이사야 9:1-10:34

 이사야는 하나님의 구원 역사를 이루시는 메시아의 도래와 그로 인한 해방의 기쁨을 묘사하였다. 메시아로 탄생할 한 아들은 곧 하나님이시며 다윗 왕국을 영원히 다스리실 평강의 왕이라고 예언하였다. 그리고 하나님의 경고에도 불구하고 완악한 이스라엘은 앗수르에 의해 심판을 받지만, 결국 교만해진 앗수르는 멸망하게 되고 하나님만 의지하는 자들은 보호를 받을 것이라고 예언하였다.
  
  메시아의 탄생과 사역(9:1-9:21)    
 
  1. But there will be no more gloom for her who was in anguish; in earlier times He treated the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali with contempt, but later on He shall make it glorious, by the way of the sea, on the other side of Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles.
  2. The people who walk in darkness Will see a great light; Those who live in a dark land, The light will shine on them.
  3. You shall multiply the nation, You shall increase their gladness; They will be glad in Your presence As with the gladness of harvest, As men rejoice when they divide the spoil.
  4. For You shall break the yoke of their burden and the staff on their shoulders, The rod of their oppressor, as at the battle of Midian.
  5. For every boot of the booted warrior in the battle tumult, And cloak rolled in blood, will be for burning, fuel for the fire.
  1. 어둠 속을 헤매는 백성이 큰 빛을 볼 것입니다. 캄캄한 땅에 사는 사람들에게 빛이 비쳐올 것입니다.
  2. 당신께서 주시는 무한한 기쁨, 넘치는 즐거움이 곡식을 거둘 때의 즐거움 같고, 전리품을 나눌 때의 기쁨 같아 그들이 당신 앞에서 즐거워할 것입니다.
  3. 당신께서는 그들이 짊어진 멍에와 어깨에 멘 장대를 부러뜨리시고 혹사하는 자의 채찍을 꺾으실 것입니다. 미디안을 쳐부수시던 날처럼, 꺾으실 것입니다.
  4. 마구 짓밟던 군화, 피투성이 된 군복은 불에 타 사라질 것입니다.
  5. 우리를 위하여 태어날 한 아기, 우리에게 주시는 아드님, 그 어깨에는 주권이 메어지겠고 그 이름은 탁월한 경륜가, 용사이신 하느님, 영원한 아버지, 평화의 왕이라 불릴 것입니다.
  1. For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
  2. There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, On the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness From then on and forevermore The zeal of the LORD of hosts will accomplish this.
  3. The Lord sends a message against Jacob, And it falls on Israel.
  4. And all the people know it, That is, Ephraim and the inhabitants of Samaria, Asserting in pride and in arrogance of heart:
  5. "The bricks have fallen down, But we will rebuild with smooth stones; The sycamores have been cut down, But we will replace them with cedars."
  1. 다윗의 왕좌에 앉아 주권을 행사하여 그 국권을 강대하게 하고 끝없는 평화를 이루며 그 나라를 법과 정의 위에 굳게 세우실 것입니다. 이 모든 일은 만군의 야훼께서 정열을 쏟으시어 이제부터 영원까지 이루실 일이옵니다.
  2. 주께서 야곱을 책망하시니 그 말씀이 이스라엘에 떨어지네.
  3. 에브라임과 사마리아의 주민, 그 모든 백성이 이것을 알고도 교만하여 부푼 마음으로 말하는구나.
  4. "흙벽돌이 무너지면 다듬은 돌로 쌓고 돌무화과나무가 찍혀 넘어지면 송백을 심으리라."
  5. 야훼께서 괘씸하게 여기시어 원수들을 부추기시고 적을 일으키시어 그들을 치게 하시네.
  1. Therefore the LORD raises against them adversaries from Rezin And spurs their enemies on,
  2. The Arameans on the east and the Philistines on the west; And they devour Israel with gaping jaws In spite of all this, His anger does not turn away And His hand is still stretched out.
  3. Yet the people do not turn back to Him who struck them, Nor do they seek the LORD of hosts.
  4. So the LORD cuts off head and tail from Israel, Both palm branch and bulrush in a single day.
  5. The head is the elder and honorable man, And the prophet who teaches falsehood is the tail.
  1. 동에서는 시리아, 서에서는 불레셋이 일어나 이스라엘을 마구 집어삼키게 하시네. 그래도 그의 분노는 가시지 않아 그 드신 손을 아직도 내리시지 아니하시네.
  2. 그러나 이 백성은 매 드신 이에게 돌아오지 아니하고 만군의 야훼를 찾지도 않는구나.
  3. 야훼께서 괘씸하게 여기시어 이스라엘의 머리와 꼬리를 자르시고 종려나무와 갈대를 하루아침에 찍어내시니
  4. 그 머리란 장로와 잘난 체하는 자들이요 그 꼬리란 거짓을 가르치는 예언자라.
  5. 이 백성의 지도자가 잘못 인도하니 그 인도를 받는 자들이 망하는구나.
  1. For those who guide this people are leading them astray; And those who are guided by them are brought to confusion.
  2. Therefore the Lord does not take pleasure in their young men, Nor does He have pity on their orphans or their widows; For every one of them is godless and an evildoer, And every mouth is speaking foolishness In spite of all this, His anger does not turn away And His hand is still stretched out.
  3. For wickedness burns like a fire; It consumes briars and thorns; It even sets the thickets of the forest aflame And they roll upward in a column of smoke.
  4. By the fury of the LORD of hosts the land is burned up, And the people are like fuel for the fire; No man spares his brother.
  5. They slice off what is on the right hand but still are hungry, And they eat what is on the left hand but they are not satisfied; Each of them eats the flesh of his own arm.
  1. 주께서는 그 정예 부대를 아끼지 아니하시고 고아와 과부들을 불쌍히 여기지 아니하시리라. 그들은 모두 불경하여 악을 행하는 자요, 입으로는 야비한 소리만 뱉으니, 그의 분노가 어찌 사라지며 그 드신 손이 어찌 내려지겠는가!
  2. 불의가 불처럼 타올라 가시덤불과 엉겅퀴를 사르고 무성한 숲을 활활 태우니 연기가 휘말려 올라가는구나.
  3. 만군의 야훼께서 분노하시어 땅이 타오르니 백성은 불길 속에서 사라지는구나. 골육 형제마저 아껴주는 사람 없어
  4. 모두들 제 이웃의 살을 뜯어먹네. 오른쪽에서 뜯어먹어도 성에 차지 아니하고 왼쪽에서 뜯어먹어도 양에 차지 않아
  5. 므나쎄와 에브라임이 서로 뜯어먹는구나. 그러고도 시원치 않아 함께 유다를 덮치니 그의 분노가 어찌 사라지며 그 드신 손이 어찌 내려지겠는가!
  1. Manasseh devours Ephraim, and Ephraim Manasseh, And together they are against Judah In spite of all this, His anger does not turn away And His hand is still stretched out.
 
  앗수르의 심판(10:1-10:34)    
 
  1. Woe to those who enact evil statutes And to those who constantly record unjust decisions,
  2. So as to deprive the needy of justice And rob the poor of My people of their rights, So that widows may be their spoil And that they may plunder the orphans.
  3. Now what will you do in the day of punishment, And in the devastation which will come from afar? To whom will you flee for help? And where will you leave your wealth?
  4. Nothing remains but to crouch among the captives Or fall among the slain In spite of all this, His anger does not turn away And His hand is still stretched out.
  5. Woe to Assyria, the rod of My anger And the staff in whose hands is My indignation,
  1. 아, 너희가 비참하게 되리라. 악법을 제정하는 자들아, 양민을 괴롭히는 법령을 만드는 자들아!
  2. 너희가 영세민의 정당한 요구를 거절하고 내가 아끼는 백성을 천대하여 그 권리를 짓밟으며 과부들의 재산을 털고 고아들을 등쳐먹는구나.
  3. 너희는 어떻게 하려느냐? 벌을 받게 되는 날, 먼 곳에서 태풍처럼 재난이 닥쳐오는 그 날에 누구에게 피하여 도움을 청하고 그토록 소중히 여기던 재산은 어디에다 숨겨두려느냐?
  4. 포로들 틈에 끼여 쪼그리고 앉았거나 시체들 사이에서 뒹굴 수밖에...... 그래도 그의 분노는 사라지지 않아 그 드신 손을 내리시지 않는다.
  5. 아, 네가 비참하게 되리라. 아시리아야! 나의 분노의 지팡이요, 나의 징벌의 몽둥이였던 너 아시리아,
  1. I send it against a godless nation And commission it against the people of My fury To capture booty and to seize plunder, And to trample them down like mud in the streets.
  2. Yet it does not so intend, Nor does it plan so in its heart, But rather it is its purpose to destroy And to cut off many nations.
  3. For it says, "Are not my princes all kings?
  4. "Is not Calno like Carchemish, Or Hamath like Arpad, Or Samaria like Damascus?
  5. "As my hand has reached to the kingdoms of the idols, Whose graven images were greater than those of Jerusalem and Samaria,
  1. 배신한 민족을 치라고 너희를 보냈고 나를 분노케 한 백성을 치라고 하였더니 마구 빼앗고 모조리 털고 길바닥의 진흙처럼 짓밟으라고 하였더니
  2. 너희가 엉뚱한 일을 꾸미고 딴마음을 품어, 무작정 닥치는 대로 나라들을 쳐부술 생각밖에 없구나.
  3. 그리고는 고작 한다는 소리가, "나의 수하 장군들은 모두가 왕이 아니냐?
  4. 갈로는 가르그미스처럼 망하지 않았느냐? 하맛도 아르밧처럼 망하지 않았느냐? 사마리아도 다마스쿠스처럼 망하지 않았느냐?
  5. 예루살렘과 사마리아보다도 많은 신상을 만들어놓고 그 신들을 섬기는 나라들을 내가 이미 손에 넣었다.
  1. Shall I not do to Jerusalem and her images Just as I have done to Samaria and her idols?"
  2. So it will be that when the Lord has completed all His work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, He will say, "I will punish the fruit of the arrogant heart of the king of Assyria and the pomp of his haughtiness."
  3. For he has said, "By the power of my hand and by my wisdom I did this, For I have understanding; And I removed the boundaries of the peoples And plundered their treasures, And like a mighty man I brought down their inhabitants,
  4. And my hand reached to the riches of the peoples like a nest, And as one gathers abandoned eggs, I gathered all the earth; And there was not one that flapped its wing or opened its beak or chirped."
  5. Is the axe to boast itself over the one who chops with it? Is the saw to exalt itself over the one who wields it? That would be like a club wielding those who lift it, Or like a rod lifting him who is not wood.
  1. 사마리아와 그 신들도 손에 넣었다. 이제 예루살렘과 그 신상인들 내 손에 넣지 못하랴?"
  2. 주께서 시온 산 예루살렘에서 하실 일을 다 마치시면 아시리아 왕의 이런 건방진 행동과 업신여기는 태도를 벌하시리라.
  3. 그가 자랑삼아 하는 소리를 들어보아라. "나는 나의 힘있는 손으로 이것을 이루었다. 나의 지혜로 이것을 이루었다. 그러니 나는 현명하지 아니한가? 나는 민족들 사이의 경계선을 옮겼고 그들의 재물을 빼앗았으며 높은 자리에 앉은 자들을 땅으로 끌어내렸다.
  4. 내 손이 새의 보금자리를 움켜잡듯이 민족들의 재물을 빼앗았고 버려둔 알을 모으듯이 땅의 온갖 것을 모아들였는데도 그들은 날개를 치지도 못하고 입을 열거나 놀리지도 못하더라."
  5. 도끼가 도끼질하는 사람에게 어찌 으스대겠느냐? 톱이 톱질하는 사람에게 어찌 잘난 체하겠느냐? 지팡이가 들고 다니는 사람을 움직이기나 할 듯이. 몽둥이가 나무 아닌 인간을 휘두르기나 할 듯이.
  1. Therefore the Lord, the GOD of hosts, will send a wasting disease among his stout warriors; And under his glory a fire will be kindled like a burning flame.
  2. And the light of Israel will become a fire and his Holy One a flame, And it will burn and devour his thorns and his briars in a single day.
  3. And He will destroy the glory of his forest and of his fruitful garden, both soul and body, And it will be as when a sick man wastes away.
  4. And the rest of the trees of his forest will be so small in number That a child could write them down.
  5. Now in that day the remnant of Israel, and those of the house of Jacob who have escaped, will never again rely on the one who struck them, but will truly rely on the LORD, the Holy One of Israel.
  1. (ㄱ)그러므로 주 만군의 야훼께서 건강한 자를 수척하게 만드시고 (ㄴ)그의 재물을 화염 속에서 태워버리시리라.
  2. 이스라엘의 빛은 불길이 되고 이스라엘의 거룩하신 이는 불꽃이 되어 그의 가시덤불과 엉겅퀴를 하루 아침에 사르고
  3. (ㄴ)몸과 넋을 다 시들게 하시리니 병자가 숨져가듯 하리라. (ㄱ)그 우거진 숲과 무성한 과수원을 태워버리시리라.
  4. 그 숲에 타다 남은 나무는 몇 그루 되지 않아 아이라도 기록해 둘 수 있게 되리라.
  5. 그 날에 이스라엘의 남은 자와 야곱 가문의 생존자는 자기들을 치기나 할 자를 다시는 의지하지 아니하고 이스라엘의 거룩하신 하느님 야훼를 진심으로 의지하리라.
  1. A remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God.
  2. For though your people, O Israel, may be like the sand of the sea, Only a remnant within them will return; A destruction is determined, overflowing with righteousness.
  3. For a complete destruction, one that is decreed, the Lord GOD of hosts will execute in the midst of the whole land.
  4. Therefore thus says the Lord GOD of hosts, "O My people who dwell in Zion, do not fear the Assyrian who strikes you with the rod and lifts up his staff against you, the way Egypt did.
  5. "For in a very little while My indignation against you will be spent and My anger will be directed to their destruction."
  1. 남은 자가 돌아온다, 용사이신 하느님께로. 야곱의 남은 자가 돌아온다.
  2. 이스라엘아, 너의 겨레가 바다의 모래 같다 하여도 살아 남은 자만이 돌아온다. 파멸은 이미 결정된 것, 정의가 넘치리라.
  3. 주, 만군의 야훼께서는 이미 정하신 파멸을 온 땅에 이루시리라.
  4. 그리하여 주, 만군의 야훼께서 말씀하신다. "시온에 사는 내 백성들아. 아시리아가 이집트처럼 지팡이와 몽둥이를 휘둘러 너를 치더라도 두려워하지 마라.
  5. 너희에게 품었던 노여움은 오래지 않아 풀고 내 분노를 터뜨려 그들을 멸하고야 말리라."
  1. The LORD of hosts will arouse a scourge against him like the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb; and His staff will be over the sea and He will lift it up the way He did in Egypt.
  2. So it will be in that day, that his burden will be removed from your shoulders and his yoke from your neck, and the yoke will be broken because of fatness.
  3. He has come against Aiath, He has passed through Migron; At Michmash he deposited his baggage.
  4. They have gone through the pass, saying, "Geba will be our lodging place " Ramah is terrified, and Gibeah of Saul has fled away.
  5. Cry aloud with your voice, O daughter of Gallim! Pay attention, Laishah and wretched Anathoth!
  1. 만군의 야훼께서 미디안 사람을 오렙 바위에서 치셨듯이 그들을 채찍으로 치시리라. 이집트에서 나오는 길에 바다에서 몽둥이를 휘두르셨듯이 그들을 향해서 드시리라.
  2. 그 날 그들이 지워준 짐이 너의 어깨에서 벗겨지고 그들이 씌워준 멍에가 너의 목에서 풀리리라.
  3. 아얏에 이르고 미그론을 거쳐 미그맛에서 짐을 풀고
  4. 골짜기를 건너 게바에서 하룻밤을 묵으면 라마 사람은 놀라고 사울의 고향 기브아 사람은 달아나리라.
  5. 갈림의 딸들아, 소리를 질러라. 라이스 사람들아, 귀를 기울여라. 아나돗 사람들아, 대답하여라.
  1. Madmenah has fled. The inhabitants of Gebim have sought refuge.
  2. Yet today he will halt at Nob; He shakes his fist at the mountain of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.
  3. Behold, the Lord, the GOD of hosts, will lop off the boughs with a terrible crash; Those also who are tall in stature will be cut down And those who are lofty will be abased.
  4. He will cut down the thickets of the forest with an iron axe, And Lebanon will fall by the Mighty One.
  1. 마드메나 사람들은 도망하고 게빔 주민들은 피난하여라.
  2. 이 날 그들은 놉에 진을 치고 수도 시온의 산, 예루살렘 언덕을 향하여 주먹을 휘두르리라.
  3. 그러나 이제, 주 만군의 야훼께서 무서운 힘으로 그 무성한 가지들을 베어내시리라. 높이 솟은 나무들은 찍혀 넘어가고 우쭐대던 것들은 거꾸러지리라.
  4. 무성한 숲이 도끼에 찍혀 넘어가고 레바논은 강하신 하느님의 손에 맞아 내려앉으리라.
