출애굽기 5:1-6:30

 모세는 바로 앞에 서서 이스라엘 백성을 보내어 광야에서 하나님께 절기를 지키게 할 것을 요청했다. 그러나 바로는 오히려 이스라엘 백성들의 고역을 더욱 무겁게 하였다. 이에 실망한 모세가 하나님께 기도하자 하나님께서는 다시 한번 이스라엘 백성을 구하실 것을 확신시켜 주셨다.
  
  바로와의 1차 대면(5:1-5:23)    
 
  1. And afterward Moses and Aaron came and said to Pharaoh, "Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, 'Let My people go that they may celebrate a feast to Me in the wilderness.'"
  2. But Pharaoh said, "Who is the LORD that I should obey His voice to let Israel go? I do not know the LORD, and besides, I will not let Israel go."
  3. Then they said, "The God of the Hebrews has met with us. Please, let us go a three days' journey into the wilderness that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God, otherwise He will fall upon us with pestilence or with the sword."
  4. But the king of Egypt said to them, "Moses and Aaron, why do you draw the people away from their work? Get back to your labors!"
  5. Again Pharaoh said, "Look, the people of the land are now many, and you would have them cease from their labors!"
  1. 그 후에 모세와 아론이 바로에게 가서 말하였다. '이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께서 내 백성을 보내 그들이 광야에서 나를 기념하는 명절을 지키게 하라고 말씀하십니다.'
  2. '도대체 여호와가 누군데 내가 그의 말을 듣고 이스라엘 자손을 보내야 한단 말이냐? 나는 여호와를 알지 못하며 이스라엘 자손도 보내지 않겠다.'
  3. '히브리 사람의 하나님이 우리에게 나타나셨습니다. 우리가 3일길쯤 광야로 들어가서 우리 하나님 여호와께 희생제물을 드릴 수 있도록 허락해 주십시오. 그렇지 않으면 여호와께서 무서운 질병이나 칼로 우리를 죽이실 것입니다.'
  4. '모세와 아론아, 너희가 어째서 백성들이 일을 못하게 하느냐? 가서 너희 일이나 하여라!
  5. 이제 너희 백성이 많아졌는데 너희가 그들의 일을 중단시키려 드는구나'
  1. So the same day Pharaoh commanded the taskmasters over the people and their foremen, saying,
  2. "You are no longer to give the people straw to make brick as previously; let them go and gather straw for themselves.
  3. "But the quota of bricks which they were making previously, you shall impose on them; you are not to reduce any of it. Because they are lazy, therefore they cry out, 'Let us go and sacrifice to our God.'
  4. "Let the labor be heavier on the men, and let them work at it so that they will pay no attention to false words."
  5. So the taskmasters of the people and their foremen went out and spoke to the people, saying, "Thus says Pharaoh, 'I am not going to give you any straw.
  1. 바로는 바로 그 날 감독들과 작업 반장들에게 이렇게 명령하였다.
  2. '너희는 벽돌을 만드는 데 필요한 짚을 백성들에게 더 이상 공급하지 말고 그들이 직접 가서 구해 쓰게 하라.
  3. 그리고 지금까지 만들던 벽돌의 수를 그대로 만들게 하고 작업량을 조금도 줄이지 말아라. 그들이 게을러졌기 때문에 가서 우리 하나님께 희생제물을 드리게 해 주십시오 하고 부르짖고 있다.
  4. 너희는 그 사람들의 일을 더욱 무겁게 하여 계속 고달프게 일하게 하고 거짓말에 귀를 기울일 겨를이 없게 하라'
  5. 그래서 감독들과 작업 반장들이 나가 이스라엘 백성들에게 말하였다. '왕은 너희에게 더 이상 짚을 공급하지 않겠다고 하시며
  1. 'You go and get straw for yourselves wherever you can find it, but none of your labor will be reduced.'"
  2. So the people scattered through all the land of Egypt to gather stubble for straw.
  3. The taskmasters pressed them, saying, "Complete your work quota, your daily amount, just as when you had straw."
  4. Moreover, the foremen of the sons of Israel, whom Pharaoh's taskmasters had set over them, were beaten and were asked, "Why have you not completed your required amount either yesterday or today in making brick as previously?"
  5. Then the foremen of the sons of Israel came and cried out to Pharaoh, saying, "Why do you deal this way with your servants?
  1. 너희가 직접 나가서 짚을 주워 쓰되 전과 같은 책임량을 반드시 달성해야 한다고 말씀하셨다.'
  2. 그래서 백성들은 이집트 온 땅에 흩어져 곡식의 그루터기를 걷어다가 짚대신 사용하였다.
  3. 감독들은 짚이 있을 때와 같이 매일매일의 책임량을 달성하라고 독촉하였으며
  4. 또 이집트의 그 감독들은 자기들이 세운 이스라엘 자손의 작업 반장들을 때리며 '너희는 왜 어제와 오늘의 책임량을 전과 같이 달성하지 하느냐?' 하고 따졌다.
  5. 그러자 이스라엘 자손의 작업 반장들이 바로에게 가서 이렇게 호소하였다. '왕은 어째서 우리를 이렇게 대하십니까?
  1. "There is no straw given to your servants, yet they keep saying to us, 'Make bricks!' And behold, your servants are being beaten; but it is the fault of your own people."
  2. But he said, "You are lazy, very lazy; therefore you say, 'Let us go and sacrifice to the LORD.'
  3. "So go now and work; for you will be given no straw, yet you must deliver the quota of bricks."
  4. The foremen of the sons of Israel saw that they were in trouble because they were told, "You must not reduce your daily amount of bricks."
  5. When they left Pharaoh's presence, they met Moses and Aaron as they were waiting for them.
  1. 감독들이 우리에게 짚은 주지 않고 벽돌만 만들라고 강요합니다. 우리가 매를 맞지마는 잘못은 왕의 백성들에 있습니다.'
  2. 그때 왕이 대답하였다. '너희는 정말 게으르구나. 그래서 너희가 일은 하지 않고 여호와께 희생제물을 드리러 가게 해 달라는 말을 하고 있다.
  3. 이제 너희나 가서 일이나 하여라. 너희에게 짚은 주지 않겠다. 그러나 너희는 전과 같은 양의 벽돌을 만들어내야 한다'
  4. 이스라엘 자손의 작업 반장들은 매일 만들던 벽돌의 수를 조금도 줄일 수 없다는 말을 듣고 자기들이 곤경에 처한 것을 알게 되었다.
  5. 그들은 바로 앞에서 나오다가 그들을 만나려고 기다리던 모세와 아론을 보고
  1. They said to them, "May the LORD look upon you and judge you, for you have made us odious in Pharaoh's sight and in the sight of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to kill us."
  2. Then Moses returned to the LORD and said, "O Lord, why have You brought harm to this people? Why did You ever send me?
  3. "Ever since I came to Pharaoh to speak in Your name, he has done harm to this people, and You have not delivered Your people at all."
  1. 이렇게 말하였다. '당신들이 우리를 바로와 그의 신하들에게 눈의 가시처럼 되게 하여 그들에게 우리를 죽일 구실을 주었으니 여호와께서 당신들이 행한 일을 판단하시고 벌하실 것이오'
  2. 그러자 모세는 여호와께 다시 돌아가서 이렇게 부르짖었다. '여호와여, 어째서 이 백성에게 이런 어려움을 주셨습니까? 무엇 때문에 나를 보내셨습니까?
  3. 내가 바로에게 가서 주의 이름으로 말한 그때부터 그가 더욱 이 백성을 학대하는데도 주께서는 주의 백성을 전혀 구해 주지 않으셨습니다.'
 
  언약의 하나님(6:1-6:30)    
 
  1. Then the LORD said to Moses, "Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh; for under compulsion he will let them go, and under compulsion he will drive them out of his land."
  2. God spoke further to Moses and said to him, "I am the LORD;
  3. and I appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, as God Almighty, but by My name, LORD, I did not make Myself known to them.
  4. "I also established My covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land in which they sojourned.
  5. "Furthermore I have heard the groaning of the sons of Israel, because the Egyptians are holding them in bondage, and I have remembered My covenant.
  1. 그때 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. '이제 너는 내가 바로에게 행할 일을 보게 될 것이다. 그는 내 백성을 보내 주지 않을 수 없다. 내가 그에게 압력을 가할 것이니 그가 내 백성을 그 땅에서 쫓아낼 것이다.'
  2. 하나님이 모세에게 다시 말씀하셨다. '나는 여호와이다.
  3. 나는 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱에게 전능한 하나님으로 나타났으나 그들에게 여호와라는 이름으로는 나를 알리지 않았다.
  4. 나는 또 그들이 나그네로 살던 가나안 땅을 그들에게 주기로 약속하고 그들과 계약을 맺었다.
  5. 그런데 나는 이집트 사람들이 종으로 삼은 이스라엘 사람들의 신음 소리를 듣고 내 계약을 기억하였다.
  1. "Say, therefore, to the sons of Israel, 'I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from their bondage I will also redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments.
  2. 'Then I will take you for My people, and I will be your God; and you shall know that I am the LORD your God, who brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.
  3. 'I will bring you to the land which I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and I will give it to you for a possession; I am the LORD.'"
  4. So Moses spoke thus to the sons of Israel, but they did not listen to Moses on account of their despondency and cruel bondage.
  5. Now the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
  1. 그러므로 너는 이스라엘 자손들에게 내가 이렇게 말한다고 일러주어라. 나는 여호와이다. 내가 너희를 이집트 사람들의 노예 생활에서 해방시켜 자유로운 몸이 되게 하고 큰 능력과 심판으로 너희를 구원하여
  2. 내 백성으로 삼고 나는 너희 하나님이 될 것이다. 그러면 너희는 내가 이집트 사람들의 노예 생활에서 너희를 구출한 너희 하나님 여호와임을 알게 될 것이다.
  3. 내가 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱에게 주기로 맹세한 땅으로 너희를 인도하겠다. 그리고 내가 그 땅을 너희에게 주어 너희 소유가 되게 하겠다. 나는 여호와이다.'
  4. 모세는 이스라엘 자손들에게 여호와의 말씀을 전했으나 그들은 마음이 상하고 혹독한 노예 생활에 시달렸기 때문의 모세의 말을 듣지 않았다.
  5. 그때 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.
  1. "Go, tell Pharaoh king of Egypt to let the sons of Israel go out of his land."
  2. But Moses spoke before the LORD, saying, "Behold, the sons of Israel have not listened to me; how then will Pharaoh listen to me, for I am unskilled in speech?"
  3. Then the LORD spoke to Moses and to Aaron, and gave them a charge to the sons of Israel and to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt.
  4. These are the heads of their fathers' households. The sons of Reuben, Israel's firstborn: Hanoch and Pallu, Hezron and Carmi; these are the families of Reuben.
  5. The sons of Simeon: Jemuel and Jamin and Ohad and Jachin and Zohar and Shaul the son of a Canaanite woman; these are the families of Simeon.
  1. '너는 이집트 왕 바로에게 가서 이스라엘 자손을 그 땅에서 나가게 하라고 말하라'
  2. 그러나 모세가 여호와께 '이스라엘 자손도 내 말을 듣지 않았는데 바로가 어찌 네 말을 듣겠습니까? 나는 말을 잘 못하는 자입니다.' 하고 대답하자
  3. 여호와께서 모세와 아론에게 명령하셨다. '너희는 이스라엘 자손과 이집트 왕에게 내 말을 전하고 이스라엘 자손을 이집트에서 인도해 내라'
  4. 이스라엘 각 지파의 집안 어른들은 다음과 같다. : 야곱의 장남 르우벤의 아들인 하녹, 발루, 헤스론, 갈미는 르우벤 지파의 족장들이며
  5. 시므온의 아들인 여무엘, 야민, 오핫, 야긴, 소할, 그리고 가나안 여자에게서 태어난 사울은 시므온 지파의 족장들이었다.
  1. These are the names of the sons of Levi according to their generations: Gershon and Kohath and Merari; and the length of Levi's life was one hundred and thirty-seven years.
  2. The sons of Gershon: Libni and Shimei, according to their families.
  3. The sons of Kohath: Amram and Izhar and Hebron and Uzziel; and the length of Kohath's life was one hundred and thirty-three years.
  4. The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites according to their generations.
  5. Amram married his father's sister Jochebed, and she bore him Aaron and Moses; and the length of Amram's life was one hundred and thirty-seven years.
  1. 레위의 아들인 게르손, 고핫, 므라리는 레위 지파의 족장들이며 레위는 137세까지 살았다.
  2. 그리고 게르손의 아들인 립니, 시므이,
  3. 고핫의 아들인 아므람, 이스할, 헤브론, 웃시엘도 레위 지파의 족장들이며 고핫은 133세까지 살았다.
  4. 또 므라리의 아들인 마흘리와 무시도 레위 지파의 족장들이었다. 이상은 세대별로 기록된 레위 집안들이다.
  5. 아므람은 자기 고모 요게벳과 결혼하였는데 그녀가 아론과 모세를 낳았으며 아므람은 137세까지 살았다.
  1. The sons of Izhar: Korah and Nepheg and Zichri.
  2. The sons of Uzziel: Mishael and Elzaphan and Sithri.
  3. Aaron married Elisheba, the daughter of Amminadab, the sister of Nahshon, and she bore him Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.
  4. The sons of Korah: Assir and Elkanah and Abiasaph; these are the families of the Korahites.
  5. Aaron's son Eleazar married one of the daughters of Putiel, and she bore him Phinehas. These are the heads of the fathers' households of the Levites according to their families.
  1. 이스할의 아들은 고라, 네벡, 시그리이며
  2. 웃시엘의 아들은 미사엘, 엘사반, 시드리였다.
  3. 아론은 암미나답의 딸이며 나손의 누이인 엘리세바와 결혼하였으며 그녀가 나답, 아비후, 엘르아살, 이다말을 낳았다.
  4. 그리고 고라의 아들은 앗실, 엘가나, 아비아삽이며 이들은 고라 집안의 족장들이었다.
  5. 아론의 아들 엘르아살은 부디엘의 딸 중 하나와 결혼하였으며 그녀는 비느하스를 낳았다. 이상은 다 레위 지파의 족장이며 가장들이었다.
  1. It was the same Aaron and Moses to whom the LORD said, "Bring out the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt according to their hosts."
  2. They were the ones who spoke to Pharaoh king of Egypt about bringing out the sons of Israel from Egypt; it was the same Moses and Aaron.
  3. Now it came about on the day when the LORD spoke to Moses in the land of Egypt,
  4. that the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, "I am the LORD; speak to Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I speak to you."
  5. But Moses said before the LORD, "Behold, I am unskilled in speech; how then will Pharaoh listen to me?"
  1. 이스라엘 자손을 이집트에서 인도해 내라는 여호와의 명령을 받은 사람이 바로 이 아론과 모세이며
  2. 이집트 왕에게 이스라엘 자손을 보내라고 말한 자도 이들이었다.
  3. 여호와께서 이집트에서 모세에게 말씀하실 때
  4. '나는 여호와이다. 내가 너에게 말하는 모든 것을 너는 이집트 왕 바로에게 전하라' 하셨다.
  5. 그러나 모세는 여호와께 '나는 말을 잘 못하는데 바로가 어찌 내 말을 듣겠습니까?' 하고 대답하였다.
