- Therefore the Jews were grumbling about Him, because He said, "I am the bread that came down out of heaven."
- They were saying, "Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How does He now say, 'I have come down out of heaven'?"
- Jesus answered and said to them, "Do not grumble among yourselves.
- "No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day.
- "It is written in the prophets, 'AND THEY SHALL ALL BE TAUGHT OF GOD.' Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father, comes to Me.

- 이 때 유다인들은 "나는 하늘에서 내려온 빵이다." 하신 예수의 말씀이 못마땅해서 웅성거리기 시작하였다.
- "아니, 저 사람은 요셉의 아들 예수가 아닌가? 그의 부모도 우리가 다 알고 있는 터인데 자기가 하늘에서 내려왔다니 말이 되는가?"
- 그 말을 들으시고 예수께서는 "무엇이 그렇게 못마땅하냐?
- 나를 보내신 아버지께서 이끌어주시지 않으면 아무도 내게 올 수 없다. 그리고 내게 오는 사람은 마지막 날에 내가 살릴 것이다.
- 예언서에 그들은 모두 하느님의 가르침을 받을 것이라고 기록되어 있다. 누구든지 아버지의 가르침을 듣고 배우는 사람은 나에게로 온다.

- "Not that anyone has seen the Father, except the One who is from God; He has seen the Father.
- "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life.
- "I am the bread of life.
- "Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died.
- "This is the bread which comes down out of heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die.

- 그렇다고 해서 아버지를 본 사람이 있다는 것은 아니다. 하느님께로부터 온 이밖에는 아버지를 본 사람이 없다.
- 정말 잘 들어두어라. 믿는 사람은 누구나 영원한 생명을 누린다.
- 나는 생명의 빵이다.
- 너희의 조상들은 광야에서 만나를 먹고도 다 죽었지만
- 하늘에서 내려온 이 빵을 먹는 사람은 죽지 않는다.

- "I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread also which I will give for the life of the world is My flesh."
- Then the Jews began to argue with one another, saying, "How can this man give us His flesh to eat?"
- So Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves.
- "He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.
- "For My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink.

- 나는 하늘에서 내려온 살아 있는 빵이다. 이 빵을 먹는 사람은 누구든지 영원히 살 것이다. 내가 줄 빵은 곧 나의 살이다. 세상은 그것으로 생명을 얻게 될 것이다." 하고 말씀하셨다.
- 유다인들이 이 말씀을 듣고 "이 사람이 어떻게 자기 살을 우리에게 먹으라고 내어줄 수 있단 말인가?" 하며 서로 따졌다.
- 예수께서는 다시 이렇게 말씀하셨다. "정말 잘 들어두어라. 만일 너희가 사람의 아들의 살과 피를 먹고 마시지 않으면 너희 안에 생명을 간직하지 못할 것이다.
- 그러나 내 살을 먹고 내 피를 마시는 사람은 영원한 생명을 누릴 것이며 내가 마지막 날에 그를 살릴 것이다.
- 내 살은 참된 양식이며 내 피는 참된 음료이기 때문이다.

- "He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.
- "As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats Me, he also will live because of Me.
- "This is the bread which came down out of heaven; not as the fathers ate and died; he who eats this bread will live forever."
- These things He said in the synagogue as He taught in Capernaum.
- Therefore many of His disciples, when they heard this said, "This is a difficult statement; who can listen to it?"

- 내 살을 먹고 내 피를 마시는 사람은 내 안에서 살고 나도 그 안에서 산다.
- 살아 계신 아버지께서 나를 보내셨고 내가 아버지의 힘으로 사는 것과 같이 나를 먹는 사람도 나의 힘으로 살 것이다.
- 이것이 바로 하늘에서 내려온 빵이다. 이 빵은 너희의 조상들이 먹고도 결국 죽어간 그런 빵이 아니다. 이 빵을 먹는 사람은 영원히 살 것이다."
- 이것은 예수께서 가파르나움 회당에서 가르치실 때 하신 말씀이다.
- 제자들 가운데 여럿이 이 말씀을 듣고 "이렇게 말씀이 어려워서야 누가 알아들을 수 있겠는가?" 하며 수군거렸다.

- But Jesus, conscious that His disciples grumbled at this, said to them, "Does this cause you to stumble?
- "What then if you see the Son of Man ascending to where He was before?
- "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.
- "But there are some of you who do not believe " For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who it was that would betray Him.
- And He was saying, "For this reason I have said to you, that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted him from the Father."

- 예수께서 제자들이 당신의 말씀을 못마땅해 하는 것을 알아채시고 "내 말이 귀에 거슬리느냐?
- 사람의 아들이 전에 있던 곳으로 올라가는 것을 보게 되면 어떻게 하겠느냐?
- 육적인 것은 아무 쓸모가 없지만 영적인 것은 생명을 준다. 내가 너희에게 한 말은 영적인 것이며 생명이다.
- 그러나 너희 가운데는 믿지 않는 사람들이 있다." 하고 말씀하셨다. 예수께서는 믿지 않는 사람들이 누구며 자기를 배반할 자가 누구인지 처음부터 알고 계셨던 것이다.
- 예수께서는 또 이어서 "그래서 나는 아버지께서 허락하신 사람이 아니면 나에게 올 수 없다고 말했던 것이다." 하고 말씀하셨다.

- As a result of this many of His disciples withdrew and were not walking with Him anymore.
- So Jesus said to the twelve, "You do not want to go away also, do you?"
- Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life.
- "We have believed and have come to know that You are the Holy One of God."
- Jesus answered them, "Did I Myself not choose you, the twelve, and yet one of you is a devil?"

- 이 때부터 많은 제자들이 예수를 버리고 물러갔으며 더 이상 따라다니지 않았다.
- 그래서 예수께서는 열두 제자를 보시고 "자, 너희는 어떻게 하겠느냐? 너희도 떠나가겠느냐?" 하고 물으셨다.
- 그러자 시몬 베드로가 나서서 "주님, 주님께서 영원한 생명을 주는 말씀을 가지셨는데 우리가 주님을 두고 누구를 찾아가겠습니까?
- 우리는 주님께서 하느님이 보내신 거룩한 분이심을 믿고 또 압니다." 하고 대답하였다.
- 그러자 예수께서는 "너희 열둘은 내가 뽑은 사람들이 아니냐? 그러나 너희 가운데 하나는 악마이다." 하고 말씀하셨다.

- Now He meant Judas the son of Simon Iscariot, for he, one of the twelve, was going to betray Him.
|
- 이것은 가리옷 사람 시몬의 아들 유다를 가리켜 하신 말씀이었다. 유다는 비록 열두 제자 가운데 하나였지만 나중에 예수를 배반할 자였다.
