	창세기 45:1-46:34 요셉은 형제들에게 자기의 신분을 밝히고 그들을 위로하였다. 요셉의 형제들이 왔다는 소식을 들은 바로는 그들을 환대하였고, 야곱의 가족이 애굽에 이주하여 살도록 배려했다. 야곱은 그의 가족들을 데리고 애굽으로 이주하여 요셉과 눈물의 재회를 하고 고센 땅에 정착하였다.

	요셉과 형제들의 화해(45:1-45:28)

Then Joseph could not control himself before all those who stood by him, and he cried, "Have everyone go out from me." So there was no man with him when Joseph made himself known to his brothers.

He wept so loudly that the Egyptians heard it, and the household of Pharaoh heard of it.

Then Joseph said to his brothers, "I am Joseph! Is my father still alive?" But his brothers could not answer him, for they were dismayed at his presence.

Then Joseph said to his brothers, "Please come closer to me." And they came closer. And he said, "I am your brother Joseph, whom you sold into Egypt.

"Now do not be grieved or angry with yourselves, because you sold me here, for God sent me before you to preserve life.

요셉은 하인들 앞에서 더 이상 정을 억제할 수가 없어 큰 소리로 명령하여 모든 하인들을 물러가게 하고 형제들에게 자기가 누구라는 것을 알렸는데 그때 그 곳에는 자기 형제들 외에 아무도 없었다.

그리고서 요셉이 큰 소리로 울자 이집트 사람들은 그가 우는 소리를 들었으며 또 그 소문은 바로의 궁전에까지 전해졌다

요셉이 형들에게 '나는 요셉입니다 아버지께서 아직 살아계십니까?' 하자 형들은 그 말을 듣고 너무 놀라 대답을 하지 못하였다

그때 요셉이 형들에게 '나에게 가까이 오십시오' 하자 그들이 가까이 다가갔다. 그래서 요셉이 그들에게 이렇게 말하였다. '나는 형님들이 이집트에 판 동생 요셉입니다.

형님들이 나를 이 곳에 팔았다고 근심하거나 한탄하지 마십시오. 하나님께서 우리 가족을 구하시려고 나를 형님들보다 먼저 이 곳에 보내셨습니다.

"For the famine has been in the land these two years, and there are still five years in which there will be neither plowing nor harvesting.

"God sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant in the earth, and to keep you alive by a great deliverance.

"Now, therefore, it was not you who sent me here, but God; and He has made me a father to Pharaoh and lord of all his household and ruler over all the land of Egypt.

"Hurry and go up to my father, and say to him, 'Thus says your son Joseph, "God has made me lord of all Egypt; come down to me, do not delay.

"You shall live in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near me, you and your children and your children's children and your flocks and your herds and all that you have.

이 땅에 2년 동안 흉년이 들었지만 앞으로도 5년 동안은 경작도 못하고 추수도 못할 것입니다

하나님이 놀라운 방법으로 형님들을 구원하고 형님들과 형님들의 자손들이 살아 남도록 하기 위해서 나를 형님들보다 먼저 보내셨습니다.

그러므로 나를 이 곳이 보내신 분은 형님들이 아니라 하나님이십니다. 하나님이 나를 바로의 고문관으로 삼으시고 또 그의 모든 권한을 나에게 맡겨 온 이집트를 다스리는 총리가 되게 하셨습니다.

이제 형님들은 속히 아버지에게 돌아가셔서 아버지의 아들 요셉이 이렇게 말한다고 일러주십시오. 하나님이 나를 이집트의 총리로 삼으셨습니다 지체하지 마시고 나에게 내려오십시오.

아버지께서는 아들들과 손자들과 함께 아버지의 양과 소와 모든 소유를 이끌고 와서 이 곳 고센 땅에 살면서 나와 가까이 계실 수 있습니다

"There I will also provide for you, for there are still five years of famine to come, and you and your household and all that you have would be impoverished."'

"Behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin see, that it is my mouth which is speaking to you.

"Now you must tell my father of all my splendor in Egypt, and all that you have seen; and you must hurry and bring my father down here."

Then he fell on his brother Benjamin's neck and wept, and Benjamin wept on his neck.

He kissed all his brothers and wept on them, and afterward his brothers talked with him.

아직 5년 동안 흉년이 더 계속될 것이므로 내가 여기서 아버지를 보살피겠습니다. 그렇지 않으면 아버지와 집안 식구들과 짐승이 다 굶주리게 될 것입니다.

여러 형님들과 동생 베냐민도 내가 정말 요셉이라는 것을 보셨습니다.

그러니 이제 내가 이집트에서 누리고 있는 이 모든 영화와 형님들이 본 것을 다 아버지에게 말씀드리고 서둘러 아버지를 모시고 내려오십시오'

그리고서 그가 자기 동생 베냐민을 끌어안고 울자 베냐민도 요셉을 끌어안고 울었다.

그리고 요셉은 형들과 하나하나 입맞추며 울었다. 그제서야 형들이 요셉과 말하기 시작하였다.

Now when the news was heard in Pharaoh's house that Joseph's brothers had come, it pleased Pharaoh and his servants.

Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, "Say to your brothers, 'Do this: load your beasts and go to the land of Canaan,

and take your father and your households and come to me, and I will give you the best of the land of Egypt and you will eat the fat of the land.'

"Now you are ordered, 'Do this: take wagons from the land of Egypt for your little ones and for your wives, and bring your father and come.

'Do not concern yourselves with your goods, for the best of all the land of Egypt is yours.'"

요셉의 형제들이 왔다는 소문이 바로의 궁전에 전해지자 왕과 신하들이 다 기뻐하였다.

그때 바로가 요셉에게 말하였다. '너는 네 형들에게 식량을 싣고 가나안 땅에 돌아가서

네 아버지와 가족을 데려오라고 하라. 내가 그들에게 이집트에서 제일 좋은 땅을 주겠다. 그들은 가장 좋은 농산물을 먹고 살 것이다.

또 너는 그들에게 이집트에서 수레를 가지고 가서 그들의 처자들과 아버지를 태워서 데려오라고 하라.

그들이 가져오지 못하는 물건에 대해서는 염려할 필요가 없다. 이집트의 제일 좋은 것이 다 그들의 것이 될 것이다'

Then the sons of Israel did so; and Joseph gave them wagons according to the command of Pharaoh, and gave them provisions for the journey.

To each of them he gave changes of garments, but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver and five changes of garments.

To his father he sent as follows: ten donkeys loaded with the best things of Egypt, and ten female donkeys loaded with grain and bread and sustenance for his father on the journey.

So he sent his brothers away, and as they departed, he said to them, "Do not quarrel on the journey."

Then they went up from Egypt, and came to the land of Canaan to their father Jacob.

야곱의 아들들이 그렇게 하기로 하자 요셉은 바로가 명령한 대로 그들에게 수레와 길에서 먹을 음식을 주고

또 그들에게 각각 옷 한 벌씩을 주었으며 베냐민에게는 은화 300개와 옷 다섯 벌을 주었다.

그리고 그의 아버지에게는 수나귀 열 마리에 이집트의 제일 좋은 물품을 싣고 또 암나귀 열 마리에는 길에서 아버지에게 드릴 곡식과 빵과 음식을 실어

형들을 돌려보내며 '형님들, 길에서 다투지 마십시오' 하였다.

그들이 이집트를 떠나 가나안 땅에 있는 아버지에게 가서

They told him, saying, "Joseph is still alive, and indeed he is ruler over all the land of Egypt." But he was stunned, for he did not believe them.

When they told him all the words of Joseph that he had spoken to them, and when he saw the wagons that Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of their father Jacob revived.

Then Israel said, "It is enough; my son Joseph is still alive. I will go and see him before I die."

'요셉이 아직 살아 있습니다! 그가 이집트의 국무총리가 되었습니다!' 하자 야곱은 깜짝 놀라며 그들의 말을 믿지 않았다.

그러나 요셉이 말한 것을 다 말해 주자 그는 요셉이 자기를 태우려고 보낸 수레를 보고 그제서야 정신을 차리며

이렇게 말하였다. '더 물어 볼 필요도 없다 내 아들 요셉이 지금까지 살아 있다니! 내가 죽기 전에 가서 그를 봐야겠다'

	애굽으로 이주한 야곱(46:1-46:34)

So Israel set out with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac.

God spoke to Israel in visions of the night and said, "Jacob, Jacob." And he said, "Here I am."

He said, "I am God, the God of your father; do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you a great nation there.

"I will go down with you to Egypt, and I will also surely bring you up again; and Joseph will close your eyes."

Then Jacob arose from Beersheba; and the sons of Israel carried their father Jacob and their little ones and their wives in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.

그래서 야곱은 모든 소유를 가지고 그 곳을 떠났다. 그는 브엘세바에 이르러 자기 아버지 이삭의 하나님께 제사를 드렸다.

그 날 밤 하나님이 환상 가운데 나타나셔서 '야곱아, 야곱아!' 하고 부르셨다. 그때 야곱이 '내가 여기 있습니다' 하고 대답하자

하나님이 이렇게 말씀하셨다. '나는 하나님 곧 네 아버지의 하나님이다. 이집트로 내려가는 것을 두려워하지 말아라. 내가 거기서 네 후손을 큰 민족이 되게 하겠다.

내가 너와 함께 이집트로 내려간 것이며 네 후손을 인도하여 다시 이 땅으로 올라오게 할 것이다. 그러나 너는 요셉이 지켜보는 가운데 이집트에서 죽을 것이다'

야곱이 브엘세바에서 떠날 때 그의 아들들은 바로가 보낸 수레에 자기들의 아버지 야곱과 처자들을 태웠다.

They took their livestock and their property, which they had acquired in the land of Canaan, and came to Egypt, Jacob and all his descendants with him:

his sons and his grandsons with him, his daughters and his granddaughters, and all his descendants he brought with him to Egypt.

Now these are the names of the sons of Israel, Jacob and his sons, who went to Egypt: Reuben, Jacob's firstborn.

The sons of Reuben: Hanoch and Pallu and Hezron and Carmi.

The sons of Simeon: Jemuel and Jamin and Ohad and Jachin and Zohar and Shaul the son of a Canaanite woman.

그들은 가나안 땅에서 얻은 가축과 모든 재산을 가지고 이집트로 갔는데 야곱은 그의 모든 자손,

곧 그의 아들들과 손자들과 딸들과 손녀들을 데리고 이집트로 내려갔다.

야곱과 함께 이집트로 내려간 그들의 가족들은 다음과 같다 야곱의 맏아들인 르우벤,

르우벤의 아들인 하녹, 발루, 헤스론, 갈미

시므온과 그의 아들인 여무엘, 야민, 오핫, 야긴, 소할, 그리고 가나안 여자에게서 태어난 사울

The sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

The sons of Judah: Er and Onan and Shelah and Perez and Zerah (but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan). And the sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul.

The sons of Issachar: Tola and Puvvah and Iob and Shimron.

The sons of Zebulun: Sered and Elon and Jahleel.

These are the sons of Leah, whom she bore to Jacob in Paddan-aram, with his daughter Dinah; all his sons and his daughters numbered thirty-three.

레위와 그의 아들인 게르손, 고핫,므라리

유다와 그의 아들인 엘, 오난, 셀라, 베레스, 세라이며 엘과 오난은 가나안 땅에서 죽었다. 그리고 베레스의 아들인 헤스론과 하물

잇사갈과 그의 아들인 돌라, 부아, 야숩, 시므론

스불론과 그의 아들인 세렛, 엘론, 얄르엘이다.

이상은 레아가 메소포타미아에서 야곱에게 낳은 아들들과 그 자손들이며 이들은 그녀의 딸 디나를 포함하여 남녀 모두 33명이었다.

The sons of Gad: Ziphion and Haggi, Shuni and Ezbon, Eri and Arodi and Areli.

The sons of Asher: Imnah and Ishvah and Ishvi and Beriah and their sister Serah And the sons of Beriah: Heber and Malchiel.

These are the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to his daughter Leah; and she bore to Jacob these sixteen persons.

The sons of Jacob's wife Rachel: Joseph and Benjamin.

Now to Joseph in the land of Egypt were born Manasseh and Ephraim, whom Asenath, the daughter of Potiphera, priest of On, bore to him.

그리고 갓과 그의 아들인 스본, 학기, 수니, 에스본, 에리, 아로디, 아렐리

아셀과 그의 아들인 임나, 이스와, 이스위, 브리아, 그들의 누이 세라, 그리고 브리아의 아들인 헤벨과 말기엘이다.

이상은 라반이 그의 딸 레아에게 준 여종 실바가 야곱에게 낳은 자손들로 모두 16명이었다.

야곱의 아내 라헬은 요셉과 베나민 두 아들을 낳았는데

요셉은 이집트에서 헬리오폴리스의 제사장 보디베라의 딸인 아스낫과 결혼하여 므낫세와 에브라임을 낳았다.

The sons of Benjamin: Bela and Becher and Ashbel, Gera and Naaman, Ehi and Rosh, Muppim and Huppim and Ard.

These are the sons of Rachel, who were born to Jacob; there were fourteen persons in all.

The sons of Dan: Hushim.

The sons of Naphtali: Jahzeel and Guni and Jezer and Shillem.

These are the sons of Bilhah, whom Laban gave to his daughter Rachel, and she bore these to Jacob; there were seven persons in all.

그리고 베냐민의 아들은 벨라, 베겔, 아스벨, 게라, 나아만, 에히, 로스, 뭅빔, 훕빔, 아릇이다.

이상은 라헬이 야곱에게 낳은 자손들로 모두 14명이었다.

또 단과 그의 아들 후심

납달리와 그의 아들인 야셀, 구니, 예셀, 실렘이다.

이상은 라반이 그의 딸 라헬에게 준 여종 빌하가 야곱에게 낳은 자손들로 모두 7명이었다.

All the persons belonging to Jacob, who came to Egypt, his direct descendants, not including the wives of Jacob's sons, were sixty-six persons in all,

and the sons of Joseph, who were born to him in Egypt were two; all the persons of the house of Jacob, who came to Egypt, were seventy.

Now he sent Judah before him to Joseph, to point out the way before him to Goshen; and they came into the land of Goshen.

Joseph prepared his chariot and went up to Goshen to meet his father Israel; as soon as he appeared before him, he fell on his neck and wept on his neck a long time.

Then Israel said to Joseph, "Now let me die, since I have seen your face, that you are still alive."

이와 같이 야곱과 함께 이집트에 내려온 사람들은 그의 며느리들 외에 모두 66명이었는데

야곱과 요셉, 그리고 이집트에서 요셉에게 태어난 두 아들을 포함시키면 이집트로 내려온 야곱의 가족들은 모두 70명이었다.

야곱이 먼저 유다를 요셉에게 보내 고센에서 만나자고 하였다. 그들이 고센 땅에 도착하자

요셉은 수레를 타고 고센으로 와서 아버지를 만나 목을 끌어안고 오랫동안 울었다.

이때 야곱이 요셉에게 '네가 아직 살아 있는 것을 내 눈으로 똑똑히 보았으니 이제는 죽어도 여한이 없다' 하였다.

Joseph said to his brothers and to his father's household, "I will go up and tell Pharaoh, and will say to him, 'My brothers and my father's household, who were in the land of Canaan, have come to me;

and the men are shepherds, for they have been keepers of livestock; and they have brought their flocks and their herds and all that they have.'

"When Pharaoh calls you and says, 'What is your occupation?'

you shall say, 'Your servants have been keepers of livestock from our youth even until now, both we and our fathers,' that you may live in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is loathsome to the Egyptians."

그리고 요셉은 형들과 그들의 가족들에게 이렇게 말하였다. '내가 바로에게 가서 가나안 땅에 살던 내 형님들과 아버지의 가족들이 모두 여기에 왔다고 말해야겠습니다.

나는 또 왕에게 그들은 목축을 하는 사람들이므로 모든 재산을 가지고 양과 소도 함께 끌고 왔습니다 하고 말하겠습니다.

바로가 형님들과 여러 가족들에게 직업이 무엇이냐고 묻거든

우리는 어렸을 때부터 지금까지 우리 조상들처럼 목축을 해왔습니다 하고 말하십시오. 이집트 사람들이 목축하는 사람들을 천시하기 때문에 형님들과 여러 가족들은 고센 땅에서 살게 될 것입니다'

	기경(起耕, 45:6) 논밭을 가는 일

	기색(氣塞, 45:26) 어떤 일에 놀라서 잠시 숨을 쉬지 못함
