- Jesus withdrew to the sea with His disciples; and a great multitude from Galilee followed; and also from Judea,
- and from Jerusalem, and from Idumea, and beyond the Jordan, and the vicinity of Tyre and Sidon, a great number of people heard of all that He was doing and came to Him.
- And He told His disciples that a boat should stand ready for Him because of the crowd, so that they would not crowd Him;
- for He had healed many, with the result that all those who had afflictions pressed around Him in order to touch Him.
- Whenever the unclean spirits saw Him, they would fall down before Him and shout, "You are the Son of God!"

- 예수께서 제자들과 함께 호숫가로 물러가셨을 때에 갈릴래아에서 많은 사람들이 따라왔다. 또 유다와
- 예루살렘과 에돔과 요르단 강 건너편에 사는 사람들이며 띠로와 시돈 근방에 사는 사람들까지도 예수께서 하시는 일을 전해 듣고 많이 몰려왔다.
- 예수께서는 밀어닥치는 군중을 피하시려고 제자들에게 거룻배 한 척을 준비하라고 이르셨다.
- 예수께서 많은 사람을 고쳐주셨으므로 병으로 고생하는 사람들이 앞을 다투어 예수를 만지려고 밀려들었던 것이다.
- 또 더러운 악령들은 예수를 보기만 하면 그 앞에 엎드려 "당신은 하느님의 아들이십니다!" 하고 소리질렀다.

- And He earnestly warned them not to tell who He was.
- And He went up on the mountain and summoned those whom He Himself wanted, and they came to Him.
- And He appointed twelve, so that they would be with Him and that He could send them out to preach,
- and to have authority to cast out the demons.
- And He appointed the twelve: Simon (to whom He gave the name Peter),

- 그러나 예수께서는 그들에게 당신을 남에게 알리지 말라고 엄하게 명령하셨다.
- 예수께서 산에 올라가 마음에 두셨던 사람들을 부르셨다. 그들이 예수께 가까이 왔을 때에
- 예수께서는 열둘을 뽑아 사도로 삼으시고 당신 곁에 있게 하셨다. 이것은 그들을 보내어 말씀을 전하게 하시고,
- 마귀를 쫓아내는 권한을 주시려는 것이었다.
- 이렇게 뽑으신 열두 사도는 베드로라는 이름을 붙여주신 시몬과

- and James, the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James (to them He gave the name Boanerges, which means, "Sons of Thunder");
- and Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Zealot;
- and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed Him.
- And He came home, and the crowd gathered again, to such an extent that they could not even eat a meal.
- When His own people heard of this, they went out to take custody of Him; for they were saying, "He has lost His senses."

- 천둥의 아들이라는 뜻으로 둘 다 보아네르게스라고 이름을 붙여주신 제베대오의 아들 야고보와 그의 동생 요한,
- 그리고 안드레아, 필립보, 바르톨로메오, 마태오, 토마, 알패오의 아들 야고보, 타대오, 혁명당원 시몬,
- 그리고 예수를 팔아 넘긴 가리옷 사람 유다이다.
- 예수께서 집에 돌아오시자 군중이 다시 모여들어서 예수의 일행은 음식을 먹을 겨를도 없었다.
- 이 소식을 들은 예수의 친척들은 예수를 붙들러 나섰다. 예수가 미쳤다는 소문이 돌고 있었기 때문이다.

- The scribes who came down from Jerusalem were saying, "He is possessed by Beelzebul," and "He casts out the demons by the ruler of the demons."
- And He called them to Himself and began speaking to them in parables, "How can Satan cast out Satan?
- "If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
- "If a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.
- "If Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but he is finished!

- 예루살렘에서 내려온 율법학자들도 예수가 베엘제불에게 사로잡혔다느니 또는 마귀 두목의 힘을 빌려 마귀를 쫓아낸다느니 하고 떠들었다.
- 그래서 예수께서는 그들을 불러다 놓고 비유로 말씀하셨다. "사탄이 어떻게 사탄을 쫓아낼 수 있겠느냐?
- 한 나라가 갈라져 서로 싸우면 그 나라는 제대로 설 수 없다.
- 또 한 가정이 갈라져 서로 싸우면 그 가정도 버티어 나갈 수 없다.
- 만일 사탄의 나라가 내분으로 갈라진다면 그 나라는 지탱하지 못하고 망하게 될 것이다.

- "But no one can enter the strong man's house and plunder his property unless he first binds the strong man, and then he will plunder his house.
- "Truly I say to you, all sins shall be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they utter;
- but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin"--
- because they were saying, "He has an unclean spirit."
- Then His mother and His brothers arrived, and standing outside they sent word to Him and called Him.

- 또 누가 힘센 사람의 집에 들어가서 그 세간을 털어가려면 그는 먼저 그 힘센 사람을 묶어놓아야 하지 않겠느냐? 그래야 그 집을 털 수 있을 것이다.
- 나는 분명히 말한다. 사람들이 어떤 죄를 짓든 입으로 어떤 욕설을 하든 그것은 다 용서받을 수 있으나
- 성령을 모독하는 사람은 영원히 용서받지 못할 것이며 그 죄는 영원히 벗어날 길이 없을 것이다."
- 이 말씀을 하신 것은 사람들이 예수를 더러운 악령에 사로잡혔다고 비방했기 때문이다.
- 그 때 예수의 어머니와 형제들이 밖에 와 서서 예수를 불러달라고 사람을 들여보냈다.

- A crowd was sitting around Him, and they said to Him, "Behold, Your mother and Your brothers are outside looking for You."
- Answering them, He said, "Who are My mother and My brothers?"
- Looking about at those who were sitting around Him, He said, "Behold My mother and My brothers!
- "For whoever does the will of God, he is My brother and sister and mother."

- 둘러앉았던 군중이 예수께 "선생님, 선생님의 어머님과 형제분들이 밖에서 찾으십니다." 하고 말하였다.
- 예수께서는 "누가 내 어머니이고 내 형제들이냐?" 하고 반문하시고
- 둘러앉은 사람들을 돌아보시며 말씀하셨다. "바로 이 사람들이 내 어머니이고 내 형제들이다.
- 하느님의 뜻을 행하는 사람이 곧 내 형제요, 자매요, 어머니이다."
