열왕기하 15:1-16:20

 남유다는 아사랴와 요담의 선정을 통하여 비교적 안정을 누렸으나, 북이스라엘은 무려 다섯 명의 왕들(스가랴, 살룸, 므나헴, 브가히야, 베가)이 계속 악을 행하여 반역으로 정권을 교체하였고, 결국 하나님의 심판으로 멸망하였다. 또한, 남유다 왕들 중에서 드물게 사악했던 왕 아하스 왕은 우상을 숭배하는 가증한 죄를 범하였으며, 하나님의 징벌로 아람과 북이스라엘의 침공을 당했을 때는 하나님보다 앗수르 왕을 의지하는 죄악을 자행하였다.
  
  아사랴의 유다 통치(15:1-15:7)    
 
  1. In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah became king.
  2. He was sixteen years old when he became king, and he reigned fifty-two years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Jecoliah of Jerusalem.
  3. He did right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah had done.
  4. Only the high places were not taken away; the people still sacrificed and burned incense on the high places.
  5. The LORD struck the king, so that he was a leper to the day of his death And he lived in a separate house, while Jotham the king's son was over the household, judging the people of the land.
  1. 아마지야의 아들 우찌야가 유다 왕이 된 것은 이스라엘 왕 여로보암 제이십칠년의 일이었다.
  2. 그는 십육 세에 왕위에 올라 예루살렘에서 오십이 년 동안 다스렸다. 그의 어머니는 예루살렘 출신으로서 이름을 여골리야라고 하였다.

  2. And Azariah slept with his fathers, and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David, and Jotham his son became king in his place.
  1. 우찌야의 나머지 치적과 행적은 유다 왕조실록에 기록되어 있다.
  2. 우찌야는 선조들과 함께 잠들어 다윗 성 안에 안장되었다. 그의 아들 요담이 왕위를 계승하였다.
 
  북이스라엘 왕들의 악정(15:8-15:31)    
 
  1. In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah king of Judah, Zechariah the son of Jeroboam became king over Israel in Samaria for six months.
  2. He did evil in the sight of the LORD, as his fathers had done; he did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which he made Israel sin.
  3. Then Shallum the son of Jabesh conspired against him and struck him before the people and killed him, and reigned in his place.
  4. Now the rest of the acts of Zechariah, behold they are written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
  5. This is the word of the LORD which He spoke to Jehu, saying, "Your sons to the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel." And so it was.
  1. 여로보암의 아들 즈가리야가 이스라엘의 왕이 된 것은 유다 왕 우찌야 제삼십팔년의 일이었다. 그는 사마리아에서 육 개월간 다스렸다.
  2. 그는 선조들이 그러하였던 것과 같이 야훼 보시기에 악한 일을 행하였다. 그는 이스라엘을 죄에 빠뜨렸던 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 죄를 떠나지 못하고 그 악습을 되풀이하였다.

  1. Shallum son of Jabesh became king in the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah king of Judah, and he reigned one month in Samaria.
  2. Then Menahem son of Gadi went up from Tirzah and came to Samaria, and struck Shallum son of Jabesh in Samaria, and killed him and became king in his place.
  3. Now the rest of the acts of Shallum and his conspiracy which he made, behold they are written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
  4. Then Menahem struck Tiphsah and all who were in it and its borders from Tirzah, because they did not open to him; therefore he struck it and ripped up all its women who were with child.
  5. In the thirty-ninth year of Azariah king of Judah, Menahem son of Gadi became king over Israel and reigned ten years in Samaria.
  1. 야베스의 아들 살룸이 이스라엘의 왕이 된 것은 유다 왕 우찌야 제삼십구년의 일이었다. 그는 사마리아에서 일 개월간 다스렸다.
  2. 가디의 아들 므나헴이 디르사에서 반란을 일으켜 사마리아로 쳐 올라와서 야베스의 아들 살룸을 죽이고 왕위를 빼앗았다.
  3. 살룸의 나머지 치적과 그가 꾸몄던 음모는 이스라엘 왕조실록에 기록되어 있다.
  4. 왕이 되고 나서 므나헴은 성문을 열어주지 않던 다부아 성을 쳐 그 안에 살던 사람을 모두 죽이고 디르사에서 시작하여 온 지역을 쳤다. 심지어 임신한 여자들의 배를 가르기까지 하였다.
  5. 가디의 아들 므나헴이 이스라엘의 왕이 된 것은 유다 왕 우찌야 제삼십구년의 일이었다. 그는 사마리아에서 십 년간 다스렸다.
  1. He did evil in the sight of the LORD; he did not depart all his days from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which he made Israel sin.
  2. Pul, king of Assyria, came against the land, and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver so that his hand might be with him to strengthen the kingdom under his rule.
  3. Then Menahem exacted the money from Israel, even from all the mighty men of wealth, from each man fifty shekels of silver to pay the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria returned and did not remain there in the land.
  4. Now the rest of the acts of Menahem and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
  5. And Menahem slept with his fathers, and Pekahiah his son became king in his place.
  1. 그는 야훼 보시기에 악한 일을 행하였다. 이스라엘을 죄에 빠뜨렸던 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 죄를 떠나지 않고 그 악습을 되풀이하였다. 그가 다스리던 때에
  2. 아시리아 왕 불이 이스라엘을 침입한 일이 있었다. 므나헴은 왕의 자리를 지키도록 도와달라고 하며 은 천 달란트를 불에게 주었다.
  3. 그 은은 이스라엘의 모든 부자에게 각각 오십 세겔씩 내도록 하여 거둔 것이었다. 이 돈을 받고 아시리아 왕은 이스라엘 땅에 머무르지 아니하고 돌아갔다.

  1. In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekahiah son of Menahem became king over Israel in Samaria, and reigned two years.
  2. He did evil in the sight of the LORD; he did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he made Israel sin.
  3. Then Pekah son of Remaliah, his officer, conspired against him and struck him in Samaria, in the castle of the king's house with Argob and Arieh; and with him were fifty men of the Gileadites, and he killed him and became king in his place.
  4. Now the rest of the acts of Pekahiah and all that he did, behold they are written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
  5. In the fifty-second year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekah son of Remaliah became king over Israel in Samaria, and reigned twenty years.
  1. 므나헴의 아들 브가히야가 이스라엘 왕위에 오른 것은 유다 왕 우찌야 제오십년의 일이었다. 그는 사마리아에서 이 년간 다스렸다.
  2. 그는 야훼 보시기에 악한 일을 행하였다. 이스라엘을 죄에 빠뜨렸던 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 죄를 버리지 않고 그 악습을 되풀이하였다.

  1. He did evil in the sight of the LORD; he did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he made Israel sin.
  2. In the days of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria came and captured Ijon and Abel-beth-maacah and Janoah and Kedesh and Hazor and Gilead and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali; and he carried them captive to Assyria.
  3. And Hoshea the son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekah the son of Remaliah, and struck him and put him to death and became king in his place, in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of Uzziah.
  4. Now the rest of the acts of Pekah and all that he did, behold, they are written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
  1. 그는 야훼 보시기에 악한 일을 행하였다. 이스라엘을 죄에 빠뜨렸던 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 죄를 버리지 않았고 그 악습을 되풀이하였다.
  2. 베가가 이스라엘의 왕위에 있을 때 아시리아 왕 디글랏빌레셀이 쳐들어와서 이욘, 아벨벳마아가, 야노아, 케데스, 하솔, 길르앗, 갈릴리와 납달리 전지역을 장악하고 백성들을 사로잡아 아시리아로 끌고 갔다.
  3. 우찌야의 아들 요담 제이십년에 엘라의 아들 호세아가 반란을 일으켜 르말리야의 아들 베가를 죽이고 왕위를 빼앗았다.
  4. 베가의 나머지 치적과 행적은 이스라엘 왕조실록에 기록되어 있다.
 
  요담, 아하스의 유다 통치(15:32-16:20)    
 
  1. In the second year of Pekah the son of Remaliah king of Israel, Jotham the son of Uzziah king of Judah became king.
  2. He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Jerusha the daughter of Zadok.
  3. He did what was right in the sight of the LORD; he did according to all that his father Uzziah had done.
  4. Only the high places were not taken away; the people still sacrificed and burned incense on the high places He built the upper gate of the house of the LORD.
  5. Now the rest of the acts of Jotham and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
  1. 유다 왕 우찌야의 아들 요담이 왕위에 오른 것은 이스라엘 왕 르말리야의 아들 베가 제이년의 일이었다.
  2. 그는 이십오 세에 왕위에 즉위하여 예루살렘에서 십육 년간 다스렸다. 그의 어머니는 사독의 딸 여루사였다.
  3. 그는 부왕 우찌야가 그러했듯이 야훼 보시기에 옳은 일을 행하였다.
  4. 그러나 산당은 여전히 남겨두었으므로 백성들이 그 산당에서 번제를 드리고 향을 피웠다. 그가 바로 야훼의 전 윗대문을 세운 장본인이다.

  1. In those days the LORD began to send Rezin king of Aram and Pekah the son of Remaliah against Judah.
  2. And Jotham slept with his fathers, and he was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father; and Ahaz his son became king in his place.
  1. 이 시대에 야훼께서는 시리아 왕 르신과 이스라엘 왕 르말리야의 아들 베가를 시켜 유다를 공격하기 시작하셨다.
  2. 요담은 그 선조들과 함께 잠들어 조상 다윗의 성에 안장되었다. 그의 아들 아하즈가 뒤를 이어 왕위에 올랐다.
 
 
  1. In the seventeenth year of Pekah the son of Remaliah, Ahaz the son of Jotham, king of Judah, became king.
  2. Ahaz was twenty years old when he became king, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem; and he did not do what was right in the sight of the LORD his God, as his father David had done.
  3. But he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, and even made his son pass through the fire, according to the abominations of the nations whom the LORD had driven out from before the sons of Israel.
  4. He sacrificed and burned incense on the high places and on the hills and under every green tree.
  5. Then Rezin king of Aram and Pekah son of Remaliah, king of Israel, came up to Jerusalem to wage war; and they besieged Ahaz, but could not overcome him.
  1. 유다 왕 요담의 아들 아하즈가 왕위에 오른 것은 르말리야의 아들 베가 제십칠년의 일이었다.
  2. 아하즈는 이십 세에 왕위에 올라 예루살렘에서 십육 년간 다스렸다. 그는 태조 다윗처럼 자기 하느님 야훼의 눈에 드는 바른 정치를 펴지 못하고
  3. 이스라엘 왕들의 전철을 밟았다. 그는 야훼께서 이스라엘 백성의 면전에서 쫓아낸 민족들의 고약한 풍속을 본받아 자기의 아들을 불에 살라 바쳤다.
  4. 짐승을 잡아 산당과 산마루에서, 또 우거진 나무 그늘에서 번제를 드리고 향을 피웠다.
  5. 그가 왕위에 있을 때 시리아 왕 르신과 이스라엘 왕 르말리야의 아들 베가가 쳐 올라와 예루살렘을 포위하고 아하즈를 독 안에 든 쥐로 만들었지만 싸움 마당에 끌어내지는 못하였다.
  1. At that time Rezin king of Aram recovered Elath for Aram, and cleared the Judeans out of Elath entirely; and the Arameans came to Elath and have lived there to this day.
  2. So Ahaz sent messengers to Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria, saying, "I am your servant and your son; come up and deliver me from the hand of the king of Aram and from the hand of the king of Israel, who are rising up against me."
  3. Ahaz took the silver and gold that was found in the house of the LORD and in the treasuries of the king's house, and sent a present to the king of Assyria.
  4. So the king of Assyria listened to him; and the king of Assyria went up against Damascus and captured it, and carried the people of it away into exile to Kir, and put Rezin to death.
  5. Now King Ahaz went to Damascus to meet Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria, and saw the altar which was at Damascus; and King Ahaz sent to Urijah the priest the pattern of the altar and its model, according to all its workmanship.
  1. 이 틈을 타서 에돔 왕은 엘랏을 탈환하여 에돔의 것으로 만들고 엘랏으로부터 유다 군을 쫓아내었다. 에돔 사람들은 그 곳을 차지하여 오늘날까지 살고 있다.
  2. 아하즈는 아시리아의 왕 디글랏빌레셀에게 사절단을 보내어 간청하였다. "나는 왕의 신하이며 아들입니다. 내가 지금 시리아 왕과 이스라엘 왕에게 공격을 당하고 있습니다. 오셔서 나를 그들의 손아귀에서 건져주시기 바랍니다."
  3. 아하즈는 야훼의 전과 왕실 금고에 있는 금은을 있는 대로 다 모아서 아시리아 왕에게 뇌물로 보냈다.
  4. 아시리아 왕은 아하즈의 간청을 받아들여 곧장 다마스쿠스로 쳐들어가 점령하고는 주민들을 사로잡아 키르로 끌고 갔다. 그리고 르신을 죽였다.
  5. 아하즈 왕은 아시리아 왕 디글랏빌레셀을 만나러 다마스쿠스로 갔다가 그 곳 다마스쿠스에 있는 제단을 보고, 그 제단의 모형과 자세한 도본을 만들어 사제 우리야에게 보냈다.
  1. So Urijah the priest built an altar; according to all that King Ahaz had sent from Damascus, thus Urijah the priest made it, before the coming of King Ahaz from Damascus.
  2. When the king came from Damascus, the king saw the altar; then the king approached the altar and went up to it,
  3. and burned his burnt offering and his meal offering, and poured his drink offering and sprinkled the blood of his peace offerings on the altar.
  4. The bronze altar, which was before the LORD, he brought from the front of the house, from between his altar and the house of the LORD, and he put it on the north side of his altar.
  5. Then King Ahaz commanded Urijah the priest, saying, "Upon the great altar burn the morning burnt offering and the evening meal offering and the king's burnt offering and his meal offering, with the burnt offering of all the people of the land and their meal offering and their drink offerings; and sprinkle on it all the blood of the burnt offering and all the blood of the sacrifice But the bronze altar shall be for me to inquire by."
  1. 사제 우리야는 아하즈 왕이 다마스쿠스에서 보낸 것을 본떠 제단을 만들기 시작하여 왕이 돌아오기 전에 완성하였다.
  2. 왕은 다마스쿠스에서 돌아와 그 제단을 보고 제단 있는 데로 올라가서
  3. 번제를 드리고 곡식예물과 제주를 바쳤다. 그리고 자기가 드리는 친교제물의 피를 제단에 뿌렸다.
  4. 그리고 야훼 앞에 있던 놋쇠 제단은 야훼의 전 앞에서 치웠다. 그것을 새 제단과 야훼의 전 사이에서 옮겨다가 새 제단의 북쪽 옆에 놓아두었다.
  5. 그런 뒤에 아하즈 왕은 사제 우리야에게 지시하였다. "이 큰 제단에서 아침의 번제물과 저녁의 곡식예물, 나의 번제물과 곡식예물, 일반 백성들이 바치는 번제물과 곡식예물과 제주를 드리도록 하시오. 그리고 번제물과 친교제물의 피를 모두 이 제단에 뿌리시오. 놋제단은 내가 야훼께 문의하는 데만 쓸 것이오."
  1. So Urijah the priest did according to all that King Ahaz commanded.
  2. Then King Ahaz cut off the borders of the stands, and removed the laver from them; he also took down the sea from the bronze oxen which were under it and put it on a pavement of stone.
  3. The covered way for the sabbath which they had built in the house, and the outer entry of the king, he removed from the house of the LORD because of the king of Assyria.
  4. Now the rest of the acts of Ahaz which he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
  5. So Ahaz slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David; and his son Hezekiah reigned in his place.
  1. 사제 우리야는 아하즈 왕의 지시대로 다 하였다.
  2. 아하즈 왕은 물두멍을 부수고 옆벽 판자와 놋대야를 걷어 치웠다. 그리고 놋으로 만든 황소가 받치고 있던 놋바다를 끌어내려 돌받침 위에 놓았다.
  3. 또한 아시리아 왕에게 충성을 보이기 위하여 야훼의 전 안에 마련되어 있던 어좌를 치우고 왕이 출입하던 성전의 바깥 대문을 봉하였다.
  4. 아하즈의 나머지 행적과 치적은 유다 왕조실록에 기록되어 있다.
  5. 아하즈는 숨을 거두고 그의 선조들과 나란히 다윗 성 안에 안장되었다. 그의 아들 히즈키야가 왕위를 계승하였다.
