에스겔 14:1-16:22

 하나님께서는 우상을 섬기는 장로들을 책망하셨고, 어떤 의인도 예루살렘의 심판에서 백성들을 구원할 수 없다고 말씀하셨다. 또한 이스라엘 백성을 열매 맺지 못하는 포도나무와 음란한 여인에 비유하여 그들이 심판을 피할 수 없음을 지적하셨다.
  
  우상 숭배자의 죄(14:1-14:23)    
 
  1. Then some elders of Israel came to me and sat down before me.
  2. And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
  3. "Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their hearts and have put right before their faces the stumbling block of their iniquity Should I be consulted by them at all?
  4. "Therefore speak to them and tell them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "Any man of the house of Israel who sets up his idols in his heart, puts right before his face the stumbling block of his iniquity, and then comes to the prophet, I the LORD will be brought to give him an answer in the matter in view of the multitude of his idols,
  5. in order to lay hold of the hearts of the house of Israel who are estranged from Me through all their idols."'
  1. 이스라엘의 장로들 가운데서 몇 사람이 내게로 와서, 내 앞에 앉았다.
  2. 그 때에 주님께서 나에게 말씀하셨다.
  3. "사람아, 이들은 여러 우상을 마음으로 떠받드는 사람들이며, 걸려 넘어져서 죄를 짓게 하는 올가미를 자기들 앞에 둔 사람들인데, 내가 과연 이런 사람들에게 질문을 받을 수가 있겠느냐?
  4. 그러므로 네가 그들에게 말하고, 그들에게 일러주어라. '나 주 하나님이 말한다. 이스라엘 족속 가운데서 누구든지, 우상들을 마음으로 떠받들고, 걸려 넘어져서 죄를 짓게 하는 그 올가미를 자기들 앞에 두고, 예언자에게 오면, 나 주가 직접, 그 많은 우상에 걸맞게 그에게 답변하겠다.
  5. 이스라엘 족속이 모두 우상 때문에 나에게서 떠났으니, 이제는 내가 직접 그들의 마음을 사로잡겠다' 하여라.
  1. "Therefore say to the house of Israel, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "Repent and turn away from your idols and turn your faces away from all your abominations.
  2. "For anyone of the house of Israel or of the immigrants who stay in Israel who separates himself from Me, sets up his idols in his heart, puts right before his face the stumbling block of his iniquity, and then comes to the prophet to inquire of Me for himself, I the LORD will be brought to answer him in My own person.
  3. "I will set My face against that man and make him a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from among My people. So you will know that I am the LORD.
  4. "But if the prophet is prevailed upon to speak a word, it is I, the LORD, who have prevailed upon that prophet, and I will stretch out My hand against him and destroy him from among My people Israel.
  5. "They will bear the punishment of their iniquity; as the iniquity of the inquirer is, so the iniquity of the prophet will be,
  1. 그러므로 너는, 이스라엘 족속에게 말하여라. '나 주 하나님이 말한다. 너희는 회개하여라. 너희의 우상들에게서 돌아서라. 너희의 모든 역겨운 것에서 얼굴을 돌려라.'
  2. 이스라엘 족속 가운데서나 이스라엘에 머무는 외국 사람들 가운데서 누구든지, 나를 떠나서 우상들을 마음으로 떠받들며, 걸려 넘어져서 죄를 짓게 하는 올가미를 자기들 앞에 두고, 예언자를 찾아와 나에게 물어 본다면, 나 주가 직접 그에게 답변하겠다.
  3. 내가 이 사람을 정면으로 보고, 그를 징표와 속담거리로 만들며, 마침내 나는 그를 내 백성 가운데서 끊어 버릴 것이다. 그 때에야 비로소 너희는, 내가 주인 줄 알 것이다.
  4. 그런데 예언자가 만약 꾀임에 빠져 어떤 말을 선포하면, 나 주가 친히 그 예언자를 꾀임에 빠지도록 버려 둘 것이다. 내가 내 손을 그에게 뻗쳐, 그를 내 백성 이스라엘 가운데서 멸망시키겠다.
  5. 물어 보는 사람의 죄나 예언자의 죄가 같기 때문에, 그들이 저마다 자기의 죄값을 치를 것이다.
  1. in order that the house of Israel may no longer stray from Me and no longer defile themselves with all their transgressions Thus they will be My people, and I shall be their God,"' declares the Lord GOD."
  2. Then the word of the LORD came to me saying,
  3. "Son of man, if a country sins against Me by committing unfaithfulness, and I stretch out My hand against it, destroy its supply of bread, send famine against it and cut off from it both man and beast,
  4. even though these three men, Noah, Daniel and Job were in its midst, by their own righteousness they could only deliver themselves," declares the Lord GOD.
  5. "If I were to cause wild beasts to pass through the land and they depopulated it, and it became desolate so that no one would pass through it because of the beasts,
  1. 그래서 이스라엘 족속이 다시는 나를 떠나서 길을 잃지도 않고, 다시는 온갖 죄악으로 더러워지지도 않게 하여, 그들은 나의 백성이 되고, 나는 그들의 하나님이 되게 하려는 것이다. 나 주 하나님의 말이다."
  2. 주님께서 나에게 말씀하셨다.
  3. "사람아, 만약 어떤 나라가 가장 불성실하여 나에게 죄를 지으므로, 내가 그 나라 위에 손을 펴서 그들이 의지하는 양식을 끊어 버리고, 그 나라에 기근을 보내며, 그 나라에서 사람과 짐승을 사라지게 한다고 하자.
  4. 비록 그 나라 가운데 노아와 다니엘과 욥, 이 세 사람이 있다 하더라도, 그 세 사람은 자신의 의로 말미암아 자신의 목숨만 겨우 건질 것이다. 나 주 하나님의 말이다.
  5. 가령 내가 그 나라에 사나운 짐승들이 돌아다니게 하여, 아이들까지 없애 버리고, 또 그 짐승들이 무서워서 그 땅에 돌아다니는 사람이 없기 때문에 그 땅이 황무지가 된다고 하자.
  1. though these three men were in its midst, as I live," declares the Lord GOD, "they could not deliver either their sons or their daughters. They alone would be delivered, but the country would be desolate.
  2. "Or if I should bring a sword on that country and say, 'Let the sword pass through the country and cut off man and beast from it,'
  3. even though these three men were in its midst, as I live," declares the Lord GOD, "they could not deliver either their sons or their daughters, but they alone would be delivered.
  4. "Or if I should send a plague against that country and pour out My wrath in blood on it to cut off man and beast from it,
  5. even though Noah, Daniel and Job were in its midst, as I live," declares the Lord GOD, "they could not deliver either their son or their daughter. They would deliver only themselves by their righteousness."
  1. 내가 나의 삶을 두고 맹세하건대, 비록 이 세 사람이 그 가운데 있다 하더라도, 그들은 아들이나 딸도 건져 내지 못하고, 그들 자신만 겨우 구출할 것이며, 그 땅은 황무지가 될 것이다. 나 주 하나님의 말이다.
  2. 가령 내가 그 나라에 전쟁의 칼이 들이닥치게 하고, 명령을 내려 '칼아, 이 땅을 돌아다니며 휘둘러라' 하여, 내가 그 땅에서 사람과 짐승을 사라지게 한다고 하자.
  3. 비록 이 세 사람이 그 가운데 있다 하더라도, 내가 나의 삶을 두고 맹세하건대, 그들은 아들이나 딸도 건지지 못하고 그들 자신의 목숨만 겨우 건질 것이다. 나 주 하나님의 말이다.
  4. 가령 내가 그 땅에 전염병을 퍼뜨리고, 내 분노를 그 땅에 쏟아 부어, 거기에서 사람과 짐승이 피투성이가 되어 사라진다고 하자.
  5. 비록 노아와 다니엘과 욥이 그 가운데 있을지라도, 내가 나의 삶을 두고 맹세하건대, 그들은 아들이나 딸도 건지지 못할 것이다. 그들마저도 자신의 의로 말미암아 그들의 목숨만 겨우 건질 것이다. 나 주 하나님의 말이다.
  1. For thus says the Lord GOD, "How much more when I send My four severe judgments against Jerusalem: sword, famine, wild beasts and plague to cut off man and beast from it!
  2. "Yet, behold, survivors will be left in it who will be brought out, both sons and daughters. Behold, they are going to come forth to you and you will see their conduct and actions; then you will be comforted for the calamity which I have brought against Jerusalem for everything which I have brought upon it.
  3. "Then they will comfort you when you see their conduct and actions, for you will know that I have not done in vain whatever I did to it," declares the Lord GOD.
  1. 나 주 하나님이 이렇게 말한다. 내가 예루살렘에서 사람과 짐승이 사라지게 하려고 나의 네 가지 맹렬한 재앙들 곧 전쟁과 기근과 사나운 짐승과 전염병을 거기에 보낼 때에, 그 해가 얼마나 크겠느냐!
  2. 그러나 그 속에서도 재앙을 피한 사람들이 있어서 아들딸들을 데리고 나올 것이다. 그들이 너희에게로 나올 때에, 너희가 그들의 그 악한 행실과 행동을 보면, 내가 예루살렘에 내린 재앙 곧 내가 그 곳에 내린 모든 것에 대하여 너희가 위로를 받을 것이다.
  3. 너희가 그들의 악한 행실과 행동을 보면 너희가 위로를 받고, 내가 예루살렘에서 한 모든 일이 공연한 것이 아님을 알게 될 것이다. 나 주 하나님의 말이다."
 
  열매 없는 포도나무 비유(15:1-15:8)    
 
  1. Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
  2. "Son of man, how is the wood of the vine better than any wood of a branch which is among the trees of the forest?
  3. "Can wood be taken from it to make anything, or can men take a peg from it on which to hang any vessel?
  4. "If it has been put into the fire for fuel, and the fire has consumed both of its ends and its middle part has been charred, is it then useful for anything?
  5. "Behold, while it is intact, it is not made into anything. How much less, when the fire has consumed it and it is charred, can it still be made into anything!
  1. 주님께서 나에게 말씀하셨다.
  2. "사람아, 포도나무 곧 삼림 가운데 있는 그 덩굴이, 다른 모든 나무에 비해 나은 점이 있느냐?
  3. 거기에서 무슨 물건을 만들 목재가 나오느냐? 그것으로 나무 못을 만들어서 무슨 물건을 거기에다 걸어 둘 수 있느냐?
  4. 그것은 땔감으로 불 속에나 던져 버릴 것이다. 그 양쪽 끝은 타 없어졌고, 그 가운데 부분도 그을었는데, 그것이 물건을 만드는 데 무슨 소용이 있겠느냐?
  5. 그 포도나무가 온전할 때에도 무슨 물건을 만드는 데 쓰일 수 없었거늘, 하물며 그것이 불에 타고 그을었으니, 무슨 쓸모가 더 있겠느냐?
  1. "Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD, 'As the wood of the vine among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so have I given up the inhabitants of Jerusalem;
  2. and I set My face against them Though they have come out of the fire, yet the fire will consume them. Then you will know that I am the LORD, when I set My face against them.
  3. 'Thus I will make the land desolate, because they have acted unfaithfully,'" declares the Lord GOD.
  1. 그러므로 나 주 하나님이 말한다. 삼림 가운데 있는 포도나무를 내가 불 속에 땔감으로 던져 넣듯이, 예루살렘의 주민을 불 속에 던지겠다.
  2. 내가 그들을 대적하겠다. 비록 그들이 불 속에서 피하여 나온다 해도, 불이 다시 그들을 삼킬 것이다. 내가 그들을 대적하면, 그 때에야 비로소 너희는, 내가 주인 줄 알 것이다. 그들이 크게 배신하였기 때문에, 내가 그 땅을 황무지가 되게 하겠다. 나 주 하나님의 말이다."
 
  유다에 대한 하나님의 사랑(16:1-16:22)    
 
  1. Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
  2. "Son of man, make known to Jerusalem her abominations
  3. and say, 'Thus says the Lord GOD to Jerusalem, "Your origin and your birth are from the land of the Canaanite, your father was an Amorite and your mother a Hittite.
  4. "As for your birth, on the day you were born your navel cord was not cut, nor were you washed with water for cleansing; you were not rubbed with salt or even wrapped in cloths.
  5. "No eye looked with pity on you to do any of these things for you, to have compassion on you. Rather you were thrown out into the open field, for you were abhorred on the day you were born.
  1. 주님께서 나에게 말씀하셨다.
  2. "사람아, 너는 예루살렘 사람들에게, 그들이 얼마나 역겨운 일을 저질렀는지를 알려 주어라.
  3. 이렇게 말하여 주어라. '나 주 하나님이 예루살렘을 두고 말한다. 너의 고향, 네가 태어난 땅은 가나안이고, 네 아버지는 아모리 사람이고, 네 어머니는 헷 사람이다.
  4. 네가 태어난 것을 말하자면, 네가 태어나던 날, 아무도 네 탯줄을 잘라 주지 않았고, 네 몸을 물로 깨끗하게 씻어 주지 않았고, 네 몸을 소금으로 문질러 주지 않았고, 네 몸을 포대기로 감싸 주지도 않았다.
  5. 이 모든 것 가운데서 한 가지만이라도 너에게 해줄 만큼 너를 불쌍하게 여기고 돌보아 준 사람이 없다. 오히려 네가 태어나던 바로 그 날에, 사람들이 네 목숨을 천하게 여기고, 너를 내다가 들판에 버렸다.
  1. "When I passed by you and saw you squirming in your blood, I said to you while you were in your blood, 'Live!' Yes, I said to you while you were in your blood, 'Live!'
  2. "I made you numerous like plants of the field. Then you grew up, became tall and reached the age for fine ornaments; your breasts were formed and your hair had grown. Yet you were naked and bare.
  3. "Then I passed by you and saw you, and behold, you were at the time for love; so I spread My skirt over you and covered your nakedness I also swore to you and entered into a covenant with you so that you became Mine," declares the Lord GOD.
  4. "Then I bathed you with water, washed off your blood from you and anointed you with oil.
  5. "I also clothed you with embroidered cloth and put sandals of porpoise skin on your feet; and I wrapped you with fine linen and covered you with silk.
  1. 그 때에 내가 네 곁으로 지나가다가, 핏덩이로 버둥거리는 너를 보고, 핏덩이로 누워 있는 너에게, 제발 살아만 달라고 했다. （핏덩이로 누워 있는 너에게, 제발 살아만 달라고 했다.）
  2. 그리고서 내가 너를 키워 들의 풀처럼 무성하게 하였더니, 네가 크게 자라 보석 가운데서도 가장 아름다운 보석처럼 되었고, 네 가슴이 뚜렷하고, 머리카락도 길게 자랐는데, 너는 아직 벌거벗고 있었다.
  3. 그 때에 내가 네 곁으로 지나가다가 너를 보니, 너는 한창 사랑스러운 때였다. 그래서 내가 네 몸 위에 나의 겉옷 자락을 펴서 네 벗은 몸을 가리고, 너에게 맹세하고, 너와 언약을 맺어서, 너는 나의 사람이 되었다. 나 주 하나님의 말이다.
  4. 내가 너를 목욕을 시켜서 네 몸에 묻은 피를 씻어 내고, 기름을 발라 주었다.
  5. 수 놓은 옷을 네게 입혀 주었고, 물개 가죽신을 네게 신겨 주고, 모시로 네 몸을 감싸 주고, 비단으로 겉옷을 만들어 주었다.
  1. "I adorned you with ornaments, put bracelets on your hands and a necklace around your neck.
  2. "I also put a ring in your nostril, earrings in your ears and a beautiful crown on your head.
  3. "Thus you were adorned with gold and silver, and your dress was of fine linen, silk and embroidered cloth You ate fine flour, honey and oil; so you were exceedingly beautiful and advanced to royalty.
  4. "Then your fame went forth among the nations on account of your beauty, for it was perfect because of My splendor which I bestowed on you," declares the Lord GOD.
  5. "But you trusted in your beauty and played the harlot because of your fame, and you poured out your harlotries on every passer-by who might be willing.
  1. 내가 온갖 보물로 너를 장식하여, 두 팔에는 팔찌를 끼워 주고, 목에는 목걸이를 걸어 주고,
  2. 코에는 코걸이를 걸어 주고, 두 귀에는 귀고리를 달아 주고, 머리에는 화려한 면류관을 씌워 주었다.
  3. 이렇게 너는 금과 은으로 장식하고, 모시 옷과 비단 옷과 수 놓은 옷을 입었다. 또 너는, 고운 밀가루와 꿀과 기름으로 만든 음식을 먹어서, 아주 아름답게 되고, 마침내 왕비처럼 되었다.
  4. 네 아름다움 때문에 네 명성이 여러 이방 나라에 퍼져 나갔다. 내가 네게 베푼 화려함으로 네 아름다움이 완전하게 된 것이다. 나 주 하나님의 말이다.
  5. 그런데 너는 네 아름다움을 믿고, 네 명성을 의지하여, 음행을 하였다. 지나가는 남자가 원하기만 하면, 누구하고나 음행을 하여, 네 이름을 그의 것이 되게 하였다.
  1. "You took some of your clothes, made for yourself high places of various colors and played the harlot on them, which should never come about nor happen.
  2. "You also took your beautiful jewels made of My gold and of My silver, which I had given you, and made for yourself male images that you might play the harlot with them.
  3. "Then you took your embroidered cloth and covered them, and offered My oil and My incense before them.
  4. "Also My bread which I gave you, fine flour, oil and honey with which I fed you, you would offer before them for a soothing aroma; so it happened," declares the Lord GOD.
  5. "Moreover, you took your sons and daughters whom you had borne to Me and sacrificed them to idols to be devoured. Were your harlotries so small a matter?
  1. 너는 네 옷을 가져다가, 가지각색의 산당들을 꾸미고, 그 위에서 음행을 하였다. 이런 일은 전에도 없었고, 앞으로도 없을 것이다.
  2. 너는, 내가 네게 준 나의 금과 은으로 만든 장식품들을 가져다가 남자의 형상들을 만들어 놓고, 그것들과 음행을 하였다.
  3. 너는, 수 놓은 옷을 가져다가 그 형상들에게 입혀 주고, 내가 준 기름과 향을 그것들 앞에 가져다 놓았다.
  4. 또 너는, 내가 너에게 준 음식 곧 내가 너를 먹여 살린 고운 밀가루와 기름과 꿀을 그것들 앞에 가져다 놓고, 향기 나는 제물로 삼았다. 네가 정말로 그렇게 하였다. 나 주 하나님의 말이다.
  5. 또 너는, 우리 사이에서 태어난 아들들과 네 딸들을 데려다가, 우상들에게 제물로 바쳐 불사르게 하였다. 너의 음욕이 덜 찼느냐?
  1. "You slaughtered My children and offered them up to idols by causing them to pass through the fire.
  2. "Besides all your abominations and harlotries you did not remember the days of your youth, when you were naked and bare and squirming in your blood.
  1. 네가 내 아들딸마저 제물로 바쳤다. 또 네가 그들을 불 속으로 지나가게 하였다.
  2. 너는, 핏덩이로 버둥거리던 때와 벌거벗은 몸으로 지내던 네 어린 시절을 기억하지 않고, 온갖 역겨운 일과 음행을 저질렀다.'"
 
  감계(鑑戒, 14:8)  본래 ‘징조, 징표’라는 뜻. 여기서는 ‘본보기’라는 의미  
  적신(赤身, 16:7)  옷을 입지 않은 알몸
