- Then the word of the LORD came to me saying,
- "Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel who prophesy, and say to those who prophesy from their own inspiration, 'Listen to the word of the LORD!
- 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "Woe to the foolish prophets who are following their own spirit and have seen nothing.
- "O Israel, your prophets have been like foxes among ruins.
- "You have not gone up into the breaches, nor did you build the wall around the house of Israel to stand in the battle on the day of the LORD.

- 주님께서 나에게 말씀하셨다.
- "사람아, 너는, 예언한다고 하는 이스라엘의 예언자들을 규탄하여 예언하여라. 자기들의 마음대로 예언하는 사람들에게, 나 주가 하는 말을 들으라고 하여라.
- 나 주 하나님이 말한다. 내가 보여 준 환상을 보지도 못하고 저희들의 생각을 따라서 예언하는, 어리석은 예언자들에게 화가 있을 것이다.
- 이스라엘아, 너희 예언자들은 폐허 더미에 있는 여우와 같다.
- 너희의 성벽이 무너졌는데도, 너희 예언자들은 성벽 무너진 곳에 올라가지도 않았으며, 이스라엘 족속을 위하여 주의 날에 전쟁에 대비하려고 성벽을 보수하지도 않았다.

- "They see falsehood and lying divination who are saying, 'The LORD declares,' when the LORD has not sent them; yet they hope for the fulfillment of their word.
- "Did you not see a false vision and speak a lying divination when you said, 'The LORD declares,' but it is not I who have spoken?"'"
- Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD, "Because you have spoken falsehood and seen a lie, therefore behold, I am against you," declares the Lord GOD.
- "So My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and utter lying divinations They will have no place in the council of My people, nor will they be written down in the register of the house of Israel, nor will they enter the land of Israel, that you may know that I am the Lord GOD.
- "It is definitely because they have misled My people by saying, 'Peace!' when there is no peace. And when anyone builds a wall, behold, they plaster it over with whitewash;

- 그들은 헛된 환상을 보고, 속이는 점괘를 보며, 내가 그들을 보내지도 않았는데 내가 일러준 말이라고 하면서 예언을 하고 또 그 말이 이루어지기를 기다리고 있다!
- 나는 너희에게 전혀 말한 일이 없는데, 너희는 나에게 받은 말씀이라고 하면서, 헛된 환상과 속이는 점괘를 말한 것이 아니냐?
- 그러므로 나 주 하나님이 말한다. 너희가 헛된 것을 말하고 속이는 것을 보았기 때문에, 내가 너희를 치겠다. 나 주 하나님의 말이다.
- 헛된 환상을 보고 속이는 점괘를 말하는 그 예언자들을 내가 직접 치겠다. 그들은 내 백성의 공회에 들어올 수도 없고, 이스라엘 족속의 호적에 등록될 수도 없고, 이스라엘 땅으로 들어갈 수도 없을 것이다. 그 때에야 비로소 너희는, 내가 주 하나님인 줄 알게 될 것이다.
- 내가 이렇게 그들을 치는 까닭은, 그들이 내 백성을 잘못 인도하였기 때문이다. 무엇하나 잘 되는 것이 없는데도 잘 되어 간다고 하여 백성을 속였기 때문이다. 내 백성이 담을 세우면, 그들은 그 위에 회칠이나 하는 자들이다.

- so tell those who plaster it over with whitewash, that it will fall. A flooding rain will come, and you, O hailstones, will fall; and a violent wind will break out.
- "Behold, when the wall has fallen, will you not be asked, 'Where is the plaster with which you plastered it?'"
- Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD, "I will make a violent wind break out in My wrath. There will also be in My anger a flooding rain and hailstones to consume it in wrath.
- "So I will tear down the wall which you plastered over with whitewash and bring it down to the ground, so that its foundation is laid bare; and when it falls, you will be consumed in its midst And you will know that I am the LORD.
- "Thus I will spend My wrath on the wall and on those who have plastered it over with whitewash; and I will say to you, 'The wall is gone and its plasterers are gone,

- 그러므로 너는, 회칠하는 자들에게, 그 담이 무너질 것이라고 말하여라. 내가 소나기를 퍼붓고, 우박을 쏟아내리고, 폭풍을 일으킬 것이니,
- 그 담이 무너질 때에, 그들이 발랐던 그 회칠이 다 어찌되었느냐고, 비난하여 추궁할 것이라고 하여라.
- 그러므로 나 주 하나님이 말한다. 내가 분노하여 폭풍을 일으키고, 내가 진노하여 폭우를 퍼붓고, 내가 분노하여 우박을 쏟으면, 그 담이 무너질 것이다.
- 너희가 회칠한 그 담을, 내가 허물어서 땅바닥에 쓰러뜨리고, 그 기초가 드러나게 하겠다. 그 담이 무너지면, 너희가 그 밑에 깔려서 죽을 것이다. 그 때에야 비로소 너희는, 내가 주인 줄 알 것이다.
- 내가 이렇게 그 담과 그것을 회칠한 자들에게 내 분노를 다 쏟고 나서, 너희에게 말할 것이다. '그 담은 사라졌고, 그것을 회칠한 자들도 사라졌다.

- along with the prophets of Israel who prophesy to Jerusalem, and who see visions of peace for her when there is no peace,' declares the Lord GOD.
- "Now you, son of man, set your face against the daughters of your people who are prophesying from their own inspiration. Prophesy against them
- and say, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "Woe to the women who sew magic bands on all wrists and make veils for the heads of persons of every stature to hunt down lives! Will you hunt down the lives of My people, but preserve the lives of others for yourselves?
- "For handfuls of barley and fragments of bread, you have profaned Me to My people to put to death some who should not die and to keep others alive who should not live, by your lying to My people who listen to lies."'"
- Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD, "Behold, I am against your magic bands by which you hunt lives there as birds and I will tear them from your arms; and I will let them go, even those lives whom you hunt as birds.

- 예루살렘을 두고 예언한 이스라엘의 예언자들과, 전혀 평화가 없는데도 예루살렘에 대하여 평화의 환상을 본 사람들이 사라졌다' 할 것이다. 나 주 하나님의 말이다."
- "너 사람아, 네 백성 가운데서 자기들의 마음대로 예언하는 여자들을 주목해 보고, 그들을 규탄하여 예언하여라.
- 너는 전하여라. '주 하나님이 말한다. 사람의 영혼을 사냥하려고 팔목마다 부적 띠를 꿰매고, 각 사람의 키에 맞도록 너울을 만들어 머리에 씌워 주는 여자들에게 화가 있을 것이다. 너희가 내 백성의 영혼을 사냥하여 죽이려고 하면서도, 자신의 영혼은 살아 남기를 바라느냐?
- 너희는 몇 줌의 보리와 몇 조각의 빵 때문에, 내 백성이 보는 앞에서 나를 욕되게 하였다. 너희는 거짓말을 곧이 듣는 내 백성에게 거짓말을 함으로써, 죽어서는 안 될 영혼들은 죽이고 살아서는 안 될 영혼들은 살리려고 한다.
- 그러므로 나 주가 말한다. 새 잡듯이 사람의 영혼을 사냥하는 데 사용하는 너희의 부적 띠를, 내가 물리치겠다. 내가 그것을 너희의 팔목에서 떼어 내고, 너희가 새 잡듯이 사냥한 영혼들을 풀어 놓겠다.

- "I will also tear off your veils and deliver My people from your hands, and they will no longer be in your hands to be hunted; and you will know that I am the LORD.
- "Because you disheartened the righteous with falsehood when I did not cause him grief, but have encouraged the wicked not to turn from his wicked way and preserve his life,
- therefore, you women will no longer see false visions or practice divination, and I will deliver My people out of your hand Thus you will know that I am the LORD."

- 또 내가 너희의 너울을 찢어서, 너희 손에서 내 백성을 구해 내고, 그들이 다시는 너희 손에 사냥감이 되지 않게 하겠다. 그 때에야 비로소 너희는, 내가 주인 줄 알 것이다.
- 나는 의인의 마음을 슬프게 하지 않았으나, 너희가 거짓말로 그를 괴롭혔으며, 악인의 손을 너희가 강하게 만들어 주어서, 그가 자신의 악한 길에서 돌아서서 살 길을 찾을 수 없게 하였기 때문에,
- 너희 여자들이 다시는 헛된 환상을 못 보게 하며, 점괘를 말하지도 못하게 할 것이다. 내가 내 백성을 너희 손에서 구해 낼 것이다. 그 때에야 비로소 너희는, 내가 주인 줄 알 것이다.'"
