열왕기상 3:1-4:34

 일천 번제를 드리며 헌신을 다짐하는 솔로몬에게 하나님께서는 그가 구한 지혜와 함께 부와 영광도 주셨다. 솔로몬은 인재를 등용해 신하로 삼고 각지방을 다스리는 12장관을 세움으로써 평화롭고 부강한 왕국을 이루어 나갔다. 이러한 솔로몬의 지혜와 부요함은 세상에 널리 알려졌다.
  
  솔로몬의 지혜(3:1-3:28)    
 
  1. Then Solomon formed a marriage alliance with Pharaoh king of Egypt, and took Pharaoh's daughter and brought her to the city of David until he had finished building his own house and the house of the LORD and the wall around Jerusalem.
  2. The people were still sacrificing on the high places, because there was no house built for the name of the LORD until those days.
  3. Now Solomon loved the LORD, walking in the statutes of his father David, except he sacrificed and burned incense on the high places.
  4. The king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there, for that was the great high place; Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings on that altar.
  5. In Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream at night; and God said, "Ask what you wish me to give you."
  1. 솔로몬이 애굽 왕 바로로 더불어 인연을 맺어 그 딸을 취하고 데려다가 다윗성에 두고 자기의 궁과 여호와의 전과 예루살렘 주위의 성이 필역되기를 기다리니라
  2. 그 때까지 여호와의 이름을 위하여 전을 아직 건축하지 아니하였으므로 백성들이 산당에서 제사하며
  3. 솔로몬이 여호와를 사랑하고 그 부친 다윗의 법도를 행하되 오히려 산당에서 제사하며 분향하더라
  4. 이에 왕이 제사하러 기브온으로 가니 거기는 산당이 큼이라 솔로몬이 그 단에 일천 번제를 드렸더니
  5. 기브온에서 밤에 여호와께서 솔로몬의 꿈에 나타나시니라 하나님이 이르시되 내가 네게 무엇을 줄꼬 너는 구하라
  1. Then Solomon said, "You have shown great lovingkindness to Your servant David my father, according as he walked before You in truth and righteousness and uprightness of heart toward You; and You have reserved for him this great lovingkindness, that You have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.
  2. "Now, O LORD my God, You have made Your servant king in place of my father David, yet I am but a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in.
  3. "Your servant is in the midst of Your people which You have chosen, a great people who are too many to be numbered or counted.
  4. "So give Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people to discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?"
  5. It was pleasing in the sight of the Lord that Solomon had asked this thing.
  1. 솔로몬이 가로되 주의 종 내 아비 다윗이 성실과 공의와 정직한 마음으로 주와 함께 주의 앞에서 행하므로 주께서 저에게 큰 은혜를 베푸셨고 주께서 또 저를 위하여 이 큰 은혜를 예비하시고 오늘날과 같이 저의 위에 앉을 아들을 저에게 주셨나이다
  2. 나의 하나님 여호와여 주께서 종으로 종의 아비 다윗을 대신하여 왕이 되게 하셨사오나 종은 작은 아이라 출입할줄을 알지 못하고
  3. 주의 빼신 백성 가운데 있나이다 저희는 큰 백성이라 수효가 많아서 셀 수도 없고 기록할 수도 없사오니
  4. 누가 주의 이 많은 백성을 재판할 수 있사오리이까 지혜로운 마음을 종에게 주사 주의 백성을 재판하여 선악을 분별하게 하옵소서
  5. 솔로몬이 이것을 구하매 그 말씀이 주의 마음에 맞은지라
  1. God said to him, "Because you have asked this thing and have not asked for yourself long life, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have you asked for the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself discernment to understand justice,
  2. behold, I have done according to your words Behold, I have given you a wise and discerning heart, so that there has been no one like you before you, nor shall one like you arise after you.
  3. "I have also given you what you have not asked, both riches and honor, so that there will not be any among the kings like you all your days.
  4. "If you walk in My ways, keeping My statutes and commandments, as your father David walked, then I will prolong your days."
  5. Then Solomon awoke, and behold, it was a dream And he came to Jerusalem and stood before the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and offered burnt offerings and made peace offerings, and made a feast for all his servants.
  1. 이에 하나님이 저에게 이르시되 네가 이것을 구하도다 자기를 위하여 수도 구하지 아니하며 부도 구하지 아니하며 자기의 원수의 생명 멸하기도 구하지 아니하고 오직 송사를 듣고 분별하는 지혜를 구하였은즉
  2. 내가 네 말대로 하여 네게 지혜롭고 총명한 마음을 주노니 너의 전에도 너와 같은 자가 없었거니와 너의 후에도 너와 같은 자가 일어남이 없으리라
  3. 내가 또 너의 구하지 아니한 부와 영광도 네게 주노니 네 평생에 열왕 중에 너와 같은 자가 없을 것이라
  4. 네가 만일 네 아비 다윗의 행함 같이 내 길로 행하며 내 법도와 명령을 지키면 내가 또 네 날을 길게 하리라
  5. 솔로몬이 깨어보니 꿈이더라 이에 예루살렘에 이르러 여호와의 언약궤 앞에 서서 번제와 수은제를 드리고 모든 신복을 위하여 잔치하였더라
  1. Then two women who were harlots came to the king and stood before him.
  2. The one woman said, "Oh, my lord, this woman and I live in the same house; and I gave birth to a child while she was in the house.
  3. "It happened on the third day after I gave birth, that this woman also gave birth to a child, and we were together. There was no stranger with us in the house, only the two of us in the house.
  4. "This woman's son died in the night, because she lay on it.
  5. "So she arose in the middle of the night and took my son from beside me while your maidservant slept, and laid him in her bosom, and laid her dead son in my bosom.
  1. 때에 창기 두 계집이 왕에게 와서 그 앞에 서며
  2. 한 계집은 말하되 내 주여 나와 이 계집이 한 집에서 사는데 내가 저와 함께 집에 있으며 아이를 낳았더니
  3. 나의 해산한지 삼일에 이 계집도 해산하고 우리가 함께 있었고 우리 둘 외에는 집에 다른 사람이 없었나이다
  4. 그런데 밤에 저 계집이 그 아들 위에 누우므로 그 아들이 죽으니
  5. 저가 밤중에 일어나서 계집종 나의 잠든 사이에 내 아들을 내 곁에서 가져다가 자기의 품에 누이고 자기의 죽은 아들을 내 품에 뉘었나이다
  1. "When I rose in the morning to nurse my son, behold, he was dead; but when I looked at him carefully in the morning, behold, he was not my son, whom I had borne."
  2. Then the other woman said, "No! For the living one is my son, and the dead one is your son." But the first woman said, "No! For the dead one is your son, and the living one is my son." Thus they spoke before the king.
  3. Then the king said, "The one says, 'This is my son who is living, and your son is the dead one'; and the other says, 'No! For your son is the dead one, and my son is the living one.'"
  4. The king said, "Get me a sword." So they brought a sword before the king.
  5. The king said, "Divide the living child in two, and give half to the one and half to the other."
  1. 미명에 내가 내 아들을 젖 먹이려고 일어나 본즉 죽었기로 내가 아침에 자세히 보니 내가 낳은 아들이 아니더이다 하매
  2. 다른 계집은 이르되 아니라 산 것은 내 아들이요 죽은 것은 네 아들이라 하고 이 계집은 이르되 아니라 죽은 것이 네 아들이요 산 것이 내 아들이라 하며 왕 앞에서 그와 같이 쟁론하는지라
  3. 왕이 가로되 이는 말하기를 산 것은 내 아들이요 죽은 것은 네 아들이라 하고 저는 말하기를 아니라 죽은 것이 네 아들이요 산 것이 내 아들이라 하는도다 하고
  4. 또 가로되 칼을 내게로 가져오라 하니 칼을 왕의 앞으로 가져온지라
  5. 왕이 이르되 산 아들을 둘에 나눠 반은 이에게 주고 반은 저에게 주라
  1. Then the woman whose child was the living one spoke to the king, for she was deeply stirred over her son and said, "Oh, my lord, give her the living child, and by no means kill him." But the other said, "He shall be neither mine nor yours; divide him!"
  2. Then the king said, "Give the first woman the living child, and by no means kill him. She is his mother."
  3. When all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had handed down, they feared the king, for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him to administer justice.
  1. 그 산 아들의 어미되는 계집이 그 아들을 위하여 마음이 불붙는것 같아서 왕께 아뢰어 가로되 청컨대 내 주여 산 아들을 저에게 주시고 아무쪼록 죽이지 마옵소서 하되 한 계집은 말하기를 내 것도 되게 말고 네 것도 되게 말고 나누게 하라 하는지라
  2. 왕이 대답하여 가로되 산 아들을 저 계집에게 주고 결코 죽이지 말라 저가 그 어미니라 하매
  3. 온 이스라엘이 왕의 심리하여 판결함을 듣고 왕을 두려워하였으니 이는 하나님의 지혜가 저의 속에 있어 판결함을 봄이더라
 
  솔로몬의 번영(4:1-4:34)    
 
  1. Now King Solomon was king over all Israel.
  2. These were his officials: Azariah the son of Zadok was the priest;
  3. Elihoreph and Ahijah, the sons of Shisha were secretaries; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was the recorder;
  4. and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the army; and Zadok and Abiathar were priests;
  5. and Azariah the son of Nathan was over the deputies; and Zabud the son of Nathan, a priest, was the king's friend;
  1. 솔로몬왕이 온 이스라엘의 왕이 되었고
  2. 그의 신하들은 이러하니라 사독의 아들 아사리아는 제사장이요
  3. 시사의 아들 엘리호렙과 아히야는 서기관이요 아힐룻의 아들 여호사밧은 사관이요
  4. 여호야다의 아들 브나야는 군대장관이요 사독과 아비아달은 제사장이요
  5. 나단의 아들 아사리아는 관리장이요 나단의 아들 사붓은 대신이니 왕의 벗이요
  1. and Ahishar was over the household; and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the men subject to forced labor.
  2. Solomon had twelve deputies over all Israel, who provided for the king and his household; each man had to provide for a month in the year.
  3. These are their names: Ben-hur, in the hill country of Ephraim;
  4. Ben-deker in Makaz and Shaalbim and Beth-shemesh and Elonbeth-hanan;
  5. Ben-hesed, in Arubboth (Socoh was his and all the land of Hepher);
  1. 아히살은 궁내대신이요 압다의 아들 아도니람은 감역관이더라
  2. 솔로몬이 또 온 이스라엘 위에 열 두 관장을 두매 그 사람들이 왕과 왕실을 위하여 식물을 예비하되 각기 일년에 한달씩 식물을 예비하였으니
  3. 그 이름은 이러하니라 에브라임 산지에는 벤훌이요
  4. 마가스와 사알빔과 벧세메스와 엘론벧하난에는 벤데겔이요
  5. 아룹봇에는 벤헤셋이니 소고와 헤벨 온 땅을 저가 주관하였으며
  1. Ben-abinadab, in all the height of Dor (Taphath the daughter of Solomon was his wife);
  2. Baana the son of Ahilud, in Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth-shean which is beside Zarethan below Jezreel, from Beth-shean to Abel-meholah as far as the other side of Jokmeam;
  3. Ben-geber, in Ramoth-gilead (the towns of Jair, the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead were his: the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, sixty great cities with walls and bronze bars were his);
  4. Ahinadab the son of Iddo, in Mahanaim;
  5. Ahimaaz, in Naphtali (he also married Basemath the daughter of Solomon);
  1. 돌 높은 땅 온 지방에는 벤아비나답이니 저는 솔로몬의 딸 다밧으로 아내를 삼았으며
  2. 다아낙과 므깃도와 이스르엘 아래 사르단 가에 있는 벧스안 온 땅은 아힐룻의 아들 바아나가 맡았으니 벧스안에서부터 아벨므홀라에 이르고 욕느암 바깥까지 미쳤으며
  3. 길르앗 라못에는 벤게벨이니 저는 길르앗에 있는 므낫세의 아들 야일의 모든 촌을 주관하였고 또 바산 아르곱 땅의 성벽과 놋빗장 있는 큰 성읍 육십을 주관하였으며
  4. 마하나임에는 잇도의 아들 아히나답이요
  5. 납달리에는 아히마아스니 저는 솔로몬의 딸 바스맛으로 아내를 삼았으며
  1. Baana the son of Hushai, in Asher and Bealoth;
  2. Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar;
  3. Shimei the son of Ela, in Benjamin;
  4. Geber the son of Uri, in the land of Gilead, the country of Sihon king of the Amorites and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only deputy who was in the land.
  5. Judah and Israel were as numerous as the sand that is on the seashore in abundance; they were eating and drinking and rejoicing.
  1. 아셀과 아롯에는 후새의 아들 바아나요
  2. 잇사갈에는 바루아의 아들 여호사밧이요
  3. 베냐민에는 엘라의 아들 시므이요
  4. 아모리 사람의 왕 시혼과 바산 왕 옥의 나라 길르앗 땅에는 우리의 아들 게벨이니 그 땅에서는 저 한 사람만 관장이 되었더라
  5. 유다와 이스라엘의 인구가 바닷가의 모래 같이 많게 되매 먹고 마시며 즐거워하였으며
  1. Now Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms from the River to the land of the Philistines and to the border of Egypt; they brought tribute and served Solomon all the days of his life.
  2. Solomon's provision for one day was thirty kors of fine flour and sixty kors of meal,
  3. ten fat oxen, twenty pasture-fed oxen, a hundred sheep besides deer, gazelles, roebucks, and fattened fowl.
  4. For he had dominion over everything west of the River, from Tiphsah even to Gaza, over all the kings west of the River; and he had peace on all sides around about him.
  5. So Judah and Israel lived in safety, every man under his vine and his fig tree, from Dan even to Beersheba, all the days of Solomon.
  1. 솔로몬이 하수에서부터 블레셋 사람의 땅에 이르기까지와 애굽 지경에 미치기까지의 모든 나라를 다스리므로 그 나라들이 공을 바쳐 솔로몬의 사는 동안에 섬겼더라
  2. 솔로몬의 일일분 식물은 가는 밀가루가 삼십석이요 굵은 밀가루가 육십석이요
  3. 살찐 소가 열이요 초장의 소가 스물이요 양이 일백이며 그 외에 수사슴과 노루와 암사슴과 살찐 새들이었더라
  4. 솔로몬이 하수 이편을 딥사에서부터 가사까지 모두 다스리므로 하수 이편의 모든 왕이 다 관할한바 되매 저가 사방에 둘린 민족과 평화가 있었으니
  5. 솔로몬의 사는 동안에 유다와 이스라엘이 단에서부터 브엘세바에 이르기까지 각기 포도나무 아래와 무화과나무 아래서 안연히 살았더라
  1. Solomon had 40,000 stalls of horses for his chariots, and 12,000 horsemen.
  2. Those deputies provided for King Solomon and all who came to King Solomon's table, each in his month; they left nothing lacking.
  3. They also brought barley and straw for the horses and swift steeds to the place where it should be, each according to his charge.
  4. Now God gave Solomon wisdom and very great discernment and breadth of mind, like the sand that is on the seashore.
  5. Solomon's wisdom surpassed the wisdom of all the sons of the east and all the wisdom of Egypt.
  1. 솔로몬의 병거의 말의 외양간이 사만이요 마병이 일만 이천이며
  2. 그 관장들은 각각 자기 달에 솔로몬왕과 왕의 상에 참예하는 모든 자를 위하여 먹을 것을 예비하여 부족함이 없게 하였으며
  3. 또 저희가 각기 직무를 따라 말과 준마에게 먹일 보리와 꼴을 그 말의 있는 곳으로 가져왔더라
  4. 하나님이 솔로몬에게 지혜와 총명을 심히 많이 주시고 또 넓은 마음을 주시되 바닷가의 모래 같이 하시니
  5. 솔로몬의 지혜가 동양 모든 사람의 지혜와 애굽의 모든 지혜보다 뛰어난지라
  1. For he was wiser than all men, than Ethan the Ezrahite, Heman, Calcol and Darda, the sons of Mahol; and his fame was known in all the surrounding nations.
  2. He also spoke 3,000 proverbs, and his songs were 1,005.
  3. He spoke of trees, from the cedar that is in Lebanon even to the hyssop that grows on the wall; he spoke also of animals and birds and creeping things and fish.
  4. Men came from all peoples to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all the kings of the earth who had heard of his wisdom.
  1. 저는 모든 사람보다 지혜로와서 예스라 사람 에단과 마홀의 아들 헤만과 갈골과 다르다보다 나으므로 그 이름이 사방 모든 나라에 들렸더라
  2. 저가 잠언 삼천을 말하였고 그 노래는 일천 다섯이며
  3. 저가 또 초목을 논하되 레바논 백향목으로부터 담에 나는 우슬초까지 하고 저가 또 짐승과 새와 기어 다니는 것과 물고기를 논한지라
  4. 모든 민족 중에서 솔로몬의 지혜의 소문을 들은 천하 모든 왕 중에서 그 지혜를 들으러 왔더라
