- Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
- For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.
- For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh,
- so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
- For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.

- 그러므로 이제 그리스도 예수와 함께 사는 사람들은 결코 단죄받는 일이 없습니다.
- 그것은 그리스도 예수와 함께 생명을 누리게 하는 성령의 법이 나를 죄와 죽음의 법에서 해방시켜 주었기 때문입니다.
- 인간의 본성이 약하기 때문에 율법이 이룩할 수 없었던 것을 하느님께서 이룩하셨습니다. 하느님께서는 당신의 아들을 죄 많은 인간의 모습으로 보내어 그 육체를 죽이심으로써 이 세상의 죄를 없이 하셨습니다.
- 이렇게 해서 육체를 따라 살지 않고 성령을 따라 사는 우리 속에서 율법의 요구가 모두 이루어졌습니다.
- 육체를 따라 사는 사람들은 육체적인 것에 마음을 쓰고 성령을 따라 사는 사람들은 영적인 것에 마음을 씁니다.

- For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace,
- because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so,
- and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
- However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.
- If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness.

- 육체적인 것에 마음을 쓰면 죽음이 오고 영적인 것에 마음을 쓰면 생명과 평화가 옵니다.
- 육체적인 것에 마음을 쓰는 사람은 하느님의 율법에 복종하지도 않고 또 복종할 수도 없기 때문에 하느님의 원수가 되고 맙니다.
- 육체를 따라 사는 사람들은 하느님을 기쁘게 해드릴 수가 없습니다.
- 사실 하느님의 성령께서 여러분 안에 계시다면 여러분은 육체를 따라 사는 사람이 아니라 성령을 따라 사는 사람입니다. 그러나 그리스도의 성령을 모시지 못한 사람은 그리스도의 사람이 아닙니다.
- 비록 여러분의 몸은 죄 때문에 죽었을지라도 그리스도께서 여러분 안에 계시면 여러분은 이미 하느님과 올바른 관계에 있기 때문에 여러분의 영은 살아 있습니다.

- But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
- So then, brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh--
- for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
- For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
- For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, "Abba! Father!"

- 그리고 예수를 죽은 자들 가운데서 다시 살리신 분의 성령께서 여러분 안에 계시면 그리스도를 죽은 자들 가운데서 다시 살리신 분께서 여러분 안에 살아 계신 당신의 성령을 시켜 여러분의 죽을 몸까지도 살려주실 것입니다.
- 그러므로 형제 여러분, 우리는 과연 빚을 진 사람입니다. 그러나 육체에 빚을 진 것은 아닙니다. 그러니 우리는 육체를 따라 살 의무는 없습니다.
- 육체를 따라 살면 여러분은 죽습니다. 그러나 성령의 힘으로 육체의 악한 행실을 죽이면 삽니다.
- 누구든지 하느님의 성령의 인도를 따라 사는 사람은 하느님의 자녀입니다.
- 여러분이 받은 성령은 여러분을 다시 노예로 만들어서 공포에 몰아넣으시는 분이 아니라 여러분을 하느님의 자녀로 만들어주시는 분이십니다. 그래서 우리는 그 성령에 힘입어 하느님을 "아빠, 아버지!"라고 부릅니다.

- The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God,
- and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.

- 바로 그 성령께서 우리가 하느님의 자녀라는 것을 증명해 주십니다. 또 우리의 마음속에도 그러한 확신이 있습니다.
- 자녀가 되면 또한 상속자도 되는 것입니다. 과연 우리는 하느님의 상속자로서 그리스도와 함께 상속을 받을 사람입니다. 우리가 그리스도와 함께 고난을 받고 있으니 영광도 그와 함께 받을 것이 아닙니까?
