마태복음 17:22-18:14

 예수께서 두번째로 자신이 수난당하실 것을 말씀하시고, 어린아이와 같은 겸손과 지극히 작은 자에 대한 관심과 사랑을 실천할 것을 교훈하셨다.
  
  두번째 수난 예언(17:22-17:27)    
 
  1. And while they were gathering together in Galilee, Jesus said to them, "The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men;
  2. and they will kill Him, and He will be raised on the third day." And they were deeply grieved.
  3. When they came to Capernaum, those who collected the two-drachma tax came to Peter and said, "Does your teacher not pay the two-drachma tax?"
  4. He said, "Yes." And when he came into the house, Jesus spoke to him first, saying, "What do you think, Simon? From whom do the kings of the earth collect customs or poll-tax, from their sons or from strangers?"
  5. When Peter said, "From strangers," Jesus said to him, "Then the sons are exempt.
  1. 제자들이 갈릴리에 모였을 때 예수님이 그들에게 '내가 사람들의 손에 넘어가
  2. 죽임을 당하고 3일 만에 다시 살아날 것이다.' 하고 말씀하시자 제자들은 큰 슬픔에 잠겼다.
  3. 그들이 가버나움으로 갔을 때 성전세 받는 사람들이 베드로에게 와서 '당신들의 선생님은 성전세를 안 바칩니까?' 하고 물었다.
  4. 그래서 베드로는 '아닙니다. 바칩니다.' 하고 대답하였다. 베드로가 집에 들어갔을 때 예수님이 먼저 말씀하셨다. '시몬아, 너는 어떻게 생각하느냐? 세상 왕들이 누구에게서 관세나 세금을 받아들이느냐? 자기 아들들에게서냐, 아니면 다른 사람에게서냐?'
  5. 그때 베드로가 '다른 사람에게서 받아들입니다.' 하고 대답하자 예수님이 이렇게 말씀하셨다. '그렇다면 아들들은 세금을 내지 않아도 된다.
  1. "However, so that we do not offend them, go to the sea and throw in a hook, and take the first fish that comes up; and when you open its mouth, you will find a shekel. Take that and give it to them for you and Me."
  1. 그러나 우리가 그들의 감정을 상하게 해서는 안 되겠다. 너는 바다에 가서 낚시를 던져라. 먼저 잡히는 고기의 입을 벌리면 은화 한 개가 있을 것이다. 그것을 가져다가 나와 너의 성전세로 주어라.'
 
  천국에서 가장 큰 자(18:1-18:14)    
 
  1. At that time the disciples came to Jesus and said, "Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?"
  2. And He called a child to Himself and set him before them,
  3. and said, "Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.
  4. "Whoever then humbles himself as this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
  5. "And whoever receives one such child in My name receives Me;
  1. 그때 제자들이 예수님께 와서 '하늘 나라에서는 누가 가장 위대합니까?' 하고 물었다.
  2. 그래서 예수님은 한 어린 아이를 불러 그들 가운데 세우고
  3. 이렇게 말씀하셨다. '내가 분명히 말해 둔다. 너희가 변화되어 어린 아이와 같이 되지 않으면 결코 하늘 나라에 들어가지 못할 것이다.
  4. 그러므로 하늘 나라에서 가장 위대한 사람은 이 어린 아이처럼 자기를 낮추는 사람이다.
  5. 누구든지 내 이름으로 이런 어린 아이를 영접하면 곧 나를 영접하는 것이다.
  1. but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a heavy millstone hung around his neck, and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.
  2. "Woe to the world because of its stumbling blocks! For it is inevitable that stumbling blocks come; but woe to that man through whom the stumbling block comes!
  3. "If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it from you; it is better for you to enter life crippled or lame, than to have two hands or two feet and be cast into the eternal fire.
  4. "If your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it from you It is better for you to enter life with one eye, than to have two eyes and be cast into the fiery hell.
  5. "See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven continually see the face of My Father who is in heaven.
  1. 그러나 누구든지 나를 믿는 이런 어린아이 하나를 죄 짓게 하는 사람은 차라리 목에 큰 맷돌짝을 달아 깊은 바다에 빠져 죽는 것이 더 낫다.
  2. 죄 짓게 하는 일 때문에 이 세상에 불행이 닥칠 것이다. 세상에는 죄 짓게 하는 일이 항상 있기 마련이다. 그러나 죄 짓게 하는 그 사람에게는 불행이 닥칠 것이다.
  3. 네 손이나 발이 너를 죄 짓게 하면 잘라 버려라. 두 손이나 두 발을 가지고 영원히 불타는 지옥에 들어가는 것보다는 절뚝발이나 불구자로 영원한 생명을 누리는 하늘 나라에 들어가는 것이 더 낫다.
  4. 네 눈이 너를 죄 짓게 하면 빼어 버려라. 두 눈을 가지고 불타는 지옥에 들어가는 것보다는 외눈으로 하나님 나라에 들어가는 것이 더 낫다.
  5. 너희는 이런 어린 아이 하나라도 업신여기지 않도록 조심하라. 그들의 천사들이 하늘에 계신 내 아버지를 항상 뵙고 있다.
  1. ["For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost.]
  2. "What do you think? If any man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go and search for the one that is straying?
  3. "If it turns out that he finds it, truly I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine which have not gone astray.
  4. "So it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones perish.
  1. (나는 잃어버린 사람을 구원하러 왔다.)
  2. 너희는 어떻게 생각하느냐? 어떤 사람에게 양 백 마리가 있는데 그 중에 한 마리가 길을 잃으면 아흔아홉 마리를 산에 두고 가서 길 잃은 양을 찾지 않겠느냐?
  3. 내가 너희에게 분명히 말하지만 그가 양을 찾으면 길을 잃지 않은 아흔 아홉 마리 양보다 그 한 마리 양 때문에 더 기뻐할 것이다.
  4. 이와 같이 하늘에 계신 너희 아버지께서는 이런 어린 아이 하나라도 잃는 것을 원치 않으신다.'
 
  관세와 정세(丁稅關稅, 17:25)  관세는 지방세와 물품세를, 정세는 국세와 인두세를 말함
