- O LORD, You have searched me and known me.
- You know when I sit down and when I rise up; You understand my thought from afar.
- You scrutinize my path and my lying down, And are intimately acquainted with all my ways.
- Even before there is a word on my tongue, Behold, O LORD, You know it all.
- You have enclosed me behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me.

- 주님, 주님께서 나를 샅샅이 살펴보셨으니, 나를 환히 알고 계십니다.
- 내가 앉아 있거나 서 있거나 주님께서는 다 아십니다. 멀리서도 내 생각을 다 알고 계십니다.
- 내가 길을 가거나 누워 있거나, 주님께서는 다 살피고 계시니, 내 모든 행실을 다 알고 계십니다.
- 내가 혀를 놀려 아무 말 하지 않아도 주님께서는 내가 하려는 말을 이미 다 알고 계십니다.
- 주님께서 나의 앞뒤를 두루 감싸 주시고, 내게 주님의 손을 얹어 주셨습니다.

- Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is too high, I cannot attain to it.
- Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?
- If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there.
- If I take the wings of the dawn, If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea,
- Even there Your hand will lead me, And Your right hand will lay hold of me.

- 이 깨달음이 내게는 너무 놀랍고 너무 높아서, 내가 감히 측량할 수조차 없습니다.
- 내가 주님의 영을 피해서 어디로 가며, 주님의 얼굴을 피해서 어디로 도망치겠습니까?
- 내가 하늘로 올라가더라도 주님께서는 거기에 계시고, 스올에다 자리를 펴더라도 주님은 거기에도 계십니다.
- 내가 저 동녘 너머로 날아가거나, 바다 끝 서쪽으로 가서 거기에 머무를지라도,
- 거기에서도 주님의 손이 나를 인도하여 주시고, 주님의 오른손이 나를 힘있게 붙들어 주십니다.

- If I say, "Surely the darkness will overwhelm me, And the light around me will be night,"
- Even the darkness is not dark to You, And the night is as bright as the day Darkness and light are alike to You.

- 내가 말하기를 "아, 어둠이 와락 나에게 달려들어서, 나를 비추던 빛이 밤처럼 되어라" 해도,
- 주님 앞에서는 어둠도 어둠이 아니며, 밤도 대낮처럼 밝으니, 주님 앞에서는 어둠과 빛이 다 같습니다.
