예레미야 33:1-34:22

 하나님께서는 이스라엘과 유다 민족이 포로에서 해방될 것과 메시아를 통해 그들을 영원히 회복시켜 주실 것을 약속하셨다. 이 위로의 메시지를 전하고 난 후 예레미야는 유다의 함락과 시드기야의 포로됨과 죽음에 관해 예언하였고, 동족을 노예로 삼는 악행을 저질러 하나님의 규례를 어긴 유다 방백들과 백성들이 당할 징벌을 예고하였다.
  
  회복의 약속(33:1-33:26)    
 
  1. Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the second time, while he was still confined in the court of the guard, saying,
  2. "Thus says the LORD who made the earth, the LORD who formed it to establish it, the LORD is His name,
  3. 'Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.'
  4. "For thus says the LORD God of Israel concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah which are broken down to make a defense against the siege ramps and against the sword,
  5. 'While they are coming to fight with the Chaldeans and to fill them with the corpses of men whom I have slain in My anger and in My wrath, and I have hidden My face from this city because of all their wickedness:
  1. 예레미야가 아직 근위대 울 안에 갇혀 있을 때 야훼의 말씀이 그에게 두 번째로 내렸다.
  2. "땅을 만든 나 야훼가 말한다. 땅을 빚어 든든히 세운 나의 이름은 야훼다.
  3. 너는 나를 불러라. 내가 대답하리라. 나는 네가 모르는 큰 비밀을 가르쳐주리라.
  4. 수도 예루살렘의 집들과 유다 왕궁이 어떻게 될 것인지, 이 야훼가 이스라엘의 하느님으로서 선언한다. '그 집들은 허물어지리라. 너희는 토성을 쌓고 공격해 오는
  5. 바빌론 사람들과 싸우러 나가려고 한다마는 그것은 쓸데없는 짓이다. 나가 싸우다가는 집집마다 시체만이 뒹굴 것이다. 이 백성이 온갖 못할 짓을 하였기 때문에 나는 이 성을 외면하는 것이다. 너무 화가 나서 분통을 터뜨려 이 백성을 쳐죽이려는 것이다.
  1. 'Behold, I will bring to it health and healing, and I will heal them; and I will reveal to them an abundance of peace and truth.
  2. 'I will restore the fortunes of Judah and the fortunes of Israel and will rebuild them as they were at first.
  3. 'I will cleanse them from all their iniquity by which they have sinned against Me, and I will pardon all their iniquities by which they have sinned against Me and by which they have transgressed against Me.
  4. 'It will be to Me a name of joy, praise and glory before all the nations of the earth which will hear of all the good that I do for them, and they will fear and tremble because of all the good and all the peace that I make for it.'
  5. "Thus says the LORD, 'Yet again there will be heard in this place, of which you say, "It is a waste, without man and without beast," that is, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem that are desolate, without man and without inhabitant and without beast,
  1. 그러나 이제 이 성에서 전쟁의 상처를 말끔히 씻고 내가 다시 싱싱한 도읍지로 회복시켜 주리니, 시민들이 해방되어 참 평화를 누릴 시대가 오리라.
  2. 유다와 예루살렘의 운명을 바꾸어 옛날처럼 세워주리라.
  3. 나에게 잘못한 모든 죄를 깨끗이 벗겨주고, 나에게 거역하며 저지른 모든 죄를 용서하여 주리라.
  4. 그렇게 되면 내가 예루살렘에게 어떻게 잘해 주었는지 만천하가 알게 되리라. 바로 내가 예루살렘에게 잘해 주어 평화를 누리게 한 것을 알고 모두들 놀라 술렁거리리라. 예루살렘 생각에 나는 기뻐할 것이며, 그 때문에 나의 이름이 드날려 천하만민에게 찬양과 영광을 받게 되리라.'
  5. 나 야훼가 선언한다. 너희는 이 곳이 '사람도 짐승도 자취를 감춘 쓸쓸한 곳이 되리라.'고 하였다. 그렇다. 유다 성읍들과 예루살렘 거리들은 사람도 없고 짐승도 어른거리지 않는 텅빈 곳이 되리라. 그러나 여기에서 또다시
  1. the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who say, "Give thanks to the LORD of hosts, For the LORD is good, For His lovingkindness is everlasting"; and of those who bring a thank offering into the house of the LORD. For I will restore the fortunes of the land as they were at first,' says the LORD.
  2. "Thus says the LORD of hosts, 'There will again be in this place which is waste, without man or beast, and in all its cities, a habitation of shepherds who rest their flocks.
  3. 'In the cities of the hill country, in the cities of the lowland, in the cities of the Negev, in the land of Benjamin, in the environs of Jerusalem and in the cities of Judah, the flocks will again pass under the hands of the one who numbers them,' says the LORD.
  4. 'Behold, days are coming,' declares the LORD, 'when I will fulfill the good word which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and the house of Judah.
  5. 'In those days and at that time I will cause a righteous Branch of David to spring forth; and He shall execute justice and righteousness on the earth.
  1. 기쁜 소리, 흥겨운 노래, 신랑 신부의 즐거운 소리가 나리라. 사람들은 감사제물을 들고 내 집에 들어가, '야훼는 어지신 분, 그 사랑 영원하여라. 만군의 야훼께 감사하여라.' 하게 될 것이다. 내가 이렇게 이 나라의 운명을 옛날과 같이 회복시켜 주리라. 이는 내 말이라, 어김이 없다.
  2. 나 만군의 야훼가 선언한다. 이 곳과 여기에 딸린 모든 성읍들이 이미 사람이나 짐승의 그림자도 어른거리지 않는 폐허가 되었지만, 또다시 목자들이 양떼를 뉘어 쉬게 할 목장이 생기리라.
  3. 산악 지대의 성읍, 야산 지대의 성읍, 남부 지대의 성읍, 베냐민 지방과 예루살렘 주변과 유다의 성읍들에서는 들어가는 양들을 소리내어 세는 목자의 모습이 다시 보일 것이다. 이는 내 말이라, 어김이 없다.
  4. 나 야훼가 선언한다. 장차 내가 약속한 복을 이스라엘 국민과 유다 국민에게 그대로 내릴 날이 온다.
  5. 내가 다윗의 정통 왕손을 일으켜줄 그 날, 그 때가 온다. 그는 세상에 올바른 정치를 펼 것이다.
  1. 'In those days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will dwell in safety; and this is the name by which she will be called: the LORD is our righteousness.'
  2. "For thus says the LORD, 'David shall never lack a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel;
  3. and the Levitical priests shall never lack a man before Me to offer burnt offerings, to burn grain offerings and to prepare sacrifices continually.'"
  4. The word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying,
  5. "Thus says the LORD, 'If you can break My covenant for the day and My covenant for the night, so that day and night will not be at their appointed time,
  1. 그 날 유다는 살 길이 열려 예루살렘에서는 모두들 마음놓고 살게 되리라. 그 때 사람들은 예루살렘을 가리켜 '야훼 우리를 되살려주셨음.'이라고 부를 것이다.
  2. 나 야훼가 선언한다. 다윗의 후손 가운데서 왕위에 올라온 이스라엘 민족을 다스릴 자가 끊기지 아니하리라.
  3. 레위 지파 사제의 후손 가운데서 나에게 번제를 올리고 곡식예물을 살라 바치고, 친교제물을 바칠 자가 끊이지 아니하리라."
  4. 야훼의 말씀이 예레미야에게 내렸다.
  5. "나 야훼가 선언한다. 내가 낮과 맺은 계약이나 밤과 맺은 계약이 깨어져, 낮과 밤이 제 시간에 돌아오지 않는 일이 있겠느냐?
  1. then My covenant may also be broken with David My servant so that he will not have a son to reign on his throne, and with the Levitical priests, My ministers.
  2. 'As the host of heaven cannot be counted and the sand of the sea cannot be measured, so I will multiply the descendants of David My servant and the Levites who minister to Me.'"
  3. And the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying,
  4. "Have you not observed what this people have spoken, saying, 'The two families which the LORD chose, He has rejected them'? Thus they despise My people, no longer are they as a nation in their sight.
  5. "Thus says the LORD, 'If My covenant for day and night stand not, and the fixed patterns of heaven and earth I have not established,
  1. 그런 일이 생긴다면, 내 종 다윗과 맺은 내 계약도 깨어져, 그 왕좌에 앉아 다스릴 후손이 끊어지리라. 그런 일이 생긴다면, 나를 섬기는 레위 지파 사제들과 맺은 내 계약도 깨어지리라.
  2. 헤아릴 수 없이 많은 하늘의 별만큼, 측량할 수 없이 많은 바다의 모래알만큼, 나는 내 종 다윗의 후손을 불어나게 하고 나를 섬기는 레위인도 불어나게 하리라."
  3. 야훼의 말씀이 예레미야에게 내렸다.
  4. "'야훼께서는 우리 두 가문을, 기왕 버릴 바에야 뽑기는 왜 뽑으셨는가!' 하며 이 백성이 투덜거리는 것을 눈치채지 못하였느냐? 그러다가, 나의 백성은 나에게 버림받아, 나라도 이루지 못하게 되었다고 남들로부터 멸시를 받게까지 되었다마는,
  5. 이 야훼가 선언한다. 낮과 밤과 계약을 맺고, 하늘과 땅에 법칙을 정하여 준 것이 나 아니냐?
  1. then I would reject the descendants of Jacob and David My servant, not taking from his descendants rulers over the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob But I will restore their fortunes and will have mercy on them.'"
  1. 그런데 어떻게 야곱의 후손과 나의 종인 다윗의 후손을 저버리겠느냐? 그 중에서 아브라함과 이사악과 야곱의 후손을 다스릴 자를 내지 않겠느냐? 나는 이제 이 백성이 가엾어서 그 운명을 바꾸어주기로 하였다."
 
  시드기야와 백성들에 대한 경고(34:1-34:22)    
 
  1. The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and all his army, with all the kingdoms of the earth that were under his dominion and all the peoples, were fighting against Jerusalem and against all its cities, saying,
  2. "Thus says the LORD God of Israel, 'Go and speak to Zedekiah king of Judah and say to him: "Thus says the LORD, 'Behold, I am giving this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he will burn it with fire.
  3. 'You will not escape from his hand, for you will surely be captured and delivered into his hand; and you will see the king of Babylon eye to eye, and he will speak with you face to face, and you will go to Babylon.'"'
  4. "Yet hear the word of the LORD, O Zedekiah king of Judah! Thus says the LORD concerning you, 'You will not die by the sword.
  5. 'You will die in peace; and as spices were burned for your fathers, the former kings who were before you, so they will burn spices for you; and they will lament for you, "Alas, lord!"' For I have spoken the word," declares the LORD.
  1. 바빌론 왕 느부갓네살이 자기의 모든 군대와, 자기의 지배 아래 있는 모든 나라의 군대를 이끌고 예루살렘 성과 유다와 모든 성읍을 공격하고 있을 때에 야훼께로부터 예레미야에게 말씀이 내렸다.
  2. "나 야훼가 이스라엘의 하느님으로서 선언한다. 너는 유다 왕 시드키야에게 가서 내 말을 이렇게 전하여라. '나 야훼가 선언한다. 나는 이제 이 성읍을 바빌론 왕의 손에 넘겨주어 불사르게 하겠다.
  3. 너는 그 손에서 벗어나지 못하고 꼼짝없이 붙잡혀 그의 손에 넘어가리라. 그러니 너는 바빌론 왕 앞에 나가 항복하여라.
  4. 이 야훼가 너의 장래를 말하는 것이니, 유다 왕 시드키야야, 이 야훼의 말을 들어라. 그리하면 너는 칼에 맞아 죽지 않을 것이며,
  5. 고이 죽어, 앞서간 선왕들이 분향을 받았듯이, 너도 분향을 받을 것이다. 백성들은, 슬프다, 임금님이 돌아가시다니, 하며 상례를 치러줄 것이다. 이것만은 내가 보장해 준다. 이는 내 말이라, 어김이 없다.'"
  1. Then Jeremiah the prophet spoke all these words to Zedekiah king of Judah in Jerusalem
  2. when the army of the king of Babylon was fighting against Jerusalem and against all the remaining cities of Judah, that is, Lachish and Azekah, for they alone remained as fortified cities among the cities of Judah.
  3. The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD after King Zedekiah had made a covenant with all the people who were in Jerusalem to proclaim release to them:
  4. that each man should set free his male servant and each man his female servant, a Hebrew man or a Hebrew woman; so that no one should keep them, a Jew his brother, in bondage.
  5. And all the officials and all the people obeyed who had entered into the covenant that each man should set free his male servant and each man his female servant, so that no one should keep them any longer in bondage; they obeyed, and set them free.
  1. 예언자 예레미야는 예루살렘에서 이 모든 말씀을 유다 왕 시드키야에게 전하였다.
  2. 그 때 바빌론 왕은 유다의 성읍들 가운데서 예루살렘 외에 아직 떨어지지 않은 성읍을 공격하고 있었다. 그 때 유다 성읍들 가운데 남은 것이라고는 요충 도시인 라기스와 아제카뿐이었다.
  3. 시드키야 왕은 예루살렘 온 시민에게 노예를 다 풀어주겠다는 결의를 시켰다. 그 일이 있은 후에 예레미야에게 야훼의 말씀이 내렸다.
  4. 사람들은 그 결의를 따라 남녀 히브리인 종을 풀어주기로 하고 아무도 동족인 유다 사람을 종으로 부리지 않기로 하였던 것이다.
  5. 그래서 고관과 백성들은 남녀 종을 있는 대로 다 풀어주며, 다시는 종으로 부리지 않을 것을 결의하고 그 결의대로 모두들 종들을 풀어주었다.
  1. But afterward they turned around and took back the male servants and the female servants whom they had set free, and brought them into subjection for male servants and for female servants.
  2. Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,
  3. "Thus says the LORD God of Israel, 'I made a covenant with your forefathers in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, saying,
  4. "At the end of seven years each of you shall set free his Hebrew brother who has been sold to you and has served you six years, you shall send him out free from you; but your forefathers did not obey Me or incline their ear to Me.
  5. "Although recently you had turned and done what is right in My sight, each man proclaiming release to his neighbor, and you had made a covenant before Me in the house which is called by My name.
  1. 그런 뒤에 그들은 또 마음이 변하여, 풀어주었던 남녀 종들을 데려다가 다시 종으로 부렸다.
  2. 야훼의 말씀이 예레미야에게 내린 것은 이런 때였다.
  3. "나 야훼가 이스라엘의 하느님으로서 말한다. 이집트에서 종살이하는 너희 조상들을 데려내오던 날, 나는 너희 조상들에게 다음과 같은 계약 조문을 주었다.
  4. '같은 겨레인 히브리 사람이 너에게 팔려와서 칠 년이 되거든 내어보내라. 육 년 동안 부리고 나서 풀어주어라.' 그랬는데 너희 조상들은 이 말을 귓전으로 흘려버리고 듣지 않았다.
  5. 그런데 너희는 기특하게도 마음을 돌려 내 이름으로 불리는 집안, 내가 보는 자리에서 결의하고 제 겨레를 풀어주기로 선언하였다. 그리고는 며칠 되지도 않아서
  1. "Yet you turned and profaned My name, and each man took back his male servant and each man his female servant whom you had set free according to their desire, and you brought them into subjection to be your male servants and female servants."'
  2. "Therefore thus says the LORD, 'You have not obeyed Me in proclaiming release each man to his brother and each man to his neighbor. Behold, I am proclaiming a release to you,' declares the LORD, 'to the sword, to the pestilence and to the famine; and I will make you a terror to all the kingdoms of the earth.
  3. 'I will give the men who have transgressed My covenant, who have not fulfilled the words of the covenant which they made before Me, when they cut the calf in two and passed between its parts--
  4. the officials of Judah and the officials of Jerusalem, the court officers and the priests and all the people of the land who passed between the parts of the calf--
  5. I will give them into the hand of their enemies and into the hand of those who seek their life And their dead bodies will be food for the birds of the sky and the beasts of the earth.
  1. 너희는 마음이 변하여 풀어주었던 남녀 종을 데려다가 다시 부리고 있다. 그래서 결국 내 이름만 욕되게 만들었다.
  2. 이에 나 야훼가 선언한다. 너희는 내 말을 따라 같은 피를 나눈 겨레를 풀어주려고 하지 않았다. 그렇다면 나는 너희를 풀어놓아 칼과 염병과 기근으로 죽게 하리라. 내가 분명히 말한다. 세상 모든 나라 사람이 너희의 끔찍한 모습을 보고 놀라리라.
  3. 너희들이 송아지를 두 토막으로 갈라놓고 그 토막 사이로 지나가며 내 앞에서 계약을 맺었으면서도 이제 그 조문을 지키지 않고 계약을 어겼으니 나는 너희들을 그 송아지 꼴로 만들고 말리라.
  4. 유다와 예루살렘 고관들, 내시들과 사제들, 지방 유지들 할 것 없이, 갈라놓은 송아지 토막 사이로 지나간 자들을
  5. 죽이려고 달려드는 원수의 손에 넘겨주어, 그 시체가 공중의 새들과 들짐승의 밥이 되게 하리라.
  1. 'Zedekiah king of Judah and his officials I will give into the hand of their enemies and into the hand of those who seek their life, and into the hand of the army of the king of Babylon which has gone away from you.
  2. 'Behold, I am going to command,' declares the LORD, 'and I will bring them back to this city; and they will fight against it and take it and burn it with fire; and I will make the cities of Judah a desolation without inhabitant.'"
  1. 유다 왕 시드키야와 그 고관들도 달려드는 원수의 손에 넘겨서 죽게 하리라.
  2. 너에게 분명히 말한다. 나 이제 그들에게 명령을 내려 이 성읍으로 되돌아와 공격하여 점령하고, 불을 지르게 하리라. 유다의 성읍들을 황폐하게 하여 사람이 살지 않는 곳으로 만들리라."
 
  비밀한( 33:3)  원어상 의미는 ‘도달할 수 없는 것’인데, 여기서는 하나님의 구속의 능력을 뜻함
