- My son, let them not vanish from your sight; Keep sound wisdom and discretion,
- So they will be life to your soul And adornment to your neck.
- Then you will walk in your way securely And your foot will not stumble.
- When you lie down, you will not be afraid; When you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.
- Do not be afraid of sudden fear Nor of the onslaught of the wicked when it comes;

- 그리하면 그것이 네 영혼의 생명이 되며 네 목에 장식이 되리니
- 네가 네 길을 안연히 행하겠고 네 발이 거치지 아니하겠으며
- 네가 누울 때에 두려워하지 아니하겠고 네가 누운즉 네 잠이 달리로다
- 너는 창졸간의 두려움이나 악인의 멸망이 임할 때나 두려워하지 말라
