- "Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.
- "In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.
- "If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.
- "And you know the way where I am going."
- Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?"

- "너희는 걱정하지 마라. 하느님을 믿고 또 나를 믿어라.
- 내 아버지 집에는 있을 곳이 많다. 그리고 나는 너희가 있을 곳을 마련하러 간다. 만일 거기에 있을 곳이 없다면 내가 이렇게 말하겠느냐?
- 가서 너희가 있을 곳을 마련하면 다시 와서 너희를 데려다가 내가 있는 곳에 같이 있게 하겠다.
- 너희는 내가 어디로 가는지 그 길을 알고 있다."
- 그러자 토마가 "주님, 저희는 주님이 어디로 가시는지도 모르는데 어떻게 그 길을 알겠습니까?" 하고 말하였다.

- Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.
- "If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him."
- Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us."
- Jesus said to him, "Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, 'Show us the Father'?
- "Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works.

- 예수께서는 "나는 길이요 진리요 생명이다. 나를 거치지 않고서는 아무도 아버지께 갈 수 없다.
- 너희가 나를 알았으니 나의 아버지도 알게 될 것이다. 이제부터 너희는 그분을 알게 되었다. 아니 이미 뵈었다." 하고 말씀하셨다.
- 이번에는 필립보가 "주님, 저희에게 아버지를 뵙게 하여주시면 더 바랄 것이 없겠습니다." 하고 간청하였다.
- 예수께서는 이렇게 대답하셨다. "필립보야, 들어라. 내가 이토록 오랫동안 너희와 같이 지냈는데도 너는 나를 모른다는 말이냐? 나를 보았으면 곧 아버지를 본 것이다. 그런데도 아버지를 뵙게 해달라니 무슨 말이냐?
- 너는 내가 아버지 안에 있고 아버지께서 내 안에 계시다는 것을 믿지 않느냐? 내가 너희에게 하는 말도 나 스스로 하는 말이 아니라 아버지께서 내 안에 계시면서 몸소 하시는 일이다.

- "Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because of the works themselves.
- "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.
- "Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
- "If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.
- "If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.

- 내가 아버지 안에 있고 아버지께서 내 안에 계시다고 한 말을 믿어라. 못 믿겠거든 내가 하는 이 일들을 보아서라도 믿어라.
- 정말 잘 들어두어라. 나를 믿는 사람은 내가 하는 일을 할 뿐만 아니라 그보다 더 큰 일도 하게 될 것이다. 그것은 내가 이제 아버지께 가서
- 너희가 내 이름으로 구하는 것이면 무엇이든지 이루어주겠기 때문이다. 그러면 아들로 말미암아 아버지께서 영광을 받으실 것이다.
- 너희가 내 이름으로 구하는 것이면 무엇이든지 다 내가 이루어주겠다."
- "너희가 나를 사랑하면 내 계명을 지키게 될 것이다.
