- When Jesus came down from the mountain, large crowds followed Him.
- And a leper came to Him and bowed down before Him, and said, "Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean."
- Jesus stretched out His hand and touched him, saying, "I am willing; be cleansed." And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
- And Jesus said to him, "See that you tell no one; but go, show yourself to the priest and present the offering that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them."
- And when Jesus entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, imploring Him,

- 예수님이 산에서 내려오시자 많은 군중이 뒤따랐다.
- 마침 한 문둥병자가 예수님께 와서 절하며 '주님, 주님께서 원하시면 저를 깨끗이 고치실 수 있습니다.' 하였다.
- 예수님이 그에게 손을 대시며 '내가 원한다. 깨끗이 나아라.' 하고 말씀하시자 즉시 그의 문둥병이 나았다.
- 그때 예수님은 그에게 '너는 아무에게도 이 일을 말하지 말고 제사장에게 가서 네 몸을 보이고 모세가 명령한 예물을 드려 네가 깨끗해진 것을 사람들에게 증거하여라.' 하고 말씀하셨다.
- 예수님이 가버나움에 가셨을 때 한 장교가 예수님께 와서 도움을 구하며

- and saying, "Lord, my servant is lying paralyzed at home, fearfully tormented."
- Jesus said to him, "I will come and heal him."
- But the centurion said, "Lord, I am not worthy for You to come under my roof, but just say the word, and my servant will be healed.
- "For I also am a man under authority, with soldiers under me; and I say to this one, 'Go!' and he goes, and to another, 'Come!' and he comes, and to my slave, 'Do this!' and he does it."
- Now when Jesus heard this, He marveled and said to those who were following, "Truly I say to you, I have not found such great faith with anyone in Israel.

- '주님, 제 하인이 중풍에 걸려 몹시 고생하고 있습니다.' 라고 하였다.
- 예수님이 그에게 '내가 가서 고쳐 주겠다.' 하시자
- 장교는 이렇게 대답하였다. '주님, 저는 주님을 내 집에까지 오시게 할 만한 자격이 없습니다. 그저 나으라는 말씀만 한마디 해 주십시오. 그러면 제 하인이 나을 것입니다.
- 저도 웃사람을 모시고 있고 제 아래에도 부하들이 있어서 제가 부하에게 '가라' 하면 가고 '오라' 하면 오고 내 하인에게 '이 일을 하라.' 하면 합니다.'
- 예수님은 이 말에 놀라시며 따라온 사람들에게 말씀하셨다. '내가 분명히 말하지만 이스라엘 온 땅에서 이만한 믿음을 가진 사람은 만나보지 못하였다.

- "I say to you that many will come from east and west, and recline at the table with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven;
- but the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."
- And Jesus said to the centurion, "Go; it shall be done for you as you have believed." And the servant was healed that very moment.
- When Jesus came into Peter's home, He saw his mother-in-law lying sick in bed with a fever.
- He touched her hand, and the fever left her; and she got up and waited on Him.

- 또 너희에게 말한다. 동서 사방에서 많은 이방인들이 모여들어 하늘 나라에서 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱과 함께 잔치 자리에 앉을 것이다.
- 그러나 유대인들은 바깥 어두운 곳에 쫓겨나 통곡하며 이를 갈 것이다.'
- 그리고서 예수님은 장교에게 '가거라. 네 믿음대로 될 것이다.' 하고 말씀하셨다. 그러자 바로 그 시각에 그의 하인이 나았다.
- 예수님이 베드로의 집에 들어가 그의 장모가 열병으로 누워 있는 것을 보시고
- 그 손을 만지시자 열병은 떠나고 그 여자는 일어나 예수님의 시중을 들었다.

- When evening came, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed; and He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were ill.
- This was to fulfill what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet: "HE HIMSELF TOOK OUR INFIRMITIES AND CARRIED AWAY OUR DISEASES."
- Now when Jesus saw a crowd around Him, He gave orders to depart to the other side of the sea.
- Then a scribe came and said to Him, "Teacher, I will follow You wherever You go."
- Jesus said to him, "The foxes have holes and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head."

- 날이 저물었을 때 사람들이 귀신들린 많은 사람들을 예수님께 데려왔다. 그래서 예수님은 말씀으로 귀신들을 쫓아내고 병자들을 다 고쳐 주셨다.
- 이것은 예언자 이사야의 다음과 같은 예언을 이루기 위해서였다. '그는 우리의 연약함을 몸소 담당하시고 우리의 질병을 짊어지셨다.'
- 예수님은 군중들이 자기 주위에 밀어닥치는 것을 보시고 호수 저편으로 건너가라고 명령하셨다.
- 그때 한 율법학자가 예수님께 와서 '선생님, 저는 선생님이 어디로 가시든지 따라가겠습니다.' 하였다.
- 그래서 예수님은 그에게 '여우도 굴이 있고 공중의 새도 보금자리가 있다. 그러나 나는 머리 둘 곳이 없다.' 하고 말씀하셨다.

- Another of the disciples said to Him, "Lord, permit me first to go and bury my father."
- But Jesus said to him, "Follow Me, and allow the dead to bury their own dead."

- 그러자 제자 중에 한 사람이 예수님께 '주님, 먼저 가서 제 아버지의 장례를 치르도록 허락해 주십시오.' 하였다.
- 그러나 예수님은 그에게 '죽은 사람의 장례는 영적으로 죽은 사람들이 하게 버려 두고 너는 나를 따르라.' 하고 말씀하셨다.
