신명기 11:1-12:28

 모세는 하나님의 규례와 법도를 지키는 자가 받을 복과 거역하는 자가 받을 저주에 대해 말하고 이것을 가나안 땅의 그리심 산과 에발 산에서 선포할 것을 명했다. 또한 그는 백성들에게 가나안에 정착한 후 우상을 타파하고, 오직 하나님이 택하신 곳에서 제물을 드리며, 그 곳에서 제물을 먹되 피는 먹지 말 것을 명령했다.
  
  말씀 순종에 따른 복과 저주(11:1-11:32)    
 
  1. "You shall therefore love the LORD your God, and always keep His charge, His statutes, His ordinances, and His commandments.
  2. "Know this day that I am not speaking with your sons who have not known and who have not seen the discipline of the LORD your God--His greatness, His mighty hand and His outstretched arm,
  3. and His signs and His works which He did in the midst of Egypt to Pharaoh the king of Egypt and to all his land;
  4. and what He did to Egypt's army, to its horses and its chariots, when He made the water of the Red Sea to engulf them while they were pursuing you, and the LORD completely destroyed them;
  5. and what He did to you in the wilderness until you came to this place;
  1. 그러므로 너희 하느님 야훼를 사랑하며, 너희에게 주신 그의 규정과 법령과 계명을 항상 지켜야 한다.
  2. 오늘 이 모든 것을 너희 자손들에게 가르쳐주어야 한다. 그들은 너희 하느님 야훼의 징계를 맛보지 못하였다. 하느님께서 위력을 발휘하시어 억센 손으로 내려치시고 팔을 뻗으시어
  3. 표적을 행하시며 이집트 한복판에서 이집트 왕 파라오와 파라오의 온 나라를 해치우시는 것을 본 일이 없다.
  4. 또 너희의 뒤를 쫓던 이집트 군대와 군마와 병거를 홍해 물로 휩쓸어버리시고 오늘까지 두 번 다시 얼씬도 못하게 없애버리신 것과
  5. 너희가 이 곳에 이르기까지 광야에서 너희에게 해주신 일을 보지 못하였다.
  1. and what He did to Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, the son of Reuben, when the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them, their households, their tents, and every living thing that followed them, among all Israel--
  2. but your own eyes have seen all the great work of the LORD which He did.
  3. "You shall therefore keep every commandment which I am commanding you today, so that you may be strong and go in and possess the land into which you are about to cross to possess it;
  4. so that you may prolong your days on the land which the LORD swore to your fathers to give to them and to their descendants, a land flowing with milk and honey.
  5. "For the land, into which you are entering to possess it, is not like the land of Egypt from which you came, where you used to sow your seed and water it with your foot like a vegetable garden.
  1. 또 르우벤의 손자이자 엘리압의 아들인 다단과 아비람을 엄히 다루시어, 땅으로 하여금 입을 벌려 온 이스라엘 가운데서 그들의 집안과 천막과 제 발로 걸어다니는 모든 것을 함께 삼켜버리게 하시는 것을 보지 못하였다. 그러나
  2. 너희는 야훼께서 하신 이 모든 엄청난 일을 눈으로 보았다.
  3. 그러니 너희는 내가 오늘 너희에게 내리는 모든 명령을 지켜야 한다. 그래야 너희는 힘을 얻어 너희가 이제 건너가 차지하려는 땅에 들어가 그 땅을 과연 차지할 수 있을 것이다.
  4. 또한 야훼께서 너희의 선조들과 그 후손에게 주겠다고 맹세하신 땅, 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 땅에서 오래 살 것이다.
  5. 너희가 들어가 차지하려는 땅은 너희가 나온 이집트 땅과는 다르다. 거기에서는 씨를 심은 다음 채소밭에 물을 줄 때처럼 발을 놀려 물을 대어야 했지만,
  1. "But the land into which you are about to cross to possess it, a land of hills and valleys, drinks water from the rain of heaven,
  2. a land for which the LORD your God cares; the eyes of the LORD your God are always on it, from the beginning even to the end of the year.
  3. "It shall come about, if you listen obediently to my commandments which I am commanding you today, to love the LORD your God and to serve Him with all your heart and all your soul,
  4. that He will give the rain for your land in its season, the early and late rain, that you may gather in your grain and your new wine and your oil.
  5. "He will give grass in your fields for your cattle, and you will eat and be satisfied.
  1. 너희가 건너가 차지하려는 땅은 산과 골짜기가 많은 곳이어서 하늘에서 내리는 빗물로 땅을 적신다.
  2. 그 땅은 이렇게 너희 하느님 야훼께서 몸소 돌보아 주시는 땅, 해마다 정초부터 섣달 그믐날까지 너희 하느님 야훼께서 눈을 떼지 않으시고 보살펴 주시는 땅이다.
  3. 오늘 너희에게 내리는 나의 명령을 귀담아들어 너희의 하느님 야훼를 사랑하여라. 마음을 다 기울이고 정성을 다 쏟아 그를 섬겨라.
  4. 그리하면 그가 너희 땅에 가을비와 봄비를 철에 맞게 내려주시어, 밀과 술과 기름을 거두게 해주시고
  5. 들에는 너희 가축이 뜯어먹을 풀이 자라나게 해주실 것이다. 그리하여 너희는 배불리 먹으며 잘살게 될 것이다.
  1. "Beware that your hearts are not deceived, and that you do not turn away and serve other gods and worship them.
  2. "Or the anger of the LORD will be kindled against you, and He will shut up the heavens so that there will be no rain and the ground will not yield its fruit; and you will perish quickly from the good land which the LORD is giving you.
  3. "You shall therefore impress these words of mine on your heart and on your soul; and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontals on your forehead.
  4. "You shall teach them to your sons, talking of them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road and when you lie down and when you rise up.
  5. "You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates,
  1. 마음이 변하여 다른 신들에게 끌려 그 앞에 엎드려 섬기는 일이 없도록 정신을 차려라.
  2. 야훼께서 너희에게 화를 내시어 하늘을 닫으시고 비를 내리지 아니하시어 밭에서 소출을 거두지 못하게 될 것이다. 그러면 너희는 야훼께 받은 그 기름진 땅에서 이내 사라지고 말 것이다.
  3. 그러므로 너희는 내가 일러준 이 말을 너희의 마음에 간직하고 골수에 새겨두어라. 너희의 손에 매어 표로 삼고 이마에 붙여 기호로 삼아라.
  4. 이것을 너희의 자손들에게 깨우쳐주어라. 집에서 쉴 때나 길을 갈 때나 자리에 들었을 때나 일어났을 때나 항상 말해 주어라.
  5. 또 문설주와 대문에 써 붙여라.
  1. so that your days and the days of your sons may be multiplied on the land which the LORD swore to your fathers to give them, as long as the heavens remain above the earth.
  2. "For if you are careful to keep all this commandment which I am commanding you to do, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways and hold fast to Him,
  3. then the LORD will drive out all these nations from before you, and you will dispossess nations greater and mightier than you.
  4. "Every place on which the sole of your foot treads shall be yours; your border will be from the wilderness to Lebanon, and from the river, the river Euphrates, as far as the western sea.
  5. "No man will be able to stand before you; the LORD your God will lay the dread of you and the fear of you on all the land on which you set foot, as He has spoken to you.
  1. 그리하여야 야훼께서 너희 선조들에게 주시겠다고 맹세하신 땅에서 너희와 너희 자손들이, 땅 위에 펼쳐진 하늘이 오래가듯, 오래 지속될 것이다.
  2. 너희는 내가 내리는 이 모든 명령을 성심껏 지켜 그대로 실천하여라. 너희 하느님 야훼를 사랑하고 그가 가르쳐주신 길을 걸어 그에게만 충성을 바쳐라.
  3. 그리하면 야훼께서 이 모든 민족들을 너희 앞에서 쫓아내실 것이다. 너희는 너희보다 강대한 민족들에게서 땅을 빼앗을 것이다.
  4. 너희의 발이 닿는 곳은 어디든지 너희의 소유가 될 것이다. 너희의 땅 경계는 광야에서 레바논에 이르고 큰 강 유프라테스에서 지중해에까지 이를 것이다.
  5. 세상에 너희와 맞설 사람은 하나도 없을 것이다. 너희 하느님 야훼께서는 약속해 주신 대로, 너희의 발이 닿는 곳이면 어디에서나 모두들 너희를 두려워하며 떨게 하시리라.
  1. "See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse:
  2. the blessing, if you listen to the commandments of the LORD your God, which I am commanding you today;
  3. and the curse, if you do not listen to the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside from the way which I am commanding you today, by following other gods which you have not known.
  4. "It shall come about, when the LORD your God brings you into the land where you are entering to possess it, that you shall place the blessing on Mount Gerizim and the curse on Mount Ebal.
  5. "Are they not across the Jordan, west of the way toward the sunset, in the land of the Canaanites who live in the Arabah, opposite Gilgal, beside the oaks of Moreh?
  1. 보아라. 오늘 내가 너희 앞에 복과 저주를 내놓는다.
  2. 내가 오늘 너희에게 내리는 너희 하느님 야훼의 명령에 복종하여 복을 받겠느냐?
  3. 아니면 너희 하느님 야훼의 명령에 불복하여 내가 오늘 너희에게 명령하는 길에서 벗어나 알지도 못하던 다른 신들을 따라가서 저주를 받겠느냐?
  4. 네가 이제 들어가 차지하려는 땅으로 너희 하느님 야훼께서 이끌어주셔서 그리로 들어가게 되거든, 그리짐 산에서는 복을 선포하고 에발 산에서는 저주를 선포하여라.
  5. 이 두 산은 너희가 알다시피 요르단 강 건너 해 지는 쪽, 아라바에 사는 가나안 사람들의 땅에 있는데 길갈을 마주보며 서 있고 그 옆에는 모레의 상수리나무가 서 있다.
  1. "For you are about to cross the Jordan to go in to possess the land which the LORD your God is giving you, and you shall possess it and live in it,
  2. and you shall be careful to do all the statutes and the judgments which I am setting before you today.
  1. 너희는 이제 곧 요르단을 건너 너희 하느님 야훼께서 주시는 땅에 들어가 차지하게 된다. 그 땅을 차지하고 자리를 잡거든
  2. 내가 오늘 너희 앞에 내놓는 규정과 법령을 성심껏 실천하여야 한다.
 
  하나님께 예배드릴 처소(12:1-12:28)    
 
  1. "These are the statutes and the judgments which you shall carefully observe in the land which the LORD, the God of your fathers, has given you to possess as long as you live on the earth.
  2. "You shall utterly destroy all the places where the nations whom you shall dispossess serve their gods, on the high mountains and on the hills and under every green tree.
  3. "You shall tear down their altars and smash their sacred pillars and burn their Asherim with fire, and you shall cut down the engraved images of their gods and obliterate their name from that place.
  4. "You shall not act like this toward the LORD your God.
  5. "But you shall seek the LORD at the place which the LORD your God will choose from all your tribes, to establish His name there for His dwelling, and there you shall come.
  1. 이것이 너희가 성심껏 실천해야 할 규정이요 법령이다. 너희 선조의 하느님 야훼께서 너희에게 주시어 차지하게 하신 땅에서 실천해야 할 것, 너희가 땅 위에 살아 있는 한 언제까지나 실천해야 할 것이다.
  2. 너희는 너희가 이제 쫓아내게 될 민족들이 그들의 신을 섬기던 자리를 말끔히 허물어버려야 한다. 높은 산이든 언덕 위든 무성한 나무 아래든 모조리 그렇게 해야 한다.
  3. 거기에 있는 제단은 무너뜨리고 석상은 부수어버리고 아세라 목상은 불태워 버려야 한다. 그들의 신상들을 깨뜨려버려야 한다. 그리하여 그 이름들을 그 자리에서 지워버려야 한다.
  4. 그러나 너희 하느님 야훼께는 그런 식으로 해드리지 못한다.
  5. 너희는 너희 하느님 야훼께서 당신의 이름을 붙이시고 당신께서 계시는 곳으로 삼으시려고 너희 모든 지파 가운데서 고르신 그 곳을 찾아 그리로 가야 한다.
  1. "There you shall bring your burnt offerings, your sacrifices, your tithes, the contribution of your hand, your votive offerings, your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herd and of your flock.
  2. "There also you and your households shall eat before the LORD your God, and rejoice in all your undertakings in which the LORD your God has blessed you.
  3. "You shall not do at all what we are doing here today, every man doing whatever is right in his own eyes;
  4. for you have not as yet come to the resting place and the inheritance which the LORD your God is giving you.
  5. "When you cross the Jordan and live in the land which the LORD your God is giving you to inherit, and He gives you rest from all your enemies around you so that you live in security,
  1. 너희의 번제물과 친교제물과 십일조와 흔들어 바치는 예물과 서원제물과 자원제물과 소와 양의 맏배를 그리로 가져다 바쳐야 한다.
  2. 그 곳이 너희 하느님 야훼를 모시고 먹으며 즐길 자리, 너희와 너희 식구들이 손으로 일해 얻은 모든 것, 너희 하느님 야훼께서 복으로 주신 모든 것을 먹으며 즐길 자리다.
  3. 오늘 우리는 여기에서 저마다 제멋대로 하지만, 거기에 가서는 그렇게 하지 못한다.
  4. 너희 하느님 야훼께서 너희에게 유산으로 주시는 정착지에 아직은 다다르지 않았기 때문이다.
  5. 너희가 요르단 강을 건너 들어가서 야훼 너희 하느님께서 너희에게 물려주시는 땅에 자리를 잡으면, 하느님께서는 너희로 하여금 주변에 있는 원수들에게 위협을 받지 않고 편히 살게 해주실 것이다.
  1. then it shall come about that the place in which the LORD your God will choose for His name to dwell, there you shall bring all that I command you: your burnt offerings and your sacrifices, your tithes and the contribution of your hand, and all your choice votive offerings which you will vow to the LORD.
  2. "And you shall rejoice before the LORD your God, you and your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, and the Levite who is within your gates, since he has no portion or inheritance with you.
  3. "Be careful that you do not offer your burnt offerings in every cultic place you see,
  4. but in the place which the LORD chooses in one of your tribes, there you shall offer your burnt offerings, and there you shall do all that I command you.
  5. "However, you may slaughter and eat meat within any of your gates, whatever you desire, according to the blessing of the LORD your God which He has given you; the unclean and the clean may eat of it, as of the gazelle and the deer.
  1. 그렇게 되거든 너희 하느님 야훼께서 당신의 이름을 두시려고 골라주신 곳으로 내가 명령한 모든 것, 번제물과 친교제물과 십일조와 흔들어 바치는 예물과 고르고 골라 야훼께 바치는 서원제물을 가져다 바쳐라.
  2. 너희는 너희 하느님 야훼를 모시고 그 앞에서 즐겨라. 너희뿐 아니라 너희 아들딸, 또 너희 남종과 여종, 또 너희처럼 유산으로 받은 몫이 따로 없이 너희 성문 안에서 사는 레위인들도 함께 즐기게 하여라.
  3. 부디 명심하여 눈에 든다고 아무데서나 번제를 드리는 일이 없도록 하여라.
  4. 야훼께서 너희 중 한 지파에서 한 곳을 고르실 터이니, 그 곳에서만 번제를 드리고 내가 너희에게 지시한 모든 것을 드릴 수 있다.
  5. 그러나 고기가 먹고 싶으면 너희 하느님 야훼께서 너희에게 복을 내려주신 대로 너희 성 안 어디에서든지 잡아먹을 수 있다. 정한 사람도 부정한 사람도 먹을 수 있다. 노루도 괜찮고 사슴도 괜찮다.
  1. "Only you shall not eat the blood; you are to pour it out on the ground like water.
  2. "You are not allowed to eat within your gates the tithe of your grain or new wine or oil, or the firstborn of your herd or flock, or any of your votive offerings which you vow, or your freewill offerings, or the contribution of your hand.
  3. "But you shall eat them before the LORD your God in the place which the LORD your God will choose, you and your son and daughter, and your male and female servants, and the Levite who is within your gates; and you shall rejoice before the LORD your God in all your undertakings.
  4. "Be careful that you do not forsake the Levite as long as you live in your land.
  5. "When the LORD your God extends your border as He has promised you, and you say, 'I will eat meat,' because you desire to eat meat, then you may eat meat, whatever you desire.
  1. 다만 피만은 먹지 마라. 피는 물처럼 땅에 쏟아버려야 한다.
  2. 그러나 십일조로 바친 밀과 술과 기름, 소와 양의 맏배, 서원하고 드리는 갖가지 서원제물과 자원제물과 흔들어 바치는 예물은 너희가 사는 성 안에서 먹을 수 없다.
  3. 이런 것은 너희 하느님 야훼께서 고르신 곳에서 야훼를 모시고 그 앞에서만 먹되 너희의 아들딸, 남종과 여종, 그리고 너희 성 안에 사는 레위인과 함께 먹어라. 너희 손으로 드린 이 모든 것은 너희 하느님 야훼를 모시고 그 앞에서만 즐길 수 있다.
  4. 너희는 삼가 그 땅에서 사는 동안 레위인들을 저버리지 않도록 하여라.
  5. 너희 하느님 야훼께서 약속해 주신 대로 너희 영토를 넓혀주셨을 때 고기가 먹고 싶으면 언제든지 고기를 먹을 수 있다.
  1. "If the place which the LORD your God chooses to put His name is too far from you, then you may slaughter of your herd and flock which the LORD has given you, as I have commanded you; and you may eat within your gates whatever you desire.
  2. "Just as a gazelle or a deer is eaten, so you will eat it; the unclean and the clean alike may eat of it.
  3. "Only be sure not to eat the blood, for the blood is the life, and you shall not eat the life with the flesh.
  4. "You shall not eat it; you shall pour it out on the ground like water.
  5. "You shall not eat it, so that it may be well with you and your sons after you, for you will be doing what is right in the sight of the LORD.
  1. 너희 하느님 야훼께서 당신의 이름을 두시려고 고르신 그 곳이 멀 경우에는 야훼께서 주신 소나 양을 내가 지시한 대로 잡아먹을 수 있는데 언제든지 너희가 사는 성 안에서 먹을 수 있다.
  2. 노루나 사슴을 먹듯이 먹을 수 있다. 정한 사람도 부정한 사람도 먹을 수 있다.
  3. 그러나 어떤 일이 있어도 피만은 먹지 못한다. 피는 곧 생명이라, 생명은 고기와 함께 먹을 수 없기 때문이다.
  4. 피는 먹지 말고 물처럼 땅에 쏟아버려라.
  5. 그것을 먹어서는 안 된다. 이렇게 야훼께서 보시기에 바른 일을 해야 너도 잘되고 네 후손도 잘되리라.
  1. "Only your holy things which you may have and your votive offerings, you shall take and go to the place which the LORD chooses.
  2. "And you shall offer your burnt offerings, the flesh and the blood, on the altar of the LORD your God; and the blood of your sacrifices shall be poured out on the altar of the LORD your God, and you shall eat the flesh.
  3. "Be careful to listen to all these words which I command you, so that it may be well with you and your sons after you forever, for you will be doing what is good and right in the sight of the LORD your God.
  1. 너희에게 있는 어떤 거룩한 것이나 너희가 바치기로 서원한 제물은 야훼께서 고르신 곳으로 가지고 가야 하는데,
  2. 번제를 드릴 때에는 너희 하느님 야훼의 제단에 고기와 함께 피도 바쳐야 한다. 다른 제물을 바칠 때에는 너희 하느님 야훼의 제단에 피만 붓고 고기는 너희가 먹어라.
  3. 아무쪼록 내가 너희에게 내리는 이 모든 명령을 듣고 그대로 실천하여라. 이렇게 너희 하느님 야훼 보시기에 좋고 바른 일을 해야 너뿐 아니라 너의 후손도 길이 잘될 것이다.
