레위기 25:35-26:39

 하나님께서는 이스라엘 백성들에게 가난한 자와 이방인의 종이 된 동족을 도와주라고 명령하셨다. 그리고 우상을 숭배하지 않고 율법에 순종하는 자는 복을 받지만 불순종하고 거역하는 자들은 저주를 받을 것이라고 선포하셨다.
  
  축복과 저주(25:35-26:39)    
 
  1. 'Now in case a countryman of yours becomes poor and his means with regard to you falter, then you are to sustain him, like a stranger or a sojourner, that he may live with you.
  2. 'Do not take usurious interest from him, but revere your God, that your countryman may live with you.
  3. 'You shall not give him your silver at interest, nor your food for gain.
  4. 'I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt to give you the land of Canaan and to be your God.
  5. 'If a countryman of yours becomes so poor with regard to you that he sells himself to you, you shall not subject him to a slave's service.
  1. 너희 동족 가운데 누가 옹색하게 되어, 너희에게 의탁해야 할 신세가 되거든, 너희는 그를 몸붙여 사는 식객처럼 붙들어 주고 함께 데리고 살아라.
  2. 너희는 그에게서 세나 이자를 받지 못한다. 너희는 하느님 두려운 줄 알아 그런 동족을 함께 데리고 살아야 한다.
  3. 너희는 그에게 이잣돈도 놓지 못하고, 그에게 양식을 장리로 꾸어주지도 못한다.
  4. 나 야훼가 너희를 이집트 땅에서 이끌어낸 너희 하느님이다. 나는 너희에게 가나안 땅을 주어 너희의 하느님이 되리라.
  5. 너희와 함께 사는 너희 동족 가운데 누가 옹색하게 되어 너희에게 몸을 팔았을 경우에 너희는 그를 종 부리듯 부리지 못한다.
  1. 'He shall be with you as a hired man, as if he were a sojourner; he shall serve with you until the year of jubilee.
  2. 'He shall then go out from you, he and his sons with him, and shall go back to his family, that he may return to the property of his forefathers.
  3. 'For they are My servants whom I brought out from the land of Egypt; they are not to be sold in a slave sale.
  4. 'You shall not rule over him with severity, but are to revere your God.
  5. 'As for your male and female slaves whom you may have--you may acquire male and female slaves from the pagan nations that are around you.
  1. 너희는 그를 품꾼이나 식객처럼 데리고 살며 일을 시키다가 희년이 되면
  2. 자식들과 함께 집에서 내보내어 자기 지파로 조상의 소유지를 찾아 돌아가게 해야 한다.
  3. 그들은 내가 이집트 땅에서 이끌어낸 나의 종들이니, 종이 팔리듯이 팔려서는 안 된다.
  4. 너희는 하느님 두려운 줄 알아 그를 심하게 부리지 마라.
  5. 너희는 남종이나 여종을 두려면 너희 주변에 있는 다른 민족들에게서 구해야 한다. 그들에게서 남종과 여종을 사들일 수 있고
  1. 'Then, too, it is out of the sons of the sojourners who live as aliens among you that you may gain acquisition, and out of their families who are with you, whom they will have produced in your land; they also may become your possession.
  2. 'You may even bequeath them to your sons after you, to receive as a possession; you can use them as permanent slaves. But in respect to your countrymen, the sons of Israel, you shall not rule with severity over one another.
  3. 'Now if the means of a stranger or of a sojourner with you becomes sufficient, and a countryman of yours becomes so poor with regard to him as to sell himself to a stranger who is sojourning with you, or to the descendants of a stranger's family,
  4. then he shall have redemption right after he has been sold. One of his brothers may redeem him,
  5. or his uncle, or his uncle's son, may redeem him, or one of his blood relatives from his family may redeem him; or if he prospers, he may redeem himself.
  1. 또 너희에게 몸붙여 사는 외국인들의 자손 중에서도 사들일 수 있으며 너희 땅에 와서 낳은 자식들로서 너희와 섞여 사는 그들의 친척들 가운데서도 사들여 너희의 소유로 삼을 수 있다.
  2. 너희는 이 종들을 자손에게 대대로 물려주어 언제까지나 소유하게 할 수 있다. 너희는 그들을 종으로 부릴 수 있으나 너희 동족 이스라엘 백성끼리는 아무도 심하게 부릴 수 없다.
  3. 너희와 어울려 사는 외국인 가운데 넉넉히 사는 사람이 있는데 너희 동족 가운데 누가 옹색해져서 그에게 붙어 살게 되었다고 하자. 또 누가 너희와 어울려 사는 외국인이나 그 외국인 친척의 자손에게 팔려갔다고 하자.
  4. 이렇게 팔린 다음에도 그는 값을 치르고 풀려날 수 있다. 그의 동기 가운데서 누군가가 그를 물러낼 수 있는 것이다.
  5. 그렇지 못하면 그의 삼촌이나 사촌이 그를 물러낼 수 있다. 그렇게도 안 되면 집안에서 가까운 친척이 그를 물러낼 수 있다. 혹시 본인에게 힘이 생기면 스스로 제 몸을 물러낼 수도 있다.
  1. 'He then with his purchaser shall calculate from the year when he sold himself to him up to the year of jubilee; and the price of his sale shall correspond to the number of years. It is like the days of a hired man that he shall be with him.
  2. 'If there are still many years, he shall refund part of his purchase price in proportion to them for his own redemption;
  3. and if few years remain until the year of jubilee, he shall so calculate with him. In proportion to his years he is to refund the amount for his redemption.
  4. 'Like a man hired year by year he shall be with him; he shall not rule over him with severity in your sight.
  5. 'Even if he is not redeemed by these means, he shall still go out in the year of jubilee, he and his sons with him.
  1. 그가 자기를 사는 사람과 몸값을 정하는데는 팔려가는 해에서 희년까지 몇 해인지 따져 그 햇수 동안 그 집에서 머슴살이하는 것으로 치고 계산하는 것이다.
  2. 그러므로 몸을 무를 때에는 자기를 판 돈을 그 햇수로 따져서 햇수가 많이 남았으면 그만큼 많이 내야 한다.
  3. 희년까지 남은 햇수가 적으면, 그 햇수를 따라 그만큼 적게 내고 무를 수 있다.
  4. 주인은 그를 한 해 한 해 머슴살이하는 사람으로서 대접을 해야 하고 심하게 부리지는 못한다.
  5. 그가 이런 조건으로 값을 치르고 풀려나지 못했으면, 희년에 가서야 자식들과 함께 자유의 몸이 되리라.
  1. 'For the sons of Israel are My servants; they are My servants whom I brought out from the land of Egypt. I am the LORD your God.
  1. 이스라엘 백성은 나의 종, 내가 이집트 땅에서 이끌어낸 나의 종이다. 나 야훼가 너희의 하느님이다.
 
 
  1. 'You shall not make for yourselves idols, nor shall you set up for yourselves an image or a sacred pillar, nor shall you place a figured stone in your land to bow down to it; for I am the LORD your God.
  2. 'You shall keep My sabbaths and reverence My sanctuary; I am the LORD.
  3. 'If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments so as to carry them out,
  4. then I shall give you rains in their season, so that the land will yield its produce and the trees of the field will bear their fruit.
  5. 'Indeed, your threshing will last for you until grape gathering, and grape gathering will last until sowing time You will thus eat your food to the full and live securely in your land.
  1. 너희는 우상들을 만들어 모시지 마라. 신상이나 석상을 너희 가운데 세우지 마라. 또 그림 그린 석상을 너희 땅에 세우고 그 앞에 엎드리지 마라. 너희 하느님은 나 야훼이다.
  2. 너희는 나의 안식일을 지키고, 나의 성소를 어려워하여라. 나는 야훼이다.
  3. 너희가 만일 내가 정해 준 규정들을 따르고, 내가 지시한 계명들을 지켜 그대로 하면
  4. 내가 너희에게 제때에 비를 내려주리니, 땅은 소출을 내고 들의 나무들은 열매를 맺을 것이다.
  5. 너희는 타작이 끝나면 포도를 따고 포도를 따고 나면 씨앗을 심게 될 것이다. 그래서 너희는 마음껏 먹으며 너희 땅에서 안심하고 살게 되리라.
  1. 'I shall also grant peace in the land, so that you may lie down with no one making you tremble I shall also eliminate harmful beasts from the land, and no sword will pass through your land.
  2. 'But you will chase your enemies and they will fall before you by the sword;
  3. five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand, and your enemies will fall before you by the sword.
  4. 'So I will turn toward you and make you fruitful and multiply you, and I will confirm My covenant with you.
  5. 'You will eat the old supply and clear out the old because of the new.
  1. 내가 그 땅에 평화를 주리니, 너희는 다리를 뻗고 잘 수 있으리라. 나는 맹수를 너희 땅에서 몰아낼 것이며 칼싸움이 너희의 땅을 휩쓸지 못하게 하리라.
  2. 너희 원수들은 너희에게 쫓기다가 너희의 칼에 맞아 쓰러지리라.
  3. 너희는 다섯 명이 원수 백 명을 추격하고, 백 명이 원수 만 명을 추격할 수 있을 것이다. 너희 원수들은 너희의 칼에 맞아 쓰러지리라.
  4. 나는 너희를 부드러운 얼굴로 굽어보며 너희 자손을 일으키고 너희를 불어나게 하여 내가 너희와 맺은 계약을 이루리라.
  5. 묵은 곡식을 먹다가 햇곡식이 나면, 먹다가 남은 묵은 곡식을 퍼내게 될 것이다.
  1. 'Moreover, I will make My dwelling among you, and My soul will not reject you.
  2. 'I will also walk among you and be your God, and you shall be My people.
  3. 'I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt so that you would not be their slaves, and I broke the bars of your yoke and made you walk erect.
  4. 'But if you do not obey Me and do not carry out all these commandments,
  5. if, instead, you reject My statutes, and if your soul abhors My ordinances so as not to carry out all My commandments, and so break My covenant,
  1. 내가 너희 가운데 나의 있을 자리를 정하고 너희를 저버리지 아니하리라.
  2. 나는 너희 가운데 살며 너희 하느님이 되고 너희는 나의 백성이 되리라.
  3. 나 야훼는 너희를 이집트 땅에서 이끌어내어 너희를 종으로 부리지 못하게 한 너희의 하느님이다. 나는 너희가 멘 멍에의 가름대를 부수어 너희로 하여금 고개를 들고 다니게 하였다.
  4. 그러나 너희가 만일 나의 말을 듣지 않아 이 모든 계명을 실천하지 않으면,
  5. 또 내가 정해 준 규정을 배척하고 내가 세워준 법을 저버리며 나의 이 모든 계명을 실천하지 않고 내가 세워준 계약을 깨뜨리면
  1. I, in turn, will do this to you: I will appoint over you a sudden terror, consumption and fever that will waste away the eyes and cause the soul to pine away; also, you will sow your seed uselessly, for your enemies will eat it up.
  2. 'I will set My face against you so that you will be struck down before your enemies; and those who hate you will rule over you, and you will flee when no one is pursuing you.
  3. 'If also after these things you do not obey Me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.
  4. 'I will also break down your pride of power; I will also make your sky like iron and your earth like bronze.
  5. 'Your strength will be spent uselessly, for your land will not yield its produce and the trees of the land will not yield their fruit.
  1. 나도 너희에게 그렇게 하리라. 나는 너희에게 몹쓸 재앙을 내려 폐병과 열병으로 마침내 두 눈은 꺼지고 맥은 빠지게 하리라. 너희가 씨앗을 심은 보람도 없이 너희 원수가 그것을 거두어 먹으리라.
  2. 내가 너희를 엄한 눈초리로 쏘아보면 너희는 원수와의 싸움에 져서 적의 지배를 받으리라. 너희는 쫓는 사람이 없는데도 도망치게 되리라.
  3. 이렇게까지 하여도 너희가 내 말을 듣지 않으면, 나는 너희 죄를 거듭거듭 일곱 배로 벌하여
  4. 너희의 뽐내는 힘을 부수리라. 너희 하늘을 쇠처럼, 너희 땅을 놋쇠처럼 단단하게 만들어
  5. 너희가 힘을 다한 보람도 없이 너희 땅은 소출을 내주지 않을 것이요 너희 땅에 선 나무는 열매를 맺어주지 아니하리라.
  1. 'If then, you act with hostility against Me and are unwilling to obey Me, I will increase the plague on you seven times according to your sins.
  2. 'I will let loose among you the beasts of the field, which will bereave you of your children and destroy your cattle and reduce your number so that your roads lie deserted.
  3. 'And if by these things you are not turned to Me, but act with hostility against Me,
  4. then I will act with hostility against you; and I, even I, will strike you seven times for your sins.
  5. 'I will also bring upon you a sword which will execute vengeance for the covenant; and when you gather together into your cities, I will send pestilence among you, so that you shall be delivered into enemy hands.
  1. 그래도 너희가 나의 말을 들을 생각을 않고 기어이 반항한다면 나는 너희 죄에 마땅한 재앙을 거듭거듭 일곱 배로 내리리라.
  2. 나는 너희에게 야수를 보내어 너희 자식을 잡아먹고 너희 가축의 씨를 말리게 하리라. 그래서 인구가 줄어 길에 인기척도 없게 되리라.
  3. 이렇게 해도 너희가 내 꾸지람을 듣지 아니하고 반항한다면,
  4. 나도 너희와 맞서 너희 죄를 일곱 배로 하여 너희를 치리라.
  5. 너희에게 복수의 칼을 보내어 계약을 어긴 것을 보복하리라. 너희가 성 안으로 피해 들어가면 나는 너희 가운데 염병을 보내리라. 그리하여 너희는 결국 원수들의 손에 넘어가고 말리라.
  1. 'When I break your staff of bread, ten women will bake your bread in one oven, and they will bring back your bread in rationed amounts, so that you will eat and not be satisfied.
  2. 'Yet if in spite of this you do not obey Me, but act with hostility against Me,
  3. then I will act with wrathful hostility against you, and I, even I, will punish you seven times for your sins.
  4. 'Further, you will eat the flesh of your sons and the flesh of your daughters you will eat.
  5. 'I then will destroy your high places, and cut down your incense altars, and heap your remains on the remains of your idols, for My soul shall abhor you.
  1. 너희가 지팡이처럼 의지하는 양식 줄을 내가 끊어버리리라. 그리되면 한 가마에서 여인 열 명이 구워내어 달아서 나누어주는 빵을 받아 먹어보아야 너희 간에 기별도 가지 아니할 것이다.
  2. 이렇게 해도 너희가 내 말을 듣지 않고 반항한다면
  3. 나는 크게 노하여 너희와 맞설 것이며 너희 죄를 일곱 배로 징계하리라.
  4. 그리하여 너희는 너희 아들들의 살을 먹고 딸들의 살을 먹어야 하게 되리라.
  5. 나는 언덕에 있는 너희의 산당을 헐어버리고, 분향단을 찍어버리리라. 시체처럼 쓰러진 너희 우상들 위에 너희의 주검이 쌓이게 하고 다시는 눈길도 돌리지 아니하리라.
  1. 'I will lay waste your cities as well and will make your sanctuaries desolate, and I will not smell your soothing aromas.
  2. 'I will make the land desolate so that your enemies who settle in it will be appalled over it.
  3. 'You, however, I will scatter among the nations and will draw out a sword after you, as your land becomes desolate and your cities become waste.
  4. 'Then the land will enjoy its sabbaths all the days of the desolation, while you are in your enemies' land; then the land will rest and enjoy its sabbaths.
  5. 'All the days of its desolation it will observe the rest which it did not observe on your sabbaths, while you were living on it.
  1. 너희 성읍들을 폐허로 만들고 너희 성소들을 쑥밭으로 만들 것이며 너희가 나를 기쁘게 하려고 피우는 향기를 역겨워하여 코도 돌리지 아니하리라.
  2. 내가 너희의 땅을 쑥밭으로 만들리니 너희 원수들이 그리로 살러 왔다가는 너희가 망하는 꼴을 보고 놀랄 것이다.
  3. 나는 칼을 빼들고 너희를 쫓아 이민족들 사이에 흩어버리리라. 마침내 너희 땅은 쑥밭이 되고 너희 성읍들은 폐허가 되리라.
  4. 너희가 원수의 땅에 끌려가면 너희의 땅은 쑥밭이 되리라. 그 동안에 땅은 안식을 누릴 것이다. 그제야 숨을 돌리며 제 안식을 누릴 것이다.
  5. 너희가 여기에 사는 동안 안식년에도 쉬지 못하던 땅이 쑥밭이 되어 있는 동안에 쉬게 되리라.
  1. 'As for those of you who may be left, I will also bring weakness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies. And the sound of a driven leaf will chase them, and even when no one is pursuing they will flee as though from the sword, and they will fall.
  2. 'They will therefore stumble over each other as if running from the sword, although no one is pursuing; and you will have no strength to stand up before your enemies.
  3. 'But you will perish among the nations, and your enemies' land will consume you.
  4. 'So those of you who may be left will rot away because of their iniquity in the lands of your enemies; and also because of the iniquities of their forefathers they will rot away with them.
  1. 나는 너희 가운데 살아 남은 자들로 하여금 원수들의 땅에 끌려가서 마음을 죄며 살게 하리라. 그들은 나뭇잎 떨어지는 소리에도 쫓기리라. 휘두르는 칼을 피하듯이 도망치리라. 뒤쫓아오는 사람이 없는데도 쓰러질 것이다.
  2. 뒤쫓는 사람이 없는데도 칼날 앞에서 허둥대듯이 저희끼리 엎치락뒤치락할 것이다. 너희는 너희 원수와 도저히 맞설 수 없으리라.
  3. 너희는 이민족들 틈에서 망하리라. 원수들의 땅이 너희를 삼키리라.
  4. 너희 가운데 살아 남은 자들은 원수들의 땅에서 제 죄벌을 받아 스러져가리라. 거기에다가 조상들의 죄벌까지 받아 스러져가리라.
 
  천답(踐踏, 26:37)  두려움으로 인하여 서로 앞다투어 도망 가다가 넘어져서 밟고 밟히는 상태
