창세기 45:1-46:34

 요셉은 형제들에게 자기의 신분을 밝히고 그들을 위로하였다. 요셉의 형제들이 왔다는 소식을 들은 바로는 그들을 환대하였고, 야곱의 가족이 애굽에 이주하여 살도록 배려했다. 야곱은 그의 가족들을 데리고 애굽으로 이주하여 요셉과 눈물의 재회를 하고 고센 땅에 정착하였다.
  
  요셉과 형제들의 화해(45:1-45:28)    
 
  1. Then Joseph could not control himself before all those who stood by him, and he cried, "Have everyone go out from me." So there was no man with him when Joseph made himself known to his brothers.
  2. He wept so loudly that the Egyptians heard it, and the household of Pharaoh heard of it.
  3. Then Joseph said to his brothers, "I am Joseph! Is my father still alive?" But his brothers could not answer him, for they were dismayed at his presence.
  4. Then Joseph said to his brothers, "Please come closer to me." And they came closer. And he said, "I am your brother Joseph, whom you sold into Egypt.
  5. "Now do not be grieved or angry with yourselves, because you sold me here, for God sent me before you to preserve life.
  1. 요셉은 시종들 앞에서 복받치는 감정을 억제할 길 없어 "모두들 물러나라." 하고 외쳤다. 이렇게 요셉은 모든 사람을 물리고 나서 자기가 누구인지를 형제들에게 알렸다.
  2. 그가 우는데 울음 소리가 어찌나 컸던지 이집트의 모든 사람에게 들렸고, 파라오의 집에도 들렸다.
  3. 요셉은 형제들에게 털어놓았다. "내가 바로 요셉입니다! 아버지께서 아직 살아 계시다고요?" 형제들은 그의 앞에서 너무나 어리둥절하여 입이 얼어붙고 말았다.
  4. 요셉이 그들에게 가까이 오라고 하자, 그제야 가까이 옆으로 갔다. 요셉은 그들에게 이렇게 말하였다. "내가 형님들의 아우 요셉입니다. 형님들이 나를 이집트로 팔아 넘겼지요.
  5. 그러나 이제는 나를 이 곳으로 팔아 넘겼다고 해서 마음으로 괴로워할 것도 얼굴을 붉힐 것도 없습니다. 하느님께서 우리의 목숨을 살리시려고 나를 형님들보다 앞서 보내신 것입니다.
  1. "For the famine has been in the land these two years, and there are still five years in which there will be neither plowing nor harvesting.
  2. "God sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant in the earth, and to keep you alive by a great deliverance.
  3. "Now, therefore, it was not you who sent me here, but God; and He has made me a father to Pharaoh and lord of all his household and ruler over all the land of Egypt.
  4. "Hurry and go up to my father, and say to him, 'Thus says your son Joseph, "God has made me lord of all Egypt; come down to me, do not delay.
  5. "You shall live in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near me, you and your children and your children's children and your flocks and your herds and all that you have.
  1. 이 땅에 기근이 든 지 이태가 되었습니다. 아직도 밭을 갈아 곡식을 거두려면 다섯 해가 더 지나야 됩니다.
  2. 하느님께서 나를 형님들보다 앞서 보내신 것은 형님들의 종족을 땅 위에 살아 남게 하시려는 것이었습니다.
  3. 그러니 나를 이 곳으로 보낸 것은 형님들이 아니라 바로 하느님이십니다. 하느님께서는 나를 파라오의 어른으로, 그 온 집안의 주인으로 삼으시고 이집트 전국을 다스리는 자로 세워주셨습니다.
  4. 지체말고 어서 아버지께로 올라가 아버지의 아들 요셉의 말이라 하고 이렇게 전해 주십시오. '하느님께서는 저를 온 이집트의 주인으로 삼으셨습니다. 주저하지 마시고 저에게로 내려오십시오.
  5. 아버지께서는 여러 아들과 손자들을 거느리시고 양과 소와 모든 재산을 가지고 고센 땅에 사시면서 저와 가까이 계실 수 있습니다.
  1. "There I will also provide for you, for there are still five years of famine to come, and you and your household and all that you have would be impoverished."'
  2. "Behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin see, that it is my mouth which is speaking to you.
  3. "Now you must tell my father of all my splendor in Egypt, and all that you have seen; and you must hurry and bring my father down here."
  4. Then he fell on his brother Benjamin's neck and wept, and Benjamin wept on his neck.
  5. He kissed all his brothers and wept on them, and afterward his brothers talked with him.
  1. 다섯 해 기근이 지나가도록 아버지께서 사실 수 있게 모든 것을 거기에 장만해 놓겠습니다. 아버지께서 거느리시는 식구들과 딸린 목숨이 아쉬운 것 없도록 해드리겠습니다.'
  2. 이제 형님들께서는 아우 베냐민과 함께 이 말을 하는 것이 바로 요셉이라는 것을 눈으로 똑똑히 보셨습니다.
  3. 내가 이집트에서 어떤 영화를 누리고 있는지, 그 밖에 무엇이든지 본 대로 다 아버지께 말씀드려 주십시오. 지체말고 어서 가서 아버지를 이리로 모시고 내려오십시오."
  4. 그리고 나서 요셉은 친동생 베냐민의 목을 부둥켜 안고 울었다. 베냐민도 그의 목에 매달려 울었다.
  5. 다시 요셉은 형들과 일일이 입을 맞추어 인사하고는 붙잡고 울었다. 그제야 형들은 그와 이야기를 할 수 있게 되었다.
  1. Now when the news was heard in Pharaoh's house that Joseph's brothers had come, it pleased Pharaoh and his servants.
  2. Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, "Say to your brothers, 'Do this: load your beasts and go to the land of Canaan,
  3. and take your father and your households and come to me, and I will give you the best of the land of Egypt and you will eat the fat of the land.'
  4. "Now you are ordered, 'Do this: take wagons from the land of Egypt for your little ones and for your wives, and bring your father and come.
  5. 'Do not concern yourselves with your goods, for the best of all the land of Egypt is yours.'"
  1. 요셉의 형제들이 왔다는 소식이 파라오의 집안에 전해지자 파라오와 그의 신하들은 기뻐하였다.
  2. 파라오가 요셉에게 말하였다. "형제들에게 이르시오. 짐승들에 짐을 싣고 가나안 땅으로 돌아가서
  3. 아버지와 온 식구를 이리로 데려오라고 이르시오. 또한 내가 이집트에서도 가장 좋은 땅을 주어 그 땅의 기름진 것을 먹고 살게 하겠다 하더라고 이르시오.
  4. 또 이렇게 내 말을 전하시오. '너희들의 어린것들과 아내들이 타고 오게 마차들을 가지고 가거라. 그리고 아버지를 모셔오도록 하여라.
  5. 가지고 있던 세간 같은 것은 아까워하지 말아라. 이집트 전국에서도 가장 좋은 땅이 그대들의 것이 될 것이다."
  1. Then the sons of Israel did so; and Joseph gave them wagons according to the command of Pharaoh, and gave them provisions for the journey.
  2. To each of them he gave changes of garments, but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver and five changes of garments.
  3. To his father he sent as follows: ten donkeys loaded with the best things of Egypt, and ten female donkeys loaded with grain and bread and sustenance for his father on the journey.
  4. So he sent his brothers away, and as they departed, he said to them, "Do not quarrel on the journey."
  5. Then they went up from Egypt, and came to the land of Canaan to their father Jacob.
  1. 이스라엘의 아들들은 하라는 대로 하였다. 요셉은 파라오의 명령대로 그들에게 마차를 내어주고 여행 길에 먹을 양식도 마련해 주었다.
  2. 그리고 각 개인에게 나들이옷 한 벌씩을 주었고 베냐민에게는 은돈 삼백 세겔과 나들이옷 다섯 벌을 주었다.
  3. 그리고 아버지에게는 이집트에서 난 귀한 물건을 수나귀 열 마리에 가득 실어보내었고, 야곱이 여행 길에 먹을 밀이나 빵 같은 음식을 암나귀 열 마리에 가득 실어보내었다.
  4. 형들과 아우를 떠나보내면서 요셉은 도중에 서로 탓하지들 말라고 당부하였다.
  5. 이렇게 하여 그들은 이집트에서 가나안 땅으로 아버지 야곱에게 돌아왔다.
  1. They told him, saying, "Joseph is still alive, and indeed he is ruler over all the land of Egypt." But he was stunned, for he did not believe them.
  2. When they told him all the words of Joseph that he had spoken to them, and when he saw the wagons that Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of their father Jacob revived.
  3. Then Israel said, "It is enough; my son Joseph is still alive. I will go and see him before I die."
  1. 돌아온 그들은 "요셉이 지금도 살아 있습니다. 전 이집트를 다스리는 자가 되었어요." 하고 아버지에게 아뢰었다. 그는 다만 어리둥절하여 그 말을 곧이들을 수가 없었다.
  2. 그러나 요셉이 한 말을 다 전해 듣고 자기를 데려오라고 보낸 마차들을 보고 나자 아버지 야곱은 제 정신이 돌아왔다.
  3. "이제는 죽어도 한이 없다. 내 아들 요셉이 살아 있다니..., 죽기 전에 가서 그 애를 봐야지." 하고 이스라엘은 중얼거렸다.
 
  애굽으로 이주한 야곱(46:1-46:34)    
 
  1. So Israel set out with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac.
  2. God spoke to Israel in visions of the night and said, "Jacob, Jacob." And he said, "Here I am."
  3. He said, "I am God, the God of your father; do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you a great nation there.
  4. "I will go down with you to Egypt, and I will also surely bring you up again; and Joseph will close your eyes."
  5. Then Jacob arose from Beersheba; and the sons of Israel carried their father Jacob and their little ones and their wives in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.
  1. 마침내 이스라엘은 모든 식구를 거느리고 재물을 챙겨 길을 떠났다. 브엘세바에 이르러 아버지 이사악의 하느님께 제사를 올리는데
  2. 그 날 밤 하느님께서 환상 중에 이스라엘에게 말씀하셨다. "야곱아, 야곱아." "저를 부르셨습니까?" 하고 야곱이 대답하자
  3. 하느님께서는 이렇게 말씀하셨다. "나는 하느님, 네 아비를 보살피던 하느님이다. 이집트로 내려가는 것을 꺼리지 마라. 내가 거기에서 너를 강대국으로 만들리라.
  4. 내가 너와 함께 이집트까지 내려가리라. 그리고 내가 너를 거기에서 반드시 다시 올라오게 하리라. 요셉의 손이 네 눈을 감겨줄 것이다."
  5. 야곱은 브엘세바를 떠났다. 이스라엘의 아들들은 파라오가 아버지 야곱을 모셔오라고 보낸 마차에 아버지와 어린것들과 아내들을 태우고 떠났다.
  1. They took their livestock and their property, which they had acquired in the land of Canaan, and came to Egypt, Jacob and all his descendants with him:
  2. his sons and his grandsons with him, his daughters and his granddaughters, and all his descendants he brought with him to Egypt.
  3. Now these are the names of the sons of Israel, Jacob and his sons, who went to Egypt: Reuben, Jacob's firstborn.
  4. The sons of Reuben: Hanoch and Pallu and Hezron and Carmi.
  5. The sons of Simeon: Jemuel and Jamin and Ohad and Jachin and Zohar and Shaul the son of a Canaanite woman.
  1. 야곱과 그가 거느리는 모든 자손은 가나안 땅에서 모은 가축과 재물을 모두 가지고 이집트로 들어갔다.
  2. 그는 아들과 손자, 딸과 손녀 이렇게 그의 모든 자손들을 데리고 이집트로 들어갔다.
  3. 이집트로 들어간 이스라엘 자손의 이름은 아래와 같다. 야곱과 그 자손들의 이름이다. 야곱의 맏아들은 르우벤인데
  4. 르우벤의 아들은 하녹, 발루, 헤스론, 가르미요,
  5. 시므온의 아들은 여무엘, 야민, 오핫, 야긴, 소할과 가나안 여인에게서 난 사울이요,
  1. The sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
  2. The sons of Judah: Er and Onan and Shelah and Perez and Zerah (but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan). And the sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul.
  3. The sons of Issachar: Tola and Puvvah and Iob and Shimron.
  4. The sons of Zebulun: Sered and Elon and Jahleel.
  5. These are the sons of Leah, whom she bore to Jacob in Paddan-aram, with his daughter Dinah; all his sons and his daughters numbered thirty-three.
  1. 레위의 아들은 게르손, 크핫, 므라리요,
  2. 유다의 아들은 에르, 오난, 셀라, 베레스, 제라였는데 에르와 오난은 가나안 땅에서 죽었다. 베레스의 아들은 헤스론, 하물이요,
  3. 이싸갈의 아들은 돌라, 부아, 야숩, 시므론이요,
  4. 즈불룬의 아들은 세렛, 엘론, 야흘르엘이다.
  5. 이상은 레아가 바딴아람에서 야곱에게 낳아준 아들들이다. 그 밖에 딸 디나가 있었다. 그의 편에서 난 자손은 아들딸 합하여 삼십삼 명이었다.
  1. The sons of Gad: Ziphion and Haggi, Shuni and Ezbon, Eri and Arodi and Areli.
  2. The sons of Asher: Imnah and Ishvah and Ishvi and Beriah and their sister Serah And the sons of Beriah: Heber and Malchiel.
  3. These are the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to his daughter Leah; and she bore to Jacob these sixteen persons.
  4. The sons of Jacob's wife Rachel: Joseph and Benjamin.
  5. Now to Joseph in the land of Egypt were born Manasseh and Ephraim, whom Asenath, the daughter of Potiphera, priest of On, bore to him.
  1. 가드의 아들은 시브욘, 하끼, 수니, 에스본, 에리, 아로디, 아르엘리요,
  2. 아셀의 아들은 임나, 이스와, 이스위, 브리아인데, 그들에게는 누이 세라가 있었다. 브리아에게는 아들 헤벨과 말기엘이 있었다.
  3. 이상은 라반이 딸 레아에게 딸려준 질바가 낳은 자손들이다. 이렇게 야곱이 질바에게서 낳은 자손은 십육 명이다.
  4. 야곱의 아내 라헬에게서 난 아들은 요셉과 베냐민이었는데,
  5. 요셉은 이집트 땅에서 므나쎄와 에브라임을 얻었다. 이들은 온의 사제 보디베라의 딸 아세낫이 그에게 낳아준 아들들이다.
  1. The sons of Benjamin: Bela and Becher and Ashbel, Gera and Naaman, Ehi and Rosh, Muppim and Huppim and Ard.
  2. These are the sons of Rachel, who were born to Jacob; there were fourteen persons in all.
  3. The sons of Dan: Hushim.
  4. The sons of Naphtali: Jahzeel and Guni and Jezer and Shillem.
  5. These are the sons of Bilhah, whom Laban gave to his daughter Rachel, and she bore these to Jacob; there were seven persons in all.
  1. 베냐민의 아들은 벨라, 베겔, 아스벨, 게라, 나아만, 에히, 로스, 무빔, 후빔, 아르드이다.
  2. 이상은 야곱이 라헬에게서 낳은 자손들로서 모두 십사 명이다.
  3. 단의 아들은 후심이요,
  4. 납달리의 아들은 야하스엘, 구니, 예셀, 실렘이다.
  5. 이상은 라반이 딸 라헬에게 딸려준 빌하가 낳은 자손들이다. 이렇게 야곱이 빌하에게서 낳은 자손은 칠 명이다.
  1. All the persons belonging to Jacob, who came to Egypt, his direct descendants, not including the wives of Jacob's sons, were sixty-six persons in all,
  2. and the sons of Joseph, who were born to him in Egypt were two; all the persons of the house of Jacob, who came to Egypt, were seventy.
  3. Now he sent Judah before him to Joseph, to point out the way before him to Goshen; and they came into the land of Goshen.
  4. Joseph prepared his chariot and went up to Goshen to meet his father Israel; as soon as he appeared before him, he fell on his neck and wept on his neck a long time.
  5. Then Israel said to Joseph, "Now let me die, since I have seen your face, that you are still alive."
  1. 야곱에게 딸린 직계 자손으로 이집트에 들어간 사람들은 며느리들을 빼고 전부 육십육 명이었는데
  2. 이집트에서 요셉에게 생긴 두 아들까지 합쳐 이집트에 간 야곱 가문의 식구는 모두 칠십 명이 되었다.
  3. 이스라엘은 유다를 미리 요셉에게 보내고는 일행과 함께 고센 땅에 이르렀다.
  4. 요셉은 병거에 말을 메워 타고 고센으로 올라가 아버지 이스라엘을 만나 아버지 앞에 나아가 목을 얼싸안았다. 목을 얼싸안고 우는데,
  5. 이스라엘이 요셉에게 말하였다. "이제는 죽어도 한이 없다. 마침내 네 얼굴을 이렇게 보다니. 네가 살아 있었구나!"
  1. Joseph said to his brothers and to his father's household, "I will go up and tell Pharaoh, and will say to him, 'My brothers and my father's household, who were in the land of Canaan, have come to me;
  2. and the men are shepherds, for they have been keepers of livestock; and they have brought their flocks and their herds and all that they have.'
  3. "When Pharaoh calls you and says, 'What is your occupation?'
  4. you shall say, 'Your servants have been keepers of livestock from our youth even until now, both we and our fathers,' that you may live in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is loathsome to the Egyptians."
  1. 요셉이 형제와 아버지의 집안 식구들에게 말하였다. "제가 올라가 파라오께 이렇게 말씀 드리겠습니다. '가나안 땅에서 살던 형제와 아버지 집안 식구들이 왔습니다.
  2. 본디 가축을 치던 목자들이어서 소와 양과 모든 재산을 가지고 왔습니다.'
  3. 이렇게 말씀 드려둘 터이니 파라오께서 부르시어 생업이 무엇이냐고 물으시거든
  4. '선조 대대로 저희는 어려서부터 가축을 치는 목자들입니다.' 하고 대답하십시오. 이렇게 말해야 고센 땅에서 사실 수 있습니다. 이집트 사람들은 도대체 목자라면 꺼려서 가까이하지도 않습니다."
