(25:1-25:19)    
 
  1. "If there is a dispute between men and they go to court, and the judges decide their case, and they justify the righteous and condemn the wicked,
  2. then it shall be if the wicked man deserves to be beaten, the judge shall then make him lie down and be beaten in his presence with the number of stripes according to his guilt.
  3. "He may beat him forty times but no more, so that he does not beat him with many more stripes than these and your brother is not degraded in your eyes.
  4. "You shall not muzzle the ox while he is threshing.
  5. "When brothers live together and one of them dies and has no son, the wife of the deceased shall not be married outside the family to a strange man. Her husband's brother shall go in to her and take her to himself as wife and perform the duty of a husband's brother to her.
  1. 사람과 사람 사이에 시비가 생겨서 재판을 청하거든 재판장은 그들을 재판하여 의인은 의롭다 하고 악인은 정죄할 것이며
  2. 악인에게 태형이 합당하거든 재판장은 그를 엎드리게 하고 그 죄의 경중대로 여수히 자기 앞에서 때리게 하라
  3. 사십까지는 때리려니와 그것을 넘기지는 못할찌니 만일 그것을 넘겨 과다히 때리면 네가 네 형제로 천히 여김을 받게 할까 하노라
  4. 곡식 떠는 소의 입에 망을 씌우지 말찌니라
  5. 형제가 동거하는데 그 중 하나가 죽고 아들이 없거든 그 죽은 자의 아내는 나가서 타인에게 시집가지 말 것이요 그 남편의 형제가 그에게로 들어가서 그를 취하여 아내를 삼아 그의 남편의 형제 된 의무를 그에게 다 행할 것이요
  1. "It shall be that the firstborn whom she bears shall assume the name of his dead brother, so that his name will not be blotted out from Israel.
  2. "But if the man does not desire to take his brother's wife, then his brother's wife shall go up to the gate to the elders and say, 'My husband's brother refuses to establish a name for his brother in Israel; he is not willing to perform the duty of a husband's brother to me.'
  3. "Then the elders of his city shall summon him and speak to him. And if he persists and says, 'I do not desire to take her,'
  4. then his brother's wife shall come to him in the sight of the elders, and pull his sandal off his foot and spit in his face; and she shall declare, 'Thus it is done to the man who does not build up his brother's house.'
  5. "In Israel his name shall be called, 'The house of him whose sandal is removed.'
  1. 그 여인의 낳은 첫 아들로 그 죽은 형제의 후사를 잇게 하여 그 이름을 이스라엘 중에서 끊어지지 않게 할 것이니라
  2. 그러나 그 사람이 만일 그 형제의 아내 취하기를 즐겨하지 아니하거든 그 형제의 아내는 그 성문 장로들에게로 나아가서 말하기를 내 남편의 형제가 그 형제의 이름을 이스라엘 중에 잇기를 싫어하여 남편의 형제된 의무를 내게 행치 아니하나이다 할 것이요
  3. 그 성읍 장로들은 그를 불러다가 이를 것이며 그가 이미 정한 뜻대로 말하기를 내가 그 여자 취하기를 즐겨 아니하노라 하거든
  4. 그 형제의 아내가 장로들 앞에서 그에게 나아가서 그의 발에서 신을 벗기고 그 얼굴에 침을 뱉으며 이르기를 그 형제의 집 세우기를 즐겨 아니하는 자에게는 이같이 할 것이라 할 것이며
  5. 이스라엘 중에서 그의 이름을 신 벗기운 자의 집이라 칭할 것이니라
  1. "If two men, a man and his countryman, are struggling together, and the wife of one comes near to deliver her husband from the hand of the one who is striking him, and puts out her hand and seizes his genitals,
  2. then you shall cut off her hand; you shall not show pity.
  3. "You shall not have in your bag differing weights, a large and a small.
  4. "You shall not have in your house differing measures, a large and a small.
  5. "You shall have a full and just weight; you shall have a full and just measure, that your days may be prolonged in the land which the LORD your God gives you.
  1. 두 사람이 서로 싸울 때에 한 사람의 아내가 그 남편을 그 치는 자의 손에서 구하려 하여 가까이 가서 손을 벌려 그 사람의 음낭을 잡거든
  2. 너는 그 여인의 손을 찍어 버릴 것이고 네 눈이 그를 불쌍히 보지 말찌니라
  3. 너는 주머니에 같지 않은 저울추 곧 큰 것과 작은 것을 넣지 말 것이며
  4. 네 집에 같지 않은 되 곧 큰 것과 작은 것을 두지 말 것이요
  5. 오직 십분 공정한 저울추를 두며 십분 공정한 되를 둘 것이라 그리하면 네 하나님 여호와께서 네게 주시는 땅에서 네 날이 장구하리라
  1. "For everyone who does these things, everyone who acts unjustly is an abomination to the LORD your God.
  2. "Remember what Amalek did to you along the way when you came out from Egypt,
  3. how he met you along the way and attacked among you all the stragglers at your rear when you were faint and weary; and he did not fear God.
  4. "Therefore it shall come about when the LORD your God has given you rest from all your surrounding enemies, in the land which the LORD your God gives you as an inheritance to possess, you shall blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven; you must not forget.
  1. 무릇 이같이 하는자, 무릇 부정당히 행하는 자는 네 하나님 여호와께 가증하니라
  2. 너희가 애굽에서 나오는 길에 아말렉이 네게 행한 일을 기억하라
  3. 곧 그들이 하나님을 두려워하지 아니하고 너를 길에서 만나 너의 피곤함을 타서 네 뒤에 떨어진 약한 자들을 쳤느니라
  4. 그러므로 네 하나님 여호와께서 네게 주어 기업으로 얻게 하시는 땅에서 네 하나님 여호와께서 너로 사면에 있는 모든 대적을 벗어나게 하시고 네게 안식을 주실 때에 너는 아말렉의 이름을 천하에서 도말할찌니라 너는 잊지 말찌니라
 
  맏물을 바치는 신앙 고백(26:1-26:11)    
 
  1. "Then it shall be, when you enter the land which the LORD your God gives you as an inheritance, and you possess it and live in it,
  2. that you shall take some of the first of all the produce of the ground which you bring in from your land that the LORD your God gives you, and you shall put it in a basket and go to the place where the LORD your God chooses to establish His name.
  3. "You shall go to the priest who is in office at that time and say to him, 'I declare this day to the LORD my God that I have entered the land which the LORD swore to our fathers to give us.'
  4. "Then the priest shall take the basket from your hand and set it down before the altar of the LORD your God.
  5. "You shall answer and say before the LORD your God, 'My father was a wandering Aramean, and he went down to Egypt and sojourned there, few in number; but there he became a great, mighty and populous nation.
  1. 네 하나님 여호와께서 네게 기업으로 주사 얻게 하시는 땅에 네가 들어가서 거기 거할 때에
  2. 네 하나님 여호와께서 네게 주시는 땅에서 그 토지 모든 소산의 맏물을 거둔 후에 그것을 취하여 광주리에 담고 네 하나님 여호와께서 그 이름을 두시려고 택하신 곳으로 그것을 가지고 가서
  3. 당시 제사장에게 나아가서 그에게 이르기를 내가 오늘날 당신의 하나님 여호와께 고하나이다 내가 여호와께서 우리에게 주리라고 우리 열조에게 맹세하신 땅에 이르렀나이다 할 것이요
  4. 제사장은 네 손에서 그 광주리를 취하여다가 네 하나님 여호와의 단 앞에 놓을 것이며
  5. 너는 또 네 하나님 여호와 앞에 아뢰기를 내 조상은 유리하는 아람 사람으로서 소수의 사람을 거느리고 애굽에 내려가서 거기 우거하여 필경은 거기서 크고 강하고 번성한 민족이 되었더니
  1. 'And the Egyptians treated us harshly and afflicted us, and imposed hard labor on us.
  2. 'Then we cried to the LORD, the God of our fathers, and the LORD heard our voice and saw our affliction and our toil and our oppression;
  3. and the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm and with great terror and with signs and wonders;
  4. and He has brought us to this place and has given us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.
  5. 'Now behold, I have brought the first of the produce of the ground which You, O LORD have given me.' And you shall set it down before the LORD your God, and worship before the LORD your God;
  1. 애굽 사람이 우리를 학대하며 우리를 괴롭게 하며 우리에게 중역을 시키므로
  2. 우리가 우리 조상의 하나님 여호와께 부르짖었더니 여호와께서 우리 음성을 들으시고 우리의 고통과 신고와 압제를 하감하시고
  3. 여호와께서 강한 손과 편 팔과 큰 위엄과 이적과 기사로 우리를 애굽에서 인도하여 내시고
  4. 이곳으로 인도하사 이 땅 곧 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 땅을 주셨나이다
  5. 여호와여 이제 내가 주께서 내게 주신 토지 소산의 맏물을 가져왔나이다 하고 너는 그것을 네 하나님 여호와 앞에 두고 네 하나님 여호와 앞에 경배할 것이며
  1. and you and the Levite and the alien who is among you shall rejoice in all the good which the LORD your God has given you and your household.
  1. 네 하나님 여호와께서 너와 네 집에 주신 모든 복을 인하여 너는 레위인과 너의 중에 우거하는 객과 함께 즐거워할찌니라
