이사야

  주전 8세기 전반기에 앗수르의 세력이 날로 강해지는 상황에서 이사야는 이스라엘과 유다, 그리고 주변 국가들의 죄악상을 고발하고 그들에게 임할 하나님의 심판을 선포한다. 더 나아가 이사야는 바벨론의 멸망과 이스라엘의 회복, 그리고 그리스도의 수난과 메시아 왕국에까지 예언을 확대시키고 있다,

  1장부터 39장까지는 유다의 우상 숭배와 부도덕함, 사회 부정 고발, 열국들에게 다가올 심판과 메시아의 예언을 기록하고 있다. 40장부터 66장까지에는 하나님의 구속적 사랑을 통해 이스라엘과 열국 중에 의로운 남은 자들을 회복시키신다는 약속과 메시아를 통한 구원을 예언하고 있다.

 

 

이사야 1:1-2:22

 이사야는 유다와 예루살렘에 관한 이상을 보았는데, 그 이상 가운데 야웨께서 그를 따르지 않는 이스라엘을 책망하셨다고 하였다. 그러나 이스라엘 백성들의 심각한 죄에도 불구하고 하나님께로 돌이켜 순종하면 용서함을 받을 수 있지만, 거역하면 심판을 받게 될 것이라고 하였다.
  
  패역한 족속(1:1-1:31)    
 
  1. The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz concerning Judah and Jerusalem, which he saw during the reigns of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.
  2. Listen, O heavens, and hear, O earth; For the LORD speaks, "Sons I have reared and brought up, But they have revolted against Me.
  3. "An ox knows its owner, And a donkey its master's manger, But Israel does not know, My people do not understand."
  4. Alas, sinful nation, People weighed down with iniquity, Offspring of evildoers, Sons who act corruptly! They have abandoned the LORD, They have despised the Holy One of Israel, They have turned away from Him.
  5. Where will you be stricken again, As you continue in your rebellion? The whole head is sick And the whole heart is faint.
  1. 이사야가 받은 계시. 이것은 아모쓰의 아들 이사야가 유다 왕 우찌야, 요담, 아하즈, 히즈키야의 시대에 유다와 예루살렘이 어찌 될 것인지를 내다본 것이다.
  2. 하늘아 들어라, 땅아 귀를 기울여라. 야훼께서 말씀하신다. "자식이라 기르고 키웠더니 도리어 나에게 반항하는구나.
  3. 소도 제 임자를 알고 나귀도 주인이 만들어준 구유를 아는데 이스라엘은 아무것도 알지 못하고 내 백성은 철없이 구는구나."
  4. 아! 탈선한 민족, 불의로 가득 찬 백성, 사악한 종자, 부패한 자식들. 야훼를 떠나고 이스라엘의 거룩하신 분을 업신여기고 그를 배반하여 돌아섰구나.
  5. 아직도 덜 맞아서 엇나가기만 하는가? 머리는 상처투성이고 속은 온통 병이 들었으며
  1. From the sole of the foot even to the head There is nothing sound in it, Only bruises, welts and raw wounds, Not pressed out or bandaged, Nor softened with oil.
  2. Your land is desolate, Your cities are burned with fire, Your fields--strangers are devouring them in your presence; It is desolation, as overthrown by strangers.
  3. The daughter of Zion is left like a shelter in a vineyard, Like a watchman's hut in a cucumber field, like a besieged city.
  4. Unless the LORD of hosts Had left us a few survivors, We would be like Sodom, We would be like Gomorrah.
  5. Hear the word of the LORD, You rulers of Sodom; Give ear to the instruction of our God, You people of Gomorrah.
  1. 발바닥에서 정수리까지 성한 데가 없이 상하고 멍들고 맞아 터졌는데도 짜내고 싸매고 약을 발라주는 이도 없구나.
  2. 너희의 땅은 쑥밭이 되었고 도시들은 잿더미가 되었으며 애써 농사지은 것을 남이 약탈해 가도 보고만 있어야 하니 아, 허물어진 소돔처럼 쑥밭이 되고 말았구나.
  3. 수도 시온은 포도밭의 초막, 참외밭의 원두막, 파수꾼의 망대처럼 외로이 남았구나.
  4. 만군의 야훼께서 조금이라도 살려두시지 않으셨더라면 우리는 모두 소돔같이, 고모라같이 되고 말았으리라.
  5. 소돔 고관들아, 야훼의 말씀을 들어보아라. 고모라 백성들아, 우리 하느님의 법에 귀를 기울여보아라.
  1. "What are your multiplied sacrifices to Me?" Says the LORD. "I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams And the fat of fed cattle; And I take no pleasure in the blood of bulls, lambs or goats.
  2. "When you come to appear before Me, Who requires of you this trampling of My courts?
  3. "Bring your worthless offerings no longer, Incense is an abomination to Me New moon and sabbath, the calling of assemblies-- I cannot endure iniquity and the solemn assembly.
  4. "I hate your new moon festivals and your appointed feasts, They have become a burden to Me; I am weary of bearing them.
  5. "So when you spread out your hands in prayer, I will hide My eyes from you; Yes, even though you multiply prayers, I will not listen Your hands are covered with blood.
  1. 야훼께서 말씀하신다. "무엇하러 이 많은 제물들을 나에게 바치느냐? 나 이제 숫양의 번제물에는 물렸고 살진 짐승의 기름기에는 지쳤다. 황소와 어린 양과 숫염소의 피는 보기도 싫다.
  2. 너희가 나를 보러오는데 도대체 누가 너희에게 내 집 뜰을 짓밟으라고 하더냐?
  3. 더 이상 헛된 제물을 가져오지 마라. 이제 제물 타는 냄새에는 구역질이 난다. 초하루와 안식일과 축제의 마감날에 모여서 하는 헛된 짓을 나는 더 이상 견딜 수 없다.
  4. 너희가 지키는 초하루 행사와 축제들이 나는 정말로 싫다. 귀찮다, 이제는 참지 못하겠구나.
  5. 두 손 모아 아무리 빌어보아라. 내가 보지 아니하리라. 빌고 또 빌어보아라. 내가 듣지 아니하리라. 너희의 손은 피투성이,
  1. "Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Remove the evil of your deeds from My sight Cease to do evil,
  2. Learn to do good; Seek justice, Reprove the ruthless, Defend the orphan, Plead for the widow.
  3. "Come now, and let us reason together," Says the LORD, "Though your sins are as scarlet, They will be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They will be like wool.
  4. "If you consent and obey, You will eat the best of the land;
  5. "But if you refuse and rebel, You will be devoured by the sword " Truly, the mouth of the LORD has spoken.
  1. 몸을 씻어 정결케 하여라. 내 앞에서 악한 행실을 버려라. 깨끗이 악에서 손을 떼어라.
  2. 착한 길을 익히고 바른 삶을 찾아라. 억눌린 자를 풀어주고, 고아의 인권을 찾아주며 과부를 두둔해 주어라."
  3. 야훼께서 말씀하신다. "오라, 와서 나와 시비를 가리자. 너희 죄가 진홍같이 붉어도 눈과 같이 희어지며 너희 죄가 다홍같이 붉어도 양털같이 되리라.
  4. 너희가 기꺼이 순종하면 땅에서 나는 좋은 것을 먹게 되리라.
  5. 그러나 너희가 기어이 거역하면 칼에 맞아 죽으리라." 이는 야훼께서 친히 하신 말씀이다.
  1. How the faithful city has become a harlot, She who was full of justice! Righteousness once lodged in her, But now murderers.
  2. Your silver has become dross, Your drink diluted with water.
  3. Your rulers are rebels And companions of thieves; Everyone loves a bribe And chases after rewards They do not defend the orphan, Nor does the widow's plea come before them.
  4. Therefore the Lord GOD of hosts, The Mighty One of Israel, declares, "Ah, I will be relieved of My adversaries And avenge Myself on My foes.
  5. "I will also turn My hand against you, And will smelt away your dross as with lye And will remove all your alloy.
  1. 어쩌다가 성실하던 마을이 창녀가 되었는가! 법이 살아 있고 정의가 깃들이던 곳이 살인자들의 천지가 되었는가!
  2. 너의 은은 찌꺼기가 되었고 너의 포도주는 물이 섞여 싱거워졌구나.
  3. 너의 지도자들은 반역자요, 도둑의 무리가 되었다. 모두들 뇌물에만 마음이 있고 선물에만 생각이 있어 고아의 인권을 짓밟고 과부의 송사를 외면한다.
  4. 그런즉, 이스라엘의 강하신 이, 주 만군의 야훼께서 말씀하신다. "아! 내가 원수들을 속시원히 물리치고, 적에게 보복하리라.
  5. 그리고 손을 돌려 너의 찌꺼기는 용광로에 녹여내고 납은 모두 걷어내어 너를 순결하게 하리라.
  1. "Then I will restore your judges as at the first, And your counselors as at the beginning; After that you will be called the city of righteousness, A faithful city."
  2. Zion will be redeemed with justice And her repentant ones with righteousness.
  3. But transgressors and sinners will be crushed together, And those who forsake the LORD will come to an end.
  4. Surely you will be ashamed of the oaks which you have desired, And you will be embarrassed at the gardens which you have chosen.
  5. For you will be like an oak whose leaf fades away Or as a garden that has no water.
  1. 내가 너의 재판관들을 그 옛날처럼 다시 세워주고 너의 고문관들을 처음과 같이 다시 일으켜주리라. 그제야 너는 '정의의 도시, 성실한 마을'이라 불릴 것이다.
  2. 시온은 그 기틀이 바로잡히고 주민은 마음이 바로잡혀 다시 살게 되리라.
  3. 패역무도한 죄인들은 모조리 거꾸러지고 야훼를 저버리는 자들은 멸망하리라.
  4. 너희는 상수리나무에 기대를 걸었던 일을 부끄러워할 것이며 그렇게도 좋아하던 동산에 실망하리라.
  5. 너희는 잎이 시든 상수리나무같이, 물 없는 동산같이 되리라.
  1. The strong man will become tinder, His work also a spark. Thus they shall both burn together And there will be none to quench them.
  1. 힘센 사람은 삼오라기가 되고, 그가 만든 것은 불티가 되어 다 함께 타는데도 그 불을 꺼줄 사람 또한 없으리라."
 
  주께서 오실 날(2:1-2:22)    
 
  1. The word which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
  2. Now it will come about that In the last days The mountain of the house of the LORD Will be established as the chief of the mountains, And will be raised above the hills; And all the nations will stream to it.
  3. And many peoples will come and say, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; That He may teach us concerning His ways And that we may walk in His paths." For the law will go forth from Zion And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
  4. And He will judge between the nations, And will render decisions for many peoples; And they will hammer their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks Nation will not lift up sword against nation, And never again will they learn war.
  5. Come, house of Jacob, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.
  1. 이것은 아모쓰의 아들 이사야가 유다와 예루살렘이 어찌 될 것인지를 내다보고 한 말이다.
  2. 장차 어느 날엔가 야훼의 집이 서 있는 산이 모든 멧부리 위에 우뚝 서고 모든 언덕 위에 드높이 솟아 만국이 그리로 물밀듯이 밀려들리라.
  3. 그 때 수많은 민족이 모여와서 말하리라. "자, 올라가자, 야훼의 산으로, 야곱의 하느님께서 계신 전으로! 사는 길을 그에게 배우고 그 길을 따라가자. 법은 시온에서 나오고, 야훼의 말씀은 예루살렘에서 나오느니."
  4. 그가 민족간의 분쟁을 심판하시고 나라 사이의 분규를 조정하시리니, 나라마다 칼을 쳐서 보습을 만들고 창을 쳐서 낫을 만들리라. 민족들은 칼을 들고 서로 싸우지 않을 것이며 다시는 군사 훈련도 하지 아니하리라.
  5. 오, 야곱의 가문이여, 야훼의 빛을 받으며 걸어가자.
  1. For You have abandoned Your people, the house of Jacob, Because they are filled with influences from the east, And they are soothsayers like the Philistines, And they strike bargains with the children of foreigners.
  2. Their land has also been filled with silver and gold And there is no end to their treasures; Their land has also been filled with horses And there is no end to their chariots.
  3. Their land has also been filled with idols; They worship the work of their hands, That which their fingers have made.
  4. So the common man has been humbled And the man of importance has been abased, But do not forgive them.
  5. Enter the rock and hide in the dust From the terror of the LORD and from the splendor of His majesty.
  1. 하느님이여, 당신께서는 당신의 백성 야곱의 가문을 버리셨습니다. 그 집은 동방의 무당들로 가득 찼고 불레셋처럼 점쟁이들이 득실거립니다. 그들은 이방인과 손을 잡았습니다.
  2. 그 땅은 은과 금, 그리고 셀 수 없는 보화로 가득 찼습니다. 그 땅은 군마와 무수한 병거로 차고 넘칩니다.
  3. 그 땅은 우상들로 차 있으며, 그들은 자기들의 손으로 만든 것을 예배하고 그 손가락으로 만든 것 앞에 꿇어 엎드립니다.
  4. 이렇듯이 사람이 스스로 낮아졌고, 인간은 천해졌습니다. 그들을 용서하지 마소서.
  5. 야훼께서 일어나 땅을 흔드실 때 너희는 그 두려운 얼굴을 피하고 그 빛나는 위엄을 피하여 바위굴로 들어가거라. 먼지 속에 몸을 숨겨라.
  1. The proud look of man will be abased And the loftiness of man will be humbled, And the LORD alone will be exalted in that day.
  2. For the LORD of hosts will have a day of reckoning Against everyone who is proud and lofty And against everyone who is lifted up, That he may be abased.
  3. And it will be against all the cedars of Lebanon that are lofty and lifted up, Against all the oaks of Bashan,
  4. Against all the lofty mountains, Against all the hills that are lifted up,
  5. Against every high tower, Against every fortified wall,
  1. 사람의 거만한 눈은 숙어지고, 인간의 오만은 꺾이리니 그 날에 야훼 홀로 드높으시리라.
  2. 만군의 야훼께서 오시는 날, 뽐내고 거만한 자를 모두 꺾으시는 날, 높은 자리에 앉은 자를 모두 끌어내리시는 날,
  3. 레바논에 높이 솟은 송백과 바산의 상수리나무를 모두 꺾으시는 날,
  4. 드높은 산악과 솟아 있는 언덕을 모두 낮추시는 날,
  5. 높이 솟은 성탑과 견고한 성곽을 모두 부수시는 날,
  1. Against all the ships of Tarshish And against all the beautiful craft.
  2. The pride of man will be humbled And the loftiness of men will be abased; And the LORD alone will be exalted in that day,
  3. But the idols will completely vanish.
  4. Men will go into caves of the rocks And into holes of the ground Before the terror of the LORD And the splendor of His majesty, When He arises to make the earth tremble.
  5. In that day men will cast away to the moles and the bats Their idols of silver and their idols of gold, Which they made for themselves to worship,
  1. 다르싯의 배와 값진 화물을 모두 침몰시키시는 날,
  2. 사람의 거만은 꺾이고 인간의 오만은 숙어지리니 그 날에 야훼 홀로 드높으시고
  3. 우상들은 모조리 사라지리라.
  4. 야훼께서 일어나 땅을 흔드실 때 너희는 그 두려운 얼굴을 피하고 그 빛나는 위엄을 피하여 바위굴로 들어가거라. 땅굴 속에 숨어라.
  5. 그 날이 오면 사람들은 저희가 섬기기 위하여 제 손으로 만든 은우상과 금우상을 두더지와 박쥐에게 던져주게 되리라.
  1. In order to go into the caverns of the rocks and the clefts of the cliffs Before the terror of the LORD and the splendor of His majesty, When He arises to make the earth tremble.
  2. Stop regarding man, whose breath of life is in his nostrils; For why should he be esteemed?
  1. 야훼께서 일어나 땅을 흔드실 때 너희는 그 두려운 얼굴을 피하고 그 빛나는 위엄을 피하여 큰 바위의 갈라진 곳으로 들어가거라. 바윗돌 틈바구니에 숨어라.
  2. 다시는 사람을 믿지 마라. 코에 숨이 붙어 있을 뿐, 아무 보잘것없느니.
