- She rises also while it is still night And gives food to her household And portions to her maidens.
- She considers a field and buys it; From her earnings she plants a vineyard.
- She girds herself with strength And makes her arms strong.
- She senses that her gain is good; Her lamp does not go out at night.
- She stretches out her hands to the distaff, And her hands grasp the spindle.

- 날이 밝기도 전에 일찍 일어나서 가족들을 위해 아침 식사를 준비하며 여종에게 할 일을 일러 주고
- 나가서 밭을 보고 생각해 두었다가 그것을 사며 자기가 번 돈으로 포도원을 만들고
- 언제나 강인하고 근면하며 열심히 일한다.
- 그녀는 자기가 하는 일이 유익한 줄 알고 밤 늦게까지 일을 하며
- 손수 물레질을 하여 실을 뽑고 베를 짜며

- She extends her hand to the poor, And she stretches out her hands to the needy.
- She is not afraid of the snow for her household, For all her household are clothed with scarlet.
- She makes coverings for herself; Her clothing is fine linen and purple.
- Her husband is known in the gates, When he sits among the elders of the land.
- She makes linen garments and sells them, And supplies belts to the tradesmen.

- 그녀는 모든 가족에게 입힐 따뜻한 옷을 마련해 놓았으므로 겨울이 닥쳐도 염려하지 않는다.
- 그녀는 자기 침실을 아름답게 꾸미며 아름답고 고운 모시 옷과 자색 옷을 입는다.
- 그리고 그 남편도 지도급 인사로 알려져 존경을 받게 된다.
- 그녀는 옷과 허리띠를 만들어 상인들에게 넘기기도 한다.

- Her children rise up and bless her; Her husband also, and he praises her, saying:
- "Many daughters have done nobly, But you excel them all."

- 그녀는 능력과 품위가 있고 앞날을 걱정하지 않으며
- 말을 지혜롭고 친절하게 하고
- 자기 집안 일을 잘 보살피며 놀고 먹지 않는다.
- 그 자녀들은 자기 어머니를 고맙게 생각하며 그 남편도 그녀에게
- '세상에는 훌륭한 여성들이 많이 있지만 당신은 그 중에서도 가장 위대한 여성이오.' 하고 칭찬한다.

- Give her the product of her hands, And let her works praise her in the gates.

- 고운 것도 거짓되고 아름다운 것도 헛되지만 두려운 마음으로 여호와를 섬기는 여성은 칭찬을 받을 것이다.
- 그녀는 자기가 행한 일에 대한 보상을 받고 모든 사람들에게 칭찬을 받을 것이다.
