- Hear my voice, O God, in my complaint; Preserve my life from dread of the enemy.
- Hide me from the secret counsel of evildoers, From the tumult of those who do iniquity,
- Who have sharpened their tongue like a sword They aimed bitter speech as their arrow,
- To shoot from concealment at the blameless; Suddenly they shoot at him, and do not fear.
- They hold fast to themselves an evil purpose; They talk of laying snares secretly; They say, "Who can see them?"

- 저희가 칼 같이 자기 혀를 연마하며 화살 같이 독한 말로 겨누고
- 숨은 곳에서 완전한 자를 쏘려 하다가 갑자기 쏘고 두려워하지 않도다
- 저희는 악한 목적으로 서로 장려하며 비밀히 올무 놓기를 함께 의논하고 하는 말이 누가 보리요 하며
